This is a touching collection of lessons and themes on the human experience. I have never read a book quite like this one, but I have never found myself in the position in life that I am right now either. Dealing with the slow and painful death of a loved one hasn’t been easy. At the end of the day, I am dealing with it rather well, but could still use some positive reinforcement, so I picked up this book. “Ultimately, there are only three things in human life that any of us have any ability to manage – our thoughts, our emotions, and our behaviors.” We have “response – abilities.” These are my favorite quotes from Finding Your Way: Lessons From Life. The author is a licensed psychologist and an Interfaith Minister. This is very much a religious book. Although not particularly religious myself, I still benefited from much of the wise reminders. This book is for you if you are looking for a few minutes of thoughtful serenity each day to center yourself during stressful periods or transitions. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley. This did not affect my rating. I have provided an unbiased and honest review.
