Beautifully and sensitively written story of 3 lost souls, from very different backgrounds, coming together accidentally to make each other whole.
The narration was excellent and authentic, performed by 3 different people.
The protagonists were well developed and the narrative kept my interest as it built towards the climax of events which happened during the course of one day.
I started out reading this on my Kindle, then bought the Audible version and enjoyed it more.
This book may be classified as YA, but it has a general appeal to any human being.
And it has a pretty song at the end.
I can see this being made into a good movie!
I would definitely read more from this author.
Another interesting book by this author. Well written and moving story. Very good. Her descriptions are well written and set the tone

This was a book filled with amazing characters....Freya meets Nathaniel after falling off a bridge and landing on top of him...Harun is a witness to the fall and so the friendship between the three of them begins... I realize this seems like an unlikely way to meet, but it really worked in this book....
Freya is an emerging singer who has lost her voice....Harun is gay and more than just a little afraid to come out to his parents.... Nathaniel is just a lost boy who will break your heart.... I really was drawn to each of these characters, I found them all so raw and real.... I also found the bond and friendship they formed in such a short time quite realistic... given the circumstances and the fact that they all really needed one another....
The only problem I had with this book was it was very short.... it was almost like a tease... you are given these amazing characters, who are very well-developed, and then that was it.... I just felt as though there was so much to be discussed and so much room for growth, and yet we didn’t get to see that part.... however I do have to say I do like how one of the situations was resolved, it was very sweet.... and on the audiobook you get an additional treat of singing💕
Strongly recommend to fans of books with some pretty darn amazing characters!
Thanks to the publisher for giving me access to an excerpt of this book, I have never read anything by Gayle Forman but I have heard wonderful things about her books I'm so glad that I got the chance to experience her writing for myself, and this made me very excited to read the full novel.
Thank you to Net Galley for sending me a free sampler in exchange for my honest review. I have read Gayle Forman books before, so I knew that this one would be good. I enjoyed the chapters that I was able to read, and It left me wanting more!! I can't wait to go out and get a full copy of this book, so that I can devour it in I'm sure one sitting.
I did not like this book at all. I didn’t know it was just a part of a book or I would not have requested it. I can’t give an honest review on a book that I didn’t read to the end. Sorry, but what I did read I did not like. It was just not my kind of story at all.
By the end of the sneak peak, I wanted to read more, although I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. I felt lost reading this book, which jumps right into the characters' lives and then starts to go backwards to learn more about them. I am curious to see how the three teens move forward after this encounter. As a fan of Gayle Forman, I would definitely recommend this to my students!
I enjoyed reading this preview and look forward to reading the finished copy when available. From the preview I could tell that the characters were really well-developed and unique, and the plot line was original and intriguing. Thanks for the opportunity to read this preview.
I’m glad I got a chance to sample this book. I’ve alwags been intertested in Gayle Forman’s writing, but for one reason or another, I’ve never picked up one of her books. The writing was pretty simple, nothing amazing, but easy to read and engaging enough. I really liked the concept behind the plot. Overall this is probably a nice, quick, contemporary. However, I didn’t find the characters quite intriguing enough to make me want to continue with the full novel. I enjoyed the sample well enough but I don’t think I’ll be picking up a finished copy.
While the writing is good, the story did not grab me. I may buy a copy to complete it. As this is based on merely an excerpt, I won't be posting my review anywhere as it seems unfair to the book. Perhaps my opinion would change with a full reading.
Loved the preview, I can't wait to get my hands on the full book! Looking forward to reading the whole novel!
It’s hard to review a teaser excerpt, but I love this author no had to check it out. So far the story is interesting, and I am fascinated by where these characters tees are going. I will have to get this one and read it in it’s entirety!
I was completely enthralled in this book. The characters, the situation, all of it. LOVED LOVED LOVED.
Gayle Foreman's premise of her novel is always compelling, but the actual works tend to leave me unsatisfied. The characters portrayed in the novel simply didn't compel a lot of feeling from the reader, in my humble opinion. I wanted to see strength and perseverance, and while I understand the context of the novel was to reveal the insecurities of character's that have "lost their way," - I'm not sure they ever really found it.
Loved this book!! You get to learn the different problems of Greys, Harun, and Nathaniel. They have each lost their way in some form or another. I felt like I knew them each on a personal level. This book will not disappoint! Highly recommend!!
Loved the preview, can't wait until it comes out! Wish the full novel had been available for previewing!
I only had a sneak peak so, I am not writing a full review. But, I liked this and would have read the full novel. I guess I will have to wait till it comes out! Thanks for the sneak peak!

It was an interesting concept, but ultimately, not for me.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book had an interesting premise but I felt it was lacking something I couldn't quite put my finger on. The diversity was great but the stories were so depressing I found myself feeling more depressed the more I read. This book was not for me.
I cannot wait until I get to read the full length! The sample was nothing but a big tease!?
