This is the second in Jennika Snow's Ash Brothers series for Carina's new Dirty Bits line, and it wasn't as successful as the first. The book still delivered on all of the promises: short, sexy read with an HEA, but the writing was repetitive and sort of clunky at times.
For example, the main characters have been in love with each other (secretly, of course) for something like 8 years, saving themselves for each other, even when the female MC went off to college. I got that after the first time it was mentioned, but the phrase "since I even knew what love was" was repeated about a half dozen times in different scenes and from both of them. The male MC's concerns about being older than her were repeated a bunch of times in his POV as well. It's the sort of thing that's really irritating in a book that is intentionally written to be consumed in one 1-2 hour sitting.
As for the sex, it's pretty much one scene, with a bit of a sexy epilogue. They're both virgins, but of course they're really good together and he miraculously doesn't have any early-release problems. (Can we not use the term p*ssy-hole? Like... over and over?)
As much as this isn't a recommended read from me, I'll give the third one a read, since I think it'll be fun based on the enemies-to-lovers setup hinted at in this one.

Another cute story. Very insta-lovey, but enjoyable. And I'm loving these quick reads.

Super short and sweet - there was more inner monologue for both the main characters than actual communication which made it slightly more angsty than one might expect from a book of this length. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

Knock on Wood is the second book in the Ash Brothers series. This was a really quick read about Big Johnny Ash and Flora. They were really cute together with amazing chemistry and hot hot sexy! Looking forward to reading book three!

Johnny has always had a thing for Flora but felt he was too old for her. Flora has had a crush on Johnny forever and now that she is getting to go off to college she feels like she will never get her chance. Now Flora has finished college and has returned home. Johnny and Flora have both been saving themselves for each other and will finally give each other what they have been waiting for.

I received an arc from NG for review.

I LOVED this story. It is a very young love and it was sexy, sweet and novella length. Flora and Johnny love each other but there is a big age difference and so he lets her go away to college without declaring his love.

Now she is back and Johnny takes his shot at her. I LOVED every minute of this sweet and romantic story.

Loved this story, always a fan of novellas especially the sexy ones. This is Flora and Big Johnny (Ash brother) story. He is called Big Johnny due to his 6' 6" height and muscles due to his job. Flora has had a crush on Big Johnny since she was 18 yo even though he was a few years older than her. Big Johnny has a crush on Flora also and doesn't have any romantic interest in anyone other than her. Johnny keeps to himself and doesn't tell Flora his feelings so she can go to college, but Flora always intended to return home so she can be near Johnny. This is a great, intense story about passions flaring and crushes growing into something more.

Know on Wood is the second book in the series, about a trio of brothers who are woodworkers, and the women they love. This was a good story, with Big Johnny and Flora. Sparks flew in the first book between them, so I was glad to read their story. Flora has loved Johnny for years, but thought he didn't know who she was. Johnny has loved Flora in return, but was too old for her and wanted her to live her life in college, so he ignored her. Fast forward five years and Flora is back and Johnny is done waiting. This story was really sweet and short and I loved to see how their happy ending worked out. Definitely recommend !

Knock on Wood is the second in the Ash brothers series. I liked this one a lot more than the first one. It was so freaking cute. I had so much fun reading about Johnny and Flora who have loved each other from afar, finally confess their feelings for each other. There is no angst, just a really sweet romance. It works very well as a stand alone. You don't need to read the first one to enjoy this one. I highly recommend this one.

This one didn't seem like it had alot of story to it like the first one. The beginning was great but, after that it just seemed like a really rushed plot.

I thought this was an okay read. I would have liked for more to have happened within the story to make it a bit more interesting. To be honest, I didn't enjoy it as much as some other books I've read that this author has written.

A quick short story with two friends that are so in love with one another that they’re terrified of losing their friendship if they confess their feelings. Really hot when they finally reveal how they feel and get together. Plus we get a glimpse at Liam’s woman. Looking forward to the last book.
