Rosemary S, Librarian
Judging by the number of books on the market about women who chuck it all to move to a quiet village to start up a new business, I’m guessing a lot of us long to escape our own humdrum lives. In Blake’s book, Rosie leaves city life behind to start up a cafe where she serves delicious sweets to an appreciative and growing clientele. Of course there is a handsome local there to help Rosie through a series of obstacles that get thrown in her way. I enjoyed forgetting my own life for awhile to live vicariously through Rosie and I think other readers will too
