I am not a huge fan of mafia books. This is a quick read. The story is pretty unbelievable but still enjoyable. 3 stars The characters are interesting.

Nikolai (Nik) Volkov is another member of the Russian Mafia. BUT this man is on the hunt for a killer. BUT not any killer, a man who killed his best friend and is also a dirty cop killer. Nik's only job is to protect the witness Daphne Allman at any cost. But what happens when the witness doesn't believe him and thinks he's out to kill HER instead. How do you protect a woman who is determined to break free from your protection. You certainly don't fall in love with her? Nik's willing to put his life on the line for Daphne, but is she willing to let him or will she fight him to find out what is really going on.

Loved it! This book was brilliant for me, I read it just as I wanted something to really immerse myself in and forget about everything else. I read this quite quickly and will be checking out this authors other titles :)

The Volkov Brothers book 2 gives us Nickolai and Daphne's tale. Storyline keeps the reader turning pages to see how these characters find their hearts. Also get to visit with rest of the family.

Nikolai Volkov is a strong, sexy, charming and over protective alpha male mobster looking for justice against the dirty cops that killed his best friend. Daphne Allman is a sweet, shy, charming and in the wrong place at the wrong time (or is she) she witnesses a murder that puts her life in danger. Nikolai is her only option to stay alive but the white hot attractions is something she is not sure how to handle. Loved it!

Nik had one thing he wanted to to do. Seeing his friend’s killer brought to justice. It didn’t include falling for the only person to witness the crime take place. Having Daphne by his side was the long weeks before the trial begin was extremely difficult. He found he enjoyed her sassy rebuttals and strength. She would test him at every point of their evolving relationship and it soon become moments he would absolutely treasure.

The series is getting better with each new book and I’m really enjoying reading these books in order and having the pleasure of reading a Leslie North book. Fantastic characters that I really enjoyed and made the book that much more fantastic for me. Also great storyline with superb romance and chemistry between the characters and great interactions between all characters even secondary ones too. I can’t wait for the next book by Leslie North and I would wholeheartedly recommend this book too

Nikolai is in the Russian Mafia and has a friend that gets murdered by a crooked cop. He wants Daphne, the woman who saw the murder to testify against the killer. Daphne is trying to eke out a living and take care of her ailing mother. A truly lovely story about love and second chances.

Not bad, a little dark but well written and steaming hot and sexey!!!!!!!

A very pleasant read,well developed storyline without too much description given,although The character of Nick seems far fetched,bad mafia boss turned good ,it is a pleasant weekend read taken with a pitch of salt.

I’m becoming a big fan of Leslie North as well

This is a story about Nik – a Russian Mobster – and Daphne – a woman who witnessed a crime. Nik meets Daphne when he decides to protect here in order to make sure she is able to stand as witness for the murder of his ‘brother’ by a shady police officer. He decides to protect her because other shady cops want her killed so she cannot incriminate the cop on trial for the death. At first she doesn’t believe Nik.
Like any typical love story, Nik’s attraction to Daphne crosses a line and these two eventually fall in love. I usually love a good mob story, but thins one seemed very overplayed and predictable. Was a pretty quick read.
This is my first story by this author.

Quick easy read with Nikolia Volkov (Bratva) providing protection for murder witness Daphne Allman. This is a steamy love story that begins quickly, has a bit of action, has the bad guys dealt with and is rather predictable but it is also a fun short read if you are looking for a strong alpha male, family oriented heroine and a HEA that is probably not very likely. That said, kind of want to see what happens to the third brother in the series ;)

A fence book....which means I'm on the fence somewhere. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it....make sense?. I like books that flow well, and sizzling hot characters. I guess the description part was stunted for me. Author would use a description...Marilyn Monroe then make her kind of bitchy instead of sexy hot. Story line was not bad but it's been done before and much better....sorry. I'd add some better descriptions and work on the storyline. I'm giving it three generous stars.

Nothing worse then a dirty cop. Nik and Daphne have to deal with one who thinks that he was vindicated by his actions of killing one of Nik's Family. Her Russian Rescuer, is very suspenseful.
