The first one is super quick love??? Sex within hours. Different plot werewolf/mermaid. Second one was cute as well faerie/ex FBI. I gave the book a 3.

This was such a different genre of book that I am use too. This is a different type of paranormal. Werewolves, mermaids oh my. There was an interesting connection between the main characters.

This is just so, so bad. I had to DNF after the first few chapters. It reads like something I might have written in high school. The mermaids first day on land she steps through a portal into a shop for “creatures” where what is basically an NPC offers her a choice between an outfit that is either fun & flirty, dark & mysterious, or sporty, with photos labeled what each article of clothing is called. Because mermaids wouldn’t know what a skirt is, of course. It was just so shallow and vapid.
