This just didn't click with me now in 2024.

I did like the set up so for it. I loved having a bi MMC but I'm still a little lost in the world since i'm farther behind.

Kingsley between boarding school and true adulthood has never been a favorite of mine, but I do love him as a character, so I'm glad I finally picked this up. This was not quite what I expected, and not quite what I maybe wanted, but I did enjoy it, and will probably look to pick up the sequel sometime soon.

The Chateau by Tiffany Reisz explorers our beautiful KINGSLEY. A wicked, erotic thriller with all the twists. The Chateau is more of a prequel as it focuses on young Kingsley and his demons. Tiffany's characters are always so detailed and have so many levels and we fall in love with every single level. I recommend The Chateau and ALL of the Original Sinners books.

Tiffany spins a great yarn, and I loved this companion novel to the Original Sinners series. Not sure I would really be able to classify it as a stand alone (would it make sense without the other books, especially that epilogue?), but I loved it just the same.

Exquisitely subtle, deeply meaningful, scorching hot and a very intense blast from the past, were we get more of this amazing character we're all fascinated and crazy about it. A younger version of Kingsley on his early 20's trying to infiltrate a so called sex cult in order to run a rescue mission.

This book was an amazing journey that sucks you right into their world and make you crave for more. I felt like an Alice in kinky wonderland for a while. This book, the plot, the writing and characters are all so delicious I want to live with them.

It's difficult to leave a solid review without giving away or spoiling something. As many others have stated, this is somewhat of a prequel story.
I loved reading about 24 year old Kingsley, reading his side of his struggles of being with Søren.
Kingsley Théophile Boissonneault sleeps alone in Paris, and dreams about endless winter, about wolves and about a boy dressed in white.

Kingsley is one of my most beloved of characters. Despite his depravity and vanity. his soul is beautiful He's one of those characters that can literally do no wrong in my eyes, as I feel a part of my heart echoed when he is on the page.

Loved it! I love all Tiffany Reisz work, she is one of my favourite authors. Getting to know Kingsley better in this instalment was wonderful. I love being transported to their world.. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Tiffany has a git for writing books in almost a lyrical style about things that you wouldn't expect to have that style, especially a sex cult. I think her writing has only improved over time and this was an excellent way to see Kingsley do more.

I’ll be honest, this book almost passed me by without me knowing it was out. I was happy to get my hands on this book because I’m such a big fan of the Original Sinners books. I was even more thrilled when I learned that this one focuses a lot on my favorite character in the series, Kingsley.

THE CHATEAU is set in the past and it goes over some of Kingsley’s adventures in the French military intelligence agency. If you know Tiffany Reisz then you may know that the Story of O is a heavy influence on her writing and it’s very evident in this book. I found that there were a lot of parts to love with this story, but there were also many weak points as well.

First of all, I really felt like the beginning was off. The story starts off very slowly and I even wondered if Reisz had lost her touch for a moment. The dialogue just didn’t flow nor did the narration. But I think things really pick up once the women in the story make an appearance. Once that occurs, I felt like suddenly things got much interesting and even the dialogue picked up. So I’m not sure what happened there but I feel like there were definitely some parts that were better than others.

Nevertheless, if you’re a fan of the Original Sinners series, and a fan of Kingsley especially, then you don’t want to miss out on this standalone story!

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series. The whole time I was reading I felt like I was missing a piece to the puzzle. I liked King and wanted more of him in the house and the cult like aspect. I didn't really care for Madame in this book.

The Chateau is a peek into the world of our King. 24 years old, Lieutenant in La Légion, still haunted by dreams of that beautiful blonde monster.

King is sent on an “unofficial” mission to investigate the disappearance of his boss’ nephew. As he tries to unravel the mystery surrounding the Madame and her chateau, he begins to unravel parts of himself as well. He’s forced to face his past and the one thing that truly haunts him, Søren.

The Chateau is another beautiful, some what twisted, but always wickedly delicious adventure with our King. Only now we see him navigating the twists and turns, finding his footing on the road to becoming the King we know and love.

Reiss did it again granting readers the perfect inside look into Kingsley’s world.. When I saw the news that a book exclusively about one of her most enigmatic characters was going to be released, speed records were broken in order to preorder the novel in order not to miss out on a single second on an opportunity this delicious. The story manages to perfectly balance witty conversations and steamy encounters while illustrating a love that endures truly almost all things through the decades.

I wanted so much more from Kingsley’s back story but sadly I just didn’t connect with what we were given. I’ve enjoyed other books in this series so I’m not sure why I’m feeling such a disconnect with this one.

This book was like a winter fairy tale. I couldn’t put it down. I’ve always loved Kingsley’s character, and seeing him come to life in this book was a dream come true. While I don’t think you need to have read all the Original Sinners books to appreciate this story, it’s definitely an added bonus as it gives Kingsley such depth and richness.

My Kindle was sizzling after reading this erotica! Wowza! I have read books by the author in the past and knew she wrote books high on the heat index but this one blew me away. There were so many different & interesting aspects the plot, even a sex cult?! Woah! But I have to admit this one made the panties a little damp!

DAMN, y’all. I had the time of my frickin life reading about Kingsley having the time of HIS frickin life infiltrating a sex cult. Young King is hilarious and sweet and super willing to sleep with anyone (except Nazis. Dude’s got standards.) The result is the most delightful piece of erotica ever.

Things do take a more melancholy turn in the back half, but everything fits beautifully—with LOTS of meat for established Original Sinners fans. ❤️❤️❤️

And for once, I’m not gonna tell you you should read all Reisz’s other books before this one. You SHOULD read them if you like good BDSM, but you can absolutely start with THE CHATEAU if female-dominated 80s French sex cults are your jam. Have at it, friends!

The plot is completely unique and so not what I expected or usually read. Suspense, bisexual, BDSM, intense erotic thriller, dark romance, twists and turns, you name it! Total mindf*ck really. I reckoned I should have read the whole series from the beginning to get a better understanding of all the history. Exquisite writing.

Tiffany Reisz has written a really suspenseful read that had many twists within this story that I was not expecting. the characters in the story really intrigued me and the chemistry between them was really hot. This had a lot of hot moments throughout the story that left me on the edge of my seat.
