LOVED IT!!!
I could not put it down!!! Tiffany Reisz knows how to captivate her readers'attention from the very first page..
Kingsley Boissonneault is sexy, strong and works in the French military. His mission makes him infiltrate a kinky/ sex cult. He tackles his mission the same way he has always done except that he is going to be venturing down a dangerous path that will put him at risk emotionally and might not leave him unscathered.
“Not all problems are meant to be solved,” she said. “Some are meant to be endured.”
This story is erotic and mysterious! A must read for TR 's fan of the Sinners Series.

Oh King, my heart grows each time I read about him. I love how easily we can fall into his story, completely immersed in him. Tiffany Reisz doesn't disappoint (does she ever?) in this incredible, fun, sexy, suspenseful story of our favorite french man. No one writes literature and kink together like Mrs. Reisz does and I look forward to each and every of her books as they never EVER disappoint. Like the other original sinner books, we follow King on an adventure we wont forget. Enjoy!!

I have chosen not to read and review this tile. While the blurb drew me to the story, I was not engaged with the characters or the way the story was written.

I appreciate the opportunity to review this early title and am looking forward to the next title through your company.

Thanks,
Laura

I had not read anything by Tiffany Reisz before but I was so taken by the title and the mystery of it that I decided to try it even though it's part of a series. I have to agree with the accompanying press release I received that it is a perfect jumping on point for anyone new to it as it filled in just enough but made me want to know more.

Kingsley is a French spy who is in between assignment so he occupies himself with one night stands and well, that. He's also haunted by a recurring vivid dream featuring someone from his past. We're left to think that it's someone he cared deeply for and that person is someone he desperately longs for. An intriguing assignment finally does come his way that he jumps at because there's something about it that speaks to whatever is missing inside of him. He is tasked with infiltrating a "cult" to rescue the son of an important official. This cult just so happens to revere a book that Kingsley is quite familiar with. Things should get very interesting now!

At first Kingsley comes across as bored but this assignment seems to wake him up. It seems to give him the excitement he's been lacking and also fulfills any lust-filled desires he has. I know The Chateau is an erotica thriller but I was mesmerized mostly by Kingsley himself. I hadn't read a male character that was so in tune with his own sexuality, so truthful in his words, and unfazed by the things that were happening at the chateau. Even with all the mind games there was a measured amount of honesty in the characters' conversations and actions. Reisz built this sexy, mysterious and slightly menacing world and I was all wrapped up in it. That it's set in the 1980's makes it feel almost other worldly.

The thing is when some folks see a book described as "erotica", it's assumed that all there is sex and perverse situations but it didn't feel that way to me. I felt that I was also getting a story unlike any other I've read. I was so fascinated by Kingsley's mind and the ghosts that he couldn't escape from. The Chateau is an excellent story filled with some eye-popping moments but also a plot and leading man that draws you in immediately.

This was the first book I've read in the Original Sinners series and it definitely won't be the last. Kingsley. Sigh. I love how complex Reisz's characters are. I love how she weaves a story together.
This is billed as a stand-alone, and it does, however, I did feel like the ending was a little rushed. I felt it lacked something, but I think that was because I didn't have the backstory from previous titles to fall back on. Otherwise a nuanced, fast-paced read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
If you enjoy BDSM, complex relationships and even more complex characters, this story is for you!

I didn't originally realise that this was part of a larger series: no matter this was still an enjoyable endeavour surprisingly more humorous in its execution than erotic which surprised me as I was expecting the opposite.
My rating reflects the fact that I haven't read the rest of the series so was somewhat uninvested here.
If you are a regular consumer of this series I imagine the opposite would apply.
Though technically this can be read as a standalone: all the components are there: in my opinion, this would be better served read as part as the series especially since you will already then be invested in the outcome here.
This is a partial backstory of 24-year-old Lieutenant Kingsley and his adventures concerning The aforenamed Chateau.
It's fun flirty and sexy: A well-written foray into a world of taboo practices and free expression.
I enjoyed this very much but it didn't really set me on fire probably because as I mentioned earlier I read this as a solo offering.
Still, it was enjoyable and well written so for that reason this gets a thumbs up from me.
Thank you to the Author and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of "Do Not Disturb" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

The Chateau is book 9 in Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series, and it’s a story that readers are going to love. It delves into fan-favorite Kingsley’s past, and interestingly enough, I think this book could stand on its own. If you’ve read the series up to now, I do think it will mean a bit more to you – because who doesn’t love Kingsley longing for Søren? But if you’re new to Tiffany Reisz and this series, I think you could start here, get a taste for her writing, and see that this series, whenever she decides to pick it up, is in full swing. And fans flock to every offering of Kingsley, Nora, Søren and everyone else the author’s given us throughout this series!

I am not sure how you review this book other than to say Tiffany Reiz varies her style constantly.
This was a page turner, a puzzle and a joy to read.
Many twists and turns and a lot of her trade mark sexiness.
Will he won’t he?
Read for yourself to see.

It's been no secret that this year has seen the Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz become my favourite series of all time. After finally starting these book in January, I have read and re-read them, and so when I heard that Kingsley was getting his own book where we go back in time to witness what he got up to during his time in the French Foreign Legion, I couldn't contain my excitement!

I dove in almost as soon as The Chateau hit my kindle, and I immediately got lost in Kingsley's world. Getting to know a younger Kingsley during the period of time where Søren wasn't in his life, at least not in the physical form anyway, was interesting to say the least.

I loved seeing this part of him - it was the Kingsley we love, all while also being someone new, at least to us. I loved his time at the Chateau, the twists, the memories, the whole ride. It was a thrilling and incredibly sexy read, which should come as no surprise being a novel about the one and only Kingsley Boissonneault. As soon as I finished, I went right back to the beginning. A fantastic addition to an incredible series.

I really suck at following up here on NetGalley but duh, it's a book about young Kingsley, that's like shooting fish in a barrel for me. I loved this story so much.

Kingsley has always been my favorite. Actually hold on… let me amend that – Soren, Nora, and Kingsley are loved equally, but in so many different ways. I only say Kingsley is my favorite because having spent most of the time/head of Kingley in this King-centric book.

We get story of King’s lost years in the Legionnaire. In this case, when he was sent to rescue a “lost” nephew in a sex cult. And because this is Tiffany’s writing nothing is ever black or white. While the life at the Chateau is eccentric, even by BDSM standards, it works for that house. Even completely open minded I was on a seesaw of emotions… hate and love… fear and turned on… back to rage for or even at all the characters.

While all that Kingsley endures in the book is hard to take or even put yourself in his shoes, essentially as a masochists he asked for. Unfortunately I am not one and my mental state is a bit wonky. So basically I had an absolute bestest (yes that’s a word now) read… hmmmm perhaps I do have a bit of masochist in me.

The Original Sinners series of books are some of my most favorite books ever. I find myself falling so deeply into each story; I pretty much can't put the book down once I start it. The Chateauwas no different as it stared Kingsley Edge when he was 24 years old and working for a secret French intelligence service. I absolutely adore that Tiffany Reisz gives us books in the series that lets us learn more about each of the character's back story. Yes readers knew about Kingsley's work with the French intelligence service, but not any specific cases he handled. Seriously I have to say if we got to read only about one of Kingsley's cases, him being sent to infiltrate a female-run sex cult was absolutely the perfect case to read.

I loved every single minute of The Chateau. I love to see how each character's mind works and Kingsley's is every bit as fun to watch as Søren or Nora. There was so much more than meets the eye to this story, and I loved seeing it all unfold. Erotic thriller description says right up front there are many smoking hot sex scenes, but they were really just so much more. I especially loved Kingsley's time with Madame as I think it truly put him back on the path to Søren and his future. I'll admit I had figured out part of what was going on with Madame and the reason for Kingsley being sent there, but not everything, and I love that I still get stumped after reading so many books in the Original Sinners series.

I honestly love each new installment in the Original Sinners series and devour it as soon as it hits my kindle. This series of books in my opinion is one you will love from the beginning, keep reading to see what it is all about, or just not enjoy it at all. For me it was a bumpy start, but then I fell in love with all the characters and now I anxiously await each new installment in the series. I'd love to say readers could start with The Chateau and not be a bit lost about the characters, but if there was ever a series of books to be read in order, The Original Sinners series is that series of books. Start with The Siren and keep reading until you make it to The Chateau. I promise it will be so worth reading the entire series.

This is the ninth book in this series by this author. This is a erotic thriller story. This book is definitely one hot read. I haven't read any of the others in this series but i'll definitely be going back and reading more. Amazing characters with electric chemistry. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.

Highly recommended read.

Tiffany Reisz is always a pleasure to read. You just never know what you'll find every time you pick up one of her books. If you've followed her books, then you've heard a lot about the infamous Kingsley and his kinky ways. This story takes you to Kingsley's past and gives you a view of what made him into whom he became later.

Genre: Erotic Thriller
Type: Book 9 of The Original Sinners series
POV: Third Person
Rating: 4+ Stars

The Kingsley we know from the Original Sinner series is a mature man with great wealth, extensive spy network and erotic mastery. In The Chateau, it is when he is young, twenty four to be exact. This is his years whilst he worked for a covert French spy agency.
While this can be read as a stand-alone, I truly believe that having read all the other books heightened my enjoyment. The Original Sinners Series is an absolutely favorite of mine and I will always read anything involving anyone of these Sinners.

Thank you to the following for permitting me access to an advance reader's copy (ARC) of The Chateau. This generosity did not impact my honesty when rating/reviewing.

I have to admit that I have missed a few of the previous Original Sinners books but I couldn't resist this story about a younger Kingsley. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed at all.

Kingsley is a 24-year-old living in Paris and working undercover for the French military. While on medical leave, he gets an assignment to fetch the colonel’s nephew. What he learns is that the nephew is 19-years-old and has left for a place called the Chateau. No one knows where it is or how to get there. The only way to get there is to be accepted and he must call and talk to the madame of the house to be accepted. The call is not that hard but the wait for the return call is a six-hour wait. But Kingsley gets the call and meets the madame at a local hotel. After he passes her inspection, he is blindfolded on the way to the Chateau, so he cannot see where they are going.

Once he arrives, he learns that the women are in charge and the men are the slaves or submissives. He seems to be okay with this to a point. When he meets other women there, they are all beautiful, so why wouldn't the men be okay with the arrangement. When Kingsley finds the nephew, he finds out that he is not being held against his will nor is he a captive. He doesn't want to leave, he is happy where he is.

After Kingsley is sent away, he can't think of anything else but the Chateau, he wants to go back. But he gets an assignment to go to New York. After six months, he is back in Paris and trying to figure out how to get back to the Chateau. He calls the number but there is no answer. As he is walking away, the phone rings and he answers it. It is his way back in and he can't wait to get there.

But he will not be happy with Madame when he learns of the game she will play with him to get him to stay. He has to choose between the one he has always loved and the one he will love in the future. What will Kingsley do? Can he choose the one to make his future what it turns out to be? Will he ever be able to go back to the Chateau?

This story can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest reading some of the Original Sinners, maybe Kingsley's stories, just so you will know what is going on in his mind now. I can't wait to go back and read the stories I have missed. Tiffany Reisz has a way of drawing you into this story and keeping you there until the end and leaving you breathless and wanting more. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I adore The Original Sinners series and all the kooky kinky characters, especially Kingsley! He's such an adorable rogue. This is a story that goes into a time after Kingsley left school and worked for the military. He's pining over Søren and looking to forget the boy of his dreams (literally). The legion sends him on a reconnaissance mission to find his superior's missing "nephew" at what they believe is a sex cult. Kingsley ends up gaining access and meets the Madame. There are some crazy plot twists and turns as the Madame really takes being a sadist to heart and has no issue messing with Kingsley’s head. He falls in love, in lust, and gets Søren literally beaten out of him. The story meanders a bit mid-book and I felt maybe went on a little long, but Kingsley is always fun to read with his hopping bed to bed, so it wasn't too bad. It's meant to be a side story on its own and it achieves that. Fun summertime read!

Are you familiar with the Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz? If not, you NEED to get familiar with the series!! Having said that, I believe The Chateau could be read as a standalone.

This story is about Kingsley, as a young adult. He's been given a secret mission to find and save the Commander's nephew, Leon, who has been "inducted" into a cult.

This story was the perfect mix of kink, mystery/suspense, Kingsley, and comedy! I loved seeing young Kingsley, on his own. Seeing who he was when part of the French Army. Of course, there are references to his first love, but the choices he's forced to make were just heartbreaking (in a good way).

Ah, how I've missed The Original Sinners...

Intelligent. Intriguing. Twisted.

The Chateau is the 9th installment of The Original Sinners series, with Kingsley as the narrator. However, it can be easily read as a standalone. Kingsley's dreams may be more enthralling to new readers who have never met or heard the backstory featuring Søren. However, series fans will eat that portion up like candy.

Taking place in the early 1980s in France, the climate and era were completely different than today. Kingsley is young, jaded yet somehow naïve at the same time. He's starved for love, comfort, and attention.

Witty and charismatic, I found unexpected humor during Kingsley's interactions with the underling, but especially when flirtatiously bantering with his love interests. While I believe many will find it a hot book, that wasn't the focal point for me. I absolutely adored Kingsley's interactions with others.

A little bit twisted, my favorite element was how everything fit together flawlessly. Tight and concise, written with intelligence, understanding, and knowledge, The Chateau was a mature book.

Without spoilers or giving away plot points. Kingsley is on assignment, chasing down a nephew who was supposedly brainwashed into a sex cult, by the infamous yet elusive Madame at the Chateau. While he may have found the boy, he also found himself.

To me, it was more mysterious, connecting all the dots, than sexy, which was the perfect mix for me.

The entire series has many twist and turns, but this was the favorite novel of mine within the lineup, with The Prince as a close second. I'm just going to continue to ignore The Mistress's existence. (laughs at myself)

Fans will go nuts by the Søren cameo. My heart kept breaking and repairing as Kingsley had dreams and worked out his feelings for the sadist.

This is the ninth book in the series – and every loyal fan, like myself, must be in sheer delight at getting more of the story revealed. But if you have never read one before (really? have you been in the Foreign Legion?), then actually this would be a fun place to start, and you really wouldn't be spoiled for then going back to book one. Do be warned though, once you are in, well, it is nearly as difficult to leave as from the aforementioned Foreign Legion! Tiffany Reisz has written a totally addictive, confounding, and extremely erotic series, and long may more books be released.

The blurb gives you the basics – what I think you need to know is that this book is, in part, a vision of what a community run by women might just be like. Okay, a very kinky group of women, but the reversal of power, expectation, and sensitivities is wonderfully imagined, and it does Kingsley a world of good to consider these possibilities. The fact that every game also prods and pokes his masochistic nature is a bonus that he is not slow to appreciate, even when he simultaneously hates it. A wonderful mind game indeed.

I have always loved Kingsley, so was delighted to get to see him as a young man making his way in a world that had been harsh to him from his teenaged years. We also get to understand just how deeply Søren was entrenched in his soul. And at the end we have to think very carefully about the veracity of some statements made, in the light of the way that Madame had been so manipulative... bluff and double bluff!

The eroticism in this book is beautifully understated and I came away far more excited by what I learned about Kingsley than anything else. Be prepared for mind games.
