Loving book 2. This is a story involving a baby, fertility and lies.

It gripped my attention from chapter one and mostly keep on going.
Intense just as any suspense should be.

You also have characters popping in from book one so be sure to read that one first, also, you will get to see some changes in Josie.

Really enjoyed the writing, the plot and the pacing of the plot.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher on NetGalley a while ago and have just now gotten to it. I absolutely loved this book. It hooked me from the beginning with the fast paced writing and the good character development. I wish I had read the first book in this series beforehand, but now am looking forward to reading that one as well as the others in the Detective Josie Quinn series. Thank you to the publisher for this free copy!

The second book in the Detective Josie Quinn series starts a couple of years after the first one ended. Josie is situated in her new job as Chief of Police. Her wedding to Luke is approaching. But he is acting a little weird. A recent murder case has really thrown him for a loop.

And then all of a sudden, a new case blows wide open and the whole world turns upside down. Twists right off the bat had me exclaiming out loud, starting my friends who were sitting nearby. And they just continued throughout the whole book. I have a tendency to read in public, and this is one of those books where I could almost embarrass myself with my exclamations with each surprise.

Another interesting thing in this book is all of the random news stories interspersed throughout the book. I had no idea what the connection was, though I knew it would eventually be revealed. And I don't want to giveaway the spoilers, but the way Josie handles certain situations at the end make me admire her even more.

Lisa Regan is a master story teller.
I can honestly say I have never read a book by Lisa that I have not liked.
There are always twists and turns you won't see coming and you will not want to put her books down.
I have stocked her books in my store and we sell out all the time. It's a great joy to be able to talk to my customers about the authors I love and turn them into a lover of the great authors I read like Lisa Regan.

This is the second book in the Josie Quinn series, and not having read the first book, I think there might be a reference of two I didn't quite catch, but still this made for some entertaining reading, and I just love Josie as my new favourite kickarse detective! Can't wait to see if there is another book in the series!

Suspenseful, thrilling & unputdownable!

THE GIRL WITH NO NAME (Detective Josie Quinn #2) by LISA REGAN is a gripping, action-packed, and an entertaining read that immediately drew me in to the characters and storyline. This was an extremely fast-paced read that had me rapidly swiping those pages as fast as I could. Actually once I started reading this book I was fully invested in this story and read it in one day. I couldn’t put it down. When I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it.

LISA REGAN delivers a character-driven story here with lots of twists and turns and extremely compelling characters. Josie Quinn is probably one of my favorite female detectives and I am totally invested in her character. Her character is probably the best part of this series as well as the supporting cast. It isn’t hard to get wrapped up in this book along with Josie and her team. I don’t think I was distracted once while I was reading this one.

This was a Traveling Friends Group Read and upon finishing this one I quickly read book #3 in this series and I must say that one was even better than this one and this one was one heck of a ride!

Norma’s Stats:
Cover: I love this cover! I am a country gal and anything that looks rustic or haunting is very appealing to me!
Title: Intriguing, suspenseful, and an extremely fitting representation to storyline.
Writing/Prose: Well-written, gripping, and proficient.
Plot: Twisty, action-packed, compelling, fast-paced, held my attention fully and highly entertaining.
Ending: The ending was pleasing and satisfying but just made me want more Josie so upon finishing this one went right into reading the next in the series, HER MOTHER’S GRAVE.
Overall: This series just keeps on getting better with each installment! Would recommend!

The Girl With No Name is one of those books that has more twists and turns than a back road in rural Pennsylvania. I found myself eagerly awaiting what would come next and page bent to find out the ending. I'd highly recommend this to others. Just hold on to your seat because it's going to be a twisty ride :)

Interim Police Chief Josie Quinn is called to the scene of a crime where a woman is very badly beaten. She vaguely recognizes the address but can't place it until she arrives on the scene. The assaulted woman is all too familiar and it comes to light that she has just given birth but the baby is missing. Josie soon discovers that her fiancé, Luke, is also no where to be found and a woman is discovered fleeing his house. The woman claims she has no idea who she is or why she is at Luke's house. She doesn't even know who Luke is. Josie is convinced that the cases are linked. She just has to figure out how. A botched paternity link might be the answer. Following many twists, turns, and surprises, Josie is slowly unraveling the mystery and the answers are just beyond her reach.

This is a fantastic book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. I think I liked it even more than the first book. I definitely recommend reading this series in order because there is a lot of valuable character information learned in the first book. It makes this one so much more meaningful. Highly recommended! I love the author more with every book I read.

Once again Lisa Regan had Kaceey, Susanne and I lost in the untamed dense woody coulee while we were reading the second book to the Detective Josie Quinn series The Girl With No Name. She pulled us deep into the woody area and we hid from life to read this fast-paced story that grabbed us right from the start to the very end.

We grew to love Detective Josie Quinn even more in this story. In the first book to the series Vanishing Girls, it took us awhile to warm up to Josie and really connected to her character. It was her relationships that won us over. We were happy to see Josie still connected to the relationships we became invested in and we see her dealing with the some of the fallout of Vanishing Girl. This allowed us to see her as a more realistic character.

We were intrigued right from the start when Josie is called to a crime scene and we realize the victim has a connection to her from Vanishing Girl. As Josie digs deeper she finds a connection to her fiance and the story became even more interesting for us as we tried to piece together the crime.

Lisa Regan took us down another intense heart pounding fast paced road again with twists and turn and an ending we didn’t see coming. We highly recommend both books to this series.

3.9 Stars* (rounded up)

One Heck of a Page Turner!

Josie Quinn is back and this time she’s in charge. When Detective Noah Frawley calls Chief Quinn to the scene of the crime where a woman has been found, beaten almost to death, her hours old newborn having been torn from her, Josie can’t imagine things getting any worse. Then, inevitably they do: Luke, her fiancé, goes missing. The evidence leads to a mystery woman who claims amnesia and just happens to have been found in Luke’s home, wearing his clothes.. This mystery woman was also at the crime scene when the battered woman gave birth. It simply can’t be a coincidence. As the investigation continues, Josie can't help but wonder how Luke ties into all of this - finding out the answers to that question terrifies her, though not as much as the idea of not finding him at all.

WIth time slipping away, and Luke and the newborn baby’s life hanging in the balance, Josie and Noah are in overdrive and neither can slow down for a second or all will be lost.

“The Girl With No Name” is a drama filled mystery with crazy twists and turns, some of which were a little out there and some of which kept me on my toes. It is one mystery/suspense whose pages I couldn’t swipe through fast enough to get to the end. This being the second book in the Josie Quinn Detective series, I am now fully invested and have high hopes for this series and for Josie. Lisa Regan sure knows how to write intriguing female characters as is evident by Josie Quinn and my personal favorite, Claire Fletcher (whose character and series I miss, and hope to see again one day soon).

This was a sister read with Brenda and Kaceey - all 3 of us liked this one a lot and we can’t wait to see what Ms. Regan has in store for Josie Quinn next. For the full Traveling Sister Group Review, please see Brenda and Norma’s Amazing Blog: https://twosisterslostinacoulee.com

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for Josie Quinn!!

Josie, the interim sheriff, is called to a scene of a possible home invasion. The female victim is now in the hospital with life threatening injuries. Compounding her troubles, her newborn baby is nowhere to be found.
Eventually, the investigative trail leads too close to home for Josie. Her problems nearly run parallel to that of this latest victim. Josies’ fiancé Luke is missing and an unknown woman is found in his home with no memory of who she is or why she was there.
As the case begins to unfold, deeply-held secrets may be uncovered that would change her life forever.

A lightning-fast read that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the action. I adore the detectives working with Josie! Noah is fast becoming a new favorite character for me. (Book crush!) Hoping his role will be even bigger in the next installment!

I’m quickly becoming a huge Lisa Regan fan. I enjoyed the first book in the series The Vanishing Girls but this one was just that much better! The third book in this series Her Mother’s Grave is to be released July 2018. I’m already standing in line! Keep them coming Lisa!

A Traveling Sister read with Brenda and Susanne!!🤗💞

I was hoping, after reading the debut novel in this series, that the follow up would be just as good and continue the set up from it's predeccesor. It did that and more!
The Girl With No Name, brought back alot of characters from the previous novel, obviously the most notable being its titular character, Josie Quinn. I really liked her way of thinking and detective skills, as well as her no nonsense running around. Her fiance Luke is nothing special that's for sure! This novel just left me wanting more and more. Looking forward to #3.

Thank you to Netgalley the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

This was a great book. I love the character of Josie Quinn, I have already ordered her first book. This looks like it’s going to be a great series I can’t wait to read many more books. The storyline was really good, fast-paced, lots of energy and lots of suspects. I enjoyed being along for the ride with Josie trying to find the answer to the question of what happened to Luke and the baby. I liked the resolution of the story, I can’t wait to see where it goes in the future with her and her fellow officers.
