This book is so wholly original, so fresh in spirit and tone, that I can't begin to compare it to anything else. It is its own self. It is about the discovery and formation of new selves. It is about transition, and transformation, and loss. It's about being human, or maybe being something else. It's dreadfully uncomfortable, but also a hot-water-bottle on a cold night. Damnit, it's just so *good.*

I wasn't sure how I felt about this book until the ending. I really liked the multiple story lines but I think it took a bit of the focus away from the main plot. The relationship between Angelina and Sayoko was very interesting and thoughtful.I think it is a great read and makes you really consider the future of AI and robots.
