This is the story of Ryan and Brighton. Brighton has always been the good girl. She wants to try new things and being invited to the Boardroom suits her plans. Ryan is Brighton's coworker but he can't stay away. A sexy, steamy read involving BDSM, finding out who you are and exploration of fantasies. An enjoyable read. I am looking forward to the next book

Review:
This is the second book in the Boardroom series and though I did not read the first book it did not hinder my enjoyment of reading this book.
This book starts out very sexily and does not stop. I liked all the forbidden-ness in the book, from the Boardroom and what goes on in there to the workplace romance. I really liked Bri and Ryan, both separately and only. I found them more likeable as they worked out their issues and became a couple. The Author is very good a writing a well-rounded story. It is a short read, so I easily read it in an afternoon.
3.5Stars
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*
Twists, turns and unexpected surprises abound in this little jewel that keeps your attention on the pages and on the edge of your seat with the explosive fireworks, sizzling passion and plenty of heat throughout the story. I was mesmerised by the characters as their personalities started to transform and started to shine through as you really their story, especially Brie’s. The chemistry was electrifying and off the charts hot and explosive between the characters that you could get a bit burnt by them while your reading their story. I would absolutely recommend this book to all book lovers out there
4.25-4.5 stars. This was a really good book! Blind Trust is Ryan and Brie/Brighton's story. Ryan is a lawyer/partner at a law firm where Brie is a paralegal, but the two don't know each other well or work closely together. For her birthday, one of Brie's friends sets her up with an experience in The Boardroom, which is an organization where people meetup to participate in or watch prearranged sexy scenes together. Brie has a very sexy night, blindfolded in the boardroom, with an unknown man with whom she feels a strong connection. Later at work, she recognizes the voice of Ryan as the man in the boardroom. The two work closely together on a case and gradually get to know each other. They are both very attracted to each other and neither can forget about what happened between them. Ryan and Brie embark on a tentative journey to a relationship and a forever love.
I have enjoyed both books in the series a lot. They are very sexy, sensual, but also full of emotion. The characters are mature acting with open, honest communication and no silly misunderstandings or pushing away. I adored Ryan and Brie. They were perfect for each other. Neither had ever known love before because of issues from their pasts. They were both innocent of relationships; it was sweet seeing them learn together. They understood each other in a way no one had ever understood them before. In some ways, Ryan was still a lost little boy inside, closed off of all emotion before he met Brie. Once they let each other in, they were awesome together, had great chemistry and and loved each other so much. I really liked the sexy, mysterious vibe of this book. The voyeurism aspect was very hot. There is no sharing or thoughts of sharing outside of their relationship.
Overall, this was another great book for The Boardroom series. I love the vibe of these books. Sexy, but emotional. I'm curious about the other members of the Boardroom and I see an opportunity for more stories there, as well. I can't wait for more from Ms. Aicher!
Blind Trust by Lynda Aicher is book Two in The Boardroom series. This is the story of Brie and Ryan.
Bri and Ryan work for the same company although Ryan is a higher up. With this company comes the Boardroom where people let off steam via sexual encounters. There Bri and Ryan see each other. Both are very hardworking and working toward their careers....but their attraction is starting to be their main focus.
This was a very hot easy read!!
While this could easily be read as a standalone, I went back and reread the previous book because I misremembered just enough to keep confusing myself! Brie is a paralegal and Ryan is a partner at the law firm she works at. So basically, this is a office romance with a dash of kinky sex club, abusive childhoods, and emotional issues. Brie hides her emotions – hides pretty much her entire self – behind a placid country-club facade – years of her mother nitpicking any perceived flaw have led her to be afraid to be anything other than blandly perfect. The results of Ryan’s abusive childhood mean he expects any sort of relationship to be quid pro quo – if someone does something nice for him, he expects they’re always looking for something in return – and he approaches life very logically, with little to no emotional input. His ex-wife basically called him an emotionless robot. A somewhat anonymous encounter (he recognizes her, but she doesn’t recognize him) at a kinky sex club leads to an awareness that they can’t ignore.
“But just because I don’t share my opinion doesn’t mean I don’t have one.”
She smothered a smile. “Do you ever not debate?”
“Yes.” He waited a beat, face serious. “But it’s more fun if I do.”
“For you, maybe.”
He nodded, smiling just a touch. “Sometimes that’s the only fun I have.”
“Ouch.” Her reflexive thought was out before she’d thought better of it. Was he serious? How…sad. Her heart went out to him when she knew it shouldn’t. But how could it not?
I especially liked the progress of the relationship in this book. There’s not really any giant romantic gestures or big discussions – they just slowly start spending more time together to the point that, by the time Brie needs to find a new apartment, Ryan simply invites her to move in with him, pointing out quite logically that they’re already spending lots of time at his place and then adds in the adorably sweet addendum that he really likes waking up with her and cuddling with her after work. Brie is suffocating in the mold her mother has made for her, and she struggles to figure out if what she feels for Ryan is because she wants him, or because he fits her mom’s “perfect husband” checklist. This – and Ryan’s scars from his abusive family – are the main roadblocks to their relationship, and I thought were handed very well.
“I’m not very good at this.” The honesty came out on a rush of trust he rarely extended.
She ran her fingers through the short hairs near his nape, inciting small shivers that chased each other to his heart. “I’ve noticed.” Her smile matched the teasing spark in her eyes. “And I get it.”
His brows dipped. “You do?”
She lifted to press her lips to his in a short but gentle kiss. “I do.” Her tongue traced a quick path over her bottom lip. “It’s a little new for me too.”
“You?” He shook his head. “I can’t see that.”
Her brow lifted in staunch reprimand. “Getting fucked by my boss in a room full of watchers is not something I can claim experience with.”
As with the previous entry in the series, this book is seriously steamy, with the kink focus being on exhibitionism this time. Besides that, there’s a lot of witty banter between Brie and Ryan, which I loved. The only piece I didn’t care much for was Lori, Brie’s friend who’s a member of the Boardroom and the person who initially set her up with them. She seemed very dismissive of Brie’s worries at times, and I wished Brie would’ve had a more empathetic sounding board.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this book, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a steamy office romance!
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
The boardroom is back!!!! And it's just as HOT and sexy as the in the first book in this series!
Brie's friend, Lori, gives her the ultimate birthday present...a night in the boardroom to fulfill her deepest fantasy of giving herself over to several men at once. It appears that traditionally Ryan takes a further removed role in the boardroom, interacting in the scene but never wanting to be the star of the scene. Everything changes when he recognizes the beautiful, blindfolded woman who enters the boardroom as a paralegal in the law firm where he is a partner. Ryan is drawn to her and ends up taking on a very active role in the scene, one that has Brie drawn to him.
The next day at the office, Ryan can't stop thinking about Brie and the likewise is true for Brie even though she doesn't know who the mystery man is. She schedules another scene in the boardroom hoping to find him again. Even though Ryan knows he shouldn't, the moment he sees Brie's name on the attendee list for the scene he goes to her.
I loved that Brie had no idea who Ryan was and that it tortured Ryan to know Brie from Brighton whom he saw everyday. Just like in the first book of this series, while the scenes in the boardroom were incredibly HOT, so much of the story took place outside of those rooms. I loved watching Brie and Ryan get to know each other outside of their work relationship. I thought Brie's reaction to discovering who her mystery man actually was, was well written and genuine.
Can't wait for the next installment!
Brie has always done what's expected of her until she finally decides to let loose in the Boardroom where she meets an unknown man who haunts her senses and brings her alive in way she's never been alive before. This series is for readers who like a touch of erotic spice with their romance.
Erotic fantasies come alive in the night in boardrooms across the city. Brie gives herself one night as a birthday present only to find one night is not enough. What happens when she finds her dream in the light of day is a partner in the very law firm where she works. Can they re-create the fantasy outside the Boardroom?
As Ryan and Brie are thrown together at work, this icy lawyer finds himself melting. He's come to admire her as the efficient paralegal assistant Brighton during the day and Brie during the night. Both of them has significant baggage, can they work through their baggage and find a happily ever after together?
I really enjoyed the relationship building between the characters with the edgy scenes adding a nice touch of spice. I'm looking forward to more nights in the Boardroom with the author.
Book two in The Boardroom Series and what a hot sensual Series it’s turning out to be. Ryan and Brighton work together and he recognises her straight away when she turns up in Boardroom, she may be blindfolded and she may want to be known as Brie but he knows this is a workmate who he could end up falling for, how will he explain to her he was one of the men in the Boardroom with her that night.....this story is not just a passionate hot romance it’s also about two people getting to know each other, it’s about dealing with everyday issues like working together whilst building a relationship. Looking forward to more in The Boardroom Series as well as more from Lynda Aicher.

I hate to do it since I love Ms. Aicher's books so much. But I've tried four different times and I'm just bored, bored, bored.
Wowza!!! To say that this is hot would be an understatement. This is BLAZING!!!!
Ryan is the youngest partner of a very well known law firm in the city. He's worked very hard in order to get where he is, and works just as hard to remain there. So blowing off steam in the Boardroom is one of the only places he gets to relax. But while he's getting ready to relax in the Boardroom, he realizes the woman in the room is non other than one of his employees. Well, isn't that interesting?
Brie is an executive assistant at the same law firm mentioned above. She's worked really hard at proving herself worthy, even though she got her foot in the door because of who her parents are. But she's also working hard at being someone she's not. Always on guard to say the right thing, act the perfect way, etc. So when her good friend provides an opportunity for her to let go and just be, she goes for it. And now that she's tasted the freedom, she'll never be the same.
The scenes in the Boardroom are so steamy! It's no wonder Brie wanted to keep going back. But it's also the relationship that builds between Ryan and Brie that drew me in. I wish I could have followed his side a little more, but I think we get enough for it to make sense. Both of these characters have their own personal issues to overcome, and it's great the they are able to use each other to achieve it.
Here's what I think I love about this series so far. Each book has new characters, new experiences and their own "issues" to overcome. Although we get to revisit a character from the previous book, the characters don't actually intertwine. Which is refreshing. And I can't wait for the next one!!!

Overall, a decent addition to The Boardroom series. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. For continuity, I'd probably read more of the series since I like the premise of it.
Blind Trust in another hot contemporary story by Ms. Aicher. Not and unique plot. Overall not a bad story.
Love this series so much, I'm already anticipating the next book. This is Ryan and Brighton's (aka Brie)story. Brighton wants to experience a night in the boardroom for her Happy Birthday and so her friend Lori arranges this evening for her; having Jacob bring her. Understandably nervous and blindfolded, once she relaxes enough and seems to gravitate to one man there Ryan, who is also house council and friend of Trevor. When Ryan recognizes Brighton from the law firm they both work at, it sets off a whole different path for these two. Brie meets with Lori and wants to return to the Boardroom one more time and Ryan is there. It's then that what Brie's instinct was telling her was true. That Ryan was the man in the Boardroom. An attorney at the firm she works for and now a man whom she's working closely on a case on. These two are flammable, totally. I wasn't sure which way they would end up and you have to read the book to find out and get the full, panty melting story. I liked Brighton and Ryan both. I didn't care much for Lori her friend and also a member of the Boardroom. There were times when I wanted to smack her when Brie had some very valid questions and Lori's response was not only immature but played Brie's dilemma off like she was insignificant. She really rubbed me the wrong way. But the real story lies between Ryan and Brie and it's another stellar read from the Boardroom. Yes you need this one!
**arc from NetGalley and Publisher for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
I couldn't finish this book, no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't connect with the story or the characters and I had a hard time with the writing style.
This was my first book from Lynda Aicher and the first in the series. Oh BOY!! WHAT A BOOK. Absolutely awesome story. I love the fact that Brie and Ryan got to know each other as the story progressed and it was not just about the sex all the way through. Even though the sex scenes were sizzling hot. I can't wait for the next one coming up and I'll will check up the first book in the series.
I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review that is all my own.
This was a good read i definitely enjoyed reading it! It's about an exclusive club called the boardroom, this is Brighton\Brie and Ryan book Brie is a paralegal her background is very proper and elite she's tired of playing by the rules and wants to free herself so to speak, so she goes to this invitation only club! There she's blindfolded and four men do to her what she's always dreamed of!! It was really really hot!! For me it's a little to many men lol but I did enjoy it and definitely recommend this book and series!! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin for sharing this book with me!
I don't really know what I was expecting. Things are different in the board room for Ryan Burns. Brighton has issues to work through. Everyone has their own demons. Some more than most. Of course, Brighton finds a way to find a niche between her and Ryan. Ryan is a hard man with many skeletons from a past he tries very hard to forget. It was good and did a great job of allowing you in each characters head spaces. You were not kept out of the loop on this read. The characters are their own and stayed well between the characters of each. No complaints. Good fast READ!!
I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review at my request! Thanks NET Galley!!
Sensual story of discovery and love.
Lynda Aicher delivers another wonderfully creative story in Blind Trust the third offering in The Boardroom series.
Brie and Ryan are a fascinating couple. While they have known each other for years it's only when the meet anonymously at The Boardroom that sexual tension begins to grow. Each of them comes with different baggage and it was fascinating to see them working through issues that have held them back emotionally. There were moments that tore at my heart and others that made me smile. This book was a great addition to a wonderful series, I can't wait to meet the next couple.
