The premise of this story sounded interesting but the execution was lacking. I really struggled to read this book. The book was way too long. The writing was very clunky. There were way too many alliterations. The main character was not likeable. I enjoy good vampire novels but not this one.
Can a small-town singer from Romania and a PR Svengali perform the impossible – transform the legacy of Dracula from evil to good?
The description of this book had me really interested in reading it, but almost right from the beginning, I was really disappointed. It bounced between different characters POVs with no real rhyme nor reason and most of the narration seemed to be directed to those that needed extensive explaining. When Nicoleta’s past was explained, it was as if it was in the POV of an ignorant young child and the tone didn’t change much whenever it was in her POV in the present. Huge disappointment for me..
