Thanks so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for giving me access to this book. Romance is a favorite genre of the library I work at. I like to get a sampling of what is out there in the romance genre. I felt that this was enjoyable quick romance novel. I will recommend for those readers that enjoy romance.

This book takes place in the near future and involves several alien species interacting with the human h Lauren. Unlike most books of this genre Lauren has a very strong personality and a smart mouth she unleashes on everyone. I really enjoyed her banter with numerous characters.. The plot is unique , has well developed characters and a good story line. I would recommend the book to others.

A great story with an intriguing storyline. A Mate to Cherish is a winning combination of paranormal and romance. Laylah Roberts has outdone herself.

I received a copy of A mate to cherish by Laylah Roberts via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a startup for a new paranormal romance series “The Hunters”. I feel like this is a standard paranormal romance, which isn’t a bad thing. It has all the classic elements which make for a steamy and enjoyable read.
My only issue is for me is the pacing. I know it is a romance novel but I need to feel included in the story of all the characters and this story took a bit of time for things to all come together. I really just wanted to be part of the buildup before more than halfway through the book. Other than that I found this an easy and enjoyable read. The senses were steamy, the characters were good, and the story is also something that can be developed throughout the series. Overall an ok read, enjoyable but not something I am demanding to read more of.

The first book in the new Hunters series is a story that takes readers on one heck of a steamy and thrilling ride.

Lauren, Talin and Malik are solid, engaging characters that easily draw readers into their stories and hold them captive throughout. The romance is a bit rocky due to circumstances and some emotional difficulties which must be overcome and has the readers commiserating with them but the chemistry sizzles from each and every page and the sex scenes are steamy and panty melting worthy.

Suspense and anticipation build throughout the story as this fast paced story starts off with an intensity that grabs readers attention and doesn’t let go through one heart stopping moment after another while this threesome tries to come to terms with their situation and their mating circumstance. Will this threesome be able to achieve their ‘happily ever after or will fate be denied? This question keeps readers guessing until the very end and with some wonderful godlike surprises thrown in things stay interesting and readers don’t have any chance of encountering a dull moment.

The author did a great job of painting vivid imagery to make me feel as if I was a part of the story and I was enthralled from start to finish so I am looking forward to reading the next Hunters book.

This was my first book by Ms Roberts, and it will not be my last. I thought she had a creative style and a new plot-line that was refreshing and enjoyable. It flowed well and kept me intrigued. I liked that things played out and weren't all thrown at the reader at one time. I also liked that the mating wasn't instant love and that it required work from the triad.
I was intrigued by the premise and I enjoyed the characters. I liked that Lauren was a strong person and she amused me as well. I could see myself having similar reactions to parts of the story . I really liked that the hunters were in fact beings that had been stripped of powers by the gods. I liked that they put in effort to their own relationship and that their relationships were different than a human pairing.

Overall It was a hit for me.

I recently started reading this author and this paranormal romance is different then what I expected. It had everything for the back story without feeling rushed at all! Good scenes and good characters I can't wait to find out where this leads them to. I want them to have their powers and their elika's. They have been through enough!!! There were some typos and some errors, but it was an ARC!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley at my request for an honest review. Thank you Net Galley!!

3.5 stars This one was a quick read and I enjoyed the tone of the book. However, it's very plot driven which makes it feel a bit incomplete.
This sci-fi romance is about Lauren who finds herself hunted and in danger. She gets sold to a group of aliens who are the last of their warrior and god-like race, and finds herself very drawn to two of these hunks, Malik and Tarin. This particular alien group has packs and within each pack every warrior has one other warrior they share a special bond with. Malik and Tarin are bonded, and they are very willing to share Lauren ;)
My only issue was the character and relationship development. I would've appreciated if Malik and Tarin's relationship was hashed out since the dynamic is very unique. And I think it would've strengthened the interactions between the two warriors and Lauren.
Very action packed and a fun, steamy read.

Malik knows the female in their dreams is their mate. He wants her, craves her, but he can’t bond with her without Tarin, and convincing Tarin she’s theirs will be an almost impossible task. Tarin is always in control. Always in command. But when the hunt leads them to Lauren, he finds that very control tested. She intrigues and annoys him. But most importantly, she makes him feel. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book in one day.Laylah is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
