I think a lot of readers will enjoy the emotionality and the simplicity of language in this book of poetry and prose. Personally, a lot of it fell flat for me because it read like things one sees on tumblr and instagram and lacked experimentation with language.

This was a great poetry book. I always absolutely enjoy their work and I can't wait to read more in the near future. I highly recommend it.

This is a very much romantic anthology. It speaks for itself. You can feel the love with every verse. But it’s part love and part loss. And there’s no separate parts like Part 1: Love and Part 2: Loss. They just blend together and it’s both love and loss. And it’s very interesting because normally you would definitely have those two conflicting themes separate, but Taplin just puts them together and somehow it works.

As well as being both love and loss, the anthology also shows the bad side of love alongside the good side. How love can be amazing and beautiful but also deadly and dangerous.

Yes, I did rate it 3 stars. Sometimes I felt it went too mushy with the love. Not that there’s anything wrong with mushy love (well, unless you’re not interested in that mushy love 🙋🏻‍♀️). Taplin is one of the Instagram poets, I believe. Actually 3/4 (sort of with the one) of the poets in this review are Instagram poets – it does show a bit. The simplicity of it and some poems sort of felt like he was pandering to Instagram followers – writing poems about love that they want to read.

This is an emotional collection centered on love, relationships, loss, and letting go. I feel there are simply too many poetry books like this published in the last few years and they have become too cliche and unoriginal.

As always, Beau Taplin does amazingly well. I am a huge fan of hers and this one certainly did not disappoint. Ms. Taplin has a way with words, which I do not, and I can never come close to explaining just how much her words affect me. They're beautiful and gorgeous and make me feel things. <3

The cover screamed my name.
I couldn't reside it, to be honest.
And when I read the poems, I
found them pleasurable.

I consider myself to be somewhat of a moderate critic of poetry, but generally, I like what I like and if I don't, it can't be helped. WORLDS OF YOU wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.

Well. Honestly I have to say this was bit of a disappointment. I’ve been wanting to read Bloom by Beau Taplin, unfortunately my library does not carry it but when I saw Worlds of You on NetGalley I decided I would start with this and read Bloom at a later date. I’m starting to think that I went into this with too high of expectations, although I’m really not a harsh critic when it comes to poetry.

"You want to know what it was? The moment I knew you were it? It was when I showed you the darkest parts of me, and instead of running away, you rolled out a blanket, lay on your back, and pointed out the stars."

Worlds of You started off strong, I was writing down pages of poems I was enjoying but my recording of page numbers quickly came to an end. I was no longer connecting with the poems, and as I flipped through the pages of this on my iPad I couldn’t help but wonder if there was suppose to be a theme to this? If I remember correct this was spilt into two sections: Heart and Spirit. Heart felt like it was never ending, seriously. This section was too long while Spirit was only roughly maybe 35-40 pages. I’m curious to know what the thought process was in terms of the composition of World of You because it felt like this lacking flow. Overall, World of You started off strong but quickly became a dull read for me. Hopefully I have better luck with Bloom.

*Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review*

I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this book!! It was amazing.

Since I read my first poetry book "The Princess Saves Herself in this One", which became one of my favorite books of all time, I keep comparing this first book to others just because I related so much to what was written there. Different from the rest, this book wasn't about love or relationships. So, when I found this book I was kind of reluctant to read it, but I gave it an opportunity and I am glad I did. Yes, most of the poems talk about love, but it was still different, this book told me to not to look for a magical love or fairytales but sincere love.

I wrote some poems in my bullet journal because they hit me right in the feels, I found them so magical that I wanted to keep them in my memories(I don't know if it's well written, sorry).
My faves were Priorities(this poem was exactly what I needed), True Connection(I relate to this one so much since I am very independent person who thinks in her own goals and dreams and closes her heart to love but still thinks that there has to be a strong connection with someone to really fall in love), Act Cool(I am that person, I broke up with a friend because I don't accept lies), Real Loss(OH THIS POEM, this was me too, I liked a guy so much and then we went separate ways), Quality Time(So accurate), The Awful Truth and You Deserve Better(Hope anyone tells me that I deserve better, please). But, in general, I just loved this book.

I have been a fan of Beau’s for years and every time he releases something new I get so excited. Worlds of You could possibly be one of my favourite collections of Beau’s. His words manage to come together so eloquently and hit you hard. As long as he keeps writing things I’ll keep reading them.

Worlds of You contains poetry and prose from various times in Beau Tauplin's life. Though most of the writings are lovely, I wish they were organized in some linear format. I would have liked to have seen a progression through the years, or a set of themes with related writings. I wanted to know more about Beau through his words, but I didnt seem to make that connection. So, yes it's beautiful but it didnt feel personal.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Beau Taplin is one of my favorite authors of poetry and prose. The previous book "Bloom" caught my attention but this one sold it. I will always be a fan of the realness and honesty of the poetry that makes you think.

Beau Taplin post are all around Tumblr and most of Instagram. And getting to read this book was such a great opportunity. Thank you Netgalley for the ecopy. But this in no way affect the my Review.
To start with this was a quick read and so so relatable. Some of the pose just made me say wow. I wanted to just keep on reading this book. But it came to an end. I loved all the parts in this book. Some were very touching and some made me happy. I can't wait to read the next work by the author. If you are looking for a quick read or are just a light summer read just get worlds of you and you won't regret it.

This was beautiful. Just as Taplin's other works. Very profound in its appeal.
Definitely check this out and others. They are worth it.

In this collection, Beau Taplin primarily focuses on the wide variety of emotions when it comes to love; from falling in love, to falling out of love, to being broken hearted. To keep balance within his poetry, Taplin divides the collection into two sections: Heart & Spirit. The 'Spirit' section emphasizes life in general and focusing on yourself.

Rather than reading this as a collection of poetry, I found myself reading this as if I were receiving advice from an older sibling. As someone who's never really had a relationship, I found that most of these poems gave me the advice I never got.

For example:
The Leap and The Fall
"I trusted him. I gave him everything.
And still, he left."

"But that's the risk you take.
It's not his fault, child.
That's life.
That's love.

"They call it falling in love
Because sometimes you're caught,
And sometimes you're not."
-Beau Taplin

Throughout the "heart" section, I found myself learning to love, falling in or out of love, and the feeling the pain of heart break. I felt every emotion from start to finish that gives you an idea of how Taplin must've felt during that memory or at the time it was written.

On the other hand, Taplin also reminds the reader the importance of self worth and value and advises that despite everything, the only thing that should matter is you. Once again, Taplin has exceeded my expectations and continues to impress me with his poetry. I definitely recommend this to fans of his poetry or anyone going through the various stages of a relationship.

This was a fantastic read, well written. Letters of love, sadness, and life. Quick read, quite a few memorable pages.

I have come to love poetry due to the new rise of many poets sharing their work on social media, I have become to appreciate the art and the arrow it is to the heart.

So many poems in here were my absolute favorites, some failed with their impact but most delivered it so brilliantly, it feels like it is not knocking on your heart's doorway with their gentle thoughts but tearing it apart by the weight of their truth.

A heart's ache is universal. I love how the smallest seemingly insignificant thoughts are so universal. I like that our pain is not our alone - that there is another soul, far away in this wide world or perhaps right next to you, feeling this exact pain. And that they can confirm we can go on. That we are never truly alone.

I like the book a lot. It's such a brief read but still the book is definitely worth your time. Anyway the author sent me a copy in exchange for an honest review. If you're wondering, yeah this one is a collection of poets kinda book, but I was having fun reading it. So if you're looking forward to reading a poet then I could assure you that this one would suit you a lot.

I'm giving this one four stars, which is a decent rating for me when it comes to poetry. I didn't love some of the entries, but others I really enjoyed and emotionally connected with!
