This was one of those books that sucked me in and had me reading with all my emotions. The tension between the two main characters definitely made it interesting. A great read for anyone wanting to read relatably flawed characters.
Fast paced and quick, heartfelt second chance romance.
Well written and passionate story of Reed and Teagan. The circumstances following their break up was pretty brutal so seeing each other again and attempting to reconnect was an uphill battle.
For me there are second chances and then there are second chances. The circumstances surrounding Teagan and Reed was a hard sell, but their chemistry and banter made for an intriguing story.
Can they make it?
You’ll have to read and find out.
This read can be enjoyed as a standalone.
3.5 stars!
I absolutely loved this book. It's become one of my 're-reads'! Ms. Robinson did a fantastic job of making you feel like a part of the story.
I really really super enjoyed the first book in this series. This one felt a little more predictable. I found myself flipping through the pages, skimming--everything just felt a little flat. I am reading Simone's book soon in the hopes that I spark with the last book in this series.
4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed and loved this second chance love story. Teagan and Reed have a sorted history and when they are thrown back together while filming his new movie they are forced to see the truths that they may have been hiding from. I loved how independent and self-aware both characters are in their parts and faults of their twisted journey of heartbreak, misunderstandings, and love.

Brilliant read with all the things I enjoy in a book with a brilliant storyline and characters and I will look forward to reading more from you from this author thank you for my arc
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley to review.
I absolutley loved this book. I am a huge fan of second chance romances. This is the story of Reed and Teagan. Reed is one of Hollywoods hottest actors. Hr has made some mistakes that have had him in the tabloids. He has now accepted a role in a romantic dance film that is guaranteed to make him a box office hit and rewrite his image. However he is in for a shock when Tegan who he left at the altar turns out to be his choreograoher. Tegan thpugh is deteeminded to do her job and tezxh him how to dance for this movie. There is bo way shes falling for Reed again and she is holding all of the cards this time. This book os filled with second chances, passion, and is emotional. I loved every second and recommend this book to anyone who loves second chance romances.
It was so nice to see how Teagan was able to not only see her dream come true in a way but she was able to help the movie in other ways. Reed tries so hard to make things up to Teagan in a small way, though he never knew how deep his transgressions with her reached. Life was not easy for Teagan and she had to fight to get where she was but fight she did and she made it far. This was a great read right before I had surgery. Just sorry I didn't get around to writing the review until know.
Bare is a standalone in Robinson's Nude series; no need to read the first in order to read this one.
This book didn't wow me like the first one did. If you saw my face right now, I have my lips sort of scrunched up on one side and I am thinking to myself "I was hoping for more." It missed the mark for me but wasn't terrible.
Bare is a second chance romance for Teagan and Reed. They were college sweethearts who were both aiming for fame, but in different directions. And instead of talking things out, Reed leaves her high and dry.
Many years later, they are brought back together for a film production and it's like old flames rekindling - that fire never died out. But the trust is gone. Teagan holds a lot of anger and resentment towards Reed but Reed never stopped loving her.
While these two try to work their shit out, once again, the lack of communication because a barrier for them. This is where the whole plot line was a miss for me. These two have great chemistry (those scenes were spot on) but when it comes to communicating between each other, they totally suck. And that frustrates me beyond anything, especially with older, mature characters.
Anyway, you still get the fun stuff of a Hollywood novel - the acting, agents, paparazzi, etc to make the story entertaining all the way around. There were parts that Sarah did a great job with and that's what kept me continuing on with the story. I have a feeling this was more a personal miss for me and that more people will enjoy this book more than I did.
Even though this one wasn't my fave of the series so far, that won't stop me from reading the next one.
This book can be read as a standalone and not necessary to read book one, but you'll be missing out on one hell of a story if you don't~ I absolutely LOVED, Nudes, and I just had to read this one!
There are some twists and turns in this one, once their cards were on the table things became a little better between them. Reed is still hot on Teagen's tail. Honestly, it was hard for me to see how she really felt about that. On the surface yes, below that not so much, he wasn't that much easier. You just have to keep reading.
The book is written flawlessly! The characters have soo much depth, the plot line was great and the book flowed really well.
I highly recommend it! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
I love second chance romance, the history, the chemistry and the connection of two people who were together once and split up, can be so compelling.
Reed and Teagan were together, things ended (he left her at the altar) and then they are forced to work together when she is the choreographer working with him on the dance portions of his new movie.
I liked them together, I liked their chemistry. It definitely felt alive and present. However, I thought they just sort of fell into a renewed relationship, like it just happened and as it was ok with both of them, they went with it.
I also struggled with believing that anyone would think he should feel guilty for the circumstances of the accident that changed her life. I can't get too specific without spoilers, but that didn't ring true for me.
I think, as I have really connected with other stories from this author, that I wanted more from this one than I got. It wasn't bad, but I did feel like the characters went from scene to scene and sort of fell into the events as they happened. While this isn't necessarily bad, with the way they split, I think I was expecting a little more drama than I got in this story.
I did enjoy this, and I do recommend the title.
IMO you can’t go wrong with a Sarah Robinson book! Teagan and Reed find themselves on the same movie set. He as the lead actor and she as the choreographer. Except this isn’t the first time they’ve met. They were involved years prior. After reading the sentence that explains why they’re not together anymore, I immediately had to message the author and ask her just how she was going to make me love Reed. Well, she worked her magic and I quickly found myself rooting for these two.
What a delightful second chance Love story Sarah Robinson has delivered in this book called “Bare”. It will have all your hearts melting just like mine with it heartfelt and humorous storyline. You can’t go wrong with this one I can tell you. It’s quite impressive how fantastic this story really is and how the story just flows through the pages and chapters. It literally jumps off the pages and right into your mind where you can picture everything that is happening in the book. Totally deserves more than 5 star in my opinion and I can’t wait for the next book by this wonderful and talented author. I would absolutely recommend this book to all book lovers out there.
Bare is a book to read if you like your stories with just the right amount of angst, steaminess, and heart. Although this is the second book in the series, it does stand on it's own, so reading the first isn't necessary to understand this book. But it IS necessary if you are a fan of Sarah Robinson ;)
Now, on to Teagan and Reed. Theirs is a second (or third?) chance love story that is riddled with all the reasons that they should stay apart. The push and pull between these two has the right amount of drama to suck you in, but not too much to drag you down. There were times that both Reed and Teagan frustrated me to no end, but that's what great writes do, they make you feel their characters. Teagan was tough without being standoffish and Reed needed to grow up, but never came off as immature. These were two people that needed to grow alone in order to see if they could work together. You know what they say, timing is everything.
Cannot wait until Sheer to see where Sarah takes us next
I have to admit that lack of/mis-communication drives me potty but then again, without it, we wouldn't have had a story!!
Bare is the 2nd book in the Exposed series by Sarah Robinson and while I didn't enjoy it just as much as Nudes it was still a really good read.
I liked how Teagan and Reed reconnected and that they still felt as strongly about each other as they used to. Their chemistry was smokin' hot and it was great seeing them reconnect and look forward instead of remaining in the past - though at times I found Teagan's stalling a little wearing (even when I got why she initially felt as she did, Reed - to my mind - more than settled her concerns as the story progressed, I just wished she would have dithered less)
Personally, I did feel that things were a little predictable when it came to how certain issues would pan out to an extent - not within their relationship - nevertheless, Sarah managed to keep me interested and wanting to see if this couple could work things out to the extent that I finished the book pretty quickly (though that may also have been because the story ended at the 80% mark on my kindle, which I wasn't expecting).
Overall, as I've said, it was a really good read. I loved the epilogue, we met up with Aria & Ben again and it was good to see how they were doing and we were introduced to the younger Reynolds sister, at which point the springboard for Simone's story in Sheer was introduced - I'm really looking forward to more in the series.
I'm giving Bare 3.9* stars.
Reed & Teagan have a complicated history. VERY complicated. And now they are expected to work on a film project together. Closely! I really enjoyed these two characters and their love story. This is a second chance romance, which is definitely a favorite of mine.
The story is well written and really takes you through Reed and Teagan's relationship. I'm not a big fan of a particular trope that was thrown in (No spoiler), but it was still good!
Portrayed as a now he finally gets it, remorseful playboy, famous actor hero, who fate throws back in the arms of the woman he professes he never stopped loving, Reed Scott has some explaining to do. You see, for someone supposedly still in love with Teagan, the heroine, he’s certainly didn’t live the last decade like a broken hearted man. No, not at all. He’s lived the life of Riley with an excess of wine, beautiful women, and fame to boot, pretty much from the get go after leaving her jilted at the altar without an explanation. The paparazzi pictures prove it. It will be up to you if you accept his knuckleheaded reasoning. To me, he took away her freedom of choice and voice, along with breaking her heart.
For the most part, despite suffering physical and emotional hardship as a result, it doesn’t take Teagan overly long to forgive and pick right back up where they left off. Notice I left out the word “forget”, because that’s the one thing she couldn’t do. Not that I blame her. Again, it’s up to you to judge for yourself how much you can shrug off and accept.
The bare facts remain their history may be too much of a bitter pill for some avid romantic at hearts to swallow. It tainted my perspective of their relationship. The brief dance she made him do to get back in her good graces didn’t seem nearly enough. Then when some unwelcome drama comes their way and jeopardizes their future, lack of action once more speaks louder than words. At 60%, they didn’t fight for love again, folks.
There is even more that unfolds in this back and forth, relationship angst storyline. Just know, even though Reed realizes he loves Teagan to the moon and back, I still couldn’t quite get over his poor judgement. It’s hard to root for a couple when even the leading lady isn’t solely convinced the hero will stick around when things get tough.
Romance Safety Gang: <spoiler> I’m thinking this book may not set well with many of you. Reed has had fun for almost a decade and the proof is in the tabloids, while Teagan struggled to move on after him disappearing without a word on her wedding day. Neither were celibate during the long separation but no specific details were given, except talk of a photo showing Reed doing body shots off a stripper. He admits he’s enjoyed all the perks of being a celebrity. At 60%, something comes up and neither seems to fight for their love. Then it is back and forth again. Up to the bitter end, Teague is still having doubts about him being for real this time. Though after the issue just mentioned is handled he seems determined from then on to wait her out and prove he won’t leave again. </spoiler>
Title: Bare, Series: Exposed (Book 2), Author: Sarah Robinson, Pages: 276, stand-alone but part of a series, very graphic smexy scenes that at times just felt thrown in to add steam, doormat at times heroine.
Book 1 - Nudes
Book 2 - Bare
Book 3 - Sheer

I’m a sucker for second chance romances as many of you might know. So I was totally on board to read Bare. Surprisingly, this is the first book that I’ve read in this series. Or maybe not so surprising since I’m a pro at reading books out of order.
I’ve been a fan of Sarah Robinson’s books since her MMA fighters series and couldn’t wait to dive into Bare. I did enjoy this one, but it wasn’t my favorite among her books.
I was definitely interested in learning what drove Reed and Teagan apart since they were college sweethearts and engaged to be married. And then you learn that Teagan was left at the altar with really no explanation of why he left. With both having great things ahead of them, their plans didn’t quite work out that way.
Now that we’re in present time, it’s obvious that Reed has achieved all of his dreams and has become one of the top actors in the industry. He almost has everything except for the girl that he left so many years ago. With his life on public display in the worst possible way, he needs to clean up his image. And his newest role has him teaming up with the very one that he left. With all the tension still between Reed and Teagan, she tries her best to keep it professional while he sees it as his chance to make things right.
At this point in time, they’re different people who have gone through different experiences. Things can never be the same between the two and there’s a couple of secrets that are still being kept from each other.
The entire book I was just eager to learn the truth about why Reed left Teagan and once I did, I was a bit disappointed because it all could have been avoided. I want to say that it was just what they needed to grow, but Reed in present time is still a bit of an idiot when it comes to his public image. And that kind of kept me from truly being into their story. It had a lot of up and down moments.
I love that Teagan was more than capable to holding her own, she grew the most out of their mishap. And her experiences during their time apart was rough, and you couldn’t help but be proud of where she was today. Teagan definitely was my favorite!
I’m definitely going to give Nudes a try. Although not my favorite Sarah Robinson book, I’m still forever a fan.
Bare is the first book I've read by Sarah Robinson, but definitely won't be the last. I absolutely adored her voice and her characters in Bare.
Reed Scott and Teagan Reynolds had some pretty amazing chemistry from the moment they saw each other again. I honestly have to give Teagan so much credit for not punching Reed in the face the first time she saw him again years after he literally left her at the alter on the day of their wedding. Teagan was so very professional as she started working with Reed on the set to make sure his part in the movie was a success. Yes they were both still insanely attracted to one another, and just them dancing together was really like foreplay. I loved that Reed realized as soon as he saw Teagan again how huge a mistake he had made all those years ago. Yes he did it so she didn't have to give up a major roll in theater, but he did so without talking to Teagan first.
While Reed's road to stardom started right after they wedding debacle, Teagan was in a wreck that took her years to recover from and truly could have ending her career in dance forever. Again, Teagan really surprised me by not blaming Reed for the accident even though I honestly felt like he was partly to blame. She busted her ass to first relearn how to walk and then dance. Teagan's spirit was one of my favorite things about her. I totally could understand why Reed still loved her all these years later.
I had mentioned how strong Reed and Teagan's chemistry was and when they finally made love again, I swear my kindle screen fogged up a few times. I honestly found myself falling in love with them as a couple right along with them falling in love again. I knew something would come up to be a stumbling block to their happiness and wasn't surprised when Reed messed up once again. He might be a great actor and strong person overall, but he really seemed to be a bit too self absorbed at times. Honestly that was really my only problem with the main characters in the story. I wanted Reed to have grown up and started acting like an adult at all times and yet he fell back into old habits rather than talking about what had happened.
Bare was a really fast read for me. I was so connected to the characters; I pretty much read any moment I had free time. I love when a group of characters pull me in and make me want more. As Bare is the second book in the Exposed series, I already plan to go back and read the first book before the final book is released. I honestly think romance readers who enjoy sexy emotional reads should totally give Bare a try.
Rating: 4 Stars (B)
I loved Nudes and I couldn't wait to dig into Bare. I enjoyed Teagan and Reed's second chance romance. Sarah Robinson writes strong leading ladies and I love her men. I loved that Reed had to depend on Teagan to teach him how to dance. He destroyed her and now he had to work with her. I really enjoy this series and the powerful writing. Hollywood is always an interesting place to read about and the different stories that probably come close to Hollywood truths. This was a good read.
