Reed Scott broke Tegan Reynolds heart when he left her at the altar, but now eight years later, she finds she has to work with him by teaching him the choreography for the new dance movie he's starring in. Determined to resist Reed, Tegan does everything she can to keep things professional. However, Reed doesn't make things easy for her. Will she give him a second chance or will she walk away before she gets hurt again?
Having absolutely loved the first book of this series, I couldn't wait to read to read this book and I've got to say that Ms. Robinson pens another remarkable read for this series in this book where second chances are possible if the heroine can forgive the hero; the main characters were fantastic due to their back stories, their past history and everything they go through that made me think these two didn't stand a chance with the tough obstacles they had to overcome, but had me liking that everything worked out for the best; and the dialogue was a wonderful combination of intense moments due to what happened to the heroine in the past and how Reece is partly to blame for what happened. Then again, who is to say that what happened to the heroine wouldn't have happened anyway?
Both the main characters were well-developed and had me loving their growing relationship, as they find their way back to each other. Not that it's easy for the heroine to forgive and forget and be able to move forward. Will Reed find a way to prove she's the one for him and always has been? Moreover, the heroine was resilient, courageous and I liked how far she's come. No way was she going to let what happened to her get the better of her. I also liked that she gave the hero another chance, even though he hurt her badly in the past that led her to making a life-changing decision. However, I liked that she took chances throughout this story to make her dreams finally come true, especially since the hero has such faith in her. Will she get everything she wants?
While the hero, he's confident, talented and I liked how determined he was to win the heroine over, even though that isn't easy because of what he did to her that ended up turning Tegan's life upside down. However, in saying that, I liked that he didn't give up on his second chance with Tegan, as he's changed and realized that they can achieve their dreams together instead of believing that either of them would be holding the other back from achieving everything they've ever wanted to achieve. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is that he would do anything to help the heroine. The way he pushes her to follow her dreams; dreams she long ago never thought she'd never be able to achieve after what happened to her had me liking the hero more than I did when he was first introduced.
Overall, Ms. Robinson has delivered a fantastic read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance hot and full of passion; and the ending had me loving what brings these two back together and had me enjoying how happy the hero was in regards to something the heroine tells him. I would recommend Bare by Sarah Robinson, if you enjoy second chance romances, Hollywood romances, or books by authors AL Jackson, Adriana Locke, Samantha Towle and Vi Keeland.
This was my first Sarah Robinson book and now I definitely want to go back and read book 1. Bare can be read as a standalone so I don't feel like I was missing anything. I really enjoyed the story. I had a love/hate relationship with Teagan and Reed throughout the whole book which just made me enjoy it that much more. So much push and pull between them but it made for a entertaining, angsty story.
Bare follows Hollywood heartthrob Reed Scott who ran out on his previous fiance Teagan Reynods. They are both in for a surprise when she is the choreographer for his upcoming dance film where they will be spending a lot of time together. Can she forgive him for walking out on him? Does she even want to? What will this all mean for their working relationship? These questions and more are answered in this book. .
Bare was my second book by Sarah Robinson. I really loved her book Nudes which had a lot of feminist ideas bottled up in a love story. Bare is being marketed as a follow up to Nudes, but it is really a stand-alone that has a mild overlap of non-essential characters. I was really hoping for a continuation of the previous characters, and even though I did enjoy the characters and plot of this one, I was expecting a part 2 and not a standalone. This book was a much more traditional chick-lit story that still has very good writing. I read almost the entire book in one sitting without getting bored. I will continue to read more from Sarah Robinson to see what her version of LA is like. .
Bare by Sarah Robinson is a Hollywood second chance romance with all the feels. After heartbreak and loss, a couple is faced with each other again, can this finally be their chance?
Reed Scott is a Hollywood heartthrob who enjoys everything that comes with that lifestyle. But as a bad boy, he wants to change his image. And accepting the role in a romantic comedy may be just what his career and image need. But then he finds out she will be there. His biggest mistake.
Teagan Reynolds was left heartbroken when Reed Scott walked away from her. She hates him, even as her heart loves him. But she will not be heartbroken again! She is determined to do her job and nothing else. But can she trust herself with her heart again?
Now that Teagan is in his grasp again, Reed does not want to let her go. But she is not ready to forgive and forget. How can she trust him with her heart again? They were once sweethearts and ready for a future together, but then everything changed.
Throughout the entire story we have push-and-pull between Reed and Teagan. There is history and feelings there, but there is so much hurt as well. Add in Hollywood as the background and this is an emotional and angst-fill second chance story.
Happy reading!
BARE is the second instalment in Sarah Robinson’s contemporary adult NUDES erotic, romance series focusing on three sisters-Aria, Teagan and Simone. This is dancer and choreographer Teagan Reynolds, and actor Reed Scott’s story line. BARE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Teagan and Reed) BARE is a second chance story line between college sweethearts- dancer and choreographer Teagan Reynolds, and actor Reed Scott. Eight years earlier, on the day of their wedding, Reed Scott left a humiliated Teagan at the altar. Fast forward to present day wherein Teagan, a former dancer whose life was all but destroyed the day Reed walked out of her life, is currently the hired choreographer for Reed’s latest movie role. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship, friendship and romance between Teagan and Reed, and the potential fall-out as their dual careers begin to pull them apart.
The relationship between Teagan and Reed is one of second chances. Teagan’s love for Reed is masked by her hatred and the humiliation on the wedding day that never was, a day that all but ruined her career and destroyed her life. Reed had no idea the damaged caused on that fateful day but eight years later our hero is desperate to renew his relationship in the hopes of a happily ever after. Reed’s manwh*re reputation precedes his reintroduction to our story line heroine, a reputation Reed and his manager are working to overcome. The $ex scenes are erotic, intimate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
Both of Teagan’s sisters play secondary and supporting roles as well as Aria’s husband Ben Lawson (Nudes #1) and their daughter Tillie, Teagan, Aria and Simone’s parents; Reed’s agent Jason Allen; and Reed’s co-star Elena Stravinsky who pushes a little too hard at trying to seduce our story line hero.
BARE is a story of second chances; of betrayal and forgiveness; of romance, love and happily ever after. The premise is entertaining and edgy; the romance is a back and forth, push and pull between two people whose love for one another has never died but struggles in the face of past sins; the characters are spirited and energetic. BARE is a passionate tale love, betrayal and loss.

I adored the first story, Nudes, in this series and was looking forward to this story. It did not disappoint!
"She hated that he could still have this effect on her. That she still cared. It'd been eight years, and yet seeing him made it feel like yesterday."
I am a sucker for second chance romances and Teagan & Reed's was of epic proportions. I honestly couldn't believe that she would give him the time of day at first. But that chemistry - yowza!
"I made a mistake once. Hell, a million times. But falling in love with you? That's the only thing I've ever done right."
Reed was not only a hot superstar, but he was a smooth talker too, at least when it came to Teagan. I loved watching him grow throughout this story.
This story was a great blend of love, loss, and second chances. It was steamy, sexy, and fun! I adored seeing Aria & Ben and certainly hope Simone gets her turn next! (4 stars)
I was looking forward to diving into this read! I'm a sucker for a good second chance love story! I was quickly drawn into Tegan's and Reed's world. I enjoyed the way in which the reader and Reed get the pieces of Tegan's story. Their journey was heartbreaking, sweet and a joy to "watch" unfold. Tegan gave her heart away to Reed once and she wasn't willing to let him shred it a second time. Reed was bound and determined to prove to her that he was a changed man. Time allowed them to grow up and mature, but the love between them wasn't one thing that went away for them. They had to learn who they were now, as grown adults, and learn to see if things could happen for them. This was a sweet read!
Reed Scott is the hottest actor in LA…
Being a Hollywood heartthrob has its perks, and I’ve damn sure enjoyed every one of them, both on and off the silver screen. The tabloids loved every second of exploiting my privacy, chronicling my mistakes in ink for the whole world to see. Accepting the lead role in a romantic dance film was guaranteed to make me a box office hit and help me rewrite my image, until the choreographer hired to train me turned out to be the only woman I’d ever loved and lost.
As beautiful and enticing as ever, Teagan walks in and reminds me of the worst mistake I’ve ever made. She should hate me, and now she has the power to destroy everything I am.
Teagan Reynolds is picking up the pieces…
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…never going to happen. I fell in love with Reed Scott once and it nearly killed me—literally. The last thing I want to do now is teach him how to dance, but I need this job and there’s no way I’m letting him take yet another thing away from me.
Reed is in my world now, and this time we’re dancing by my rules.
Review:
A very passionate and emotional romance!
This is a story about loved lost and found again. I loved the characters, both Teagan and Reed are hurting and by chance are thrown together again after years apart. Teagan really does have lots of reasons for not trusting or wanting anything to do with Reed, he left her at the later for goodness sakes. But, love blooms again and knocks them both for a loop. Their biggest issue is overcoming both of their trust issues and putting aside past hurts and preconceived ideas to get to the place they both want to be, with each other. This like the first book has the back drop of the entertainment industry , which lends to many interesting scenarios.
This a wonderfully written emotional romance with a few surprises. Sorry this is a short review, but I was trying to be spoiler free. I really loved the story, plot and Teagan and Reed and inhaled the book in one afternoon, I actually did not want it to end, but felt happy and satisfied when it did.
4.5Stars
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*
If you enjoy second-chance romances I think you will enjoy this story. Teagan and Reed were together for a few years before an abrupt breakup eight years prior to this story. They had great chemistry and it was tough for Teagan not to fall for him again even after what he had previously done to her.
This story didn't have the same impact on me that the first book NUDES did, but it was still a great read that I really enjoyed. I loved seeing Reed going after what he had always wanted but what I enjoyed even more was watching Teagan make Reed work for what he wanted, she was not going to give in so easily. Their second chance is not an easy one, they still have a lot to work through and trust is a big issue. The chemistry was really spot on which had me rooting for them even thought there were a couple of times I thought they may not get their HEA.
This book can be read as a standalone, as all of the books in the series can be, but I would suggest you start with the first book so that you can see the growth of the first couple as they make several appearances in this book.

Sarah Robinson continues her Exposed series with Bare. These tales do not need to be read in order for the reader to enjoy them. What links is the environment of the arts; film, dance and media.
With this entry, the first thing that came to my mind was a fusion of O'Henry's "The Gift of the Magi" crossed with film vehicle of "Step Up". The couple, Teagan and Reed, have a history of being each other's everything in college. They unabashedly loved each other...wanted only the best for each other... supported each dream they had...
He wanted her to be all she could be, a dancer, a Broadway musical star...
She loved him and was willing to be there for him, no matter what...
But then...when they were supposed to be saying their vows to each other in front of everyone...Reed was a no show...
The results were life changing for the both of them...and now many years later, they are working together on the film which is critical for the both of them. He needs it to clean up his reputation and she needs it as a foothold to advance her career as a choreographer.
Teagan is a woman who had to overcome extreme obstacles to be where she is standing today. She had the heartbreak with Reed and her other traumatic issues to live with...each impacting the other. Teagan defied the odds and was now standing on set ready to choreograph her first major film. This is her chance to move up in the ranks... to make her name in a cutthroat industry.
Reed has become a well known, successful actor. He has charm and talent that comes across on film. He also has been living the cliche life of a young stud...bad media exposure... pics and twits that need cleaning up big time...
Only problem is Reed's heart has never let go of Teagan... He knows he made a terrible mistake... he thinks he will never fill that hole in his heart... she will own it forever. His acting out and casual hook ups were not meant to mean anything... and he made sure each participant was aware of no future...
Now he is standing in front of his possible second chance... and how does he demonstrate how real his love is to the woman he destroyed so many years ago...
This tale has all the layers needed to take the reader on a journey of first loves gone askew... both of these people were meant to be together...and only when they both believe each has each other's back will they see... They can have all the dreams they dreamt.
Sarah Robinson delivers a detailed story with a man determined, mistaken and then able to see his way clear to the love of his life. Our woman is strong, able to withstand and rise up. To hold onto her need for self...We also get the chemistry and need of a couple destined to be together.

I absolutely love all things Hollywood Romances and Sarah Robinson's Exposed series is turning out to be one of my favorites. This second book I was really looking forward to it and was not disappointed. It's such a sweet read. It has it's emotional moments and definitely gives you the feels. Absolutely a must read!!
Reed is Hollywood’s sexy leading man who is trying to leave his playboy, bad boy reputation behind him and he believes that starring in a romantic comedy is exactly what he needs. His plan is the verge of crashing and burning when he has to work with the woman whose heart he broke when he left her at the altar eight years earlier.
When Reed left Tegan at the altar he broke more than her heart. She has finally gotten to the place that she wants to be, and she is not about to let him close as this time around she might never recover.
Tegan is the only woman Reed has ever loved and he has regretted that decision every day since. He wants a second chance, but will he be able to convince Tegan?
This is a second chance with your first love filled with drama, emotion and chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Reed became one of Hollywood’s notorious bad boys and his name constantly appeared in the tabloids. Pictures could be misinterpreted but one thing remains he never forgot the one person who ultimately paid the price for his rise to stardom. He thought he was doing the right thing but it ultimately crushed both of them. Living a life full of regrets he may finally get the second chance he has been waiting for.
I loved Nudes. It was such an unexpectedly lovely book. But of course, that meant that this book had some big book-shaped shoes to fill.
Fortunately, this is another well written, character driven story from Ms Robinson.
Do you know what I enjoyed the most about this? It's that the thing that comes between them is them. Not external forces. Not cheating. Not forced misunderstandings which have been shoe-horned in as a narrative device.
Nope. Them. Their history.
This was an easy book to read. The emotional connection between these two was palpable - it was impossible not to root for them to overcome their issues.
Really, truly, enjoyable.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Bare is a second (third, and a way too many) chance romance. Reed is a total @sshat. Is he gorgeous? Yeah. Is he sweet? Yeah. But does he deserve a second chance to destroy her heart? No. Does he get one? Duh,it's a romance novel. 😉
Bare is definitely in touch with the vulnerable side. I was near tears a couple times. The fragile and raw relationship will definitely make readers fall further in love with these two.
I am really enjoying the series and was excited to see both Aria and Ben pop in to say hello. We also got a change to get to know Simone more. I can't wait for her book!
Not having read the first in the series, I somehow didn’t realize it was a strictly Hollywood story. I found both Teagan and Reed pretty self centered, and though he had left her at the altar, she seemed to quickly forgive him.
It just didn’t pull me in.
4.25 Stars for Sarah Robinson’s Bare. The follow up to Nudes is the story of Teagen Reynolds, younger sister to Aria, and Reed Scott. This was a second chance romance set with a Hollywood back drop. Reed left Teag at the altar 8yrs ago, and life has been challenging since they last saw each other. Now thrown together on a movie set, their chemistry is still there but figuring out if they can trust taking a new chance is not easy. I really liked the story, the characters, Teag and Reed’s families and even the obstacles. The only thing missing for me was the intensity of emotion that I felt when reading Nudes, which blew me away. Regardless of that, Bare is a solid and lovely story of taking chances and not giving up on you dreams or emotions.
Reed Scott is on an upward trajectory in Hollywood, the tabloids are following him around. He agrees to clean up his image and stay at of the spotlights. Reed can't believe the choreographer on his next film is his college sweetheart that he left at the altar. Teagan wants nothing to do with Reed, even when he is begging for a second or third chance.
Robinson writes an emotional story of reconnecting with your soulmate and having to make them fall in love with you all over again. Sometimes the emotional heartbreak is worth the pain. A great continuation of the Nudes series, I can't wait to read the third one in the series.
The past has a way of showing up when we least expect it. For Teagan and Reed, it brings love's worst mistakes and most haunting regrets with it. Bare is the tale of young love gone wrong and fate's determination to heal it. Robinson pens a haunting routine of heartache and immaturity. Emotions flow. From temptation to frustration, the twists are endless, but the end result is divine.
Reed Scott broke Teagan's heart 8 years ago when he left her at the alter to chase is acting career. That is also the day that Teagan's life drastically changed ... and not just because of that. Reed has never loved anyone like he loved Teagan ... and he never will. But when he gets a second chance with her ... will he need a third chance or a fourth chance? How much heartbreak can Teagan take before she says "that's it ... I'm done".
I was so mad at Teagan ... let him go ... he doesn't deserve you! She just seemed (to me) to be a doormat and let him treat her like crap. Even though I liked Reed's character, I thought that if he was so in love with her, why did he never look into seeing what she was doing in her life. I wished that he would have had more of a revelation when he took time off ... I felt that it wasn't much of a change - it needed more. But all in all, a great addition to the series.
