The Book in Room 316 is a good fit for readers seeking an uplifting narrative about healing, resilience, and the interconnectedness of people facing diverse challenges in life.
Loved this book -- ReShonda engages us and makes us never want to leave her characters when the book is finished. Its the first book I've read of hers - but I look forward to reading more. I felt like she was writing about me and I love when an author can do that. It's. rare gift.
An excellent read that depicted Reshonda’s ability to just about anything. Not a fan of anthologies, so I was a bit worried initially only to be pleasantly surprised at her ability to weave all of the stories together in the end. Well written and an asset to the collection.
A must read. I quite enjoyed the book, especially the different life events from different perspectives. Reminds me of a show on TBS called, "The Guest Book".
I enjoyed the way ReShonda Tate Billingsley intertwined four stories into one. The Book in Room 316 tells the story of strength, faith and love. I would love to see a continuation to Trey’s story.
A very intriguing novel about how a small bit of hope fan change of the course of 4 people's lives. Different circumstances lead each of them to The Markham Hotel where this one book can and will change their lives forever.
I thought this book was fine-not great, but not bad either. So 3/5 ⭐️ s. There were timely issues that made you think. There are a few different plots/storylines that all intertwine. While I enjoyed this, it left me wanting more from some of the characters. For example, I would have liked to see more of the day-to-day handling of Savannah’s issues with her husband. I also feel like Anna’s story and troubles were not fully developed as I ended the book not certain as to how she ended up where she did. This was a quick read though. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
The Book in Room 316 gives you four different scenarios of four completely diffrent people lives. This book was like being a fly on the wall and seeing all different sort of things. Every book gives a diffrent reaction to each person that reads it. I love that about this book and The Book in Room 316. You will get what you need every time you read it.
Savannah’s experience with the Book in 316 help her deal with betrayal, grief and forgiveness.
Ollie’s experience was grief, memories and revelation.
Anna’s experience deals with keeping the faith and believing everything happens for a reason
Trey’s was just letting go and let God use others to help him and being in the right place at the right time.
I loved how this book was written, it dealt with so many different situations that all lead back to one thing. The Book in Room 316. I was very emotional reading this book. I recommend it to all.
Reshonda Tate Billingsley is easily becoming a favorite author of mine. With her books, you’re going to get drama and a lesson. Grab your snacks and tissues because you’re gonna be occupied by this book for a while!
The Book in Room 316 follows the lives of four people experiencing tough times and having to make life altering decisions. In these four stories, these individuals end up in room 316 at the hotel (at different times!) and have their lives changed. That’s all I’m gonna tell ya!
The Book in Room 316 is well-written and a bit emotional, especially if you’ve ever felt the despair these characters have faced. Maybe that’s why I did shed a tear or two… or maybe I’m just emotional lately. Anywho, this book will be released 10 July. If you love relatable books with life lessons, check out this book or any book by Reshonda Tate Billingsley.
Read my 4-star review of The Book in Room 316 by ReShonda Tate Billingsley
First time Reading a book from this author. Great book that focused on the issues of today’s society, and how can bring you though them. Base on four people and how their life inscripted each other life.
Short stories, really, about how a Bible helped a variety of people struggling with anger, loss, jealousy, and other emotions. It's a quick read that will speak to those who like faith based books. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
I was really looking forward to this book and enjoyed the blurb. However, I wish I'd known ahead of time that the "book" was the Bible. It had a good message of having faith in God, but I wish I'd known ahead of time. It should be classified as Christian. Overall, it was okay.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
This is a must read! I enjoyed each intertwined storyline. Some parts I reread to ensure I understood what had happened. I don't often do that, but if the details matter and I'm so engrossed, I will. You really can't say much with this book. I'm afraid to give anything away. It's about real life situations and how helping others and having faith, during those difficult times, can lead to change for the better. Do we help others or turn away? Does everything really happen for a reason? The Book in Room 316 will answer those questions. I absolutely recommend.
The Book in Room 316 is a great read. Each story either hits home or deals with real time events going on in the world today. There are lessons and blessings between the pages of this well written read.
I really enjoyed this book. I love how Reshonda made several characters who were dealing with real-life issues. The common help was their Faith. This book requires us to hold on a little longer and request us to dig deep in our faith and trust that God has not forgotten us. Of course, this can be hard but his word stands true. There is a character for each of us within this book.
The Book in Room 316 was unique. It focused on the lives of four different people, who lives somehow are intertwined. This book was unique in the sense that it was one book, with four different stories within it. It was an ok read. I have read every book Ms. Billingsley have written. This one did not hold my attention as much as some of her other books. I felt as though we only got a sneak preview of each persons lives. Truthfully, each story can be an entire book by themselves. I would love to know what happened to each person. Each story felt like a 30-minute episode of a television show.
This book was ok. It shows how God's grace and mercy can help us in any situation. The stories were short and well written, Thanks to NetGalley the author and the publsiher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest reveiw. This was a quck read and is good for a weekend read.
