Aces hockey series with another hot hockey player who enjoys the ladies. His celebrity caught hockey fan, Jordyn, a rising pop singing star on Twitter when they both flirted. Their attraction was tampted by him living in Chicago and her living in Los Angeles. Circumstances have her spending more time in Chicago and with a certain hot hockey player.

As I continue to follow this series, I find more and more reasons to simply enjoy Ms Jamieson's writing. Once again I've found characters who complex with defined personalities, even at times flawed. As the stories evolve, so do the characters. The ebb and flow of the author's stories and characters are what make her writing unique. With the perfect mixture of humor, tension, and emotions there is plenty to keep drawing you into the story from beginning to end. I'm already looking forward to the next installment of the series.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Wow! What a great story, I loved both Jordyn and Chase, Chases issues are something I imagine affects a lot of athletes and Jordyn was so good with him. I loved their sense of humor it provided a few laugh out loud moments in a very enjoyable story.

Diving straight in. I was really happy to get this ARC. I am a big fan of Kelly Jamieson's hockey books.
3.5 - 3.75 stars.
Another great addition to her Aces Hockey series. Sweet romance. Not my most favorite by her but I really love all her characters and storylines.
I am always receptive to any new book by this author. She writes such sweet and touching romances with just the right amount of spice and heat.
I really enjoyed the Twitter flirtation that developed between Jordyn and Chase- lots of funny and witty bantering between these two . They also had some pretty great dates. A little drama here but mostly a sweet and sexy sports romance .🏆🏒🏒🏒🏒

I didn't like, Playing Hurt, as much as the other Aces Hockey, books. I did enjoy it, Chase just had to many insecurities. They made him seem less like a pro athlete.

I love hockey, love so I enjoy reading about it. I have been following the Ace players from the very beginning, and it is not smooth sailing for them. This story is Chase's and the difficulty he had trying to play even though he was hurt, hence the name. His love interest is Jordyn a singer and she had a little hard time also when she lost her voice for a bit. Their relationship was cute but they had some obstacles to overcome, one was long distance but they made it work. I felt sorry for Chase, his parents were not very nice people it seemed all they cared about was hockey not him..Anyhoo it was a sweet story along with strife.

4 stars!
I like Kelly Jamieson;s hockey books! I have read all of them! To be honest, I love all her books. This one was no different! Chase is a pro hockey player who has a crush on pop starJordyn. They don't know each other but exchange tweets. Chase makes a bet with Jordyn, and if he wins, she will go on a date with him. Jordyn happily agrees and that is the start of a cute romantic story.
I loved this book. It was super cute and fun. Pop star and hockey player. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

While this may not have been my absolute favorite story from Kelly Jamieson, this was a really cute book. I was unsure how I waa feeling about it at first, but I stuck it out and ended up really liking it.

The social media flirtation between an Aces hockey player and a famous pop star becomes more when they agree to test their online attraction on a real date. Their chemistry was on fire, their banter was sharp, and the push and pull that evolves kept me engaged. Their drastically different career paths allow for a good bit of drama and their individual struggles and injuries allow for some roadblocks in their relationship that I found believable and refreshing. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Jordyn and Chase and I was pleasantly satisfied with their romance.

Like I said before, this isn't my favorite from this author or even the most memorable book I've read from her, but it's certainly a fun, sexy, entertaining romance with just the right amount of angst. Kelly Jamieson is always good for a much needed dose of sweet and sexy sports romance and this one soothed my craving. Playing Hurt is charming and sensual, peppered with humor and drama, and overall it's a really cute addition to this series.
