You couldn't get anymore opposite than Cara and Braxton. A relationship by chance but distance by misunderstanding and pursuit. Throw in some messed up self centered parents and life long friends and you have not only a baby on the way but obstacles of confusion.
Let me break it down like this. Cara was on a mission to live. Honoring her brother but most importantly herself. Doubt was there knocking all the time but she pushed through it. Never settling but creating and firming a backbone.
Braxton, sexy business man who made it out of the slumps with the help of a wonderful mentor. Small circle, drug addict mother who died and a friend who was a sister with a grudge.
Sounds fun right. Wait there was a scorned ONS, gay best friend, and mutual besties. Yes the plot couldn't get any better. A wonderful modge podge family unit.

Cara had her first ever one night stand at her best friend's wedding with the gorgeous tatted up best man, Braxton. Cara realizes the next morning that she has no idea what to do so she sneaks out. Flash forward a few weeks later to Cara finding Braxton to let him know that they have a reminder of that night and are going to be parents.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and thought the story was well written. I would love to read more about these characters! It was a fun read that I finished in a day!

A story of two people who become interconnected with a baby and are both unsure of the others motives and desires. Romance at its purest most unexpected instances

This is my first Stacy Lynn read and well, I am a fan. I really enjoyed this book so much. You get the title right from the start. No waiting around on the story to play out, we get it from page 1. I appreciate that, because too often the story gets dragged out with the leading lady trying to prove she can do all things alone. Nope, not this one, Cara needs help even if she does not want to admit it and Braxton, is having none of it.
Cara and Braxton work so well together. The chemistry is off the charts. Their one night stand, was believable and the out come, I bought it as well.
The story had a beautiful flow to it. It was never hard to follow or keep up with. It tugs at your heart and you are rooting for these two people to make it. Two people who are determined to make up for the mistake that happened, but never treating it like it was a mistake. They are in it for their baby, no matter the cost.
The supporting cast are fun as well, and you even hate a few of them, just the way I like it.
I am a fan of Ms. Lynn, now and I am looking forward to reading her past and future works.

I'm pretty sure I'm in love with Braxton. I loved that he looked like a tattoo bad boy but was big softie at heart. All he really wanted was a family of his own. With so many books where the Hero is afraid to commit, it's wonderful to find the ones who want the whole package.
Braxton is the owner of several tattoo parlors. He had an addict for a mom and dad that never stuck around. He had a role model in his life that helped him grow into a better man than his parents or his background.
Cara is the daughter of rich parents who don't see her and when they do, they expect perfection from her. It takes the death of Cara's brother to make her realize she will never be enough for them and to start living her life her way.
Cara's a good heroine but I thought she was crazy for not jumping in feet first with Braxton. She was more of a level head and wanted to take things slow. As reasonable as that is, I still wish she let Braxton in more.
This is one of my more favorite accidental pregnancy stories and that is all due to Braxton and how he handles the situation and Cara. I enjoyed seeing Jenna and Dan again and I would love to get Graham's story. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Final Score - 5 Stars!
Knocked Up is superbly written with a wide gambit of emotions pouring off each and every page. The characters and overall tone of the book are wondrous and world building. How can two people who appear to be complete opposites end up together? Can you change one's perception of what it takes to build a loving relationship? The answer is - YES. And this book does that.
Braxton and Cara are far from perfect and that's fine. No one said trying to make a relationship wouldn't be without difficulties and this book does not sugar coat that. Instead, it dives into just what it takes to make one really work. The realism of that fact was not lost on me. It was truly a partnership I began to see and eventfully a strong connection between them was formed.
They clashed, but their desire to work at fixing their issues endeared them to me. Of course that was coupled with their red HAWT chemistry, which they never lacked, but a true relationship cannot be built on that foundation alone. Braxton & Cara's story is both charming and romantic, yet realistic.
I've been hooked on this author for a while and when I found out she was coming out with a new series, I just had to sign up - plot unknown. This book was excellent, well though out and memorable. I series am DYING until the next release of this series.

My first foray into a Stacey Lynn novel. This is her second book in the crazy love series. From my researched this title seems like a standalone and separate from the previous couple in book one. Cara has taken a pregnancy test and realize she's pregnant from her one night stand. She slept with the best man at her friend Jenna's wedding. She gets Braxton number from Jenna and builds up her bravery to tell him she's pregnant. The description of Braxton and his many tattoos sounds like eye candy. Both Cara and Braxton slow progress in getting to know each other heats up when they realize their one night stand was more. This is not just a fluff novel the novel also touches on estrange relationship Cara has with her parents and Braxton dealing with coming from a family of drug addicts. Review on goodreads and amazon

Knocked Up is actually a book right up my alley. It follows Cara and Braxton, who, after a one night stand, are expecting a baby. The only problem is that the two are not in contact and had no plans to be in a relationship. I actually liked reading from both of their perspectives and seeing how each of them felt about what was going on. I admire Cara for seeking Braxton out and trying to give her baby a chance at knowing their father. I thought Cara, Braxton, and a few other characters were very interesting and dynamic. I won’t go into detail because spoilers. The book itself kept me super engaged. I kept wanting to read it. I really wanted to see how the story was going to play out. It was overall a pretty good book. However, I did have a few problems with it. First of all, there were a few minor hints of sexism across the book. Again, won’t go into detail, just know that it’s there. Also, Braxton was pretty possessive of Cara and the baby, which led to a horrific outburst on his part that was only partially resolved in my opinion. I understand that that was a part of the plot, but I had hoped that Braxton could behave better than that and that Cara wouldn’t have forgiven him so quickly. However, I did overall like the story, just be warned of a few things. I loved reading about two people who were so dedicated to their child and trying to make things work.

Do men like Braxton Henley exist in real life? I loved everything about this book! Well, except for Cara's parents, they were despicable, but still, they made for some good drama. I love when opposites attract, but I love when they take their two worlds and blend them together to make something better. Cara and Beckett had to navigate some rough waters, but I really enjoyed their journey. They both found something they didn't know they needed. And while this book was incredibly steamy, it was also heartwarming, and gave me all the feels! But most of it, it just made me want to get pregnant again! ha!

Overall a good story. When Cara realizes she is pregnant, she goes to tell the father, Braxton, that she is expecting. A result of a one night stand, she doesn't expect much, but thinks he should know. Not sure if there are other books in a series, as this is the only one I read, but felt a few questions left unanswered. Why are Braxton and Dan best friends? Why is Stella the way she is and why is she following and taking pics? Why are Cara's parents the way they are? Minor overall, but would have helped a bit. Would highly recommend, as did enjoy it, just a few minor issues for me kept it from a 5.

I really enjoyed reading this one. I have enjoyed this authors other books in the past. She has a really easy to read writing style and does a great job creating her characters.
The one thing you never want to happen is to get knocked up after a one night stand. But if it was to happen at least it has a happy ending.
First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes baby in a baby carriage. Just not necessarily in that order. . . .
Braxton: I should probably be dead or in jail right now. Instead, thanks to some tough love, I worked my ass off and now I own a string of tattoo parlors throughout the Pacific Northwest. And yet the one thing I’ve always wanted—a family—still seems out of reach. When my best friend gets married, I’m just hoping to blow off some steam with the super-hot maid of honor. But after Cara Thompson tracks me down to tell me she’s pregnant, she’s more surprised than I am when I tell her I’m all in.
Cara: For the first time in my life, I’m living for myself—not for my parents and their ridiculous expectations. I gave up on my MBA, dropped out of the Ivy League, and moved to Portland to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. And what’s the first thing I do? Get knocked up. For a tatted-up sex god, Braxton Henley seems way too eager to “be there for me.” Is this guy serious? Maybe. He sure is patient. Because he won’t back down until I admit what I know in my heart: that our one night stand might’ve led me to the one.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

4 stars.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Oh, blimey. I have no idea why I didn't print a review for this back in March when I finished reading it. Needless to say I can't remember all the specific quirks and reasons why it was a solid 4 stars read for me.
However I must say, I really do love this author's relaxed writing style and I remember reading this in one sitting and finding it totally satisfying with characters that I also really enjoyed.
Stacey Lynn writes such fun reads and I was really eager to read this after her totally wonderful 1st book in this series "Fake Wife".

I give this read 3.5 stars.
This was a cute, sexy read with a little emotional edge to it as well. But for me it had some plot holes. Things that were mentioned that were never brought up again. And the cover didn't do the character justice in this book. Not even close to the way Braxton is described in the book. I'm a fan of Stacey Lynn's books. Even though this wasn't a favorite for me I will continue to read he books.

I love a good unplanned pregnancy story. I don't know if that's due to my own life experience, or if I just enjoy the premise of two people being thrown together by a pregnancy that they don't expect. It's safe to say this would only be true in the world of Romance where I am guaranteed a HEA.
Knocked Up was mostly an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the premise of the characters spending a night together after their best friend's wedding. I found the heroines reaction of sneaking away the morning after to be realistic and adored that it was the hero whose feelings were hurt when she left. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't happy that he was hurting but it was nice to have the hero acknowledge his feelings out of the gate. While on the surface Braxton and Cara come from different worlds, they have way more in common than the people around them may realize. Both of them have experienced less than stellar parenting, although for very different reasons, and both have experienced heartbreaking loss. The chemistry between Braxton and Cara is palpable, I only wish we had gotten to read about the first night they spent together as it was happening rather than it being in the past by the time we meet them.
There were some elements of the story that I found clunky. When Braxton and Cara go to see her midwife together for the first time, the doctor wants to hear the heartbeat. The story references the use of an internal ultrasound want for this even which struck me as very odd. As a mother of five that didn't sound right, regardless of how early in my pregnancy I was they were always able to check the heartbeat externally. The internal wand would have made sense if the midwife was doing an ultrasound, but that wasn't the case here. Also. Braxton's reaction to the procedure made me roll my eyes. He refers to the wand as a dildo cam and makes a comment about not knowing whether to be terrified or turned on. It just felt immature which was contradictory to everything else we see from him.
Also, Lucy is a rescue pup featured in this story. For most of the book she is a Bullmastiff, but towards the end she is a pit bull. Keeping in mind this was an arc, the author may correct this in the final copy.
All in all, I enjoyed Knocked up and would recommend it to readers that enjoy an unplanned pregnancy.

Just like with Fake Wife, Stacey Lynn captured me from the very beginning of Knocked Up. Braxton and Cara were both extremely likable and relatable characters and the connection and chemistry between them was palpable and so entrancing. Both of them had backgrounds that made them deeply sympathetic characters; and somehow she was able to craft their stories so that even though their histories were vastly different, they both worked to make two people that were perfect for each other. Knocked Up is sexy, emotional, and real - just what I love in my romance! Stacey Lynn has definitely become one of my auto-buy authors and I can't wait to read more from her! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Undying, irrevocable, infatuated, obsessive LOVE for this book!
I want more. I WANT MORE. I. NEED. MORE! Literally, the second I started reading Knocked Up, I knew, just absolutely KNEW, I was going to enjoy it. And by the end, I LOVED it. Fell head-over-heels in love with everything this love story had to offer. Accidental pregnancy, controlling parents, miscommunication, sexy tatted-up hunk of a heartthrob….yeah, you get the idea.
And I’m just putting this out there so that EVERYONE knows….Braxton is MINE!! Now that that’s taken care of and we’re all on the same page, let’s continue with my review, shall we?
Knocked Up was beautifully written with a plethora of emotions pouring from its pages. The character dynamic played out wonderfully, showcasing how two people who appear to be complete opposites, can undoubtedly change anyone perception of what a passionate and loving relationship truly is. Braxton and Cara clashed at the worst of times, but their willingness and desire to work through their issues together as a couple really solidified the strong connection that was established at the beginning of the story. The chemistry was red-hot, and although they may look like an unexpected couple on the outside, it’s the love that radiates from their hearts that assuredly makes this story charming and romantic.
The author hooked me with Fake Wife, but she completely wrecked me with Knocked Up. This fantastically penned and memorable romance is sure to leave you hot under the collar, and incredibly anxious for the next book by the author.
5 Knock Out Stars!

Knocked Up is the first book I've read by Stacey Lynn. The premise for this book is a good one, and it's what initially drew me in. Sadly, it fell short of my expectations.
I had issues with multiple aspects of Knocked Up. I'll list a few.
Cara herself was a pretty lackluster heroine; Braxton was better but only slightly. Furthermore, any true connection between the two was hard to find believable.
Secondly, I realize each pregnancy is different, but I felt every aspect of Cara's pregnancy was over-dramatized and it annoyed me.
And speaking of drama, there was way too much of it. Not for me.
Knocked Up just didn't work for me, but I'm sure plenty of other people will enjoy it.

Knocked Up, by Stacey Lynn is a contemporary romance, and the second book in the Crazy Love series.
Cara is finally living on her own in Portland. Despite her parents' disapproval, she switched careers to focus on her art. Cara served as the maid-of-honor at her best friend's wedding, and she decided to flirt with the best man, which lead to her first one night stand.
At his best friend's wedding, Braxton had an amazing night with Cara, yet the next morning was disappointing. So, he continued to focus on his tattoo shops and playboy ways, until Cara showed up weeks later and announced her pregnancy! In addition to their baby connection, Cara and Braxton are still attracted to each other. However, they are dealing with various issues in their lives, particularly with friends and family members, which hinder their relationship. It's a sweet story with an opposites attract love story and a surprise pregnancy.
Since it's the second book in the Crazy Love series, it's recommended to start with the first book, yet it easily reads as a stand-alone story.
Knocked Up is enjoyable and geared towards those who enjoy reading modern romances.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This is a love story that starts backward. A 4 star story that was fun to read but already told many times over.
Cara and Braxton have a one night stand, she gets pregnant. They move in together, then they start dating. They fall in love, get married and have a baby. That’s plenty of an explanation.
It was a quick read that was full of angst and drama. There were from very different backgrounds so opposites attract. Appearances are never what they seem.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommended this story.

2.5 stars
I have read and enjoyed a number of Stacey Lynn books. This Time Around from her Love in the Heartland series, is one of my favorite books this year.
Knocked Up, unfortunately just didn't hit the right notes for me. I did like Cara and liked Braxton's care and love for her, but I just couldn't quite connect with their characters.
Even though this one wasn't my favorite, I am looking forward to reading more of Stacey's books!
