Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn is a great read by this author. I love all her books and this one doesn’t disappoint. Cara and Braxton started out as a one night stand at their best friends wedding but turn out to be so much more. This is a beautifully written love story that will grip your heart from the very beginning. I loved this book and can’t recommend it enough!

Although this is a similar plotline to a few books I have read, this was well written with characters who are likable enough to keep me reading and see how it all turns out for them. Cara and Braxton have great chemistry and Braxton is just so sweet. Everything may not always be lollipops and unicorns but they work through it. Braxton really steps up for Cara when she needs him and is everything you want in a book hero, sexy and sweet and dependable.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book.

Knocked Up is my first novel by Stacey Lynn, but it won’t be my last. I found this book to be thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining.

This was a story of opposites attract. Two of the most unlikely characters to be attracted to each other and find their HEA.

If you are a fan of the “surprise” pregnancy story, then this is one you will want to read. I will state that I feel this story takes on the insta-love aspect a little. But I found that it worked with this story and the characters in it. This was a pretty easy read and not overloaded with a lot of excess drama. Just enough to keep you attention and having you keep turning the pages.

Knocked Up is the second book in Stacey Lynn’s Crazy Love Series. It is a complete standalone. I haven’t read Fake Wife (which is book 1) and I don’t feel like I missed anything or that I was lost following the story. I actually don’t even believe we see any of the characters from book 1 in this book. What I did find though is now that I have read book 2, I am going to go back and read Fake Wife, because I really enjoyed the writing style of this author. This story is written in Dual POV.

Knocked up is the story about Braxton and Cara. Braxton and Cara met at their Best Friends wedding and found they were attracted to each other and spent the night together. Cara not being one to have one night stands, freaks out and leaves without saying goodbye. Much to Braxton’s surprise. Fast forward some time and Cara ends up on Braxton’s doorstep to break the news of her upcoming arrival….their baby. From here we get their journey to finding a new relationship. This news is welcomed by some but not others. Can Braxton and Cara find their HEA?? Will they be able to adapt to their new way of life?? Read this entertaining story to find out.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves an opposites attract romance. And if the surprise pregnancy is a storyline you enjoy this one is worth the read.

Had the opportunity to read an ARC. Thank you so much. This book was a great read. It was a cute romance story love every aspect of it.
Cara needs meets the love of her life (which she doesn't know as of yet) has a one night stand with him (bestman) on the night of her bestfriends wedding a month later she finds out she's pregnant. What I love is that Cara makes decisions that make her happy and does not follow her parents high demands. Since that one night hes been thinking about her. Braxton finds out hes going to be a dad, top inker in town and by description he sounds sexy AF. I'm all awed on how he treats Cara and he cares for her.

I picked up Knocked Up looking for maybe an hour or so of reading before bed. A few hours later and I was done, I couldn't put down Braxton and Cara's story. It was a wild ride and had quite a few emotional ups and downs. I appreciated their struggles with what to do, how to handle things and the other aspects of their lives. Cara's parents were absolutely awful and I couldn't have been happier with Cara's decisions regarding them. I really liked Stella and I totally get where she was coming from and I know her heart was in the right place. I'm so glad that her and Braxton worked it out and that her and Cara could start to form a friendship.

5 Star review loved this book

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review ! Second book approved by this author - Love Stacey Lynn’s work !! Knocked Up is a fav that I’ve read so far this year ..

Loved these characters - Braxton all muscled tattooed hunk with a heart of gold & Cara gorgeous good girl who has pretty much lived her life so far to please her parents & always does what is expected of her ...

They meet at their best friends wedding & their mutual attraction finds them spending the weekend together - their chemistry is off the charts ... Cara finds herself unexpectedly pregnant ( ie Knocked Up)

Brandon hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Cara but is pretty sure he is out of her league & he would never have any kind of chance with her .... when he finds out about the baby though he is all in ...

This book had it all for me ...
Awesome characters & storyline ..,
Great supportive secondary characters .,,
Off the charts chemistry ..,
Uncertainty that can come with discovering love ...
Funny dialog ....

Highly recommend this book & author great read !!!

Knocked up is the 2nd book in the Crazy Love series, but we think they can be read as stand-alones as well as a series.
Usually we don't get hung up too much on the cover matching the story, but with this book it did bother us that Braxton, the main character in the story, wasn't even close to portrayed correctly by the cover. Don't get us wrong, the cover was sexy, but Braxton is a tatt'ed up darker skin guy, and this just didn't show the readers the true character.
As far as the story goes, we felt like it was a lot of over the top drama and we didn't really ever connect with the characters.

Thank you @netgalley and #loveswept for my #advancereadcopy of #KnockedUp by @staceylynn.author

Cara’s memorable weekend at her best friend’s wedding has come back to bite her in the butt. After taking multiple pregnancy tests, she can no longer deny it. She’s pregnant from her first ever one night stand with her best friend’s husband’s best friend, Braxton. Say that five times fast lol. Despite the way she handled the morning after she has not been able to stop thinking about Braxton. Luckily, for her, he’s having the same problem. Once they get past the awkwardness of the situation they both realize they have feelings for each other.
I enjoyed the story but I wish it were a bit more developed. A few things were mentioned that I wish were expanded on and one thing in particular confused me a bit. There were a few inconsistencies that need to be cleared up. The bulk of the story, excluding the epilogue, takes place over the course of about two months. The male cover model also confused me. Braxton is described as being heavily tattooed, but the cover model has nary a tattoo in sight. It was a good story but I feel like a few things could have made it a better. –Brittany’s review

#KnockedUp will be published June 5,2018. Check it out if you’re interested!

There is a lot to love about this story. Cara and Braxton are likeable characters and their respective side kicks are quite enjoyable. The dialogue between all of the characters is fun but Stella is a hoot ( love the impression she makes when we first meet her and the bag of popcorn scene is LOL moment. I enjoyed the fact that the relationship seemed to be for the most drama free ( and when Cara thinks about how a relationship can be this easy and relaxed) sometimes drama in a storyline feels contrived. Which is why I was a little disappointed with the curve we took with her parents. It felt odd, as if it did not fit......but overall a great read.

Cara meets Braxton at her best friend Jenna's wedding. A few dances and drinks and they end up spending the weekend together. Cara has never had a one night stand. She slips away without saying anything because she's unsure what to say or do.
Fast forward 2 months and with the worst case of morning sickness ever and Jenna rubbing her back every single pregnancy test she took was positive. But then she knew that. The morning sickness is overwhelming. She doesn't want to tell Jenna who the father is, but she has to. Jenna's husband Dan and Brax are best friends and she needs to contact him, feeling he's got a right to know she's pregnant. Anything beyond that, Cara isn't sure. All she knows is she's sick day and night. Brax owns a tattoo parlor and she goes to pay a visit. Greeted by a not so friendly Stella, who really doesn't want this girl who looks like she's from the better part of town talking to Brax, seeing Cara isn't leaving, she caves in. Brax comes out and Cara is met with a blank look. Like he doesn't recognize her. "We need to talk." So they head to his office and Cara once again sick and Brax holding the garbage can for her, she tells him the news. Brax's reaction isn't bad, nor is it good. It's neutral, noncommittal and more like a ok maybe. When Cara faints in his office he takes her to the hospital, she's dehydrated, the weight loss and other issues puts her at risk. They give her meds for her nausea and discharge her. Brax takes her home. She lives in a tiny one room studio on the top floor which she has to climb the stairs and a bad neighborhood to boot. The place is such a mess Brax thinks she's been robbed. He's confused. Confused by this little girl who comes from money who's living like this. Who he thinks ran out on him because he wasn't good enough. He takes her home to his penthouse apartment so he can look after her for a couple days, they need to talk about what they're going to do.
Cara is so busy running offense that she doesn't really give Brax any wiggle room. When he does get some, she slams things shut. Brax really is a good guy. She wore me out, I can only imagine how Brax felt. Though they go to the Dr together, these two have some major issues to work through, including her parents she hasn't spoken to in months, Stella blowing crap in Brax's head and meanwhile every step forward seemed to push two steps back. Angst... plenty. I like low angst. This one has it in spades. Much different from Stacey's norm. After a major blow out after things have gone along so well, Cara leaves. Brax is left holding his dick. Read the book to find out the details on that little sail along with me.... to the pit of hell. Stella was a Botch. I didn't like her and there's nothing she could do to redeem herself right from the very beginning. We don't see much of Jenna and Dan, but good people. It really pains me to say that while yes I you should read this, it's not her best book and I'm a huge fan of everything she writes. It just fell a little short for me. Sigh.
3.5 stars

Knocked Up is book 2 in the Crazy Love series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. If you didn't know this was book 2 in a series, I don't think you would even notice that you were missing out on backstories - HOWEVER, if you are like me, you would want to read more about the secondary characters. (holy run on sentence)

KNOCKED UP is one of those light and easy books to read on a lazy Saturday. Cara and Braxton have best friends in common. They are different in many ways, yet the same in so many more. This is a story about friendship and family by choice vs family by nature. The story of overcoming obstacles to move on in life and of becoming your authentic self.

I read this book cover to cover in a few hours and enjoyed the journey it took me on.

Thank you Net-Galley for allowing me to read/review this story

This was another sweet and sexy read from Stacey Lynn! Braxton was just the perfect book boyfriend, doing everything he could to take care of Cara even when she didn't think she needed it. Both characters had difficult childhoods, but Cara's has left her unwilling to let people in or try to help her. She grew up being second fiddle to her twin brother, even after he died. Eventually, after Braxton continues to show her he's not going anywhere, she relents and of course the couple get their HEA! I thought the book was well-written and the characters had good chemistry together and will gladly read additional Stacey Lynn books in the future!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. At points it was a littly cringey and all but I really did enjoy this book. My only issue is that the main character is supposed to have lots of tattoos and the cover guy had none.

I absolutely loved this book. Braxton and Cara had amazing chemistry together in and out of bed. Braxton was such a strong character on the outside but on the inside he was always trying to find a way to fit in because he felt like a lesser person because of his past. Cara was such a sweet and talented person. She was so unsure of herself because of how her parents treated her all her life. She was constantly second guessing herself. When you put the two of them together and put them into this story line it so totally works. I cannot say enough good things about this book. I cannot wait to see what the next book in this series holds. Cause his book was way more then a 5 star read. Thanks for the chance to review this book NetGalley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book! I haven't read any books by this author before but I will now be on the lookout for more of her work. This book followed Cara who becomes pregnant after a one night stand with Braxton. Braxton is one of those guys that every girl wants- a bad boy look with a heart of gold. Cara is the insecure girl who doesn't expect Braxton to be the guy she can depend on. The author explores both of their feelings about the pregnancy and for each other. I found myself falling in love with Braxton with each chapter I read. The ending does not disappoint and the only thing I would want to change is to maybe add an epilogue so that we could see what happens in their future.

The book is warm and if you are in the mood for a steamy romance this is a good book to pick up. It follows familiar tropes of boy meets girl, girl gets pregnant, and the boy ends up with the girl. What I like about this that is different opening. It was the cyclic method.

This was an enjoyable easy read. The premise basically follows the the story of Cara and Braxton who have a one night stand at their best friend's wedding. Cara ends up pregnant and book unravels how both deal with the pregnancy after finding out. Although I enjoyed the book, there were some inconsistencies that bothered me. For instance, the fact that the cover model and the way the author described the male protagonist do not match. I am not sure, if the cover will be revamped before the novel is release, but I really hope they make some changes to the cover.

So good! Loved how Braxton was all in from the beginning. There's nothing like a devoted, hot, tattooed bad boy. A nice sweet read with no cliffhanger. The one night stand story has been done many times, but this one definitely kept my interest and I loved Cara and Braxton together!

I really loved the story of Braxton the reformed bad boy and the upper crust Cara who had shed her silver spoon to make it on her own. My first and only HUGE complaint about this boo is the cover. HELLO?!!? The hero is a tattoo artist that is covered down to his fingers in ink, yet the cover shows a tattoo-free man??? Who the heck picked this cover? PLEASE change it! Whew, ok, got that off my chest.
I loved that Cara pretty much told Braxton straight away that she was pregnant. Obviously he was surprised, but there was no awful reaction simply to cause drama. I read one review that claimed there was a ton of unnecessary angst and misunderstanding. I couldn't disagree more. There was one real misunderstanding as there are with most relationships. It was sorted fairly quickly and didn't drag on which I love. A relationship between a one night stand which produces a baby is going to have some bumps and I think this book had just the right amount. I loved how Braxton was hard on the outside but a big ole softy on the inside. I truly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun, sweet surprise baby book without too much drama!
