This is a book that in other hands could have been a hot mess. So many overdone romance plot devices- from mean parents to the meddling, jealous female character could have made for constant eye-rolling. Lynn manages to take them all and create a solid story that never reinvents the wheel but still manages to keep the reader interested and engaged. There are no major surprises in this book but there are characters who have a demonstrable connection and the kind of hero I read romances for.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maid of Honor Cara and Best Man Braxton share a hot and steamy hook up at their friend’s wedding. Forward six weeks later and Cara is staring at a positive pregnancy test. What follows is their journey getting to know one another amid the trials of pregnancy and becoming first time parents.

this is my first book by Stacey Lynn even though i liked the story i will probably won't be reading anything else by (her writing style just isn't for me)
Like i said i liked the story you had angst you had an alpha male and you had a female mc who actually sort of had a backbone at times.
Even though the whole one-night-stand/ended up pregnant thing been done before it was still somewhat a unique story

This, I believe, is the first book I’ve read by Stacey Lynn and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Cara and Braxton’s story. While it seemed to hit on several cliche issues, it didn’t feel that way. I would certainly recommend this book to a friend.

Let's start with the obvious. The hero, Braxton Henley, is described as having full sleeve tattoos and most of his chest and back are also covered in tattoos. So, for the amount of skin being shown by the cover model there should at least be some photo-shopped ink. Why would you not want that?
Anyway, cover aside, this was a pretty standard accidental pregnancy romance, complete with a typical can't take a compliment heroine who has extreme parent issues (poor little rich girl) and a "bad-boy" because he grew up on the wrong side of town and has tattoos but somehow managed to pull himself up to the top.
I've read this story so many times and it has been done better than here. I did finish reading it, and it had cute moments, but the sexy-times were a bit tainted for me by the sheer amount of vomit discussed. Although, bully for the author for discussing the reality of pregnancy, so there is that.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. Cara is a law school drop out. She has turned her back on her uber-successful, but demanding family in order to forge her own path as an artist. Braxton grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. He has made his own way in the world with the help of close friends and a supportive mentor. With their support, he has created a chain of very successful tatoo parlors. Cara and Braxton's worlds collide when they are both in a friend's wedding. Even though Cara is not one to have a one night stand, she had one with Braxton. A few weeks later (and certainly not a spoiler if you read the title) she is pregnant. What do you do when the baby comes first? That is what the rest of the story is about. I really liked the characters even though things went unrealistically fast in their relationship. I like Stacey Lynn's writing style and I think this will be a perfect beach read this summer.

This book is phenomenal! I pulled an all-nighter because I couldn’t put it down.
Cara is a girl from a well-off family trying to do it on her own without her parents judgement.
Braxton is a tattoo shop owner who has made a name for himself after growing up on the wrong side of the tracks.
As the name alludes to they end up making a baby and they have to figure out how to make it all work when they don’t know each other.
I will be definitely be checking out the rest of the books by Stacey Lynn!

Braxton comes off as an asshole in the beginning. His character could only get better from there. Cara is too much of a push over. She does work in it throughout the book though.
Braxton's a tattoo artist and has several himself. However the man on the cover of this book has none. I hate when that happens.

Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn is a stand alone novel in the Crazy Love series. I did not read the first book and it didn't detract from the story.
Usually boy meets girl, falls in love, gets married then have kids. In this case, boy hooks up with girl at wedding and knocks her up and doesn't see her again until she shows up to tell him he's going to be a father. To say that Braxton and Cara get off to a rocky start would be an understatement. They both have their demons from the past that are messing with their heads. Sometimes it would be great if the characters could tell the voices to shut the F up, would make for less drama, but alas some conflict makes for a better story.
Really liked the characters, would have liked to see more of where Cara went with her art, but maybe we'll see more from her in another book. Overall, great chemistry, good pacing and enough angst to keep you interested.

Stacey has pushed another good story out on this series. I liked these two in the background of the last book and am glad they got their own story. Both deserved to have a good tale begin.
Cara and Braxton have big hurdles to cross to get to their happy ending. Interfering parents with chips on their shoulders, a friend with jealousy issues, and a multitude of issues from growing up in broken homes or with self esteem problems. All add up to a mess of emotions and ends with tears of joy.

This is the first book I've read by author Stacey Lynn but it won't be my last. A definite 4.5 stars and another author to add to my ever growing favorites list.

Cara and Braxton have a one night stand that results in her being "knocked up". Stunned by this development, Cara realizes she has to tell the father even if he isn't interested in helping raise the child. Braxton had a terrible childhood but has survived it due to a special mentor. He's successful now but that wasn't always the case. Cara also had an bad childhood and once she gets over the shock is looking forward to being a mom. Braxton and Cara want to create a loving family for their child. Sweet, sexy, romance.

I really enjoyed the romance between Braxton and Cara. There were times I thought Braxton was jerky but he has a good heart and makes up for his shortcomings. I thought that Braxton and Cara had great chemistry and were a great couple. This was a read that I'd recommend!

One night of passion after the wedding of their best friends leaves Cara and Braxton with more than just a hangover. Now pregnant the two need to figure out how the good girl and the bad tattoo covered boy can make it work. But although they both lead very different lives the chemistry is there and they find themselves falling in love. But can two very different people really get a relationship that ends with a HEA? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that keeps the reader’s attention from the opening pages this book was a great read that I highly recommend.

With a premise like this (knocked up by a one night stand who is also your best friend's husband's friend) you'd think there'd be plenty of story and angst without having to add the extra drama.
There was such pointless drama and angst and misunderstandings. I just wish there was an adult romance where we didn’t have to have any of these things. Or if it’s there at least it’s reasonable and they respond maturely.
The issues they went through, outside of navigating having a baby with a stranger (which was sadly rarely talked about), felt storybook to the numerous other contemporary romances I've read lately.
Overused scenarios:
Sad childhood (absentee or mean parents)
Death of a loved one
Recent ex-flame or someone trying to cause trouble
Man being really rich
Misunderstanding of one character’s night out with opposite sex
Unfortunately, I couldn't get myself to care for the characters nor the things that happened

Knocked up by Stacey Lynn is my first book by this author. I chose to read this book based on the description alone.
I absolutely LOVED this book! Definitely my favorite this year!
I have no complaints… start to finish… this book was amazing!
It’s about Cara and Braxton who have a one night stand at a mutual friend’s wedding. A month later, Cara finds out she is pregnant. A month after finding out she’s pregnant, she goes to Braxton’s place of business and tells him she is pregnant. Because of a misunderstanding, Braxton isn’t very nice to her even though he wants to help her as much as he can. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, we learn how attracted these two are and we ‘watch’ them fall in love.
Oh man! Read this book! Seriously!
I don’t want to ruin it for you. I read this book in one evening… that’s how good it is!

This was definitely a great book! It was really funny and super sexy!! This is Braxton and Cara story! It was very well written, I gave it four stars because its just not my favorite genre! Anyhoo braxton is a hot tattoo artist and cara was am artist of her own! I definitely recommend this book if the baby genre is your type of read! Thank you to netgalley and the publishers and author for sharing this book with me!!

Very cute, surprise pregnancy story, Braxton and Cara had terrible role models but some how they seem to be reasonably well adjusted if not a bit insecure. Poor Cara's parents were awful but lucky for her Braxton was a star.

4 stars!
Stacey Lynn is a go to author for me. I have read all her books. So, I know I was going to love this one!
Braxton and Cara, who we me in the first book in this series, had a weekend fling at their friend's weeding. Now, Cara is pregnant and needs to let Braxton know. She hasn't spoken to him since she snuck away from him after their weekend was over.
Braxton was disappointed when Cara left, and never contacted him. Now she is back with big news. I loved how sweet Braxton was throughout the entire story. He was such a sweetie, taking care of Cara. This was a cute story. I loved it and can't wait for the next book!
