"Where there is love, there is acceptance. Where there is love, there is forgiveness. Where there is love , there is compassion. Love is the root of every noble quality. Therefore, when there is love, do you need any other quality? When love is present , acceptance, forgiveness, and compassion all become redundant. Love alone is sufficient. No other quality is required. We all know this."
To be completely honest, I don't know this is a book that can be reviewed. I found it helpful to be reconnected with the principle of bhakti, the idea that love is key and that religion is a corruptible foundation for our hatred. The idea of meditation is both well explained but confusing, however, when viewed through a lense of single focus, it starts to come together.
My brain is full of noise and questions lately, and some people know how irritating that makes me (or that's my perception anyway). As Daaji says, it's what we do with the knowledge that makes and changes us.
Music recommendation for this book is "Divine Maha Mantra" by Jahnavi Harrison (no relation to George 🙂)
Thank you New harbinger and Netgalley for an ARC in return for my honest opinion.
This was a book I read slowly over a period of time. It was a lovely book to pick up, read and ponder.
Highly recommended
I was curious about meditation and whether it's a practice that someone can take up and incorporate into their daily lives. Reading this book off NetGalley was to feed my curiosity and the conversation with Daaji, did help. The tone of writing is serene and you cannot help but feel as though you are talking to a zen master and being enlightened. I know I received an eARC but I do hope that the final draft would have better formatting for ease of reading the flow of conversation. Thank you NetGalley and the Publisher.
