Thanks to netgalley.com and Serial Box for the advance ARC copy for my honest review.

"Ozymandias", is the final eleventh installment of a series that, will total 11 episodes, that makes up False Idol, Season 1 and the author varies with each episode.

Not only does Layla save lives, she gets a chance for a quick visit with her brother, sister and nephew before returning for New York and finishing the case. The whole relationship with James could have been written better, the whole romance varied by author, would have added an element to the story line, if they kept it more discreet, that only the two know verse his dad, even Mackey and it's like they left the ending with the two as a chance to continue the series.

I did think it would have been better to either have Layla walk up behind Mackey after he killed the IT guy and kill him and just seemed too easy the way it's written.

Definitely this one would read better as a traditional novel, with one author verse as installments with various authors and especially all the competition in the action adventure genre with espionage/terrorists as a theme in the story.

The final episode was the most heartfelt one for me. Agent el-Deeb was able to save many lives when she prevented the bombing of the Embassy, but there is one life she will not be able to save. Bennett Rothkopf must be charged and brought in and it is destroying Layla to break up his life and family. Layla also has to say goodbye to her siblings that she hasn't been with in so long. After a tearful goodbye to her family and former love, the story wraps up with Layla heading back to the States. I enjoyed this Serial and hope that Layla's story will one day continue.

This serial novel has been, overall, very enjoyable read. Certain episodes have been a little slower than others. In the last installment resolution on the persons behind the movement of artifacts funding the Muharib and their terrorist activities is revealed and their motivations.
I appreciate in this final read that Layla reconnects with her family and that storyline is also addressed, if not completely resolved (possibly to leave openings for future seasons).
Even with the wrap up, the author does throw in an element of surprise and action, maintaining the intensity in this episode as well.
I will certainly return for next season!
Thank you NetGalley and publisher, Serial Box, for the opportunity to read this ARC.
