Many thanks to Netgalley for an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. After reading a series of gruesome murder thrillers, I was after a light hearted, easy to read, feel good book and this delivered on all counts. Loveable characters Ginger and Logan both have their own agenda when they enter into their 'phony marriage of convenience. What happens next is somewhat predictable, but thoroughly enjoyable none the less as we follow their funny, romantic, and eventful love story.

Short and sweet, I enjoyed Ginger and Logan’s story, far-fetched as it may have been. I find myself wishing, after reading others reviews, that it has been longer and that Logan really was a James Bond-type spy! That’s what happens sometimes with novellas...no matter how satisfying, many leave you wanting more. Sweet Matchmaker did that to me.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This book is short and very sweet. I loved Ginger and Logan. The marriage of convenience with a few twist. An easy read that you will love. I was given a arc of this book by netgalley and the publisher, the opinions are my own

Jean Oram writes sweet romances. This is one of those stories where one of the people needs to get married to stay in the country and the wedding happens very quickly. There is definite attraction between them. This is a green card story with a big twist.
Ginger needs a temporary fake fiance. Logan needs a fiance that will marry him so that he can stay in the country long enough to finish up an investigation of an illegal diamond business. Ginger is a sucker for accents and Logan is Australian--uh, oh! Will Ginger figure out she just married a spy?
This is a light, fast, entertaining read with engaging characters.

Ginger and Logan meet and pretend to be engaged to get into an event for engaged couples in Indigo Bay. She ends up winning several prizes including an elopement package and the honeymoon cottage. Logan will lose his visa to Australia if he doesn't find a way to extend it with a marriage of convenience. He also has to think about his ward Annabelle with Downs Syndrome, who is in a special home in Indigo Bay and hates change. Annabelle is who wins Ginger over to agreeing to the marriage of convenience. But Logan is very secretive and it seems like he is up to no good. Will he be able to keep Ginger safe without blowing his cover? Nice summer romance with plenty of humor and action.

This was just too contrived. I didn't understand why only engaged people could attend that party. I didn't understand why they got fake married. The romance between them didn't develop at all.

This is a sweet fun romance about a wannabe bridal shop owner and an undercover agent. They both have their own reasons for entering a marriage of convenience--one of my favorite tropes--and the fun begins. There isn't much action but a lot does happen. Ginger is great, if a little insecure and Logan is big and hot and amazing. Jean Oram has put together another great read.

Sweet Matchmaker is the perfect title for this sweet romantic story of Ginger and Logan. Jean Oram gives the reader a lighthearted romance concerning a bridal shop owner and an undercover agent. While it is not a comedy, it is also not an action-paced thriller. Not nail biting or graphic in violence which is fine with me. I found it to be an entertaining read.

The focus of the story is on Ginger’s and Logan’s meeting and quick wedding of convenience. The purpose of that wedding is as good as any I have read for that trope. It has dual POV which helps to see why they behaved as they did. However, it is Ginger’s actions concerning her relationships with men that is dealt with in depth. Logan is for all his “lies” a pretty straight forward kind of guy. He is a Roger Moore type of spy than he is a Daniel Craig type.

Fans of the Blueberry Springs Series and the Indigo Bay Series will be thrilled that both places are connected in this short novel. It is the first for me to read of either series, so I can say it is a stand-alone story. Sweet Matchmaker is a fun, sweet story of two people who didn’t realize that they were looking for true love.

SWEET MATCHMAKER by Jean Oram
Are all men liars, she wonders, So with a promise of no lies, she marries. Then with kisses that delight her, they have their goals, but what will outcome be. Delightful, funny she has given us another delightful look at a marriage, that didn’t start out smoothly. Readers will once again enjoy another by Jean.

This was a really cute and light romance. I'm always a sucker for stories that involve marriages of convenience that turn into the real thing.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy.

Ginger and Logan need admittance to an engaged-couples-only event for different reasons. They pretend to be engaged, and soon afterwards, they end up married but will they stay married?

I was in the mood for something short and light, so I picked up this book. It is short, cute, and happy, but I feel like it tried to do too much in too few pages.

This book was not for me so I won't be reviewing it. Star review included only so I'm allowed to leave a note.

I felt like the cover didn't match the tone of the first couple chapters and that the amount of telling and backstory were just not pulling me in. I kept waiting for something to happen.

I requested to read this book off NetGalley (thank you for the eARC) this afternoon and just like the title, it's a sweet romance, with lovable characters, a chance meeting and a twist or two to keep the pace.
If you're looking for a short sweet romance then this would appeal to you.
