While I have enjoyed all the other Disney Fairy manga titles, and I enjoyed the story here, I didn't love that a different artist was used. While I know that TokyoPop had nothing to do with that and it was a choice made by Japanese publishers, I still dislike the lack of continuity between the volumes. Thankfully, the kids in my library don't seem to care in the least, as this checks out just as well as the other Disney Fairy manga titles.

Love Tinkerbell and this is a fun manga version of the story. Absolutely love the illustrations, really fun to look at. Such a fun story:
"Every fairy attends the annual fairy camp on the mainland, and Tinker Bell is no different! When she finds out about the human family living nearby, her curiosity gets the better of her and she accidentally gets trapped in a tiny house made by a young girl named Lizzy. Now Vidia and the other fairies must come together to rescue Tink, before the humans discover her!"
There is instructions on how to read manga included, along with previews of other books.

First let me Thank Netgalley for this digital copy. I just love everything Tinkerbell and Fairies! The story is one I always loved and the illustrations are wonderful. I love the way the way the fairies take on more of an anima look. Manga is always fun to read! I definitely recommend this book to everyone who is like me and loves Everything Disney!

This looked to be a really cute book, but the downloadable file was either not compatible or could not be read. The cover illustration was also less defined than I would have thought it would be. But the story sounded great.

Nice illustrations and a cute story -- if you like graphic novels then this is a cute option. The story is interesting with great Disney characters.

When Tinker Bell and Vidia find Lizzy’s fairy house

Tinker Bell accidentally gets locked in and captured. Hijinks and fairy trouble ensue. This is a sweet Tinker Bell story converted from the movie (which I haven’t seen) to manga. It’s really nicely written, and the manga is drawn in a style that matches the storyline, sweet and innocent in many ways. It’s definitely traditional Disney fairy fare. If you enjoy manga or the Disney fairy/Tinker Bell animated movies, you’ll enjoy this manga.

In addition to the Tinker Bell story, there are previews of other Disney Fairy manga, a Grimm’s fairytale, Town Musicians of Bremen, from Grimms Manga Tales – which is rather darkly and traditionally drawn in contrast to the other stories, and a Stitch short story, Stitch Meets Yuna, which is cute and typically Stitch-ish. There are also some ads for other Disney manga titles.

I tried read this on my Fire tablet and my iPad, and I think the quality is better on the iPad, I’m sure it’s probably just the resolution of the screen. It was very readable on both.

Remember to follow the panels and conversation bubbles from right to left. There’s a handy reference at the front (actually the back) of the book that shows you the flow in numbers, so you won’t get lost. (Trying to read left to right will get your brain in a knot and make for some really weird conversations!)

Highly recommended for anyone who loved the Disney Tinker Bell and Fairy animated movies, loves manga, or simply enjoys a sweet children’s book.

This manga was really true to the movie. I ended up enjoying it a lot. I like all things Disney and of course the fairies. The artwork was cute, the little girl was cute. I don't like the first instinct of the humans was to put the fairy in a cage or jar (this is probably quite realistic if we're being honest), but at least the little girl let her go with no fuss and the father learned a lesson.

When a girl gets a model fairy house she manages to trap Tinkerbell inside and it's up to her fairy friends to work together to free her. So, they hatch a plan and battle through many hard situations while the girl and Tinkerbell become friends whilst the girl's father thinks she's imagining the fairies with her wild imagination, not really seeing them for himself until a magical meeting and he gets swept up into the fairy antics with his daughter too!

A fun manga all about Tinkerbell and her friends as they meet the humans and learn they're not as bad as they seem and can be helpful. With ultra colourful graphics and a lovely tale about friendship and helping others.

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I am still not a fan of Tinkerhell, but I have to say that I am liking her quite a bit in this Disney Fairies series. That is also why, after a bit of hesitation, I decided to just go for it and request this book. And after reading it? I am very happy that I did. Tinkerbell is totally different in this Disney Fairies series. She is sweet, kind, fun, and sure, at times she is a bit obnoxious, but not overly so.

In this one our fairies are at a camp on the mainland, and it is there that Tink goes out and meets a tiny little girl. Though the meeting isn't really in a good way. Tink gets trapped (thanks to Vidia) and taken inside the house. From that point the story splits in two parts. The biggest part goes to Tink (as it should it is her book/story after all) and the other part goes to Vidia and the other fairies who go for a rescue mission to save Tink from the humans.

Tink was planning to leave, but due to the weather (fairies can't get wet wings) and also some other reasons, Tink decides to stay and help out the little girl and also fix up their house (she is still Tinkerbell). I really loved that Tink stayed, that she started caring for the little kid and even tried to make her life more fun.

I hated the dad in the story. He was just so terrible towards his kid. I get that he may want her to get more scientific, but really to dismiss her fantasies and daytime fun like this? To act like a total wart towards her when she tries to show him the truth? He even rips of her drawings, and then when he finally does see the truth he does THAT. Man, really, you need a kick between the balls. Sorry, I am normally not so violent, but I was just pissed off at his attitude. This is not how you make your kid happy.

The ending was pretty nice, and yes, I did tear up a bit.

I have to say I am a bit sad, 91 pages of this volume are about the fairies, but the rest is just sneak-previews to other manga (that I either already tried out or am not interested in). I thought that, after the main story, we would get another short story, so I kept scrolling through my e-copy only to find that there was nothing anymore. :(

The art was not really a favourite of mine. At times it looked quite nice, but I still prefer Jun Asuka or Haruhi Kato's art.
