OMG - that is all I can say for now.

***UPDATE*** SPOILER FREE***

Thrilling. Action packed. Suspenseful

Murder Girl, is the sequel and also the conclusion to the most suspenseful series that is Lilah Love.

The book starts from where it left off in Murder Notes, with Lilah fighting hard to find and punish the guy who stalks her and stands behind all the murders. If Lilah will solve the mystery and get away alive, remains to be seen.

The book is so fast paced, it promises to keep your heart in your throat all the way from start to finish.

I need more of it !!!

Ok so LRJ is my go to suspense author and this is no different. Murder Girl picks up right where Murder Notes ended and they must be read in order. This story continues the same pattern where there isn’t much romance and although there are strong Alpha males the star of the show is Lilah Love, a take no prisoners FBI profiler! So, we are still trying to piece together Lilah’s past and how the new murders seem to be connected to her. She is continuing to try to solve the murders, figure out who her stalker is and balance her family drama and demands. I thought we would get the end of the story with this book, but no, there is more. We have basically solved the murders, but the family drama is still there and she is also trying to find a balance with her FBI role and her connection to Kane.

I love the depth and detail in these stories. Even though we got plenty of answers we are left with many more questions at the end of book 2. I can hardly put in to words how amazing this story is without spoiling all the fabulous twists!

Book #2 starts right where we left Lilah in book #1!

She just arrived at Kane's to see the boss of the Romano cartel bound and gagged in his garage! What is happening? And why doesn't Kane want her to dig any deeper into the tattoo and the killings and everything that happened back then?

But Lilah is not giving up.

Added to her Kane troubles, her colleague and ex lover Rich is now in the Hamptons too - sent by her boss to help. But she can't have Rich anywhere near Kane or the killer! She doesn't want another dead person on her conscience.

Who is the bad guy? The bad GUYSSSS???

Let's hope Lilah will find out everything before too many more people are killed!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO LILAH???
WILL SHE CATCH THE BAD GUYs???
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

Finally book #2!

I really enjoyed the first one and as always with a second book, I was mega scared that I had forgotten too much. BUT - Lisa is amazing at making us Bookalzheimer sufferers remember the previous book! She spent the first SEVEN percent of the book telling us all about what happened in the first one! AMAZING! Thank you LRJ!!!

And then we're right in the middle of Lilah's adventure!

And we still don't know what and who and how and why and grrrrrr - I wanted to take a peek at the end to find out if everything will end up okay, but of course I kept on reading without sneaking a peek!

description

In my opinion it started out a bit slow, but it soon got really exciting - with more people dead and more than one killer? Who is hiring these guys? What is happening?!?!!! It's all mega exciting and Lilah is trying her best to find answers without getting any of her loved ones killed. And that includes Kane. He wants Lilah back for good, but she thinks that will never work - her badge will not allow them to end up happily ever after - BUT maybe the reader can still hope for a happy end.

As the story goes on we find out what is behind things, but this book will not end with all the bad guys behind bars and all the cases closed. Lilah still has a lot to do... and I can't wait to get started with book #3 - I haven't heard anything about this being more than a duet, but I realllly hope so!!!

If you want to compare this series to a TV Show, I would say it's a mix of Criminal Minds & Revenge! Profiling FBI meets Hamptons small-town rich families and politics.

I wouldn't mind seeing this on Netflix one day!!! I really need to see Kane!! ☺

And I also wouldn't mind a story about a few of the male guest-stars in those first 2 books!

MURDER GIRL was the perfect 2nd book in this mystery thriller series!
Super exciting, page-turnerish, funny - and so much more!
Run to your nearest amazon to find out if and how Lilah will catch the bad guys & for your own peek at Kane ;) !

I loved the second book. Lilah and Kane are on different sides of the law but they balance each other out. Their partnership goes beyond attraction they have a secret to keep buried. I would definitely recommend this book. It kept me guessing as to who the killer was. It kept me interested from beginning to end and I couldn't put the book down.

"There's no such thing as a coincidence."

Thank you Lisa Renee Jones for the recap at the beginning of Murder Girl to refresh my memory. With so many characters and behind the scenes scenarios to keep straight it was much appreciated. It didn't take me long at all to become totally immersed and back up to speed, sharpening my profiler skills and learning a few new tricks from 'Agent-fucking-Love' who doesn't mess around. She takes her job, her secrets, and her chocolate very seriously.

I don't know how many books there will be in the Lilah Love series, but the deeper I get, the more intriguing it becomes. Just when I think we've turned a corner and I've figured things out, then something new happens and I'm left scratching my head, back to square one. I've got my suspicions and persons of interest who I'd like to stalk, but Lilah has more experience so I'll just keep tagging along with her. I know she's got my back, and she's got Cujo.

Kane has a soft spot for Lilah and he lets her get away with things that nobody else would even attempt. He's very well known and whether he actually dabbles in the family business or not I'm not sure. One thing I am sure of is that he could have any woman, except her, but it's her he wants. He assures her that he always tells the truth, but does he tell her everything? How much is he holding back to protect her? No really, I was hoping you could tell me.

At this point, I have more questions than answers. But one thing I know for sure is that the chemistry between Kane and Lilah is scorching. I have no idea how she managed to walk away from this man for two years but I can assure you that the distance did not diminish the sparks that fly between them. If it wasn't for the conflict of interest regarding their chosen careers I'm sure all their problems could be solved between the sheets. And I'm not denying that I mentally urged them to try that method of conflict resolution. I was sure that if it didn't work by then they wouldn't care.

As even more players in this deadly game start coming out of the woodwork, the suspense builds. It's hard to tell who the good guys are, or if there are any. Lilah is starting to question herself and what lengths she's willing to go to in this game of cat and mouse. She's letting her dark side come out to play and finds herself reluctant to put it back in its place. As she struggles to figure out who her enemies are, she also struggles to accept who isn't. The one who seems to always be there when she needs him, and even when she doesn't. How much longer will she be able to resist the pull of attraction before she accepts the release he offers?

Woo Hoo! What a mind-bending ball of fun this story is. I love trying to figure things out and it's so exciting when I'm occasionally right with my guesses. I throw myself right into the drama and don't come out until I've turned the last page. And after turning this last page, I don't have my answers and I'm going back for more. The line forms here...

You need to read the first book (Murder Notes) in this series before reading this one. I liked this book and the series; however, this is not my favorite of Lisa's work. I prefer her romance/suspense work. This series has a thriller feel with romantic undertones. I do get a kick out of Lilah and her "colorful" language and I do love a "kick ass" heroine. Kane is a good match for her and the romantic in me hopes their relationship continues in the conclusion of this series. We are again left with some questions as to what is really going on here but I know Lisa will not fail us in the next book with those answers. I received an advance copy of this book from the author and publisher and this is my honest and voluntary review.

What an amazing book! Murder Girl starts right where Murder Notes ends and takes you relentlessly on a twisted, suspenseful journey. As the story unfolds, it feels as if you are binge watching it on TV. The clues are varied, the suspects are multiple and Lilah still trusts no one. No one that is except Kane Mendez and that she feels is not good for her heart. The murders feel too close to her own tragic incident and that involves Kane. She left to try and keep him and their secrets buried but now someone is taunting them both. Lisa Renee Jones is brilliant at bringing a suspense story completely together, wrapping up even the smallest of details and this book is no different. Lilah is relatable and funny. Her sarcasm is spot on and her quest for the truth is fierce. I am hoping for more Lilah Love!

Oh my gosh... I want more Lilah!
Agent Lilah Love is back! Murder Girl is the second in the Lilah Love series by Lisa Renee Jones.

Lila Love is a FBI profiler and a total badass and the story picks up right where Murder Notes leaves off. She makes you literally question everyone's motives!
she also can't be with Kane, because they are on opposite sides of the line. But the dynamic between

Lilah and Kane is so intense, there is so much chemistry between them, love and hate.
things from the past, are coming in to the future, dead bodies, fights, trust and a lot of mystery.....

It's book two in a serie and I loved all the twists & turns the book takes and I can’t wait to see how this is all going to end!

I'm seriously in love with this series! I'm fascinated by the process of watching the main character figure out clue by clue to solve a series of murders, as well as dealing with what happened to her two years prior and how that may be connected.

To see how an author can have so much going on in a story and slowly connect everything that happens to the people we get introduced to just has me riveted to the pages. Trust me, you will not be bored with this series. The more you read the more it sucks you in and the more you want to find out the truth right along with Lilah.

The romance part is not a major focus but still a big part of the story. You do get to see Kane and Lilah work together more in this book vs the first book and I hope that will continue. I like these two together. Kane having Lilah's back just increases the excitement of the story. He should be forbidden to her. He should be the one she trust the least, but the fact that he is the only one she can trust makes him one of the most intriguing characters besides Lilah herself.

This is not a standalone set. You have to read book one or you will not only be lost, but also miss out on some major things that happened. It's why I can't reveal too much about what is happening in this book. While this did end with the a bit of a completion, it still is not over. Lilah has accomplished one task to a very big picture. I'm excited for the next book and looking forward to what will be revealed next. I voluntarily read this arc.

Enjoyed the ride!

Now that I knew to expect more mystery, less romance, I immensely enjoyed the ride! I loved all the twists & turns the book takes! I loved getting more into Lilah’s mind & how she figures things out. We do get a little bit more of Kane, & I loved that too along with Kane & Lilah’s back & forth! Can’t wait to see how this is all going to end!

I voluntarily read an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Oh man! This go round Lisa Renee Jones just solidified that she definitely knows how to do romantic suspense! I fell so far into this story that I lost most of my day to the ins and outs that Lilah Love was weeding through as she tries to solve her case. It was a day well spent.

Lilah’s investigation takes her to a place I never imagined. This story goes DEEP into some serious mystery that I won’t spoil. Even as she’s suspecting everyone around her, I was right there as well experiencing a journey of suspense I won’t soon forget. I totally love Lilah’s no nonsense F-you attitude which is something I don’t usually enjoy. But Lilah, geez, she’s just so freaking determined to get to the end of the threads that just keep unraveling and she’s tough enough to do it on her own. I respected the heck out of her!

Kane is still a bit on the backburner through the first half of the book but when things start speeding up, he’s there to give her the support that only he can offer. With his actions and words we are given some insight into how he thinks and what he feels. At one point when they are talking about what happened in the past, I realized that this man would do anything for her. Even more than what he had done that one fateful night years ago. Gah! I love a hero like that.

This picks up exactly where Murder Notes stops so you will certainly need to read book one. However, Ms. Jones does include a summary of Notes to help refresh your memory and I was so thankful for the reminders of some of the little tidbits I had forgotten. More authors should utilize this tactic when delving into an ongoing saga.

This isn’t necessarily fast paced but it never bogged down and I never once felt the urge to skim. I consumed every word and when I hit the end I immediately needed the rest of the story. And now to hurry up and wait! Sigh.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Montlake Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Murder Girl is the second in the Lilah Love series by Lisa Renee Jones. It’s a suspenseful rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns in a plot that’s more thriller than the sexy romance we have all come to expect from the writer of the ‘Dirty Money’, Walker Brothers and Dirty Rich series’s to name but a few. Lisa is an exceptional author, she never fails to deliver with her stories and didn’t let me down here.
Lilah is even more driven, more tenacious than she was in Murder Girl while Kane is the devil in plain
The story continues where Murder Notes left off and we are dropped into the deep end right from the get go. Kane and Lilah are at odds, she committed to finding to the truth about her past, and Kane is equally determined to keep her from discovering things he doesn’t want her to know. She doesn’t want to lose him again, no matter what she tells herself. She knows they can’t be together but events keep putting them in the same space so she finds it harder and harder to keep her feelings to herself. Theirs is a forbidden kind of love. Dark, thrilling and deeply entangling.
The body count keeps rising, and as Lilah tries to figure out who Junior is she’s drawn all over the Hamptons on her drive to capture him or her. She enlists Kane help in part of this but he is adamant he accompany her, no going alone. It’s a hard road she travels with the connection her family has with the legal and political systems.
When Lilah finally gets a lead on the case, a copycat killing of one from before she left NY, takes place that forces her to face facts.
That the serial killer/ assassin is closer to her than she realized.
She doesn’t know who to trust except Kane. Always, Kane.
Her ex-boyfriend and FBI partner from LA, Rich, is supposed to be a good guy, but is he? His hatred and jealousy of Kane make him a liability to her and himself. Then, there’s Greg, her ex-partner for her days at NYPD, who’s now working a side job with Kane’s adversaries. Does he have something to hide?
Even her boss at the FBI comes under Lilah’s scrutiny as her mind leads her down the rabbit hole of suspicion.
Kane wants to keep Lilah safe from harm, even if it means lying to her, he may technically be a criminal, his father was head of the biggest cartel in the state after all, but he’s gone legit and wants to stay that way. He wants Lilah back in his life for good so when he gets a call from someone Lilah needs to talk to he agrees, but only with him by her side. And Lilah has to abide by his rules which means now shooting or arresting anyone, not even him.
Lilah gains some real insights into the case, ones that make it harder than ever to believe anything anyone says. Not even her father or brother.
But lives are on the line and Lilah has to make a choice, one that could cost her her family or maybe just her own life, and Kane’s too. And when all’s said and done, who will be left standing in the suspense filled ending to this story?
As I said, the romance takes second place to the story here but it doesn’t water down the chemistry between these two characters and when they get their moments they definitely make them count. They have a past, but do they have a future.
Only time will tell.
Because one thing is certain.
Lilah Love is NOT done, she has more tales to tell and more murders to solve.

Lilah Love is such an unique character. This series is so different from what everyone else writes. I love that she is so unapologetically in your face. She tries to joke but most people don’t find them funny. She struggles with the fact that dead bodies don’t bother her but ironically talking about her feelings does. I love Kane! He’s done bad things but there is so much more to him. Lisa Renee Jones has crafted a wonderful new series and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next! I received an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review. I pretty much begged for this book since I read Murder Notes, so it's not like the title, blurb or cover had anything to do with it. Part two was a must have after an amazing part one.

Special Agent Lilah Love is an amazing character. After the first part, I didn't think the chemistry between her and Kane Mendez could get any hotter but this book took nuclear to a whole new level. So many amazing quotes from this book..... I think I highlighted half my book. I do say though if you loved book one, take time to highlight it because this series isn't going to end here. Which in my book is five stars of amazing! Make a timeline because I'm pretty sure we will be seeing most of these characters again. In this part Lilah is coming closer to the truth and everything is getting more serious. It feels like her back is against the wall and she is left with the only person she can trust...the only person that truly knows her....Kane. He is such an enigma character. I think I'm more melancholy because I'm finished with the book, and I want more. That's what makes books like this one so great, that feeling when you finish and just want more. Five stars of entertainment! Damn fine job!

Could not put this book down! The feelings that I get from your writing is so breathtaking, heart pounding and thrilling it takes my breath away!

Agent Lilah Love is back and still at the beginning any closer to finding out who set up Woods and why they are wanting Kane Mendez to take the fall and more importantly who is killing everyone? Murder Girl starts with Old Man Romano tied up in Kane's basement and then learning he doesn't know much either. I have to admit; I wasn't 100% keen on this particular book as It seemed to jump all over the place and was hard to concentrate and find out what was happening, as it looks like Lilah can't trust anyone not even her blood as she is about to discover that what she has been busy uncovering goes way past her rape and all the way to her mother's and Lucas's father's deaths. We also see that Lilah is continuing to receive notes from whom she calls Junior and at the end of this book, the notes still keep on coming. It looks like we know what will be Lilah's mission in the third novel which since this gets released in July, I will have to wait for until next year. I normally really love murder mysteries, but this particular one fell flat for me. I will, however, read the next one in the series as I have a few unanswered questions that I am hoping Lisa will answer for us with the third Lilah Love book. Murder Girl brings us more Murders, Questions and the introduction to a secret society operating in today's society and one that goes deeper than anyone could ever imagine. Who can you trust when you don't know how deep the society runs? Find out in Book #2 of Agent Lilah Love series by Lisa Renee Jones. Coming to an e-reader near you in July 2018.

Lilah loves being an FBI profiler and her newest case is nothing if not challenging. A series of murders connected by tattoos on the victim leads Lilah all the way back to her own hometown. But she’s completely unaware that the killer is just as interested in her as she is in him and he’s closing in on her fast. An exciting read with a spunky heroine

I am freaking OBSESSED with Lilah F*@&ing Love! She makes you literally question everyone's motives! The friend, the brother, the ex-partner, the medical examiner, her boss? Every single person could be shady and untrustworthy. Her mind amazes me.

I am so wrapped up in this story and this mystery. It's one of those books that doesn't even give you half a puzzle piece before scattering the board again. And along with the chaos and suspense, is a forbidden love story. Lilah can't be with Kane because they are on opposite sides of the line. But there are two parts of her and he sees them more clearly than anyone.

So, by the end of Murder Girl, you have one dilemna wrapped up, and a new one set up for the next book. I'm telling you right now, this is a can't miss series. Not a stand alone, go back and read book one first. Oh and I appreciated the recap from book one at the beginning of this, very helpful.

Lilah Love is back and is determined to find the answers that continue to allude her. From the very first page I was hooked. Desperate to find the answers that plaqued my mind as a reader and trying to find out what happened. The energy she and Kane have threatened to consume them both anytime they are near each other. This series suspense is off the charts!
