Lily Blackwood is a new author to me so I haven’t read the other books in this series but The Warrior Of Clan Kincaid can be read as a standalone. I seriously loved this book!! I am so happy to have found another historical romance author to read that I am doing a little happy dance! Simply fantastic! Rich, captivating characters that make you fall in love with them. I definitely plan on going back and reading the series from the beginning.

This story captured my attention and held it throughout. Cullen, the hero, is honorable despite his background. Derryth, the heroine, is spoiled and seemingly weak at the start, yet I feel she discovers her inner strength and courage though her captivity. Cullen’s love for Derryth leads him to rethink his life and what he wants out of it. There are significant obstacles to their being able to get together and have their HEA.

The book had a satisfying ending and it had great pacing throughout.

She is captured in route by Cull the Nameless a prominent captain in the King’s guard. As Derryth tries to find a way to deter this invasion she becomes familiar with Cull and see a man doing his duty in a just way.

The raw emotions in this book are so powerful. I must say this is by far one the best books about the Highlanders I have ever read.

I would strongly recommend this story. I intend to back read some of her novels as I was so impressed with her narrative.

much anticipation for this book but i felt a little disappointed. the chemistry i felt was lacking and they spent more time apart than together in the book. it felt very slow paced and t0ok forever to get to the ending.

Lily Blackwood brings a powerful and emotional ending to this wonderful series with The Warrior Of Clan Kincaid. This story was a heartstopper all the way to the end.

This was an emotionally rich story that broke my heart on the very first page. Gawd how my heart bled for Cull and it made me hate the villain with a passion. He was such a compelling hero whose tumultuous joureney was loaded with secrets, surprises, and betrayals. Then there was Derryth who desperately wanted to prove her worth to her adopted clan but found herself falling in love with one of their enemies. I really wanted them to find a way around the impossible situation, for Cull to be reunited with his brothers, and get the happy ever after ending. I found muself so caught up in the rich storytelling that I almost didn't notice how the author cleverly strung out the most obvious secrets until toward the big climax.

I have loved each one of the three books in this wonderful historical romance series by Lily Blackwood. They are wonderfully written, passionate and emotional. I loved the characters, the setting and vivid descriptions, and intricate suspense. Most of all I loved the powerful love stories as the three brothers were reunited to outwit and defeat their enemy. I highly recommend this series and eagerly look forward to the next endeavor by Lily Blackwood.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough regal romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Derryth has been sent to Falranrock, the home of the MacClaren's. It was to keep her safe. The Laird was afraid the Wolf was around and after the last time he was around Kincaid's, he killed the parents and youngest brother. A lot of Kincaid deaths can be put squarely on Buchan's shoulders. Lady Kincaid was eight months pregnant and could not travel. Cull the nameless, had been a slave at ten years old. But he was rescued by Buchan. He took him to a training castle so he could be taught how to fight. He became very proficient with a sword and was feared.
I loved this story, the support they gave to each other and the important task to find the truth. The characters are great and mesh well together. The tale gets complicated with the slashing, murder, fear, and danger. I so loved this book and I am going to look into getting her other ones. She writes well, keeps it interesting for the reader. So much is going on but she seems to be able to keep it straight for you.

Really good, I was worried since reading the other books in the series I was thinking it would not cut the mustard but it did. It is my favorite in the series the drama is wonderful. A good read.

I didn’t read the other 2 books in this series, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying this one. Cull is a Highlands warrior who is really nice. Derryth is a sort of spoiled lady that he accidentally holds prisoner. They realize their enemies while falling for one another. There are some giant obstacles to their relationship - and it made me happy bc these weren’t manufactured by the characters.

I liked the Derryth was a kind of sassy little thing. Yeah, she was whiny and a little silly. But overall she was likable in a crap situation. Cull was just likable and sweet through and through.

I don’t think this book went below the surface. It was prolly 3 stars for plot and character development but 4 stars for being easy and fun to read.

Absolutely loved everything about this story. The twists and turns had me holding onto the edge of my seat. Loved the play between Cull and Derryth. There are so many great laugh out loud moments. While there were parts i would have loved to read more about it was written well with great strong characters and a great back story. This is the first novel from this author I have read. I cannot wait to read more.

Wow! The Warrior of Clan Kincaid by Lily Blackwood is a phenomenal historical romance. Cull was bought from a slaver's ship and became a warrior for the King 's Guard. Derryth was kidnapped by Cull's men on her way home from visiting her sister. Derryth and Cull's story is loaded with action, suspense, humor, steamy sex, drama and lots of twists and turns. This story captured me at the first page and didn't let me go until the end. I loved it. The Warrior of Clan Kincaid is book 3 of the Highland Warrior Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

an splendid historical romance with a solid plot. I liked how the author was able to take a historical and mix in some intrigue. The romance between Derryth and Cull is romantic. I totally loved this book.

A tender and emotional love story .
Enemies, craving to be together , families fighting on different sides of a war .
Two people falling in love , hoping they can find a way to be together.
As a commander and her lover Cull is torn ,as her family wait for him to destroy them , can she talk him round before hell breaks loose .
I loved this book , so many conflicting emotions run through it and you can imagine the torment of being in their position.
It’s a really well written story and everything about it makes you love it .

I quite enjoyed this book ...I rate it a solid 4-1/2 stars! The story had all the elements needed in a good romance novel …,I loved the interaction of the main characters,... the romance was hot and steamy... nice humor ... and a bit of suspense to tie it all together. I enjoyed Ms Blackwood's style of writing …there was a nice flow to her words. I would definitely look for more of her work in the future.

This novel was a good read. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. Derryth MacClaren has been sent away to protect her fro the Wolf, who has a vendetta against the Kincaid clan. While traveling, she and her companions are captured by Cull, who fights for the Scottish king and has no memory of his past. Derryth is claimed by Cull, who desires her yet wants to keep her safe. He believes her to be a peasant, and Derryth does not correct him. She keeps her identity a secret. Derryth does not want to care for Cull, but she sees kindness beneath the exterior. Cull wants to have something belonging to him, since he has no memory of who he is or where he came from. Derryth's arrival has him thinking about where he truly stands. Neither can deny the feelings they have for the other. Derryth discovers a tattoo on Cull and believes it is the mark of the Kincaid clan. However, there are those who conspire to keep them apart. When the truth is revealed, where will it place Derryth and Cull?
