Joe Lynch lives a happy, if uneventful life. He's got a beautiful, successful wife, a lovely little boy and a job, while not very exciting, is very fulfilling and pays the bills. In his mind, he has it all.

One day, by chance, he and his son see his wife pull into a parking garage. He's curious as to where she's going, so makes a split second decision to follow her and changes all of their lives forever.

This book was good, it was fairly fast-paced. I liked Joe, and felt sorry for him the entire book. The twist at the end was good, but I personally thought it was pretty predictable.

This was ADDICTIVE. I could not put the book down for a second. I sped through the entire book in an afternoon. Unlike many of the thrillers I've read this year, Lies wasn't racy and adventure-packed. Instead, it was more of a slow-burn thriller where you end up waiting on tiptoes for the other shoe to drop. Complex characters, an excellent plot and thrilling writing style are what I loved about the book.

As for the ending, which is always important in any mystery, I kind of suspected it midway but I only got the 'who' right and not the 'why' so I really enjoyed it!

Are you searching for a thrilling page-turner? Look no further. I literally read this book in 6 hours. It was hard to put it down.

Joe Lynch's life is perfect. He works as an English teacher in a prestige school, loves what he does. His wife is a smart and gorgeous career woman. His son is well observant, corky and smart. What else a man can ask for, right?

But one fatal afternoon, Joe's son notices his mom's car in a traffic and insists on following "mommy car" to show her his newly achieved reward. And that's the moment when Joe's life as he knows it starts to fall apart.

Like a domino effect lies and secrets start to come to lite. Nevertheless, the worst part of it all - Joe finds himself in a middle of a scheme that may cause him his freedom.

I love books that make me think. And this book is a major gem. Characters are marvelous, the plot is intriguing, and the best part - the story does not drag. Everything happens so quick! Thanks a million to NetGalley for suggesting this book, St. Martin's Press for publishing this novel, and T.M.Logan for writing this phenomenal page-turner. I can't wait to read more books by this author!

I was lucky to receive “Lies” from Net Galley for an honest review. This book started off fast. Joe and his son see his wife’s car and follow her to an underground garage. Joe see his wife greet another man and it is obvious that he is more than a friend. Joe beats up the man and then the story takes off. Joe is framed for the murder of the man and he must help himself. I was fascinated by the way this book used modern technology to further the plot. Very today.

Joe could have been a little smarter by know what was going on with his wife beforehand. But all and all, a good story.

From the day Joe sees his wife Melisa's car in the hotel parking lot his life starts falling apart. One day his wife, his marriage, his son, his family, his job as a teacher were just normal. Suddenly life around him seems to be nothing but lies. The question is where is their friend Ben who has upended his life so quickly. How can he bring the craziness to an end? Quickly you will come involved in rooting for normalcy for this man Joe, you just have to like him, but oh the dark road he has to follow. Twists and turns to the shocking conclusion will keep you turning the pages.

Thanks you to Netgalley for my ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Lies by TM Logan is about the tangled web of lies ones weaves, and the consequences for those it entangles. Joe had a wonderful life, until the day he spots his wife’’s car on a busy street. Which leads to the question: What if everything you knew was based on a lie? Lies kept me guessing until the end. Each time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong. Lies was fast paced, good storytelling. One lie is never enough.

Can lies be deadly? Can lies ruin your life? Can lies be undone?

I think we know the answer to those questions, and Joe definitely knew the answer to two of these questions. His life was turned upside down because of lies his wife was telling him and lies that someone else was spreading about him.

Finding out your wife has been cheating on you for the past five months and then having to deal with what someone was doing to your life via social media is what Joe was dealing with.

How could this be happening and how could one person be orchestrating it alone. Someone had to be helping each other to bring Joe down.

LIES doesn't immediately pull you in, but once it does you won't be able to put the book down. The tension mounts with the turn of each page.

And…the ending...WOW!!

This is a must-read end-of-summer treat.

LIES will also have you considering canceling all of your social media accounts. 4/5

This book was given to me as an ARC. All opinions are my own.

Joe, his wife Mel, and their son are in for a shock, and you get to watch it all unravel. Lies are rampant in this page-turning novel. Joe is a likable English teacher who ends up in the right place and time, or maybe the wrong place and time. He finds himself in a situation with his wife’s best friend’s husband, and questions everything he thought he knew. There were a lot of elements in this book to keep you guessing and wanting more. I only put this book down when I really had to and I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Joe and his young son, William, inadvertently stumble into what appears to be an affair between Joe’s wife, Melissa and Ben.  Ben is the husband of one of Melissa’s long-term friends, Beth. The action begins early on in this thriller. Almost immediately, Joe thinks he has accidentally seriously injured Ben in a parking garage connected to the hotel where Ben just had a public meeting with Melissa.  Ben disappears and taunts Joe from a distance. The twists and turns do not stop. I can’t say a lot more without revealing too much.

Lies by T.M. Logan is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you turning pages until you find all of the clues to the mystery and put them together.  I must admit I did not figure the mystery out ahead of time, however, that did not stop me from wanting to bonk Joe on the head for being so thick-headed at times.  Even if thick-headed at times, I enjoyed Joe and continued to root for him throughout the entire novel. I will leave it to you to find out Joe’s fate.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this thriller.

Wow!!!!! Lies is certainly the kind of book that will keep you up late at night until you finish - and that's exactly what I did!
Joe and his young son spot his wife's car on the road and decide to follow her to surprise her - yet Joe is the one who ends up with an unpleasant surprise. He sees his wife arguing in a parking garage with Ben, her BFF's husband. What follows is a "nothing is ever the same" type of plot with so many twists and turns - right up until it crashes into the shocking conclusion.
Thank you to T.M. Logan, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC of this thrilling book!

I needed this book. It's been a while since I was left reeling with the twists and turns in a thriller. So many have been predicable as of late. Not this one. Although, like always, I should have seen it coming! Logan does a good job at distracting readers with a cloak we don't even see!

Told from Joe's point of view from start to finish, I was so lost in his story and turmoil, I though at one point I might be physically sick. Things were not looking so good. The story telling had me turning the pages from start to finish, waiting to see what was really going on.

Let me tell you, ignore all of the negative reviews. I don't care about the thinking that not every book is for every person. The last fourth of this book make any questionable likeness go right out the window. Ones the pieces start to fall in place, it's all downhill (or uphill) from there. Absolutely brilliant and riveting. I am looking forward to future books from this author!

3.5 out of 5
What would you do if all of a sudden the life you were living turned out to be built on lies . Nothing you thought was real turned out not . Meer Joe Lynch , six days ago he was living a good life , with a wonderful wife , good job a son . Until the day he say his wife heading to a hotel and having an argument with their best friend . After fighting Joe leaves the man bleeding and unconscious . But that doesn't end there, his world starts to unravel after the man disappears and suspicion lands squarely on Joe's shoulders . What he does now is to save his family but can he trust the woman he loves and will he survive the man she brought into their lives .
The first part of this book had me on the edge of my seat . You watch Joe start to loose his whole life slowly , you can't get enough. You want to make it so much better for them You watch his life unravel before your eyes . You start to think were is his best friend , did Joe kill him or is he just playing with them . Will Joe ever figure out if he is playing cat and mouse with Joe and his family. You really feel for Joe as he tries to unravel what is going on . One moment you want to hug him and the next min you want to scream at him to watch his back. There are moments though when Joe just seems naïve and you want to shake him. Mel, his wife is really kind of annoying . She just lies and lies . You really can't trust her from the very beginning . She treats Joe like dirt some of the time . Now Ben wow what can you say about Ben he is well lets just say he is evil and he needed to be gone .
This was a good read the first part of the book had me on the edge of me seat I couldn't put it down . Then it started going off in so many different directions it was hard to keep track of what was happening . I felt that some of the craziness that the author put the main character through could of been trimmed back just a little and it would of kept the story flowing better . Over all I truly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to someone that wants to have a good fall read . The twist in the end is worth it .

WOW! The phrase 'couldn't put it down' is used to death, but in this case it's absolutely true. The pacing of the writing is excellent bringing the reader from one shock to another as we try to unravel the mystery along with Joe. The characters are vivid and the story is wickedly suspenseful. I had my suspicions on some points but I dare anyone to figure it all out before the conclusion!

First of all, I’d like to thank NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Lies by T.M. Logan. In my opinion, this is probably the best psychological thriller that I’ve read in a very long time. This book was amazing and that’s putting it mildly. Right from the get go it’s a pure roller coaster ride with so many twists you can’t think about putting it down. It kept me guessing and totally on the edge. I find it hard to believe that this is the authors debut thriller. Honestly, after reading this, I know I’m a fan and will be reading everything this author writes. If you haven’t read it, you absolutely need to. I’m going to be recommending it to everyone! I have given it a 5 star rating but believe it deserves so much more. I think the author is going to find it very hard to write anything that will ever top this. It’s truly a great read!

Joe Lynch knows he has a good life. He has a beautiful wife, Mel, and a fantastic son, William. One day, while driving Wills home from school, he sees a car just like his wife’s turning into the parking garage of a major hotel. Wills insists they follow it. Once inside the garage, Joe parks close to his wife’s car and enters the hotel with Wills. There he finds his wife in a very heated discussion with the husband of one of her oldest and dearest friends, Ben. After unsuccessfully following and confronting his wife in the parking garage, Joe confronts Ben as he is leaving the hotel. The two men have a quick altercation, and Ben stumbles and falls unconscious. Though he knows he should try to help, Wills has chosen that very time to have a bad asthma attack, and Joe has to go home for an inhaler, since he does not have one. Later, he returns to the garage, but there is no sign of Ben or his car. That evening, when confronted about her meeting with Ben at the hotel, Mel explains that they had met to discuss a work problem Ben was having with an employee, asking Mel for a suggestion of what to do. Shortly thereafter, Ben’s wife arrives at their home to tell them she is worried because Ben has left with a shotgun and she has no idea where he is or what he intends. Later, she finds proof of a relationship between Ben and Mel. Joe’s life, as he knows it, has now begun to spin out of control. Quickly, he discovers lie after lie after lie by his wife and Ben, who also begins threatening Joe. As the story progresses, Joe becomes increasingly frustrated, and worried about his family and himself, as Ben’s threats become more ominous and stronger. In short, Joe becomes a man on the edge, not knowing what to do or where to turn, unable to figure things out, in a quickly unraveling life.

The book was different from most of the others I have read. Normally, I do not read this sort of book, because I do not really like it. However, this one took me in from the get-go. The early part of the book moves along smoothly and quickly, but it does begin to drag a bit in the middle, only to end up just fine. I thought Joe was a bit too naïve and trusting. He knew the truth about his wife’s and Ben’s meeting, but never did face it until Mel confessed what was really going on. Ben comes across as nasty and violent, even though he is a respectable member of society. This is a good book for a reader who enjoys being on the edge of his/her seat, who enjoys not being able to put the book down once involved in it. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

A terrific, fast paced thriller that kept me turning the pages. I was especially happy to be reading a thriller that didn't have an "unreliable narrator" as so many recent thrillers have. This book was about an everyday guy whose life is thrown upside down due to one small interaction he witnesses. In the short span of a week, his whole life changes. The story is very believable and the twist surprise ending really caught me off guard after I thought I had it figured all out...my very favorite type of ending!

Lies by T. M Logan gave me the willies….seriously the willies. From the first chapter to the last, I was held in it’s grip wondering how it could possibly end. I worried about the main character and his family. I wondered at how easily he was slowly being herded by a maniac. The social media aspect made the story extremely relevant to today and helped story’s power over the reader grow...and then the end happened. OH MY…

Joe, a family man, the main caretaker of their young son, William sees his wife’s car someplace he was not expected and decides to meet her there and surprise her. Only it is there, that the story takes its first turn and suddenly Joe is embroiled in a mystery. Ben is dead? Is gone? Is missing? And Joe is the prime everything. Every step seems to make things worse as he tries to find his way… and the social media certainly plays a large role in this story.

I liked Joe a great deal as the main character. I found him likable and trusting. Some of the other characters - not so much. The story took my breath away a couple of times with the incidences, but I really wanted to know the truth and I needed to keep reading. Lies by T.M. Logan was a good read.

Ben’s life was perfect…until that fateful Thursday evening. Suddenly, he finds himself questioning everything he knows and believes. Hounded by the police for a murder he didn’t commit and betrayed by the people he loved the most, he has no option left but to find out the truth himself.
While Lies is not as dark and twisty as I expected, it still makes for a good read. While the first half is thrilling and unputdown-able, the second half dragged a bit as Ben went round and round in circles and the lies piled up. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Lies by T. M. Logan is a recommended psychological thriller that features a tangle of lies to uncover.

Joe Lynch and his 4-year-old son, William, are heading home when William sees his mother's car. Joe assumes his wife, Mel, is meeting a client, but impulsively decides to follow her so the two can say hello. When they enter the Premier Inn, instead of a client they see Mel in the hotel bar, arguing with her best friend's husband, Ben Delaney. Joe hustle's William back out to the parking garage where they wait for Mel, but she leaves quickly without seeing them, so Joe confronts Ben, who begins pushing him. Joe pushes back, and Ben falls. Before he can summon help, William has an asthma attack and he decides to get help for his son. When he checks back later, Ben is gone, so Joe is assuming he is fine.

But later when he asks Mel about the meeting, she lies. Later she admits it, but lies again. And then it appears that Ben is now taunting Joe and trying to cause trouble, but Ben has disappeared, leaving his wife behind. From this point on the novel is a tangled web of people continuously lying, and amending their lies to new lies, and then changing those lies. Let's just say everyone is lying all the time, you can't trust anyone, and one of these liars is trying to ruin Joe’s life.

The narrative in Lies covers an eight day period when Joe's world is turned upside down and he must uncover the truth. It is certainly a twisting tale of deceit and has an addictive start. After that it also becomes a tad bit slow-moving and the lies aren't as shocking as they continue. Once you realize there has been one big lie, and then that morphs in to another big lie and then... Well, most people, even the most trusting of souls, would have an inkling about the lies long before the first one is told.

Joe is an appealing character and you will be rooting for him. He is a good father and devoted spouse. Logan does an excellent job capturing the emotional roller coaster Joe is going through while trying to find the truth. However, I couldn't help but think as the plot unfolded that Joe should have picked up on a few more clues along the way and noticed what was happening so the current situation wouldn't be quite as shocking as it is for him.
