This book is great! Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

T. M. Logan has succeeded again in keeping me on the edge of my seat with this new release, Lies. I read it in 48 hours or so and I did not see the twist at the end of the book coming!

This was a pretty good story. It kept me engaged, even though many scenarios seemed beyond the realm of believability, at least for me. The narrator/main character continued to make choices that were not just impulsive and self-sabotaging but downright dumb. It was quite frustrating to know all along he was being played, even though I couldn't quite figure out by whom. The ending was surprising and at the same time upsetting since it seemed to come out of nowhere and didn't really make a lot of sense. There wasn't a lot of meat to substantiate the backstory for the reveal. Oh well, the writing was decent. I highlighted a few descriptive passages that gave me pause.

I struggled with this one. While other readers loved this, I found it nothing more than mediocre at best. I was not on the edge of my seat or tearing through this to find out what was happening. It felt predictable and unsurprising. The start of the story had promise but when it reached the 30% mark, the pacing slowed to a snail's pace. For a book that is nearly 500 pages, that's not good. I was bored, flipping pages hoping things would get better. (HINT: It didn't.) The ending felt rushed and unresolved. I was not a fan of this story and would not recommend.

Joe turning into a hotel parking garage after spotting his wife's car, intending to surprise her and let their young son show her the award he got at school that morning. Within minutes he's let another man unconscious and bloody in the parking lot and his life is beginning to unravel. I liked that the entire book is told fist person from Joe's point of view, with no jumping back and forth in time. From the moment he follows his wife into the parking garage, the plot is moving forward. It bogged down for me a bit in the middle, just as I think things were supposed to be escalating for the reader, but overall it was an enjoyable read.

Do I suck and took two years to review this? Yes. However, I ultimately ended up listening to the audiobook, which was entertaining. Overall, I did enjoy Lies by TM Logan - I am always a fan of thrillers or whodunnits, where I am trying to be a detective and figure out the mystery along with the main character.

However, this books just went slightly too far into the unbelievable. To be fair, I did not see the end coming - at all. But once it was explained, I was like...huh? Even when all the details and plot points were explained, it seemed to come out of nowhere and made no sense to me.

Overall, I enjoyed the suspense, the characters, and the various twists. The ending was just a stretch too far for me.

My first book by T.M. Logan and I’ve already downloaded another.

This had me hooked from the outset, so much so I devoured the book in one day. So many twists to keep your attention.

The ending was a little unrealistic but if you go with the flow of the book it doesn’t spoil your enjoyment.

Good twisty suspense that really did leave me guessing until the end. I thought I had it all figured out but I wasn't even close. Will definitely be reading more by Logan!

I read this book a while back, and while I don't remember the plot or resolution, I remember I did enjoy it, and would recommend it for thriller/mystery fans. Thank you to the publisher.

I first discovered Mr. Logan's writing in 29 Seconds and I jumped all over being able to read this book because I knew based on my experience he would write a story that's gripping in its intensity and I was right!! This book starts off with a normal day for Joe but it ends in a horrible way and he's not sure what to make of everything that's taken place...

There's secrets and twists and turns in this thriller that I absolutely did not see coming and I had no idea how it was going to end which to me means it's a perfect psychological story... and let me just tell you, the ending had me wide eyed. This book really explores what we consider truths and lies and Mr. Logan did a phenomenal job of bringing all the minute details together for a fabulous read!!

A great debut book from T.M. Logan. I couldn't put it down, reading it in two days! The writing was so enticing it kept me going. This is an easy read, gripping in parts and builds nicely. A typical psychological thriller that kept my interest throughout the book.

One down side - Facebook is mentioned far too much. It felt like it was mentioned on every page.

If I could only use one word to describe this book it would be WOW! I honestly did not expect the way the book twisted in the end. This is an edge of your seat kind of book

Joe finds himself in a precarious situation when he sees his wife arguing with another man who suddenly disappears. All suspicion falls on Joe and it's up to him to determine the truth.
Why is his wife talking another man and what happened?

I usually love T.M. Logan's books but I felt that this one fell short of his intended purpose. There is very little backstory on the characters, so it makes them a little underdeveloped in the reader's mind. The police investigation has many unbelievable errors almost giving the novel a "Scooby Doo" type feeling instead of a thriller vibe. The ending seemed to be sloppily tied together and left some questions unanswered. The plot was simply ok and the plot twist made reading the book bearable.

3 stars.

A fast-paced, gripping, tension filled story!

Joe Lynch and his four-year-old son are driving home when they notice his wife’s car entering the parking lot of a local hotel. Assuming she is there for business, they decide to surprise her and quickly stop by to say hi. What Joe discovers when he finds his wife at the hotel will forever change his life.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed his writing. The suspense and worry gripped me from the start and I felt the tension seeping off of every page. I loved being in Joe’s mind and thought his character was done extremely well. I felt for him and was rooting for him.

Up to the 80% mark, there were a few far-fetched plot points I was happy to overlook because the writing and storyline was so engrossing and suspenseful. However, after the 80% point, the plot became highly unrealistic and I lost my investment in the story and characters. I was still interested to see exactly how things would play out, but my connection was completely gone. Too bad — I hate when that happens! I’d happily read more from this author as I truly enjoyed his writing. It just came down to the final plot points that ruined this one for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for my review copy!

Oh my goodness. Just when you think you have this book figured out it gives you another twist. It was a great book with an ending that I didn't expect.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I don't have the time to read this book anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, I am having trouble getting through this book. I was really intrigued by the book synopsis, however, it is falling flat for me. I unfortunately had to DNF this book before I got to the end.

was unable to read because of a family loss. I am a serious reader though and would love to be considered for more netgalley ARCs. I will review every one that I am allowed to.
Thank you

Enjoyed this one! Give me all the lies! Secrets. Betrayal. Yep, this one has it all! I did want the main character to wake up and open his eyes a few times throughout the story. I mean seriously, buddy! The ending was slightly predictable, but maybe because I devour books like this.

The blurb drew me in and I was excited to read this one. I figured out the ending fairly quickly but finished the book anyway. Still a good thriller, if not somewhat predictable.

(Sorry for the so late review, I’m finally getting through my backlog of books)
