Great fiction book on friends and family when they have found there are lies. A game of lying between college friends takes twists and turns when they grow older and need each other. A text goes out requesting the help of the four girls to find out that the game has changed and now there is lying between the friends. So what happens next? And who is telling the truth?

Lies by T.M. Logan is FANTASTIC! I was captivated from start to finish and definitely did not want to put this book down. The twist at the end caught me completely off-guard! Definite must read for psychological thriller lovers. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Joe and Mel Lynch appear to be a happily married couple, raising their young son in their modest but comfortable home. Mel is the main breadwinner in a modern twist, and Joe works part time and is the main care giver of their young child. One ordinary day when Joe is driving his son William home, William just by chance spots Mel's car on the road and wants to surprise his mommy. Joe follows in his car, but it is he who ends up being surprised by what he sees.
This was an intriguing and twisty family drama/thriller about a man who slowly unravels the lies he's been believing about his happy marriage. There were a few points in the story that I could not help but think he was a bit more gullible than the average man would probably be, but his trusting nature was pertinent to the story line. I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this book and I loved that it was written from a male perspective. It was very fast paced at the beginning but unfortunately slowed down a bit at the end, but I still was invested in the story. The chapters were short which I thought really helped to keep the reader engaged.

Overall I gave this book ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️/5 if you like a book that will keep you guessing you should pick this up!

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press & T.M. Logan for the opportunity to read this advanced digital copy.

Buckle up your seatbelts folks, because there are more twists and turns in this book than one would expect!

If only William hadn't spotted his mum's car that fateful afternoon, or Joe hadn't then followed her into the hotel parking deck.

What follows is a psychologically thrilling plot that keeps spiraling out of Joe's control. I did at times get frustrated with his seemingly missing backbone but I just had to keep reading to find out how he was going to extricate himself from this mess.

I am being purposefully vague about the plot because I believe the less you know, the more surprised you will be by the book's several twists. A wonderful debut thriller and I look forward to more books by T.M. Logan!

I kept hearing about this book and seeing it all over Facebook so I just had to read it , see what all the fuss was about. And I was not disappointed ! Really, really good book. Lots of lies, lots of liars, hard to know who is telling the truth ? Is anyone ? Even though you think you know what's going on, you don't. The ending , Wow ! That's all I have to say ! WOW !!!! Can't say anything more , don't want to give anything away. Get the book, see if you can figure it out !

Wow, I didn’t see that coming at all! Do yourself a favor and try to go as blind, as possible, into this one. I think you will get a bigger kick out of it the less you know. It happened that way for me anyway.

This story isn’t too long. I devoured it in one lazy day. It is impossible to really say much without giving anything away. To me, some of the concepts in it are very modern and some maybe a bit outdated. It was a funny mix but I would recommend it and read more by this author.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and St. Martin’s Press for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I don't give many books 5 stars. But this one? It grabbed ahold from the very beginning. HARD. And it didn't let go until the very end. I was just going to take a quick peek because I had other books I planned to read first (because their pub dates are coming up sooner), but I couldn't stop reading once I started. All I wanted to do was read the book and forget about everything else.

I had to find out what was going on, and I really felt for Joe as his entire life tumbled down around him. Up until that moment, he'd thought everything was perfect - a gorgeous wife of almost 10 years, a son he adored, a job he didn't mind...

I did not see that ending coming.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC. I loved it! (and now want to read everything T.M. Logan writes)

What would you do if your entire life was covered by lies?

Oh.. Joseph Lynch... how naive you truly were. But, then again... I feel like we've all been there at one point or another in our lives. THAT moment when you see or know something that you would kill not too and your heart and gut just drop.... you act like it's nothing and yet it continues to haunt you day by day.

Joe Lynch was driving in his car with his son Will and they spotted his wife's blue in traffic. Will kept asking for Joe to follow mommy... and as we all would be intrigued why wouldn't you? But, ONE decision turns Joe's world upside down.

Our lives are so fragile... especially when one lie after another continues to blow you in the face.

I wouldn't say I had the entire story figured out but I picked up on very quickly who was the character that was most guilty and frequently lying. It was pretty obvious to me... and felt the story dragged on a bit in the middle. There were some minor twists/surprises at the end which I wasn't expecting. But, my detective skills didn't steer me wrong! :)

This was a mediocre thriller for me. I was entertained and would be interested to see what T.M Logan has up his sleeve next.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest thoughts.

"Lies" by T.M Logan is about a family with many secrets. These secrets are based on lies...but what happens when the truth finally comes out? Joe Lynch is driving with his 4 year old son, William, and William sees his Mum at a hotel. She should be at work. Joe finds her in an argument with a friend of the family, Ben. When Joe confronts Ben, they argue. The problem is, Ben is knocked unconscious, and Joe could be the last person to see him before he disappears. Then Joe starts receiving cryptic messages, and his wife confesses things to Joe he just can't imagine. The police are investigating Joe in the disappearance of Ben, but Joe swears he is being set up by Ben himself. When the truth finally comes out, you will be blown away!

I really enjoyed this book. I found it difficult to put down at times, wanting to find out what was going to happen next. There were so many theories, it was difficult to understand what was true and what wasn't. The findings of the police were pretty convincing that something was done to Ben, and you really don't know Joe's involvement until the very end.

I would like to thank Netgalley, T.M. Logan and the Publisher Twenty7 for an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.

Lies by T.M. Logan grabbed my attention from the first pages as Joe and his son, Will are running errands in the car. The dialogue between father and son is so cute, yet realistic. Will happens to see his mother’s car and Joe impulsively decides to follow her. The choice he makes that day has his life spinning out of control… is his wife cheating on him with their friend, Ben? Did Ben set him up so that he is out of the picture? Why was Melissa really at the hotel with Ben?

Written from Joe’s perspective, I found myself not just drawn into the story, but deeply relating to the average, everyday trusting nature of Joe. Author Logan has a way of grabbing your attention and holding it through every page…every plot twist… and every new obstacle Joe faces in his fight for his freedom and his life. The characters are believable, the fear mounts, and the fast pace kept me on the edge of my seat desperately wanting to know what happens next!!

Lies, secrets, betrayals all layered so exquisitely that Joe has a hard time figuring out what steps to take next. I suggest you grab this book and start reading it when you won’t be interrupted. I did not see the surprise ending coming at all! (Love it when that happens!!! Good job, Logan on your debut thriller!! I believe it will be well loved! )

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advanced reader copy for me to review. As always, my opinions are my own.

This jaw-dropping novel by T.M. Logan puts a new spin on the word "thriller."
Yes, there's a murder, lies, unanswered questions and mystery to solve. But the way Logan sketches the plot out slowly in the form of the main character Joe Lynch when he randomly sees his wife go into a hotel parking lot. As Joe follows, and discovers her in the middle of an argument with a man Joe knows all to well, he has to question if everything he knows about himself, his wife and his apparent happy marriage is real.

When we think that we have discovered the truth, Logan delivers the final blow that will leave readers' head spinning.

The last 10% of that book just blew me out of the water. I don't know if I am just that dense or if it was just that well written. I didn't see the ending coming, but it didn't disappoint in the slightest.

Lies follows the story of Joe. A simple man, a teacher, someone who follows life living his day to day the same way he always has. That is until one decision changed the course of his life forever, a decision made by his little boy and not himself. You wouldn't think such a small decision, one to follow his wife so that William can show off his new award, would change much; however, it changes everything.

The dynamic was set up in such a way, that just like our main character, I followed along eating it up. Thinking how genius it was to set him up in such a way, wondering if it was just that he was an unreliable narrator and I was trusting the wrong person. It was such a fantastically written novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from the word go. One thing that I greatly appreciated was that the chapters were short. I was able to fly through many of them and also find easy stops when I needed to. I don't really have much to complain about and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future, especially if it is anything close to this one.

Lies by TM Logan is a interesting and timely thriller. Joe is on the way home with his young son when his son spots his mom's car. Joe sees his wife, Mel, pull into the parking garage of a hotel. Curious, of course, he follows her into the hotel and sees her in a heated argument with Ben. Ben is married to Mel's childhood friend, Beth. What are they arguing about? Joe cannot come up with a reasonable explanation. I don't want to go too far into the plot because I could ruin it. However, Ben goes missing and all signs point to Joe as the suspect., Someone is doing a bang up job of setting Joe up for Ben's disappearance/murder? No matter what Joe does to find Ben and clear his name he looks more and more guilty to the police. This was a fast paced thriller and easy to read. Every chapter ended with me saying, "ok, I'll just read ONE more chapter and then I'll put it down!". The use of Facebook posts and text messages was a fun addition to this book. Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of the ARC of Lies in exchange for an honest review.

Joe Lynch espies his wife in a heated debate with their friend Ben at a hotel restaurant after his son sees mommy’s car and they follow her to say hi. After she leaves too quickly to follow, Joe confronts Ben, who laughs off his suspicions. His wife explains away the argument as Ben’s obsession with her; then Ben disappears. Suddenly, Joe is being framed for Ben’s murder, seemingly by Ben himself, so that Joe must find the purposely evasive man to clear his name.

Logan deftly weaves in and out of the fast lane, with Joe’s wife Mel explaining away everything that Joe uncovers, to allay his fears until the next bombshell. The scene of resolution contains the dreaded trope of criminal shows, where the villain’s motivation and MO are thoroughly laid out—by the villain. The reveal explains questionable character actions that should have been questioned by Joe, but weren’t. All in all, the biggest bombshell will expose some readers’ unintended biases, and that’s okay. It’s good to shine the light into the nooks and crannies that seemed of no concern before, as uncomfortable as that can be, in order to become a better person. This book is a fast, fun read, and not soon to be forgotten. I was fortunate to receive an early copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

I posted this review to my blog, shared on Goodreads, Facebook, and Twitter, and will post to B&N on launch.

It's a bit of a soap opera start but what grabs you is that this could happen to anyone. Very plausible when you consider all the overzealous prosecutors/detectives out there. Plus, you're never sure whether the main character has really been framed; if so, will ultimately be exonerated, or- did he actually do it!- Seems like every character in this book is lying or betraying somebody.

Joe Lynch thinks his life is perfect until one day he is in the car with his son and his son sees mommy’s car. They follow her so they can say hi. Joe ends up seeing his wife in a hotel with a friend of his and they are exchanging angry words. His wife’s explanations ring hollow to him.
What happens from there changes his life forever. Who can he believe? Everything seems to be a lie. He can’t trust anyone.

I originally loved the plot and the story kept me wanting to read but so much fell flat with me. For instance, the drama starts because a husband sees his wife's car at a hotel while driving by with his 4 yr old child. He assumes its a business meeting. His child wants to see his mum and he agrees. What mother would want their husband and child suddenly appear at a business meeting with clients? What kind of husband would think thats a great idea? Oh, and pro advice? If your lawyer thinks youre guilty, get a new lawyer.

That said, its still a good read. Just some things had me rolling my eyes.

And unfortunately for me I saw the ending coming for awhile. But still, I would recommend it.
