I received an electronic copy of this book from NetGalley.

Joe is happily married to the love of his life, raising their 4-year-old son Will, and then it all falls apart when he sees his wife Mel going into a hotel and having a heated argument with a friend named Ben, who subsequently disappears. The police suspect foul play, and Joe is a person of interest in the disappearance.

The action ramps up to breakneck speed as Joe tries to find Ben to clear himself of suspicion. Then he stumbles upon revelations that threaten to shatter his world. But all is not as it seems, and then the plot twist to end all plot twists presents itself. I don't want to say anything more than that. Spoilers, you know.

Just don't start reading this book late at night. You'll stay up way past your bedtime. I guarantee it.

MTold in first person, this story has so many twists and turns it will leave you breathless!

Joe Lynch is a school teacher, husband and father. His life is pretty near perfect- until it isn’t.

A single event changes Joe’s safe, secure world forever and nothing will ever be the same again.

Faced with a murder charge on a crime he didn’t commit, the possible adulterous activities of his wife-the woman he thought he knew so well-Joe is forced into the car and mouse game of his life.

There’s a surprise twist at the end I guarantee you won’t see coming, and so much suspense it’s almost impossible to set the book down.

I give Lies 5+ lovely kisses- a must read!

Outsanding. I finished it in one day (audio version). The characters were very well done and the interaction was right on. The plot was fantastic. It was like a Hitchcock story. Never sure what will happen next and the end is a real shocker.

William is a absolutely adorable little boy and gives some release from the tension of the story. The writer incorporated a lot of tech with the cell phones and it is all very believable.
Like a hungry puppy Joe followed the crumbs. His search for Ben getting more confusing as he tried to find him.
When the cops get involved Joe has to convince them that Ben is just messing with him to get even.
Joe's wife, Mel, wants to understand his obsession with finding Ben, but she has her own lies to hide.
This is so skillfully crafted that I didn't catch on till the last. I love mysteries and this is one of the best I have read in a long time.

Thank you NetGalley for the preview copy I really loved it.

Thanks so much, Net Galley, or a chance to read and review Lies.
I was drawn in from the beginning....
Joe just saw his wife with another man, her best friend's husband, Ben.
There is an accident and Ben disappears. Suddenly, Joe finds himself a suspect....for murder!
That's just the beginning of this twisty tale.
Lies, where do they begin....where do they end? I think this could be my best read this year. Check it out!

I absolutely loved this book !! How have I not read this author before ?

Lies was a roller coaster of a ride as Joe's whole life changes the day he follows his wife's car.

You will look at your cell phone suspiciously after this read.

Lots of things happening as you just want Joe to come out ahead.

Didn't see that ending coming.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book

Joe is married to his wife Mel and together they have a young son named William. They all seem happy with their life until one day Joe and his son see Mel out and decide to follow her so that they can surprise her. That decision ultimately leads to a whole chain of events unfolding that will forever change the lives of everyone involved. I was instantly hooked from the very first sentence and this entire book had me questioning every character and trying to figure out what was really going on. This was a twisty story that will leave readers guessing what is truly happening up till the very end. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Joe has a wife and a 4 year old son and he loves both dearly. He's a high school teacher and is happy with his job and the fact that he's the primary caretaker of his son, due to his wife's more demanding job. His life explodes when he sees his wife with a long time friend and realizes that they might be having an affair. Almost immediately things start falling apart for Joe, as he get threatening messages from Ben, the man his wife might be having an affair with, while this same man has disappeared and Joe is being suspected by the police, of having killed Ben.

Joe's wife, Mel, admits the affair and even though she says she is very sorry for all that has happened, Joe doesn not trust her anymore. He wonders if she plays a part in all that is going on. He can trust no one, as his friends abandon him due to his connection to what has happened and he is suspended from his job. The police have a growing pile of evidence against him and Joe realizes that he's going to have to find a way to bring Ben out in the open, proving that Joe hasn't killed Ben.

I really enjoyed this book. One of my suspicions was correct but another part of the mystery surprised me. The tension was high with all of this happening in less than a week and a half. Joe's life crumbled around him and proving his innocence seemed impossible unless he could prove Ben was alive. Very good read and I thank St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

Great page turner. The ending of each chapter left me hungry for more. It's the story of a husband and father whose world is turned upside down by an unexpected meeting. The use of technology and social media is creatively orchestrated by the story's villain. And the twist at the end? Never saw it coming!

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Joe is an easygoing grade school teacher, very much in love with his wife, Mel, and their 4-year-old son. One day after Joe picks up his son from day care/pre-school, his son points out “Mummy’s car” just on the other side of the road. When Joe realizes that his son is correct, and that his wife is unexpectedly just around the corner, they decide to do a spur of the moment surprise for her. Unfortunately, the surprise is on Joe---and when he discovers his wife hasn’t exactly been honest with him about her whereabouts and activities, the lies start to spiral to the point where Joe’s left not knowing who he can really trust. This book is fast-paced, and although at times I wanted to yell at Joe to think smarter, considering everything going on in the book I have to admit he’s probably doing the best he can. This is the first book I’ve read by TM Logan, but it won’t be the last.

I really liked this book. It started a little slow for me, but I was a bit distracted because I've been working a lot. So, that could be the reason. I soon became enthralled and looked forward to reading more every night after work. I honestly thought I had it figured out...but, no! I wasn't expecting the ending and I like that very much in a book. The characters were well-developed and I connected with each character. Thank you so much for letting me read this book. I will watch for more from this author!

Wow, I was hooked and couldn't put this book down. It was intense and full of twists. Joe, the main character, was trusting and naive; but in the end, truth won out.

Lies is a true masterpiece! I loved every twist and turn through out the book and let me tell you the ending you will not believe !! I never guessed what happened, the entire time I was being misdirected and I loved every second of it !!!

I love a mystery where I think I’ve figured it out only to find out I’ll wrong. This is a great captivating read but don’t make assumptions about what’s happening in the plot. You will probably be wrong too. Highly recommended for a weekend on the beach.

I really enjoyed this book, and I was immediately pulled into it from the first chapter. This book was full of suspense, and an ending I didn’t see coming. It was refreshing and a nice change of pace to read a suspense book where the main character was male, since the majority of books in this genre that I have read this year were written through female perspectives. This is a fast-paced novel that doesn’t slow down it’s pace from beginning to end.

I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What began as an innocent sighting of his wife's car by their son, turned into more and more questions.

In the space of a week Joe's life unravels. Everything he thought  had been a lie. Joe is happy with his wife and child and he loves teaching. And he thought his wife was happy as well.

But lies are like loose threads on a sweater. Pull one and the rest quickly come out. And Joe's entire marriage has been a lie.

I felt so sorry for Joe and Will. And I was left with a lot of questions. How well can we know and trust someone? Even your spouse?

This was a good, twisty and unexpected ending. I enjoyed every bit of it!

I recieved this book from Netgalley and I am now writing a fair and honest review.

I loved this book. The action and suspense started on page one and never stopped. It was hard to put down because of all the amazing twists and turns. There were a few parts that a little elaboration would help, also a few parts that were run of the mill suspense/thriller scenarios but overall, a wonderful read!

I must say I read through this 432-page baby in NO TIME!! I started it last night and finished it today. It was all I could think about, I had to know what would happen next 😍

I hadn’t read the synopsis (or at least I didn’t know anything about the story going into it), so I went in head first, completely oblivious to what was coming my way. I must say I was most definitely not disappointed 🙌🏼

In Lies, we follow Joe, an English teacher who is married to Melissa. They have a little boy, William, who is 4 years old. One day, as Joe drives home, William spots his mom’s car and they both decide to surprise her. So, they follow her as she drives to a hotel parking lot. Then, they spot her as she meets with a man, a very suspicious interaction that makes Joe start to question everything and causes everything around him to fall apart.

This story doesn’t go where you expect it to, not in the slightest. And that’s what I loved about it. I had never read a book with a plot line such as the one in Lies, it felt rather refreshing. It’s a domestic thriller, but through the eyes of a man, unlike what usually happens, and it goes places I never even dreamed it would.

As the title suggests, this whole book is based on lies and secrets, which makes for a read that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out what happened and the author keeps throwing revelations at you. You’re constantly finding out new things – it’s absolutely addicting, I could not put this book down! 😋

Since this is built upon lies, I had a ton of theories throughout the book. I took notes and highlighted stuff every time someone said something that didn’t make sense or that seemed suspicious. I wasn’t even remotely right for the most part, and I love that. I love when books aren’t predictable and keep surprising me 👌🏼 I was playing detective the whole time, which is something I love 🕵🏻‍♀️

Although this is well over 400 pages long, it doesn’t feel slow at all – there’s just a LOT of things happening 😅 There isn’t a very extensive list of characters, which is great because you’re not confused all the time. What there is is a whole lot of unexpected twists and turns – as well as inevitable situations – that keep coming at you the whole time, making this a very rich book. The main plot twist really messed with my head. I did not see that coming whatsoever, I could not believe what I was reading! 😲 It reminded me of The Wife Between Us because, although the plot twist is not even similar, I also didn’t see this one coming and I had to go back and re-read it, to make sure I was seeing right 😅

I kept saying on Goodreads that I was stressed whilst reading this. You have no idea!! I literally had to pause my reading several times because I was getting so anxious and aggravated 😨 This book has a lot of injustice in it, and that’s something that really irks me, especially when there’s literally nothing you can do about it. God, this was so damn stressful 😩 – but so worth it!!

Overall, this is a fast-paced book with an intricate and well-constructed plot that makes for a great and engaging read – especially after a bombastic plot twist!

★★★★☆ 4.5/5 stars

There are times in life when it just seems like the bad guys always get away with everything! That is clearly how I began to feel early on while reading “Lies.” Joe had what he thought was a great, if somewhat boring life with his wife and young son, that is, until he accidentally saw her arguing with the husband of her best friend in a hotel lobby. It wasn’t long before Joe’s life was anything but bland as he was finds himself being perfectly framed for murder. Logan had me wondering if Joe’s ex-lover was truly that devious or if his wife was an exquisite liar. However, I never saw that ending coming.

"I often wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t seen her car that day…" (Prologue in Lies)

This was a super fast paced, heart pumping, adrenaline rush of a book. I loved it! Twists, traps, bumps, 100 mile an hour turns...I started to feel like I was going crazy right along with Joe as I was reading this because I couldn't believe any character in this book!

I give it 5 stars!

I absolutely loved this book, stayed up all night. It had non-stop something going on. Right from the beginning and it didn't let up.

The main character Joe is so lovable. His love for his wife and son, just his whole demeanor. His wife on the other hand is a mess. This book isn't what you're thinking, at least it wasn't no where what I was thinking. You think you know what is going on and nope wrong. Some twists added and the end nope I was wrong again. This book is almost 500 pages but it is non-stop and keeps your attention not to mention interested. One of those books where you have to find out what happens. When you think you know who is "guilty" wrong....

This book flows very easily and I love the writing. I would love to read more by T.M. Logan.

Thank you Net Gallery and St. Martins Press for this awesome read.
