Jill wanted steady relationship and when she was ready for online dating she didn’t know what to expect except her date didn’t show up. So she decided to live the moment start a conversation with a stranger and that leads to unforgettable one night stand.
Jill’s roommate and a best friend was waiting for. new roommate. but she didn’t expect for her one night stand to show up. it made the whole situation awkward for Jill. She never knew his name or where he was from, never thought she will meet him again,
Now they are roomies and both doesn’t want her other roomies to find out about their one night stand.
Lucas just floats around and he enjoys traveling and not ready to settle down.
They do have chemistry but is it enough to keep their past behind.

i would give 3 1/2⭐️⭐️⭐️

thanks to netgalley for my ARC in exchange for honest review.

I was super excited to read a new book by Noelle Adams. And a start to a new series too!
Jill and Lucas have a one night stand, only to then ind out they are now going to be roommates. I loved this set up. Lucas has some hidden past that he doesn't want to share, Because of it, he is closed off to relationships. He has strong feelings for Jill, growing stronger everyday they send time together.

Jill wants everything that Lucas can not offer her. Can she change his mind or just be friends with him?

This was a cute story. I liked Jill and Lucas although both seem a little immature at times. Love their chemistry and story development, a little disappointed with some of Lucas's actions but overall a good read.

Adams never shies away from the emotional. Her characters are human. Flawed learning to be fearless. Living with Her One - Night Stand is about need. What started as a chance encounter, becomes a life changing moment for two souls searching. Lucas is learning to live again after an upset in his life. Jill needs her fantasies to help her deal with a sometimes unkind reality. Each is looking for solace and end up finding salvation. Hope is what gives the capacity for love and that's what makes us human. Jill and Lucas will have readers swimming in emotions and loving every lap.

I cannot believe this is the first book in the series. I felt like the characters were already established, but that wasn't a bad thing. It's a bonus because now I will get to read the stories of all the characters I liked. The book was good. I am not giving it 5 stars because I felt like Jill and Lucas's relationship wasn't in the spotlight as much as it should have been. Jill dates another man for quite some time and that ruined the plans for me and Lucas. Lucas is a stubborn man, but then so is she. He doesn't want any kind of commitment and she wants her happily ever after. Lucas is the kind of man who once went for the happily ever after, but a bam happened and now he lives a care and commitment-free life. I understood why he lived like that and I liked how much his character developed. The story was good and mostly to my liking. The main characters have chemistry and I liked how their relationship developed. The angst wasn't much and overall is a story many of you will enjoy.

This feels like a very honest accounting of how one man chose to deal with a traumatic event in his life and how he found one woman with a big heart, but also big dreams for her life. It shows the reader how they learn to love and share and open up to one another. It begins with them sharing their bodies and ends with them sharing their stories and finally their lives. I love Noelle Adams and think she is so talented. This is just another example of why.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Jill left her roommates arguing and ran down t the to the tea shop- Tea For 2- that was under her apartment. Jill was meeting for the first time someone she had met online at a local bar. This was something Jill had never done before. The bar was about a half mile from the apartment to wait for her date. She saw two men at the bar- one was to old and one too good looking to be her date that she had communicated with from the app. Jill had been in a relationship with Ted for four years she had even moved here with him when he went to grad school. But after she had worked and put Ted through school when he graduated he dumped Jill. It had been a year now and Jill was ready for someone new. Jill was twenty six and had only the one serious relationship- with Ted- in her life. Jill had met Ted her last year of college and they had only been dating five months when she had agreed to follow him here. But she has a new job now and is ready for a new man. But the blind date never showed and the handsome moved closer and they had started to talk. Usually Jill was awkward and stiff when it came to dating or even talking to men. Jill said during their conversation that she follows the herd when its going somewhere she wants to go otherwise she lets it pass by. Mostly Jill hangs out with the nerdy types as they were usually as socially awkward as she was. The man admitted he had sex without commitment as he wasn’t into commitments any more. At one time he had spent most of his life doing what everyone else did. He played sports, got good grades at school and went to a local college. Then he got a good but boring job as a CPA and he then brought a house in the same neighborhood as his parents and got engaged to Carly. But his life was vanilla. He did what everyone expected him too. He worked hard every day and followed the rules. But then BAM he found the world he was living in wasn’t the world he wanted. It changed everything so he quit his job, sold his house, and broke his engagement. Then he started to live his life differently, not doing what anyone expected him to do. Just doing what he felt like doing at any given moment. He didn’t fight the current anymore he rode the tide, he did work at tax time but Lucas- the man- wasn’t going into any office everyday. He wasn’t going to make promises to women he wasn’t sure he could follow through on. Jill then said they were in opposite motion in that she was looking for roots, for stability whereas he was trying to tear his roots out of the ground. Then Lucas suggests Jill live for the moment and she decided to go ahead and have a one night stand with a guy that she didn't even know his name and would never see again. Lucas had not planned to talk to Jill or take her back to his hotel room but she had been interesting. Pretty, and genuine. Then the sudden unnerving emotional connection they’de experienced had really moved him. Lucas was relocating to Blacksburg and was moving right into his apartment the next day. But when Jill had asked he had said he was staying the one night meaning the hotel, not the place. Lucas had come to Blacksburg for another new start one of a series of new starts he had made for himself in the last two years. Jills clothes, makeup, her whole manner was unique, original, full of personality. Jill had seen on his back a large scar and asked him about it as she got ready to leave as he woke up and he said it was a scar he got from being a good boy. Jill woke up early th4e next morning and was glad she had went with him even though she didn’t know his name and would never see him again. Michele and chloe were Jills best friends they had all been roommates until Chloe lost her job and went back home to live at her parents. Steve was Michelle’s boyfriend and they fought a lot. Then they had a new roommate coming to live with them, he was a guy Steve had known at college and his name was Lucas and he was a nice guy. Jill like to feel comfortable and settled. Then the new roommate appeared and it was the guy- mhe was Lucas the man Jill had spent the night with. Lucas decided to let Jill lead the way and she acted like she had never met him and Lucas followed her lead. Jill had been avoiding Lucas for about a week going to her room right after work instead of hanging out with her roommates as she used to do. One evening when Jill got home from work Lucas and jill decided to try to be friends and even though Lucas wanted her in his bed again he told Jill he wouldn’t touch her unless she wanted him too.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a roller coaster ride, but a quick, easy fun read. I loved the pace and flow. I never had a problem with my attention from the first until the last page of this book. I loved how there was the insta lust but the story built up to a beautiful romance. I was so happy Lucas and Jill got their HEA. I loved Jill and Lucas together. I loved how Michelle. Chloe, and Jill were so close and there for each other. I felt bad for Michelle and Steve as if I were there with them all. I also really loved when Lucas reached out for his family and they were so happy to be there for him. This was a book I happily read in one setting. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend

Living With Her One-Night Stand is the first in a new series. Apparently it is a spin-off of the Tea for Two series, but I didn't feel like I had to have read that one to enjoy this book. It holds up well as a stand alone. Jill decides on a whim to have a one night stand with a guy who seems to be in town for a visit. To her surprise, he ends up being her new roommate, Lucas. Now they have to love with each other and stay away from each other..

For the most part, I liked the story. I have to admit to being a little underwhelmed by the attraction between Lucas and Jill at first. I just didn't feel it. However, I did like that they ended up becoming friends without the sex getting in the way. It made the relationship more believable later on. I loved that Jill knew what she wanted and stuck to her guns when it came to Lucas. In fact, I was cheering Jill on when she told Lucas to finally let her go if he couldn't give her what she wanted. Lucas had a of baggage and stuff to work through before he was ready to be her forever.
His "bam" was not what I was expecting, but explained a lot.

I don't know whose story will be next. I'd be interested to see if Michelle and Steve's relationship can be salvaged, but I don't hold out too much hope. This is a quick read and one worth giving a shot.

Cute story, I liked how Jill stepped out of her comfort zone the night she met Lucas. I found it easy to relate to her feelings of wanting to plant roots somewhere, given the way she was raised. Lucas has that wandering spirit thing happening for him, but he didn't come by it naturally. He's got his reason for living a semi-nomadic lifestyle, or he did until he met Jill. It's obvious from their first meeting there's chemistry between them, but given what they want out of life, I couldn't wait to see if they would get their HEA.

Jill is a sweet girl who got done wrong by the man she expected to spend forever with. Now she's out to find her 'forever man'. She wants the man, the house, the family, the roots. What she didn't expect was to get stood up and find herself talking to a hot stranger in a bar. Nor did she expect to find herself in bed with him having the hottest sex she's ever had. And she definitely did not expect to see him in her home the next morning as her new roommate.

Lucas' life changed two years ago and now he's a drifter with no ties to anything or anyone. He likes it that way. He never expected actually developing feelings for the hot little thing he met in a bar, but once he moved in as her roommate and seeing her everyday he couldn't resist. He fought against it, but he never truly was a drifter, he was a forever kind of man too.

Living With Her One-Night Stand brings everyone's worse nightmare into reality. I mean who'd want a one-night stand to show up as their roommate the next day...? Lucky for Jill and Lucas it's exactly what they both needed to happen. Sometimes fate has a strange way of making things work out.

I will always prefer stories told in first person, but sometimes third person can be good too...this is not one of those times. It gives too much nonessential information and at times I'd be like "goodness gracious get on with it already". However, it's not a bad story. I enjoyed the overall situation. I just didn't like the writing style and it made it difficult to fully enjoy.

Jill has reached a point in her life where she wants a man she loves and a family. She has been conversing on line with a man and they have been getting along great however he never showed up. She meets Lucas at the bar and decides to live a little and they spend the night together.

Two years ago, Lucas had a life altering moment and left it all behind. All he wants now is to live his live and enjoy his freedom so the last thing he wants is relationship.

They never thought they would see each other again but they wind up roommates. Living together becomes a challenge as although she knows they don’t have a future it’s hard to keep her distance but is Lucas willing to reconsider what he really wants from life?

This is a sweet and sexy romance filled with emotion that doesn’t disappoint. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Jill is tired of being tired so she goes out on a date. And gets stood up. But she meets a tall, sexy stranger and she realizes this flirting thing isn't so bad, especially when he invites her back to his place for a little between the sheets time.

Fun was had all around. Until he shows up and he's her new roommate, Lucas. Tall and sexy and gorgeous Lucas...who she also believes is aimless and lazy.

But proximity aand knowledge makes the heart grow fonder and soon these two are having a hard time staying away from each other. One Night with Her One Night Stand is a quick and fun read. An easy read that makes it easy to get lost for a few hours.

Jill craves stability and I completely understood that but it made her kind of insufferable. She constantly judged Lucas until she finally learned the truth which made things read kind of hollow. I liked the story a lot but there were times I wondered if I could feel their strong connection. I didn't feel it but I still had a good time and I'm still a Noelle Adams fan.

I absolutely loved this book and was over the moon when I found out that there was going to be a spin off from Tea for Two as that is one of my all time favourite series that I have read and it’s the first books I’ve read by this author. This totally lived up to the hype in my opinion as Tea for Two was that spectacular and I knew this was going to be the same. I just loved Jill and Lucas I thought they where just fantastic and I really enjoyed their story. They take you on a journey with them as they both had things they needed to get over from their past. I could not find anything that I didn’t love about this story other than I would have liked a bit more of the characters from Tea for Two and I so can’t wait for Chloe and Michelle get their books too. Im super excited for the next book in this series and that Noelle Adams totally deserves the 5 stars I’ve given this book as she has outdone herself with this book and I would totally recommend all 3 books in Tea for Two and this first book in a new series called The Loft

Jill wants a forever man. When her online date doesn’t show up she decides to try a fun filled night with the handsome stranger she met instead. Now she’s face to face with Lucas the man she thought she’d never see again.

Lucas had a “bam” two years ago and walked away from his life. He now lives day to day, riding the tide, and only stopping for brief times in temporary places. His life goals do not mesh with Jill’s. He does not want a forever but he does want a now.

This couple! OMG! I loved and despaired over them. They were so perfect together and yet they both knew they couldn’t be more. Their chemistry may have sparked their beginning but getting to know each other set fire to their soul deep need.

Lucas was caught in the past, unable to let go and move forward, unable to even share a bit of himself with Jill and that absolutely broke my heart. He was a good guy but he no longer saw himself in that light. Even while Jill struggled between yielding to Lucas and keeping her distance, I saw her as a strong heroine. She wanted the happy ever after and despite knowing that Lucas couldn’t give that to her, she was unable to let him into her heart.

This book had me laughing and crying and my heart being pulled in so many directions. I love when a story pulls me in so much that I ignore everything around me and just fall into it without a second thought. Living With My One Night Stand definitely did that. It was fast paced, well written, pretty steamy and had about a mid level of angst.

I loved every moment, every word, every step these characters took no matter how painful or sweet. Bring on the next, please!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book hit me right in the gut! Jill spent a lot of time trying to get Lucas to reveal his BAM moment. And although you can figure out what is was, the after-effects of the BAM were really what was holding Lucas back. Noelle Adams has written a wonderful story, and I'm anxious to see what else will happen in the Loft series.

Talk about A-w-k-w-a-r-d!!!!!

The good girl does a naughty thing and winds up with a reminder. A reminder of everything she wants but can't have. Or shouldn't have...?

Living with Her One-Night Stand is a sexy tease. It's a tease of what's to come and makes you beg for more. I am excited for more of The Loft.

I would like to thank Netgalley and The Loft for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Jill who is looking for her forever partner decides to go on a blind internet date and meets Lucas who has sworn off all relationships. Being stood up by her internet date, she and Lucas start talking and one thing leads to another they decide to make a night of it. So you can guess by the title what is about to happen.

Even though Lucas does not want a long term relationship he doesn’t want Jill to find that for herself. Living together they decide to be friends and sometimes have benefits for the time that he is living there. It’s too much for Jill who wants “more” of what Lucas can’t give her.

I really liked this book. I found the characters pretty believable and likable. They have a great chemistry and I found myself wanting them to be together. This was a fast paced read and can be done in a sitting. I liked the plot and the storyline and of course the steaminess. If you are into a quick romance with lots of drama then I’d definitely pick this up.

A Noelle Adams book is always good. Some are amazing and some are likable. Living with Her One-Night Stand falls into the likable category for me. This is a spin-off series from the Tea for Two world and the cafe is featured in it. Definitely do not need to have read the earlier series though.

This book didn't set me on fire or wow me. It was a nice book. Jill and Lucas meet while she is waiting for a date who never shows. After taking the plunge to "live a little", Jill has a one night stand with "I'm just floating on the breeze" Lucas. And then the next morning he shows up as the new roommate. Awwwwk-ward!

Lucas has some big, awful thing in his past that keeps him from wanting anything at all to tie him down. Jill wants a forever relationship - the whole husband, 2.5 kids, white picket fence. It's a match not made at all. But, they still can't resist each other. Or well, Jill does her best and Lucas just keeps wanting her.

I really didn't feel the chemistry between them. Friendship, yes. I could see that. But while the text was telling me they were burning up the sheets, I couldn't feel the heat. Too much tell and not enough show, in this case. Plus, I had figured out his "bam" before the reveal. I think it was pretty obvious.

I'm much more invested in friends Michelle and Steve's relationship which served as a counter balance to Jill and Lucas. Those two were either having screaming matches or having sex. There just was no in between. So, I'm hoping theirs will be the next book.

Overall, an enjoyable and quick read with a lot of drama and a lightning quick fix at the end.
