This book started with a shocker, and just kept going from there. I just wanted to hug Julian, and then smack him...but mostly hug. Charlotte was exactly what he needed and she needed him too. The charity aspect enhanced the story. I'm sad to see the series end, but this book was the perfect conclusion!

One More Promise is perfectly sweet and perfectly romantic. What it wasn’t was terribly interesting, and paired with the lack of heat I am used to from Chase, this novel played it way too safe. I love Chase novels for their dynamic characters, engaging plots and sensual tension so well done that I don’t even care that the stories aren’t dripping in sexy times. This one felt heavy and weighed down, a needed relief, more levity was sorely missed. I appreciated the journey, but wish there were a little more spark along the way.

Absolutely my favorite one of the series. Julian and Charlotte story is one about finding your inner strength to get over serious obstacles and find true love. Julian has a lot of baggage to get through and Charlotte is the perfect person to help him do that. Reading more about the band was just the icing on the cake. With beautifully written characters and a storyline that not only had me laughing but also had me in tears this is one of Samantha Chase’s books to date. I absolutely loved these characters, loved the story, and cannot wait for more from this author.

I received this as an ARC thanks to Sourcebooks through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really loved this entire series and believe that it is important to read this as a series (frankly, read all of Samantha's books - Montgomery, Shaughnessy, and Band on the Run)!
Julian was the mysterious one through this whole series... pretty much all I knew about him going into this was that he was a member of the band and his girlfriend is the worst. So, I didn't quite know what to expect, but knew that I wanted to read this book - and was really excited when I was picked for an ARC with Netgalley!
The characters and the situations they are in seemed very real - at times funny, at times heart-breaking. I flew through this book - it is the perfect vacation or weekend read!

This is the 3rd and final novel in the series but could easily be read as a stand alone.
The main plot revolves around the bands drummer, Julian who broke up with his fiance in a dramatic way. He is emotionally raw and at a loss to what to do. After a three month road trip he rents a house in Malibu. He meets Charlotte a social worker wjo is a sweet person amd leads Julian on a journey of self discovery. A lovely end to the series.

I absolutley loved One More Moment from the very first page. I fell fast and hard for Julian. After a break up with his ex, Julian leaves town to find himself. Still adjusting to being home, Jules goes to get a coffee and realized he forgot his wallet. Charlotte, a social worker sees Jules in line and believes he's homeless and offers to pay for his order. Jules thinks he has been recognized because who would buy something for someone and not expect something in return.
Julian continues with the same destructive behaviors with Charlotte as he did with his ex. But when Charlotte gets mad over the gifts he bought her Julian doesn't understand why.
I loved Julian and Charlotte together. They are such a wonderful couple and have great chemistry. One More Moment touched all my emotions, I laughed and cried with them. What a wonderful story

I’ve been wanting to read Julian’s story for a while now. Julian, the drummer of Shaughnessy, is avoiding - recognition from fans and playing music again with his band. We know from the previous books that he was in a toxic on again, off again relationship with the manipulative Dena who was after fame and money. The prologue in the book of his interaction with Dena is priceless. I always love a damaged bad boy rockstar and Julian is definitely that. I enjoyed watching him find his way.
Charlotte is an interesting character. She was inspired by her family history to become a vocational rehabilitation advisor - a fancy way of saying she helps people who are homeless, out of rehab, or just release from jail find jobs. I love how kind-hearted she was and how much she wants to help people, but she was quick to make assumptions that Julian is homeless and without a job. She immediately goes into stealth mode trying to help him. While I liked Charlotte, that was the one thing that annoyed me - making quick assumptions based off appearances (and later because Julian says he’s in between jobs and also diving right into to help someone who doesn’t need or want help.
It was fun to read how the two of them started their relationship and how they both helped each other on the way to self discovery. It was also great to see the band members and their wives from the other books. One More Moment is a great conclusion to the series.
I received this book as an ARC through NetGalley and I voluntarily leave this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

“You want it all, sweetheart?” He asked as he took a menacing step closer. “I guess you’ll get it from your latest fling.”
Julian left the chaos behind him & took off in a 3 month trip to “find” himself after the breakup. He couldn’t believe he let his ex-girlfriend, Dena keep doing this to him. Instead of helping him deal with everything, the trip just made the anger stronger & had humiliation dig into him until he felt he had to stop the music. Julian didn’t realize all he was doing was denying himself the support of his band mates & the joy of performing.
Charlotte loved relaxing on the beach. Her job as a social worker was enjoyable, but could be draining & taxing. She loved helping people find homes, jobs & their self worth but it took a lot out of her. Running into Julian at her favorite coffee shop, she thought he was homeless & needed her help. When their relationship progressed but began to look like Julian was acting in the same dysfunctional manner he did in his relationship with Dena, Charlotte called it quits. Would Julian just let her go or would he finally face his demons?
Samantha Chase takes her readers on a journey of self discovery with this story. Julian needs to deal with his past in order to be the man Charlotte needs. His parents gave him a bad portrait of a relationship & some bad advice about Dena which caused him to dig in & keep trying instead of calling it quits. He needed to learn to verbalize & deal with his issues instead of trying to hide them. Charlotte also needed to realize she didn’t need to be “on” 24-7. She needed to give her mind & body time to recover. I enjoyed visiting the lives of the couples from the rest of the series but it can easily still be read as a stand alone.
I enjoyed Julian & Charlotte’s relationship. He had his music, talent & money whereas she had her selflessness, good nature & positive attitude. Julian needed someone like her to keep him grounded. Charlotte needed him to remind her that money wasn’t all evil & excess. Their chemistry was amazing. The wrap up to this series is bittersweet. It was great to revisit them all & see how they’ve grown.

After dramatically ending a long-term an incredibly dysfunctional relationship, Julian meets social worker Charlotte. She originally mistakes a scruffy Julian for a homeless man instead of a wealthy rock star. They are immediately attracted to each other, but Julian’s last relationship did a number on him. Ms. Chase brings back the main characters from the earlier books in both series, so readers had the opportunity to catch up on the lives of the other members of the Shaughnessy Family and the band members of the same name. Julian and Charlottes happy ending was a nice way to end the series.

Julian, Julian, Julian! My dear Jules! The best for last. Well, at least the most dramatic. Poor Julian was drug through the ringer with Dena and after a little dramatic revenge he is in recovery mode. Broody, moody, and still down right gooey! These Shaughnessy Band men are hot! I felt so bad for Julian and what he went through with Dena. Mainly though I wanted to shake him and make him realize he was too good for her and he was better off without her.
Charlotte comes into Julian's life like a ocean's breeze. She is loving and devoted to her job which is essentially to save the world one broken person at a time. Julian appears to be the next broken, down on his luck man in need of Charlotte's assistance. BOY is she ever wrong on this assumption.
The chemistry between the two is not only hot but oh so sweet. I loved both of these characters. While you know they are going to struggle, I hated each moment they were not in absolute bliss with one another- they deserved it.
I am sad that this is the last in this series, but, as always, I know Samantha Chase will dazzle us with what's yet to come!

The 3rd and final novel in the Band on the run series which also ties in the Shaughnessy brothers. Julian love life has taken a turn for the worst. He has finally broken up with Dena after finding out yet again her infidelity. the guts Fast forward three months later and Julian is back in Malibu still mourning how he could have been so stupid to allow this woman to ravage his life and heart so badly. He has sworn off giving his heart again and is not sure he can carry on with his band anymore. Charlotte is a social worker who truly believes in what she does as one morning she is getting coffee before work and realizes the man(Julian) before her has forgotten his wallet and steps up and pays for him.
