❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
As much as I normally don’t like rockstar romances I didn’t mind this one. However, the hero drove me nuts. For the whole book he barely had his s@&$ together and was pretty much a train reck- am I supposed to find that enjoyable?
.
Our hero is a hot shot drummer who after a 5 year relationship exposes his fiancée’s infidelity at their wedding. So when our heroine offers to pay for his coffee when he forgets his wallet he immediately thinks she wants something from him as his trust has been shot to hell. When she has no idea who he is, he finds it refreshing and can’t help being drawn to her and her selfless mission to help the homeless and jobless.
.
The hero frustrated me the most in this book. He was clearly on the rebound (after only breaking up 3 months prior) and was in a terrible head space to really be in a relationship. He made decisions like trying to buy gifts after a fight and never seemed to learn. If he could have moved past this as well as make a decision with his life I would have enjoyed this book more but it was up till 80% him not growing and making smart decisions.

Julian leaves his fiance at the alter after discovering she cheated on him. Now he doesn't trust anyone including those who work for him. He decides to take some time off and rediscover himself during this time he meets Charlotte. Charlotte loves helping people and when she meets Julian she gets a wrong impression from him, but that doesn't stop her from reaching out to him. Along the way the two discover they have feelings for one another and Charlotte helps Julian trust again.
This is a great read. It is the third book in the series, but can be read as a standalone.

I loved getting to know these characters, their story, and what drew them to each other. Sometimes darkness is what can lead you to the light. Sometimes we need to be broken before we can find who we are meant to be. This is a beautiful love story that will keep you wanting more. You won't want to miss this must read!!

This was a great book! I loved the characters of Julian and Charlotte, even if Julian was a bit frustrating and jaded at times. Julian went through an awful betrayal and breakup - on his wedding day - and seems to have zero trust at first. Charlotte is a kind social worker, who first meets Julian when she offers to buy him a coffee when he forgot his wallet. They have their struggles, and it's set against the background of Julian being in a famous rock band. It was a great story overall!

There is so much I could say about this book, and it would all be true.
Julian's character has been hurt so many time and goes out of his way to step up and be the person that everyone can depend on. On his wedding day, he decides he needs a break and does the unthinkable. He outs his fiancée’s cheating on him to everyone just before they say their vows. Needing a much-needed break, he leaves town on the back of his bike seeking solace in the unknown.
Charlotte Clark is a social worker who helps people who, for whatever reason, that have lost their way. Growing up, she watched her father struggle after losing his job. Knowing that the pain of that loss affects more than the adults, she does her best to make sure the entire family finds stability during trying times.
When she meets Julian, she sees that he's struggling with something, but not sure what. Julian can't help thinking that everyone wants something from him. When Charlotte buys him a coffee when he forgets his wallet, he can't help but think that of her. He can't seem to accept that she wants nothing in return.
As he gets to know her better, he sees the kindness in her and begins to believe again. Then his ex shows up and reminds him that he can't trust those who supposedly love him.
A great book that I highly recommend. I couldn't put it down.

This is the third book in the series, and somehow I missed the earlier ones, but will be rectifying that when I find the time. I have, however, read many Samantha Chase novels and enjoyed them all, so was certain this would be good. If you are a big fan of rock star romances, like me, then you will definitely enjoy this one.
Julian has spent the last five years with someone that he now finds himself about to marry... but he has a plan to ensure that he doesn't. A really dramatic start to a book, and an act which it turns out affected him almost more than anyone else. As the book develops, we get to understand what type of a guy he is and why this was such an uncharacteristic act, and such a damaging one. Luckily, he has some great bandmates, and meets a woman who has nothing but good intentions at heart.
Charlotte is a normal woman, with an important job helping others. She just can't help herself, which is how she comes across Julian, and the whole misunderstanding gives them a chance to get to know each other. I love that she is so self-aware that she worries about how she will survive afterwards, as she will not be able to help going all in. She is not fearful, just a realist.
The author cleverly piles the pressure on Julian and gives us both their viewpoints, so that we can appreciate how even the kindest exchange of words can trigger bad reactions, and pick at the underlying issues. Obviously, there is a master plan, and the reader just has to be patient and hopeful that both of these people will get the future they deserve.

One more moment is the kind of romance book that I love. It’s sexy, sweet, laugh out loud moments but with depth and layers to the whole story, and an amazing cast of characters that you can’t help but love right from the beginning. A definite favourite of mine by this author and really can’t wait to see what she writes next.

Gotta say, this isn't one of my top Samantha Chase books. I thought Julian was a jerk. The scene with him in the coffee shop almost made me decide to abandon, but I stuck it out. I'm glad I did because the book got better.
What I liked about this story is that there were no easy answers. Julian had to realize that being a rock star doesn't mean that he gets to check out and act bratty. He learned that he has a responsibility to make the world a better place. Charlotte was a little quick to jump to conclusions, but she had her heart in the right place.
I think my biggest issue with the book really is Julian. I found the relationship between him and Charlotte hard to swallow, because I just didn't like him.

One of the things I loved about the book was the characters. They weren't these perfect people with the perfect relationship that you see in books these days. The book in general was amazing and I have already read it multiple times. I highly recommend that people buy this book. I could say more but I dont want to ruin it by giving something away.

Another great book in the Band on the Run series. This book focuses on Julian, the mysterious drummer. Julian is unsure if he wants to continue being in the spotlight and playing in the band after a bad relationship ended. He meets Charlotte, a social worker who has no idea that Julian is famous. Charlotte sets out to help Julian, but their relationship quickly develops into much more.

Another winner for Ms. Chase. Given all the angst for the other members of the band I wasn't sure how Julian's story would play out but the dramatic show and tell at his wedding was unexpected to say the least. Unfortunately it's forced Julian to hide away from his not so adoring public and shy away from the band and his music. When he accidentally leaves his wallet at home and Charlotte pays for his coffee and bakery item, he certainly expects the worst. But then...……...
Charlotte has no idea who Julian is but she's in a hurry and figures paying for his coffee and croissant will get her to her appointment that much faster. She works with the poorest of the poor pouring her heart and soul into helping the rehab centers that are under her care. Pulling Julian and his considerable resources both monetary and people is the saving of Julian and benefits the shelter that she is currently working with.
This is a sweet tender romance as the two of them find each other and find love. Ms. Chase continues to deliver winners, Sweet tender romances that sweep her readers into the lives of her characters and keeps them there.

The way this book opens with Julian Grayson the drummer for the rock band he had been with, you are expecting it only to go up wrong. He then months later is standing in a coffee house and is getting upset because a women has decided to buy his coffee and muffin because he forgot his wallet. He is upset because he thinks that she wants something from him. She does for him to move so she can get her items and be on her way so she can get to work. This is how you meet Charlotte. He cannot leave it alone as to why she would do something like that and when she says pay it forward he does not understand that phase at that time. Still trying to understand her he follows her to a shelter where she volunteers at and he finds out that she is a social worker, finding jobs is just one of the many things she tries to help people find. Charlotte has no idea that the man following her and helping out is a rock star and when he asks her to come to his place to talk she is really overwhelmed by the size, the view and just everything. She also finds herself attracted him and he is attracted to her. As the story moves along he is still dealing with or not dealing with a past relationship and because of this his actions led her to walk away telling him she does not want anything from him but him. He does not understand that phase. He begins to work things out but he wonders if it is too late for them to get back together. This is an excellent book to go with this series and I really liked the Charlotte and Hank characters. Overall a good book.

I loved this series. I wasn't sure if Julian's story would be as good as the previous books, but I was surprised and this was a very quick read for me. (Julian's story may even be my favorite.)
I love that Charlotte doesn't really know who Julian is when their paths cross. And I really enjoyed that she was not going to change who she was for him. I'm also glad that we knew early on how his previous engagement was called off, and that he was able to get closure with his ex. Julian found his passion for music again, and overall this was a really great, fun read.

One More Moment is one of those books that once you dive in, you are in it clutches! It's and intriguing and enticing read! The characters are believable and you feel like you could be their friends.
Julian and Charlotte meet at a coffee house when she pays for his breakfast after he forgot his wallet. Julian is irked to say the least. He can pay for his own damn stuff! He immediately thinks Charlotte knows he is the drummer from a famous band and naturally wants something from him. Truth be told, Charlotte was just being nice-she has no clue who he is.
Charlotte is a vocational rehabilitation counselor and helps the homeless get their lives back in order. Through shelters, jobs-help of any kind. Charlotte assumed Julian was homeless and just needed some help, He certainly looked the part-all disheveled and of course, no wallet. She is just kind like that. The pay it forward type!
Julian is the drummer for a world famous rock band. When he realizes Charlotte truly doesn't know who he is, he likes it, and doesn't out himself just yet! She is a breath of fresh air and he doesn't quite know how to react. All he knows is that he cannot stop thinking about her, and wants to see her again.
This book was very engaging! Julian and Charlotte are a very straightforward couple. I think they meshed well. Julian had very public problems to deal with, and with Charlotte's social worker background, was a good compliment.
I hadn't read the other books in the Band On The Run series, but it did not hamper reading this book. If you are a sucker for rock stars, then this is your summer ticket! It was a fun read!

You need to read this book! Well written and the characters were well developed. I like the fact that Charlotte did not try and make Julian change right away. Charlotte was so in touch with those around her and wasn't willing to change for anyone! Having the book set at the beach couldn't have been better. Great book!

A lighthearted fun romance with an engaging couple and a great supporting cast. A disillusioned rock star and a cutie that helps the unemployed, and in most cases unemployable, find jobs meet by chance and make a connection. Charlotte is a bit of a do-gooder and has no idea who Julian is. There's some humor in thinking he's s down on his luck and needs a job when he's living in a Malibu mansion. Julian keeps the facade going and finds that helping others and being close to Charlotte is a good thing. But his past haunts him and he does few dumb things before he decides he can trust again. This really isn't a rocker story but more of a sweet romance featuring a rocker star in hiding. It has a fairly predictable storyline with some drama thrown in to keep it going and is overall an entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 3.5 stars.

Taking time off from the band and the spotlight is the right thing for Julian Grayson. He needs time to sort through the anger and get past it after the betrayal of his bride-to-be, but it isn't easy since her betrayal has cost him a lot. However, the moment he meets Charlotte Clark, he finds he's more alive than he's ever been, especially since she doesn't know who he is. Yet, the more time they spend together, the more Julian discovers how different Charlotte and his ex are. Will Julian be able to convince Charlotte to take a chance on him or will she walk away from her chance at happy ever after because Julian doesn't realize why she doesn't need anything else but him?
This is the first book I've read of this series, and I've got to say that it was absolutely engrossing, fast-paced and a story I was totally charmed by because of the wonderful main characters; the compelling dialogue that had me loving this couple's growing relationship, their back stories and the obstacles they face to be together; and the secondary characters that entertained me just as much as the main ones because they would do anything for Julian.
The way this story started with the prologue had me sympathizing with the hero because how could his bride-to-be believe she could get away with everything she was doing and I liked that he wasn't about to continue to let her get away with everything she's done to him. Was the way he goes about exposing her too much? However, it was from the moment where Julian and Charlotte come face-to-face for the first time where this story really takes off, as Julian can't believe anyone could be as generous as the heroine without a motive. Will he find she's just a good person?
As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, especially that of the hero, because he's angry for what his ex did to him and it's made him question everything and has him wondering who he can trust. Moreover, I really liked both the main characters. They had me reading this story quickly, determined to discover more about them and what obstacles they would face to be together. Will Julian realize that all Charlotte wants is him before it's too late? Certainly, she's nothing like his ex in needing to be given something extravagant every time something goes wrong between them.
With the heroine, she's resilient, hard-working, kind, caring and I liked how determined she was to help Julian, even though it seems he doesn't need her help. He's not helpless, but just angry at life. Will the hero be able to overcome his issues? I also liked how good Charlotte is for Julian because he needs to get past what's happened. No way can he keep going like he's going. He needs to face the past if he's to ever have a future with her. While the hero, he's struggling to move on from what his ex did and I could understand why he finds it hard to trust people. Still, I liked the hero's progression, as he begins to live life again by helping the heroine and then realizing that music is still very important to him. Really, it isn't easy for him to give up, no matter how much he thinks giving up his music career will help him to move forward with his life.
Overall, Ms. Chase has delivered a well-written and wonderful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance was delightful and sweet and shows how good these two are together; and the ending had me loving the hero's determination to win back Charlotte after their relationship goes awry. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely, as I liked how far Julian's come since meeting Charlotte. I would recommend One More Moment by Samantha Chase, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope, the opposites attract trope or books by authors Erin McCarthy, Erin Nicholas, Melanie Shawn and Melissa Foster.

Decisions…..they define certain moments in our life. They can be unforgettable, tragic and even romantic. For Julian – his wedding was such a defining moment. Years led up to that day that should have been the happiest moment in his life. Instead – it was a ‘learning’ moment for everyone at the event. Those revelations led Julian to flee everything that he held dear in life. To rediscover what he was doing with his life, and find a way to put the revelations about Dena in his past.
After returning to town, Julian decided he couldn’t go ‘home’ ever again. So – the beach was the place that he felt the most unhindered. A daily trip to the local coffee house would leave Julian with more questions than answers. After leaving his wallet at home, Charlotte stepped up and offered to pay for Julian’s order. A simple act of doing the right thing left Julian in limbo. Who would do something nice without expecting anything in return?
A rocky start with the encounter with Charlotte, left Julian wondering more about the gal that cared enough about others to lend him a helping hand. Julian decided to take Charlotte up on her offer to meet at a local facility that helps those in need. An eye opening task that made Julian question everything that he knew. There is one problem with this newfound revelation that Julian has….Charlotte doesn’t know the truth about Julian or where he comes from. Will they crash and burn when Charlotte discovers the man that she believed to be on hard times is really a rock star?
One More Moment is the latest installment in the Band on the Run series. It was an interesting novel on the classic trope ….opposites attract. Julian isn’t your average band member, and it shows in his personality. Charlotte was the perfect character to land at Julian’s feet. The two create a world that I really could have stood to read more about! Make sure you read the other books in the series prior to One More Moment!

I enjoyed this story and now need to go back and get the earlier ones – especially since this is the last in this series. I loved how the band and friends cared about each other and their easy banter. That’s why Julian’s almost pouty behavior a few times seemed out of place for me. Not enough to turn me off, just made me pause a second. Charlotte was so selfless, and it was a hoot on how they met. Loved that angle. They were all believable and relatable so that I was pulled into the lovely story. Great chemistry on the romance and just enough heat to make me smile.

This is another great addition, probably the last (sigh) in the Shaunessey series. This one is Julian, their drummer, who was taken advantage of by his fiancee and who has decided that because of this, he can no longer trust anyone he'd previously worked with -- except his band -- and therefore must give up his true love, the band. Enter Charlotte, a social worker and a truly nice and considerate person, who runs into him at a coffee shop on the day he returns from a three month self-exile looking like a homeless person. She buys him a coffee as she overheard him saying he'd forgotten his wallet, he blows up at her, she just looks at him and says she's sorry but if he really can afford it, then pay it forward.
The writing is great -- you really can believe in these characters and you both celebrate and grieve with them. The other three band members - Riley, Matt, and Dylan -- and their wives are there as well; all of the above, and Mick the manager of course, are very instrumental helping Julian realize he's not alone, no one is laughing at him, there are people in the world who are way worse off, and that it's not necessary to buy something for someone to make them, actually him, feel better; that words and actions pay off more. Charlotte also realizes that she can take time for herself, and that she can't save the world no matter how hard she tries. She just has to let Julian figure out his problems by himself.

This was the first book I've read by Samantha Chase, it was a lovely, comforting romance. It was gushing with charm, blossoming a love that was sweet and emotional.
There was so much depth to both Julian and Charlotte, they felt like friends from another lifetime. I genuinely enjoyed the book, however I was little surprised by how PG it was. With that in mind, I wasn't missing the sexy times. Ms. Chase's writing was able to deliver an intimacy between the characters without the sexy scenes.
I love a story about a superstar (movies, music, or otherwise) falling in love with a genuine normal person. Julian and Charlotte were perfect compliments to each other. Like two puzzle pieces that were a match, genuine soul mates.
This story was a refreshing read. I cheered for this couple the entire story. Definitely worth a read.
