Band on the run...or drummer on the run?!

Nothing says train wreck like the start of this book but let me tell you, it was a long time coming. Epic reveal. Best opportunity taken. I can't say more without ruining the book but dang that was awesome.

Of course the after effect isn't so sweet...Jules is still a mess. He puts everything on hold. Not dealing with it or acknowledging it. Sigh. When will he learn?

Apparently a sweet social worker is enough to tempt the bear out of the cage but will she get him to "perform tricks" too? These two have the potential for epic. I just don't feel more than a mild entertainment.

This is the second book I have read from Samantha Chase, I came into this great series at book 2 Until There Was US and I loved this even more then that one. I have some of her other books on my kindle just haven't gotten around to reading them yet.

Julian Grayson, a drummer for Shagnessy, has gone through the humiliation of a nasty, very public, break up at his wedding and decides to take a 3month hiatus from life, touring around on his bike. He's found he wants different things now and just wants the quiet life, free from the spotlight and is considering quitting the band.

Charlotte is a social worker who mistakenly thinks Julian is a homeless man and she wants to help him when he is buying coffee and has forgotten his wallet after coming back home from his trip to empty cupboards.

Samantha Chase has delivered us a great tale of forgiveness, love, and generosity. She has written Julian's struggle with anger from his betrayal brilliantly, and the chemistry between him and Charlotte is off the charts, but their relationship wasn't easy. It was real and a bumpy road.

Rock on! It's always a joy to revisit the guys of Shaughnessy and get the lowdown on what's going on in all of their lives, and it's especially special to get updates on the Shaughnessy family that we've loved over the years. Julian was different than I was expecting him to be ... mostly because he hit a wall and had to face the mess his life had become before we got to know his story instead of coming in when he was in his spotlight. I didn't connect with him as much as I have some of the other guys, but I still enjoyed his story and watching him work the long road towards his happily ever after. Really great series!

Julian Grayson has been hiding from his life for months now, but he's finally taking the step to move forward again by coming home. His life has revolved around being the drummer of rock band Shaughnessy for so years, so when his personal life took a dive in a public spectacle, he felt the need to walk away from it all. He's back ... but he's not sure he can ever stomach being a public entity anymore. Meeting Charlotte, who doesn't know him from Adam, gives him the chance to be anonymous for once, and he has to admit, he likes it!

Charlotte Clark meets a guy at a coffee shop who she perceives as being down on his luck. It's exactly the type of person that she's made it her life's work to help, so she's happy to add Julian to her list. The more time they spend together, the more they start to like each other and lean further into each other's lives, but she has no idea who he is ... and when she does find out, she's spitting mad!

Highly entertaining, sweetly sexy, emotionally thrilling and action packed romantic adventure that left me breathless...... perfect summer afternoon in the backyard sipping on a cold drink relaxing time.

Julian Grayson is burnt out on fame and enjoying hiding in plain sight..... Charlotte Clark is sweet, sexy, compassionate and completely charming Julian even though she does not seem to know who he is. Was hook from the first chapter and loved every captive moment.

I loved that Charlotte was a social worker who was giving her all to her clients. She works so tireless to make other people life get back on track. OMG that meet cute in this book is hilarious. I really like that she had no clue who he was, knowing that he is a bad ass rock star drummer. Julian had such skewed ideas of relationships and how they work out that Charlotte helps him work through.

Sad that this may be the end of the Shaughnessy Brothers series. I have been in love seeing the band members overcome there personal issues and be human.

I enjoyed Julian from the start! Charlotte learns to never judge a person by there appearance! I really enjoyed this one! These are such interesting characters!

I didn't love this book as much as I loved the previous ones. Most of the time I really disliked Julian.

IF all it takes is for me to buy every disheveled man a cup of coffee for me to find the love of my life..I will start buying cups left and right. LOL Great story, sweet but sexy and I just loved how such a simple gesture could turn a persons life around.

One More Moment is the third book in the Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series, written by Samantha Chase. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone, however, I recommend reading the previous books in the series: One More Kiss (Book 1) and One More Promise (Book 2). Each book focuses on a different member of the band, and this book is about the drummer, Julian Grayson.

People have misconceived ideas about the life of a rock star, and Julian knows first hand that life is not all roses and rainbows just because you are a star. He just went through a horrible breakup (on his wedding day) with his cheating ex-girlfriend, and has decided to take some time for himself. Julian is hoping the three months off from performing with the band will help get his life back on track. Little does he know, but his life is about to change when he stops to get a coffee, and realizes he forgot his wallet.

Charlotte Clark is used to helping others, after all, she is a social worker. Charlotte stops one morning to get coffee, and she sees a disheveled looking man does not have money to pay for his order, so she pays for it. Charlotte always tries to help those in need, and did not expect the man to become so irritated after her good deed. She is completely surprised by his behavior, and does not understand why he seemed so offended..
However, after he starts volunteering at the homeless shelter, she will learn the reason behind his behavior.

The story that unfolds is engaging from beginning to end. Samantha Chase is an author that writes from the heart, and this is carried over into her characters and through her brilliant storytelling. Julian and Charlotte are characters that are easy to relate to, and the chemistry between them is evident from their initial meeting. I loved the fact that Charlotte did not recognize Julian, and that gives their relationship a chance because you know she was not after him because of his fame. I actually felt sorry for Julian because he is so skeptical of people. However, I also understand how taxing that can be at the same time, especially since he never knows the true motive of people. Welcome to the day in the life of a celebrity.

One More Moment is filled with heartbreak and sadness leading to friendship and love. This is a story that will take you on a roller-coaster of emotions, and one that will steal a bit of your heart in the process. I highly recommend this book, as well as the previous books in the series.

This can totally be read as a stand alone story, but i would bet it would still be nice to know more of the previous characters stories, however enough is given in this book to keep you in the know.

Charlotte is a hard worker with a passion for her job helping the homeless find their feet in the most careful and sensitive way. It is a misunderstanding thinking that Julian is a little like the people that she helps out daily that sends these two into a happiness that they thought may never happen for them.

Julian has only just got back from a three month road trip after a dramatic ending to his previous unhealthy relationship. He is surprised that someone is doing something for him for nothing, let alone that she does not recognise him.

The pair work really well together, it is only Julians past that is keeping him from seeing how his past is hurting the new relationship that he wants with Charlotte, however he certainly is good at organising help for Charlottes work and getting hands on with the helping.

I really enjoyed this book, the sex scenes were what my mother describes and 'closed door' scenes, however there was still heat and certainly chemistry between the pair that scorched the pages.

I will certainly have to go back to books one and two at some time, just to finish off the series :)

Thought this was such a great book! It was sweet, There was a lot of emotions between the two characters. Julian... poor Julian.. He was broken from his past... but when he meets someone who doesn't know him or anything about him, its refreshing. I loved the dynamic of both Julian and Charlotte. This was a cute, romance that I would recommend to anyone!

Julian was to be married but on his wedding day he showed a video of his fiance -Dena- in bed with another man the week before and she said she was marrying Julian for his money and fame and the man would get his share as Julian gave her anything she wanted.Julian was in the band Shaughnessy and his band mates were Riley, Matt, and Dylan and their manager Mick was there at Julian side at his wedding or aborted wedding. They were Julian's best friends his “brothers.” The stood by him no matter what and the always had his back.Julian had been with Dena five years. Julian went and picked up his motorcycle and went on the road for ninety days no one knew exactly where he was but he did check in so everyone knew he was ok. .After the time on the road Julian thought he had dealt with most of his feelings on just about everything. He was sure everyone thought he was a fool. So many had tried to warn him about staying in the relationship with Dena but Julian wouldn’t listen. He had been determined to make things work. Dena had wanted fame and fortune and Julian was her ticket. Her words on the video devastated him but he was thankful for them as well Given Julian’s tendency to cave when it came to Dena. That is why Julian put a lot of miles between him and Dena. Then Mick said he had a house Julian could rent for three months and Julian took it as he wasn't ready to house hunt right now. The rental was on the beach in Malibu. Julian had to give some thought to his future. Julian was burned out from music or so he thought. Stepping back into the limelight Julian knew he would always be looking at the people around him with suspense and wondering who was going to stab him in the back next. Charlotte was a vocational counselor and also had a background in social work and she had learned how to read people who were trying to hide or simply didn’t want to share. Charlotte helps homeless people or down and out people find jobs and that sort of thing.Sometimes people who had just got out of prison or rehab. The guy before her at the coffee shop had forgot his wallet and Charlotte said to add the amount to hers. And then the guy acted mad. He looked at her and asked her what she wanted from him. Julian went to the homeless shelter went to Charlotte’s class. Afterwards he helped out in any way he could. Hank told Charlotte Julian had worked hard gotten a lot done. Julian started going to the homeless shelter Then one day Hank called Julian to his office told Julian he knew who he was and he needed to tell Charlotte who he was or not come back and Julian left. Julian couldn’t seem to stay away from Charlotte and he did tell her who he was and she didn't recognize his name but she did recognize the bands name. , but soon they sleep together and become a couple. Charlotte realized he was falling for Jillian but still couldn’t to get a read on him. But one night at a restaurant with Charlotte and his band mates and their mates a beautiful blonde comes up to the table and asks Julian if she could talk to her -it was Deana and Julian says no and tells her to leave and his band mates/brothers back him.
I loved this book. It was absolutely great., another new favorite for me. This was a short story but had everything it needed. It was a sweet roller coaster emotional romance. I love Julian and Charlotte and how they interact. I was glad when Dena and Julian had the closing they both needed. I was loved how Julian and his band mates and manager were so close. I loved how Julian brought in different musicians l to play with/ for the homeless which also bought in more donations. I happily found nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the plot and pace. .I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend this book.

I adored Julian! He's so broken after what Dena did. God, I hurt for him.

Charlotte is a feisty one! Now, I need to go back and read the first two books!

I really enjoyed this one. The one thing that really stood out to me was the message of hope through out the book. To me this was an uplifting book along with the romance. I just loved Charlotte. The way she wants to help everyone. She has such a big heart, but you can also see the toll it takes on her emotionally. Charlotte and Julian truly need one another because they bring a happy light into each other's lives. It's not going to be easy because Julian is questioning everything in his life right now, but with the help of his band mates and Charlotte he may find a happy medium to give his life a meaning/purpose. I really liked Julian and Charlotte together. They have a ton a chemistry, but they also compliment each other so well. This a book that brings the feels and emotion.

This was a good read for me! I love finding a new author who can grab my attention from the start! The writing flowed well, and I thought the characters were fully developed. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but that didn't affect the flow of the story. It was hard for me to like Julian for a while. I felt like he was throwing himself a never ending pity party, and he didn't want anyone to point out that he was doing it to himself. It takes Julian A LONG time to come to terms with everything that happened to him, and Charlotte gets dumped on in the mean time. I liked Charlotte, I thought she was a good h. She knew when to push and when to walk away. The ending was perfect for these characters. I will definitely be looking for more from this author!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

4 1/2 Stars ... a sweet romance that shouldn't be missed!

Julian is the drummer for the band Shaughnessy and is tired of his life in the spotlight. But when he finally admits that his longtime girlfriend cheats on him, he makes a spectacle of their life at their wedding by exposing her cheating ways and then he takes off for 3 months on a motorcycle to try and sort his life out. When he returns to Malibu, he meets Charlotte in line at a coffee shop. When he forgets his wallet, Charlotte thinks that he is homeless and pays for his coffee and muffin. He thinks she's trying to scam him, but she truly has no idea who he is an her being a social worker, she's used to helping people. And Julian can't help but fall for her because she doesn't treat him any different than anyone else. But when Charlotte finds out he's a millionaire rock star, she wants no part of him. Can Julian convince Charlotte to take a chance on them?

This is a sweet romance that will make you laugh, cry and swoon. I couldn't help but fall for these characters as they just seem so real ... well maybe Julian has a lifestyle that we all would love, but he doesn't seem so full of himself as you think he would being a rock star. And Charlotte, bless her heart, she just wants to make the world she lives in a better place for everyone. This has been a great book and series and I highly recommend you read it.

One More Moment is the first book by Samantha Chase that I have read, but it is the third in her Band On the Run series. I am definitely going back to read the first two!
This is a sweet love story between Julian, who is extremely lost after a bad public breakup, and Charlotte, with a heart of gold. She doesn’t know that he is in a famous rock band. He thinks everyone just want something from him, but when Charlotte finally proves him wrong he still has some emotional healing to get through in order to finally be worthy to truly open his heart to her and go back to what he loves to do, make music.

This sadly wasn‘t as good as I thought it would be. I really loved the blurb and storyidea but somehow it all fell a bit flat for me. Also the chapters were way too long for my liking. A 30pages chapter just feels like you read and make no progress so the whole book felt dragged on and slow for me. I also felt like the characters didn‘t have any real depth and I couldn‘t connect with them. Julia I just wanted to hit the whole time but I did like Charlotte. The only reason why it got 3 stars is that the storyline was a good idea, Charlotte was great and I liked the ending. So it really wasn‘t my cup of tea but if you don‘t have anything against long chapters maybe you‘ll enjoy it.

It’s always a bittersweet moment for me when a series I’ve enjoyed comes to a close – but what a story to finish off the Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series. If you need a feel good romance in your life right now, this is the story you’ll want to pick up. Charlotte is that heroine you’ll fall in love with and want for your best friend. She’s upbeat, sees the good in all people, gives far beyond the criteria of her “job” and is simply a good, nice person. Her first encounter with Julian shows her core beliefs and she, frankly, was a joy to encounter. Julian is… harder, more cynical, definitely wounded in ways that he himself keeps perpetuating. Yes, he’s a famous rock star who cannot believe that someone would do a good deed simply because they could with no payback in any form their goal. He’s been shaken to his core by his wedding that never happened experience, and by other life lessons so he allows Charlotte to believe what she thinks she sees, a man down on his luck, and enjoys being seen for himself for a change. He’ll have to tell her the truth eventually, but for now he’s simply going with the flow that is Charlotte at her very best… real, honest and giving.

I admit, there were times that Julian was hard to take. Yet when he finally got his “aha” moment, that was golden to see the man he could become once he left the past where it belongs, in the rear-view mirror. It was fun to run into familiar faces, and I leave this world happy with the series and the people I met in Band on the Run. Now I’m looking forward to what Samantha Chase brings us next. I would definitely recommend One More Moment to any Romance reader who enjoys touches of reality, a believable couple and a very good story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Charlotte was such a great female character. She spent her time working to help the homeless and those down on their luck to get back on their feet again. She gave so much of her time in order to help other live a more fulfilling life. Her life pretty much revolved around her work, but I’d say not in a bad way, because of all the good she was doing. Even after she found out who Julian was, she never changed herself. She didn’t want all the gifts and things his money could buy for her. Her outlook on things was still the same, and someone who can stick to their beliefs and morals through everything is someone to be admired.

Julian was a guy who had gone through some pretty rough stuff. His fiancé cheated on him multiple times and was all around toxic. Not that he was a terrible person or anything, but their relationship overall was just very toxic. When he breaks it off (with the kind of drama reserved for a reality show), he sets off on his own and takes some time to get his bearings together. In comes Charlotte, and the relationship they form together is definitely worth reading about.

Samantha Chase is such a wonderful writer. I really enjoyed the way she told the story of Julian and Charlotte. She writes such well-rounded characters who are likeable as well as each having their own set of flaws. They recognized those flaws and did what they could to work to be a better person. The romance was incredibly cute as well. Not too steamy, but so wholesome and wonderful that it would make you wish for the kind of love Julian and Charlotte had.

The fact that all of the charity work Charlotte did was such a main point throughout the book made me enjoy the plot that much more. As well as giving us a cute romance story, Samantha Chase reminds us how important it is to pay it forward. To do the most simple and charitable gesture may not take a lot of effort out of us, but it could mean the world to someone else having a rough day.

I’m pretty sure the book took place over about two months, but it honestly felt like it was way longer. And I mean that in a good way! It made it seem like their loved developed over a good period of time and that despite Julian breaking off his engagement/marriage three months before he moved to the beach, he didn’t move on too fast.

Overall, if you’re looking for a cute romance with some really strong characters and good writing, I would highly suggest checking this one out.
