Weddings are meant to be the happiest day of your life. Key words, meant to be. Unfortunately for Julian Grayson, his dreams of the perfect moment go awry. The only choice left is to run from his past life. Run from family. Run from friends. Run from love. But can he escape fate and all that is truly meant to be? At his lowest points, he cannot think of starting over with someone new. The world works in mysterious way and always when you least expect it.

Paying it forward is meant to be the start of having a feel-good type of day. Or so you would think. For social worker, Charlotte Clark, paying it forward is about to get more complicated. One simple misunderstanding will lead her to the seemingly most difficult job. The only question on her mind is how to properly lend her services without getting tangled in a mess. But is it really a job when she later finds out just who it is she’s helping?
One More Moment is the type of book that grips you in from start to finish. You want to find out if these characters can find their meant to be moment. You root for them at every turn. There was not one single moment that left me feeling disappointed. Even when a certain someone turns up, the hope still remains. We have all had our moments when we feel that no one can be trusted.

With a broken heart, hostility takes over to try to mask the pain. The ache is raw and ever present. Throwing himself into work is a guaranteed burn out. Trying to move on may lead to more heartbreak than he could take. That is what made Julian relatable. He wasn’t made out to be the Mr. Rockstar type who depending on partying to heal him. No. He experienced real emotions where you can feel yourself in his position. If you have been there, you see where he is coming from.

I loved Charlotte and her willingness to help. Yes, it is a part of her job. However, she makes it more about the person than the work. In the beginning, her desire to push past the stubborn exterior showed how dedicated she was. It was refreshing to read in a book, especially a romance. She had her moments when she wanted to throw in the towel but stuck to it. After finding out the truth, Charlotte allowed herself to go for the unexpected.
Samantha Chase has a way of making you love her characters. You grow with them and the relationship. Not once did I get a rushed vibe from the developing romance. It rolled very fluidly yet still left me with a feeling of awe. It was like I was experiencing everything with them. Ms. Chase knows her way through a romance novel. So, if you’re ever in the need of a series that will make you fall in love, turn to the Band on the Run series!

So let me tell you what THE best part of this book was ….. Charlotte Clark! What an incredible character this author created. And a perfect match for our hero. This woman was everything we all aspire to be …strong and independent, the glass was always half full and sunshine peeked thru cloudy skies. Man, I loved her! And yes, Julian is likeable also but Charlotte … yeah. She made this story stand out.

The last of the Band on the Run stories packed a bit of a punch on all fronts. It was bittersweet knowing this was the last book in the series but the author made sure to throw in past characters in the journey for us to make it that much more meaningful. This series has been a hit for me from the beginning. It has made my heart smile from the beginning.

I’ve said this in every review of this series and it still stands now: This was another high ranking **happy sigh** book that shouldn't be missed by this author. It will make you feel good no matter what's going on in your life :)

One More Moment by Samantha Chase was a fantastic book and I enjoyed reading it! I enjoyed the storyline and the romance. in this book. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Julian and Charlotte. I could not put this book down. Samantha Chase did a wonderful job in writing One Perfect Moment. She gave me a reader all that I like to read in a book. She saved the best for last. I laughed and cried while reading One Perfect Moment.

Samantha Chase shows us that famous people are normal people that have problems and issues in their lives. Samantha thank you for writing such great books for your readers like me to read!

One More Moment is the latest book in Samantha Chase's "Band on the Run" series. I haven't read any of the other books featuring the guys from the band Shaughnessy but I knew this was one of those series where I could hop in anywhere and enjoy the ride. This romance was fun and sweet and I enjoyed it.

Here's the synopsis:
Julian Grayson is taking a break
...from his cheating fiancée
...from his band
...from his life in the spotlight
Charlotte Clark is devoted to her work
...to save the world
...to help the homeless
...to get a broken man back on his feet
When Charlotte Clark offers to pay for Julian Grayson's coffee, the world-famous drummer assumes she wants something from him. But Charlotte has no idea who he is, and Julian can't resist keeping up the charade—being incognito is a novelty and a relief. He'll have to tell her...eventually. But as Charlotte cheerfully undertakes to transform his life, Julian realizes there's something about her that gives him what he hasn't felt in years: hope.
I have to admit that, even though I really enjoyed the romance between Julian and Charlotte, I wasn't feeling at all swoony towards Julian - and I think that really impacted my overall feelings with this book. Warranted? Who knows, but that's what I think. I found him to be somewhat arrogant, completely clueless, and unwilling to accept his part in his predicament (terrible last relationship, blow out at the wedding that wasn't, everything with the band). What saved this story for me was Charlotte. She was having none of that nonsense and was trying to get him to see that he needed to fix himself and his life and everything else would sort of fall into place.

I think my favourite thing about this book was actually Julian realizing how great it felt to give back to the community. Sure, he started doing it for Charlotte but you could tell he was eventually doing it for himself. He realized how he could take all the money and fame he'd worked hard for and use it for something good. I think a lot of people need to realize that they have a lot of themselves to give to causes (something I need to remember myself). A small amount of your time or money can go so far in the right place.

While this book is mostly a romance, there's a lot more to it. In fact, Julian (especially) and Charlotte both had to work on themselves before a relationship could move forward. Charlotte needed to realize that, as noble as it is, she can't save the world. Not on her own and especially not when she's not looking after herself. I liked that Julian helped her realize she needed to slow down a little bit and relinquish some control (even if I felt that he was being an asshat about it sometimes. Charlotte's not going to quit working just because you have a lot of money, you knob. Hm. I think I have more problems with Julian than I realized.) Julian, for all his faults, did eventually realize them and tried to work on himself.

One More Moment was a romance with a lot of heart and characters who will draw you in (for better or for worse). Samantha Chase will be going on my list of authors to keep an eye on - especially when I need a fun and sweet romance to get lost in.

Best Prologue Ever!! Serioslusly after I read it I was shocked but I loved it! I definitely think reading the others in the series is beneficial because you understand a little back story of the band and the relationship that Julian was in. I was so glad he moved on even if he was a bit ridiculous and grumpy. Overall a great book, I love happy endings for good people.

Rating 4/5

Do you believe in chance? Coincidence? Fate? If yes, this story is perfect for you! If not, pick it up anyway because it'll have you believing in it! I thought Julian was a real douchebag at first - I assumed it was because of his rockstar persona and I always think they're sort of rude anyway. It felt like he was taking advantage of Charlotte's innocence and naivety and I didn't like that. He should have been honest from the start instead of playing along with her misunderstanding. But of course the happy ending made up for his start.

I have never read a story by Samantha Chase that I haven’t loved!! One More Moment is an emotional story of a past that needs to be healed, trust that needs to be built, and a wonderful female character that truly is the best of what the world has to offer!

I love the chemistry between Julian and Charlotte. She is so open and giving and exactly what Julian needs! I was happy to see the continued connection between the band members...unconditional love and support. While Dylan will always be my favorite band member...Julian is a close second. One More Moment is the perfect ending this series!

This was a light-hearted story that I enjoyed reading for the sake of reading. Characters were a little hard to relate to at times (I get perhaps the author was trying to break the 'rocker guy' stereotypes) but Julian didn't feel all that read to me and Charlotte felt a little too understanding about everything.Overall a story that kept my attention and I finished feeling satisfied with the ending.

Oh, Julian and Charlotte. I absolutely loved their story. They are perfect together and it was so much fun getting to know them.

Julian just got out of a toxic relationship. A relationship that he had been in for way too long. That he should have broken off years ago, but didn't. That he made sure to blow up in one epic way so that there was no going back to it. But now he is a bit lost. He doesn't want to be weak and the guy everyone is talking about. He doesn't know how to trust anyone, except his friends and bandmates. He went away and tried to clear his head, but it didn't work as well as he had hoped. He is still bruised and battered when he comes back, but luckily his manager offers him the use of his beach house for a few months while he tries to find a new place to live without so many memories. While he tries to figure out his next steps because he isn't sure he can go back to being in the band. Not when everyone knew what was happening with his ex for so long. How can he trust them again? How can he face them when they all will be thinking about what a loser he is? He can't do it.

Charlotte is one of the most genuinely kind people you will ever meet. She will do whatever she can to help anyone in need. When she first meets Julian she thinks he is like one of her clients. Someone that maybe is homeless, or just released from rehab, or something like that. Someone who could use some help finding a job and making their life a little less...hopeless. She is amazing at her job and how she works herself to the bone for others is probably a bit much at times, but she can't help it. When she meets Julian she doesn't know who he is. She doesn't know what is going on with him, but if she can she wants to help. Even if it is just buying him a cup of coffee when he doesn't have the money. And oh, their first meeting was kind of hilarious to watch. Because Julian was definitely a jerk, but you also understood why he was. He is used to people using him and wanting him for his fame and fortune, so he doesn't know what to do with Charlotte. With someone who seems to not want anything. With someone who just did something nice and is happy to leave it at that. With someone so incredibly kind and wonderful.

These two definitely didn't hit it off right away, but there was still something there between them. And they definitely have some bumps in the road, how could they not when Julian keeps part of himself closed off from Charlotte and doesn't seem to understand when he makes the same mistakes he did with his ex. Or that he hasn't really moved on from that and it is still affecting him and his relationship with here. These two were wonderful to read. I loved Charlotte so so much. She is one of my favorite people. And Julian is super sweet as well even if he messes up a lot. Even if he needs to work on getting out of his ways that he was used to. Even if he has a lot to work through and figure out. These two were so sweet to read and I loved them so much.

One More Moment by Samantha Chase is the third book in her Band on the Run Series. The books can be read as standalopnes, anyway, I recommend to read the books in order. The previous books are One More Kiss and One More Promise, Paige and Dylan´s story.

Julian Grayson is the bands drummer. He´s about to marry, but jumps from the waggon at the last moment. He leaves to find himself. Month´s later he´s back and the first kind person who crosses his way is Charlotte Clark. She´s a social worker and assumes Julian needs her help. She´s such a do gooder that she goes full steam. They have this crazy insta-chemistry and Julian can´t get her out of his head. But he has demons and issues, like the other band members.

Band on the Run is a heartwarming series and One More Moment its right in. The characters are great and I loved the story and writing. I give sweet 4,5 stars.

Wow, what can I say?? I absolutely loved this story and love, love this author. Samantha Chase never disappoints and this story is no exception. She grabbed me from the very first word (actually from the synopsis) until the very end, which I didn't want to come. I loved this whole series and hate there isn't another story coming but I know others will be in the works. I loved the excellent written storyline, character development and all the chemistry. I absolutely love how Samantha makes me feel as if I part of the story and living it with the characters albeit I'm only peeking in. I loved all the emotions it made me feel...this is a must read for everyone. Grab it today.

Great story about a rock star drummer Julian, needs a break from everything going on in his life! When he comes back he meets a woman, Charlotte while in line for coffee! She makes an assumption, he doesn't correct her and they just go from there!
These two connect and you get all the feels from them! I enjoyed the story so much I need to go back and read the others in the series! 5 stars grab this when it comes out!

ONE MORE MOMENT is the third (and final ?) instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult BAND ON THE RUN romance series focusing on the members of the rock band Shaughnessy. This is the rock band Shaughnessy’s drummer Julian Grayson, and vocational rehabilitation counsellor Charlotte Clark’s story line. ONE MORE MOMENT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for background and cohesion. The BAND ON THE RUN series is a spin-off from the author’s SHAUGHNESSY BROTHERS series.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Julian and Charlotte) ONE MORE MOMENT focuses on the building relationship between Shaughnessy’s drummer Julian Grayson, and vocational rehabilitation counsellor Charlotte Clark. Three months earlier Julian stood at the altar waiting for his bride to be, a woman who was about to pay the piper for years of infidelity and humiliating our story line hero. Fast forward to present day wherein Julian returns from three months on the road, going everywhere and nowhere, only to return to an empty house in Malibu with nothing to do. A quick trip to a local coffee shop finds Julian coming face to face with his future, a woman who believes Julian to be homeless and down on his luck. Enter social worker /vocational rehabilitation counsellor Charlotte Clark, and the woman with whom Julian will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship and love between Charlotte and Julian, and the potential fall-out as Julian begins to revert back to a familiar pattern but a pattern that now includes a permanent time-off from the band that he loves.

Charlotte Clark is a social worker who wants to save everyone including the stranger she meets at her favorite coffee shop, a stranger who calls to Charlotte like a moth to a flame. Charlotte has no idea as to Julian’s true identity although he wasn’t quite forthcoming with his current predicament. Julian Grayson is anything but homeless but is willing to accept Charlotte’s help in order to keep himself busy for the foreseeable future. Helping out at the shelter means ‘paying it forward’ but paying it forward in order to be closer to the woman with whom he is falling in love. As Julian’s mood and emotional drama improve his friends suggest getting the band back together for another tour not realizing Julian has no plans to go back out on the road.

The relationship between Julian and Charlotte is one of immediate attraction but an attraction tempered by Charlotte’s mistaken belief in Julian’s status. When the truth is finally revealed Julian and Charlotte’s slow building romance turns into something more until Charlotte begins to push a little too hard, as Julian is unable to move on from the past. The $ex scenes fade to black and are mostly implied.

All of the previous story line characters and couples play secondary and supporting roles including all of the members of the rock band Shaughnessy. Julian’s band mates are desperate for Julian’s return but Julian’s heart isn’t in it for the long haul.

ONE MORE MOMENT is a story of family, friendship, trust and love. The premise is realistic and heart warming; the romance is passionate and sweet; the characters are broken and energetic. ONE MORE MOMENT is an emotional, inspiring and sensual look at a second chance at love for one man who struggles to trust and love again.

Charlotte is a character that I can relate to. If I saw a band member at a coffee shop I would probably not know who they were and would happily offer to pay for their coffee if they didn’t have their wallet without expectations. Then I would be curious about the person, just because that is the type of person that I am. I love that Charlotte was clueless, I disliked that Julian didn’t come clean with her right away. Yet, I understood why he felt he had to protect who he was and keep his identity a secret; too many people have expectations when they find out that a person has fame and money.

I have read all the Band on the Run books so far. Each book is a different band member’s story. The non-featured band members all make appearances in each other books giving the reader a chance to catch up on the happenings of their lives. I got to learn about the weddings, the babies, and where their lives are now while learning about a new band member.

This is a fun series. You get a glimpse into the life of a successful band and how that success can affect the band members. It is also a good reminder that while they are celebrities, they are real people with normalish lives also.

Do you believe that a random act of kindness can change your life?
Social worker Charlotte Clark pays it forward and buys coffee and muffins for the unkempt, cranky guy ahead of her in line at her local coffee shop. The man starts to argue with her and she smiles and responds ‘pay it forward.’ Charlotte has no clue that she’s bought Shaughnessy drummer Julian Grayson breakfast while Julian has no idea what ‘pay it forward means.’ Charlotte’s charity drew me into the story. She is genuine, compassionate person who loves the beach, her job and her community. I adored Charlotte and her desire to help people.
After leaving his cheating ex-fiancé at the altar, Julian is back in California after a three -month cross country trip. He’s angry, emotionally burned out and he’s avoiding his Shaughnessy band members; Riley, Matt and Dylan. He is so surprised that Charlotte doesn’t want something from him- an autograph, picture or a hookup. He is so jaded that he can’t accept a cup of coffee from someone without immediately thinking the worst.
People ask me why I read Samantha Chase’s novels. I ADORE her characters. I can connect with Ms. Chase’s honest, flawed characters. You might see a glimpse of your brother, sister, husband or best friend in her stories. Each character is unique and grows within the story. I connected with Charlotte and Julian’s story immediately. I loved watching this couple who seemed so very different fall in love. Loving Charlotte brought out the best in Julian. I loved the scene when he asked Charlotte what she would do if she had an entire day off. He made her dreams of reading at the beach come true; a simple but heartfelt gesture. The couple has obstacles to overcome. Julian needs to acknowledge his feelings towards his ex-fiancé and move forward. Most importantly, Julian needs to accept that Charlotte loves him; not what his money can buy her.
One More Moment is so much more than a rock band book. This novel tackles several social issues. Homelessness, unemployment, trust, communication and commitment are integral pieces of the storyline. Samantha Chase’s strong narrative voice shines in this story as Julian struggles with anger, loss and self-doubt. Even though the chemistry between the couple is off the charts, falling in love doesn’t come easy for Charlotte and Julian. Their struggles are real and their journey had several unexpected twists and turns.
If you are looking for a book with all the feels… one click ONE MORE MOMENT! I am sure you will adore this compassionate character driven story!
I enjoyed each of the Band OnThe Run novels. Each book tackled a tough subject – ill-advised career decisions, drunk driving, anger and avoidance—and wove in humor, compassion and love. I connected with each character and became immersed in their journeys. I recommend each one of the books within the series

I enjoyed each of the books in the Band on the Run series from Samantha Chase and have to say I think One More Moment was my favorite of the series. I really liked Julian Grayson, but have to say Charlotte Clark was my favorite character in this story.
Charlotte honestly had no idea who Julian was when she offered to pay for his coffee when he forgot his wallet one morning. I loved she really just wanted him to pay it forward to someone another day, yet he couldn't stay away from her. Julian has so many trust issues thanks to his ex Dena. He honestly can't believe there is someone out there who would do something nice for someone else without wanting something in return. I'm not going to lie, while I loved Charlotte from the moment she appeared on the page, Julian was hard to love in the beginning. He was so distrustful and suspicious of everything in the beginning, while Charlotte looks for the good in people first. When I say this is a story of opposites attract, I mean it.
I think I loved One More Moment best because there was so much growth of characters in this book. Charlotte had to let go of her comfort zone to step into a relationship with Julian, who lives in a world so different from her own. Julian had to learn to not only trust again, but to open up and actually discuss everything that was at the root of his messed up relationship with his ex. While it was hard for Charlotte to be in this new world of wealth, I worried so much more about Julian opening up about his past and learning from past mistakes.
I loved when Charlotte and Julian were together. While their connection was there from the very beginning, it was more of a slow burn and sweet romance than a hot romance. The chemistry was super strong, but Ms. Chase writes her romances on more of the sweet side of things and I find when I pick up one of her books it's like I need that sweet romance without even realizing it until I've already been pulled in.
One More Moment was a wonderful story and I highly recommend it to fans of sweet contemporary romance stories. While I feel like you can totally read it as a stand-alone story, the relationships between the band mates and their history is much easier to understand if you have read each of the other books in the series first. That being said, Ms. Chase does a wonderful job filling in the reader on the back-story of the other characters.
Rating: 4 Stars (B)

Julian is the drummer for Shaughnessy who after the destruction of his personal life is taking a sabbatical from both his life and his career in order to try and find some perspective on his life. Rather than it decreasing the pain he finds himself becoming more bitter and withdrawn until he is the recipient of a random act of kindness.

Charlotte is a social worker who is always willing to help others in need so when she sees what appears to be a homeless man with no wallet she quickly steps in to pay for his coffee. She wasn’t expecting gratitude but being polite shouldn’t be too much to ask.

After his initial belief that she was only doing it because she recognized him Julian is intrigued by Charlotte and likes the fact that she doesn’t know who he is. As they spend time together he realizes Charlotte is exactly what she seems with no ulterior motives, but will his past destroy what they could have together?

Although they may be opposites these two are perfect for each other and together make each other stronger. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

One More Moment was a heartwarming and captivating read from beginning to end. Once I started I didn't want to stop until I knew how Charlotte and Julian's story would end. I have to say I absolutely loved this book. I mean what's not to love about an amazing "feel good" read that leaves you with a giant smile on your face?

I have to admit that opening scene with Julian shocked me and then had me hysterically laughing. I pretty much fell for him from just that chapter alone. Down on his luck and not knowing who to trust Julian can't believe his luck when someone offers to "pay it forward" and help him out.

Charlotte is a sweet, hardworking social worker who decides to help an unfortunate stranger. Intrigued by Charlotte and her failure to recognize him Julian can't help but want to know more about her. I loved the bond that formed between these two and how relatable their characters were. Charlotte was the perfect match for Julian and I enjoyed how she opened his eyes up to the world around him and helped him learn that life is what you make it. I really enjoyed watching the growth Julian underwent throughout this book.

Charlotte and Julian's story gave me all the feels and had me laughing, swooning, a tad irritated, teary eyed, and everything in between. Jam packed with tons of emotion, a stubborn rocker you can't help but love and a social worker with a heart of gold One More Moment is a heartwarming and highly entertaining read you won't want to miss!

Fun, thoughtfully written romance

The is the first book I've read by Samantha Chase and hadn't realized it was the last book in the Shaughnessy Brothers. While I found the secondary couples interesting and may pick up their books this story read well as a stand alone story.
Charlotte and Julian's first meet made me smile. I think the author thoughtfully talked about real life issues and developed very believable characters that drew you in. The plot line flowed well and I think the ending was absolutely perfect.

I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley.
