Another sweet read from Chase, with appealing and likable characters and hard-to-believe but somehow believable stories!

I absolutely love reading Samantha Chase's books and One More Moment was just as amazing! The characters were so complex and it was awesome to watch their personalities unfold.

This is the fourth in the author’s series about the troubles and romances of a hit rock group. I’ve read the other books but I can’t remember any of them. That is the way it is with me and Samantha Chase’s books. There are a whole lot of interrelated characters between this series and the broader family romances that are connected to one of the members of the band and I can’t remember any of the details from their books. They show up to some degree in this book or get mentioned and I have no idea who they are even though I know I read the books. That says something about her writing, I guess, or my memory.
In this novel, the drummer of the band, Julian, starts off by unveiling how his fiance has been cheating on him and only wants to marry him because of his fame and money. But he chooses to do it at their wedding. I was hooked from that point. Julian seems to be psychologically destroyed by his fiance’s cheating and his embarrassment wondering who knew and was laughing behind his back. He disappears traveling around the country for a few months and then reappears in Malibu still unable to do anything and unsure if he wants to perform with the band anymore.
He meets Charlotte who is a social worker helping people find jobs and volunteering at a homeless shelter. She has no idea who Julian is and thinks he’s a poor guy who needs help as she pays for his coffee and muffin. Once Julian gets over thinking she’s just pretending to get close to a celebrity, he’s entranced by her goodness. He starts helping her out and, in the process, begins to recover his equilibrium. Charlotte is a great character and a real role model of goodness in how she lives to help others and doesn’t want Julian to buy her expensive gifts. I got a bit impatient with Julian. He needed to just get over himself. He was cheated on - plenty of people have suffered much worse, but why should he screw over his good friends in the band or all the people who work for them just because he’s in a funk? And he seems repeatedly clueless about Charlotte and how she might react to an expensive surprise gift.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

This moving love story is about losing yourself, new beginnings, loss and hope. Julian is a rockstar hiding from his mistakes and Charlotte is a social worker hellbent on saving everyone she can. When they first meet, Charlotte mistakenly believes Julian is down on his luck and needs her help, and Julian assumes she's just like "everyone else" and wants something from him...Watching them work through their misunderstandings and learn more about each other and from each other is fun and truly touching. I loved watching Julian's wonder at discovering just how different Charlotte is from the women in his past. I loved watching Julian grow as a character, but I also loved seeing that the road to true love does not run smooth...If you ignore your pain, if you don't deal with your issues, you are destined to repeat old patterns. I found myself wanting to throw a shoe at Julian's head a time or two, and the book brought me to tears more than once. Ms. Chase draws detailed, REAL characters that you can relate to and understand. I FELT for both Julian and Charlotte, I understood their pain and their decisions. I rooted for them, and I got very involved with their story. I wanted to go to Charlotte's apartment and eat ice cream with her, and I wanted to volunteer at the shelter with them...it's a very involving story and I enjoyed it very much.

How do you spend a relaxing week at the beach? You load up on books and you definitely include this one.
The Band Shaughnessy has had its fair share of trouble with its bandmates and Julian Grayson is not immune. Fresh off a three month hiatus from life he has decided that maybe it’s time for him to quit the band. A very public breakup from his ex-fiancée and a circus of rumors of her infidelity he’s pretty sure he wants to quit everything. He just wants to live a life out of the spotlight; however, meeting Charlotte gives him a glimpse of what giving up everything includes.
Charlotte is a healer and a fixer by nature. Her job as a social worker allows her to do what comes natural to her. But Charlotte may have just met the one person she can’t heal or fix. Julian’s a real tough nut to crack and teaches Charlotte that sometime you can’t fix or heal someone but you can be the stability they need to fix themselves.
I really enjoyed Charlotte and Julian. Although things seemed to move a little fast, I liked the way their relationship started and how it progressed. There wasn’t anything in particular about this book and story line that jumped out at me but the flow was easy and the characters were really likable, all of the characters. This is book 3 in the Band on the Run Series and a spin off from The Shaughnessy Brothers Series so there are quite a bit of recurring characters or mention of them. It did get a little overwhelming reading about past characters but it wasn’t distracting, in fact it’s making me want to go back and read those books.
Great beach read to finish out the summer.

I really like this author and I liked this book, however, it was not my favorite. I kind of wanted to beat both characters over the head on multiple occasions.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher.**
The Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series has been one I have enjoyed throughout and One More Moment was a perfect addition! I will say that this book will be more enjoyable if you have read the others in the series. The other characters are present and having some knowledge of their backstory is helpful.
Julian Grayson has always been the most mysterious of the Shaughnessy band members. It was clear he was the drummer and that everyone around him thought he could do better in the girlfriend department, but that was all we knew. What I can tell you is that Jules is SO much more than that and I was so excited to learn more about him. He's passionate, loyal, stubborn and he's wickedly talented.
Charlotte Clark loves to help people. She is a social worker and wants to do the best she can for those that come through her office door and sometimes it is at her own expense. She's passionate and she's committed to her work without a doubt, but she wants more than that. She wants the family and the white picket fence and what she wouldn't give for a beachfront view.
When Julian and Charlotte meet in line at the coffee house, Charlotte mistakes the circumstances and believes that Julian is in need of her professional skills. Liking that Charlotte has no clue who he is, Julian doesn't correct her. As the two begin to spend more and more time together, the attraction grows and finally it can't be stopped any longer. The question is, will the baggage from Julian's previous relationship not only tank this one before it really gets started, but will it also end his music career?
This book was fantastic from the start. I loved all of the characters and the way that everything unfolded. It seemed like this could really happen in the real world. To me, this book was about finding your inner strength to overcome the things that are put in your path and you have to be ready to deal with them to finally come to that conclusion. Watching the way that both Charlotte and Julian grew, both separately and as a couple, was lovely to see and it should show people that sometimes you have to lean on others to get back to where you really need to be.

One More Moment by Samantha Chase is the best novel yet in this Band on the Run series. I could not tear my gaze away from the pages. Heat plus, raw emotions, and flaws that make it super easy to connect with the characters, make this a must read. Inside, is a famous rock musician who was badly burned. His ex burned him repeatedly and broke his pride. Julien is so full of anger that his character had this heavy weight constantly keeping him from being happy. Everyone tells him what and how he should live. He's not ready to let go of his anger. That was until he met, a beautiful kind hearted woman. Charlotte has a way of stunning the drummer. He expects her to ask him for something. Yet she continuously proved she wanted nothing more than to help him. Julien needs to let lose his anger and face his past. Otherwise, his present happiness won't be his future. And Julien wants Charlotte in his future more than he knows.
Once more, Samantha Chase has created a masterpiece. One that everyone can relate to...as well as remembering way after the last page is read. The characters made me fall in love and root for their happiness. Julien was a stubborn man. That made his fight tougher and more realistic. I liked how he was an average joe, who looked good, and had a heart of gold despite his wealth and music talent. Charlotte was just an ordinary woman helping the homeless finds jobs. She complimented Julien and was his light to his darkness. Both were strong and independent characters. I cried for Julien's pain, I laughed at how ridiculous Julien's jealousy was, and I melted when they had their good moments. I cannot read a book by this writer without my heart and soul getting attached every damn time. Overall, I highly recommend this sexy as hell contemporary romance to all.

My review has been posted to Goodreads.
Review has also been tweeted as usual.
Thank you! :c)

Just wow with Charlotte and Julian. One More Moment is a wonderful read full of heart and healing. If you have read any of Band on the Run series yet then you know who the Shaughnessy Brothers is/are. Julian is fighting some demons of his own making. He got his revenge on his fiancé and now is trying to figure out his life going forward. A chance meeting with Charlotte and Julian is trying to fight that trust issue he has. You can kind of say he is a goner once he meets her. Now Charlotte is super sweet. She has this lovely caring personality and wants to help anyone down in their luck. Even as she finds out what Julian is hiding I love how she still pushes him to be his best even when he may not be ready. I love the little bit of broody angst that Julian gives off and how his band mates rally around him. Watching the chances in Julian through out One More Moment is beautiful. I just love the how much Charlotte changes him for the better. They are simply wonderful together and can't help but to fall in love right along with them. Such an amazing read.

The opening of this book pulls you in immediately. Its his wedding day, and his wedding day doesn't happen so he sets off for 3 months of soul searching/time out time. He is crashing at a house in Malibu picking up the pieces of his life and trying to figure it out. He's a famous drummer in the band Shaughnessy Brothers.
Enter Charlotte.....
Charlotte is a happy, friendly, do-gooder. She is at a coffee shop, waiting in line behind this guy who looks like he's down on his luck. She is a social worker, but helps people with jobs, and everything else when they're down on their luck. She assumes he's down on his with the way he looks, and the fact that he ordered coffee and food, and realizes he forgot his wallet she comes to the rescue and pays for his order. He doesn't get it. People usually want something from him, and he realizes she doesn't know who he is. So, he plays along. He shows up and volunteers, doesn't give up any information, but eventually people do realize who he is.
This was a cute read. For some reason, I couldn't feel the connection between these two. While I thought the story was cute, I didn't find that they had much chemistry. I wanted a little more of a connection. But overall, the story was cute and I've enjoyed this series with the guys.

Julian has had his share of drama while he’s been with the band Shaughnessy. When he returns from a time away, he meets a remarkable woman who doesn’t know who he is. Charlotte is a truly kind person who works to help others. While she and Julian work through their issues, there are times I didn’t think they’d be able to do it, but Samantha Chase can pull characters through amazing scenes in order to help them get their happily ever after! I loved reconnecting with all of the other characters from the Shaughnessy band group. I think Mick needs his own HEA! Hint! Hint!

This was a terrific story of finding one’s true happiness and second chances. Julian hid from the world for months due to embarrassment. Charlotte is dedicated to helping those find themselves and get back on their feet and to what they love. So when these two met there was bound to be fireworks and some soul searching. Once I started reading I could not put this book down. A definite must read!!

I love this series and I really loved this book! Julian was devastated by his lying, cheating fiance. Now, months later, he has come back to resume his life but he is seriously in a bad way. He meets social worker Charlotte in one of the best first meetings I have read in a long time! They both fall fast but Julian's past threatens to tear them apart.
I have really enjoyed this spin off series and this was my favorite of the three books. Julian was deeply hurt and my heart broke for him so many times. Charlotte honestly had the patience of a saint but at the same time was strong and sassy. This was a fantastic conclusion to the series!!

What a way to wrap up the band. This book is full of twists and turns. Charlotte has no idea or care who Julian is. Julian is so much in his head he couldn’t believe she didn’t know him or want anything from him. Julian will need to deal with his shit if he is going to be able to keep Charlotte. This book will inspire you to pay it forward. I also love the updates on all the Shaughnessy‘ sand members of the band. Will Mick get a story? That could be fun.

One More Moment is my favorite book of this series. Julian is serious and intense and Charlotte is sweet, sexy and sassy. In the beginning Julian did not want to admit his attraction to Charlotte. He was buried in the past. Julian is holding in his emotions. In the past his pride and and his heart were damaged. Charlotte understands he was hurt and accepts where he is now. Julian wants to make Charlotte happy he is tender and caring with her. But he doesn't share all of himself with Charlotte. I love once Julian lets Charlotte in his heart and lets go of his past. This is very character driven story that will pull at you heartstrings. This is my favorite book of Samantha's to date.

This story had a great start but you could see right away that Julian was in a toxic place and the relationship could only be doomed but you know that it was something worthing fighting for and you just have to wait for him to figure it out.
Julian Grayson, the drummer for Shaughnessy, just ended his five year relationship in a big way, by showing video of his cheating girlfriend at their wedding. He then took off for a few months to be alone and get his head together. But even three months away didn’t help much.
He is back in Malibu but obviously not looking his best when Charlotte Clark mistakes him for someone who is homeless and tries to convince him to come to the shelter and she will help him get back on his feet. At first Julian thinks its a ploy to get something from him, since someone is always trying to get something from him. He isn’t sure why he bothers but he goes to check out Charlotte and her crisis center and stays to help.
Charlotte might not have recognized him but not everyone is oblivious so he has to confess to her the ruse sooner rather than later.
Things between them start off well between them. They have an instant spark and his bandmates really see how Charlotte is affecting his mood for the better. But Julian still hasn’t dealt with his feelings or his anger. He is not really to play again, and doesn’t believe he ever wants to return to the band. Julian’s ex-girlfriend always wanted more and more things from Julian, but when he begins to buy larger and larger things for Charlotte, when all she wants is to spend time with him, to apologize for small disagreements, we see he is falling into the same old habits. Is Julian as much to blame for his girlfriend’s growing greed and unhappiness?
There is no question as the relationship grows that Julian hasn’t dealt with what happened in the past. He has too much anger and rage about wasting all those years with someone who cheated on him constantly, and it is ruining the growing relationship between Charlotte and Julian.
The meet/cute between Charlotte and Julian was adorable but with Julian’s many issues that he was refusing to deal with, you knew things weren’t going to go smoothly for them. Charlotte with her calm demeanor and problem solving skills (and psych degrees) did a lot to try to help him, but he simply wasn’t ready to deal with things and kept getting angry whenever she tried, or his friends tried to discuss what was next for the band.
I enjoyed the story and finished it in a day. Sadly, you knew there would be a blow up and could only hope that Julian didn’t do too much irrevocable damage to his life before he realized he needed help.

The epic tale of the Shaughnessy family and by extension Riley's band-mates in Shaughnessy comes to a fitting conclusion with Julian's book. He has been a bit absent from the rest of the series due to the epic controlling nature of his cheating fiancée but we finally get to know him in this book
It starts with a stunt and you see that Julian has finally reached the end of his tether and decides to take a road trip to nowhere. On his return he has a hard time settling and meets Charlotte completely by chance when she pays for his coffee after he forgets his wallet. After a misunderstanding when they first meet Julian and Charlotte hit it off and although there are a few bumps along the way (what with him holding other people's choices against her) they finally get their HEA!
