Falling in love with Abigail Hughes at a young age Garrett Wollstonecraft thought to spare her from his families damning curse he decides to foolishly let go of her and live a lonely loveless life. Fourteen years later Abigail is in his life again, and she’s resentful and hurt over the betrayal of their love and the secret she had to endure or else be ruined.
I loved this story of second chances the story flowed well and the characters were likeable. The connection between them was well developed and their attraction felt real. Lots of emotions and villains make this for a page turning satisfying read.
I recieved a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest unbiased opinion.

I really liked the characters in this story as well as the extended family element. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 Star is my frustration with the main characters and their romance. I am interested in reading more stories in this series.

Oh Boy... This was not the best in the series so far. The first book was good. I just didn't engaged with the characters at all. I found them dull and a bit boring. Hopefully the next book will be better.
I received this ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review that is all my own.

DNF. I usually give a book until about 30% in to capture my interest. I got to about 40% and gave up. The primary romance between Abigail and Garrett didn't interest me. I could not connect with either character. I also felt that Garrett's reasoning for breaking things off with Abigail previously were weak and silly. Even with a villain lurking around the corner (which is usually an added bonus for me), I still didn't really care what happened to our H and h. This read missed the mark for me.
