Ah, back in the world of some of my favorite vampires. True to the series, Zanetti sucks you in, pun intended, and the wild ride doesn't stop until you turn the last page.

I have been waiting for this book since I heard it was first announced. I love the dark protector series, and I have reread the books many times. I was so curious about who Ronan was, and where he came from. It was a good book, and I loved the addition of Ronan to the Kayrs family. With that being said, my only issue was with Faith. I like strong heroines who are intelligent and not weak. I found Faith to be annoying. She was supposed to be so smart, and yet she did not come across that way in the book. She did not seem to fit in with Zanetti’s other female characters. This was not one of my favorite books by Zanetti, but I am still anxiously waiting for the next book. Hopefully, thee next books will feature the Zanetti characters that we know and love.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

Rebecca Zanetti is back with another novel in her Dark Protector series. Vampires Faith is Ronan and Faith's story.

Faith's life is forever changed when she is asked to help a patient who is in a coma. The minute she walks through the patients room, he awakens. He is the most gorgeous man Faith has ever seen, but what stops her in her tracks is that he has fangs. Vampire. Her mind whispers. But how?

Ronan has been through hell these past centuries. He sacrificed everything for his kind and is in an endless sleep. Until he wakes up, and his mate is right there beside him. She is everything he could ever imagine. But how will he tell Faith the truth? That vampires are real? How will he get her to trust him?

Faith and Ronan square off left and right.
She has very little faith in the god like vampire.
But once Ronan shows her that he will do whatever it takes to protect his little mate, she falls in love.

Vampire's Faith was a thrilling romance fueled with adventure.
A must read.

Admittedly, I only read one of the previous books in this series, but I don’t think it was that hard to dive in here. Sure, there is probably a boatload of baggage associated with all the characters we met (or re-met) in this installment, but this could easily be a standalone book that pushes a bigger story.

Faith is a doctor who uses her hidden gift to bring coma patients out of their comas. Sadly, this talent appears to work with everyone but her sister. On one of her many stops on her worldwide rounds, she finds herself in a creepy hospital looking at a gorgeous many who looks nothing like a coma patient. Trapped for years in a collapse of some sort, he should be banged up and wasting away, but its as if time stopped for him. Upon his sudden re-awakening, she finds herself thrown into a world where vampires exist and a war is brewing.

Ronan sacrificed himself to trap a big bad in an alternate dimension. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but, even knowing his awakening means his dimension has failed, he is very happy to be free and looking at his fated mate. Having dreamed of her for years, he knows her immediately. With Faith, however, that is not the case. She’s much more comfortable with facts and figures (and somehow explains away her magical gift). With just about everyone after them in one way or another, they are forced to work together and develop some level of trust.

These two have chemistry that lights up the pages! The sizzle is real and how they are able to resist it is beyond me. It takes some serious life and death situations to finally smash them together and force them to acknowledge their bond. I really enjoyed the side characters who we may or may not have known before and if future books give them a happy ending, I’m all in.

Dark Protectors #8, They're back baby! With all new characters and bad guys along with some familiar faces. This is the start to a new story arc and can be the starting point, but honestly there are introductions to some characters that would make more sense if you have read the previous books. First and foremost I hated Faith. Her character just royally pissed me off she bordered on TSTL, and I hate that term so I don't use it lightly. I can go on and on about how and why I hate Faith but instead I'm going to talk about how much I loved everything else about this book. I love the idea of The Seven, a secret group that was created to protect everything from this great big bad. A big bad so evil they were barely able to contain it the first time. Ronan and one of his brother's volunteered to be the guardians of his prison in another realm, but seven years ago something happened and it knocked Ronan out of his bubble he's been in a coma ever since...until she walks in the room. Dr. Faith Cooper is a neurologist who has a special connection to people who are in a coma. She got called in to consult with a John Doe when she first sees him she assumes it's joke, no way that perfect specimen of a man could have been in a coma for seven years, and then he wakes up and starts talking crazy and then kidnaps her. Faith's life has spiraled out of control and she doesn't know who to trust, Ronan and his overbearing alpha maleness who keeps saying she's his mate or Dayne who says the exact opposite of whatever Ronan says but may have a way to bring her sister out of her coma either way her life will never be the same again.

Overall, aside from my hatred of Faith I really did enjoy this book, Zanetti is great with action and romance and this one got pretty hot. I can't wait for Logan's book or Adare's book. Zanetti has created book crack with this series she gets you hooked and there's no turning back. I can't wait to find out more about The Seven and the evil Kurjans and what's going to happen with Hope.

With Vampire’s Faith, we return to the Dark Protectors world along with Ronan Kayrs. Ronan has been in another dimension for many years. When his part of the protective wall fails, Ronan wakes in a world totally unfamiliar to him, and to his mate. Faith is a scientist, a doctor. She is having a hard time believing that Ronan is sane, let alone that he is a vampire and she is his mate. These two make a great pair. Challenge is a good word to describe their relationship.

This installment of Dark Protectors is a familiar enough that the reader glides right back into the Realm and its fight against evil. The Kurjans are still here and scheming against the vampires. We get a glimpse of familiar characters and a hint of what has been happening in the Realm. The characters are strong, determined, and protective. The story is a page-turner – exciting, intense and dangerous. Vampire’s Faith is a winner, an excellent addition to the series.

The Dark Protector series by Rebecca Zanetti was my first paranormal romance way back when. I must disclose it quickly became my very favorite series ever!!!! It sent me on a wonderful fast ride to find all things paranormal romance. However, I kept coming back the to Kayrs men. I have re-read and re-listened to the audibles at least ten times. You must understand my excitement and sadness when we awaited the "last" book in the series Marked. I needed to know how it ended and was sad because I truly loved this world full of amazing characters who grew throughout the series. Then to my surprise we got a spin off series The Realm Enforcers, Which made me happy because a few of our characters would make an appearance here and there. Then it was time to say goodbye again.. Then some time later an announcement of Vampire's Faith.. Insert Happy Dance right here!!!!! You can say I had a countdown.

I pre-ordered asap. There was no doubt I would be reading this immediately. So I did get an early copy and read it then listened to the audible the day it came out. Can I tell you I re-read it and then re-listened in case I missed something.

It was wonderful being back in that world and very well written from this side of things. I was wondering how she would continue the story when we had an ending in Marked. But, in usual Rebecca fashion she did it and kept you enthralled where you couldn't put it down. I loved Ronan and Faith together. The story makes those of us who are DP fans nostalgic and new readers can easily follow along without missing a beat.

“I know your name because I spent four hundred years seeing your face and feeling your touch in my dreams.”

How amazing is that? Ronan fits right in to what we have become to love and be irritated with a Kayrs male.

I can't wait for the next installment. I will be honest this is going to be hard for me. I have never had to wait for the entire series. I came into the game toward the end so I had read like four of the books in a row. This is going to take all my book patience in the world :) Read Vampire's Faith you won't be disappointed.

Alpha male vampire... One of my favorite type of characters. This is book 8 in the series and having not read the others followed the plot very well. Ms. Zanetti's writing style is smooth and enticing. I was turning the pages quickly to find out what happened next. Can't wait for the next novel!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a great book. Lots of action, funny moments and a good storyline. What do you do when you wake up from a ritualistic sleep.state that allowed you to keep a great evil from taking over this world and killing countless people? You went to sleep in the horse and buggy era tinker up to airplanes ,cellphones and your mate who has no idea what you are.. I could not put the book down. .

What can I say that will give this book the justice it deserves? I love this series and Vampire Faith it a fitting title and story for the Vampire King Ronan Kayrs and Dr. Faith Cooper.

This is another book that will be making its way to my favorites list. The character dynamics and the storyline are so well written I just breathed in every word, taken within its very pages as if I was there living it with the characters. I loved this book and Highly recommend you pick it up and start reading.

I have a confession to make. Other than a novella, I’m new to the Dark Protectors series. I’ve read quite a few of Ms. Zanetti’s books, including the Realm Enforcers. However, I really have no knowledge of what is going on in this series. But hey, it’s Rebecca Zanetti. Even jumping in mid-series, I can’t go wrong.

Mid-series? Really? It doesn’t feel like it. I feel like I am starting from the very beginning with Vampire’s Faith. Oh, haha! Love the play on words. Totally though faith was going to be a spiritual thing, not a character’s name. Faith, I like her. Smart, strong, fierce and still able to make mistakes. In other words, she may be a doctor but she’s still less than perfect. Ronan, all I can say is YUM! Protective, charming, fierce…everything you can love about a protector from the past. He’s adapting easily to the future he is now facing and there are quite a few humorous moments to go with it. Faith and Ronan together, oh my. From stubbornness to doubt to finally believing, sparks are going to be flying here. Honestly, my favorite parts about them were when things started getting hot and heavy…and then there’s a knock at the door. *Snickers*

So, like I said, I’m new to the series and did not realize that I was jumping in mid-series. That is until Garrett and Logan make their appearance. Oh wait, I know these two! I enjoyed them every time they made an appearance. That’s when things clicked for me. Dang, I really need to go back to the beginning. I need to learn more about them, all of them. The ultimate evil that Ronan was guarding, the motives of the Kurjans, Garrett and Logan, and especially about Dage.

I received this book from The JeepDiva with the express purpose of an honest review. The opinions, contents, and rating of this review are solely mine

I'm so glad to get back to the world of the Dark Protectors. I wasn't sure how Roanan fit in this world but after reading this book, I have to say I love the new story ARC. Ronan was super alpha but it was cute how he was trying to fit into his new world. And, although I had a couple of what-the-heck-is-she-doing moments, I really liked Faith. I'm so ready for more.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts, opinions, and reviews are my own.

The Dark Protectors are Back!

Vampire King Ronan Kayrs wasn’t supposed to survive the savage sacrifice he willingly endured to rid the world of the ultimate evil. He wasn’t supposed to emerge in this time and place, and he sure as hell wasn’t supposed to finally touch the woman who’s haunted his dreams for centuries. Yet here he is, in an era where vampires are hidden, the enemy has grown stronger, and his mate has no idea of the power she holds.

Dr. Faith Cooper is flummoxed by irrefutable proof that not only do vampires exist . . . they’re hot blooded, able to walk in sunlight, and shockingly sexy. Faith has always depended on science, but the restlessness she feels around this predatory male defies reason. Especially when it grows into a hunger only he can satisfy—that is if they can survive the evil hunting them both.

Review:

This is the eighth book in the series and i have missed some books between the last one I read and this one. I think I really missed some great back story/references by having not read the other books in between. It is great paranormal romance and fully intend to read the rest of the books to catch up on what I missed.

I love when opposites attract and that is definitely the case in this. I love Faith she is strong, smart, caring, and willing to do what she needs to to help those she cares for. Now Ronan, the hero, is the strong warrior alpha type, but has been locked away for hundreds of years. From the moment Ronan wakes from his coma and finds Faith, they really have the instant chemistry but it is the love/hate kind. She has had a hard life and is having a hard time coming to terms with everything thrown at her and wants to concentrate on saving her sister. She wants Ronan and the intimate scenes between them are hot, but Ronan wants her to mate with him (which for them is for life) to help secure her power. Of course, Faith says no...smart girl with a proposition like that who would say yes...lol Poor Ronan though really does fall hard for the girl and they do work out their insecurities ,misunderstandings and stubbornness. These are two very likable characters that I think anyone could relate to.

There is lot of action and machinations going on in this book, all are not answered in this continuing story line. I cannot wait to see what happens in future books, especially Grace and Adare.

4Stars

5 RIP-ROARING FANTASTIC LOVING DARK PROTECTORS STARS!!!! I have been waiting, and waiting and waiting to get my hands on this book. I was beyond curious to find out how this book would fit into the Dark Protectors series and you can bet your Vampire-Demon loving behind, I was not disappointed. Zanetti, is a go-to author for me. Her word building is spectacular and I just want to live in the Realm world with these males!!! Ronan Kayrs is special and one of the Seven. He meets Dr. Faith Cooper a renowned Neurologist, over 400 hundred years ago. Crazy, right? Hmmmm...maybe not so crazy in the Dark Protectors world, Lol. I am absolutely NOT going to give anything away. If you have read any of her books in this series, then this is a MUST, AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ, to further understand all that is going on. You can expect action, killing of the the bad guys and some new bad guys, suspense, heart-wrenching moments, scorching between the sheets sex, surprises, so many surprises, and a HEA! I just love the way this series is going and I cannot express the happiness I am feeling that Ms. Zanetti is continuing this series.
Another job well done! 5 stars*****

Author Rebecca Zanetti has a way of pulling you into her u universe and VAMPIRE'S FAITH is one you want to be in as we revisit the Dark Protectors with this intriguing, action-packed twisty novel.

VAMPIRE'S FAITH brings in characters that faithful readers of the Dark Protectors series know and love, including Garrett and Logan. There is also the addition of new characters that fast become important to the readers, like Benny, Ivar, and Adare, who with Ronan are the remaining seven. There is also Grace, Faith's sister, who is a key character. Of course, there are the bad guys that we all want to see get theirs and no one makes a bad guy (or gal) badder than R Rebecca Zanetti! If you want a hot, sexy vampire; a strong, resilient human doctor; action, danger, brotherhood, and warriors with a go good dose of romance, love, and humor, get your hands on VAMPIRE'S FAITH. Then hang on for the next offering that hopefully comes soon.

Rebecca Zanetti tortures me again. I don’t think I am going to be able to rest until I get all the books in this series. Please type faster. I must have them now!

In this continuation of the Dark Protector series, the DP world expands as we learn about the secret brotherhood of The Seven and the ultra militant Kurjan religious cult known as the Cyst and Ulric their leader who the Brotherhood has kept imprisoned in an alternate dimensional bubble. The outer bubble which Ronan Kayrs was protecting has shattered after a thousand years, putting him into a coma for a few months until he is found by the humans under some rubble. Dr. Faith Cooper, is Enhanced, and has the ability to connect with coma patients and help lead them back to consciousness. Ronan doesn’t need her help, but Faith’s sister, Grace, is still locked in her own mind after a brutal home invasion attack.

Faith is very confused. She has Ronan explaining to her about her being an Enhanced human and mating and vampires and the dangers that the Kurjans and the Cyst present. Faith also has the Kurjan leader, Dayne, showing up after giving Faith’s comatose sister a jolt of Kurjan blood, and making her responsive. Dayne is promising that the Kurjans have more advanced medical technology than the vampires and can help her if only she turns Ronan “The Butcher” Kayrs over to the Kurjans. Since Ronan has been out of touch for the last thousand years, she isn’t sure if what Dayne is telling her is true and maybe things have changed since Ronan was last involved in vampire/Kurjan politics. Faith isn’t sure who to believe, but she wants a cure for her sister badly.

I will have to admit that I was as confused as Faith since we know from the prior stories that the Kurjans have been playing around with science and DNA. They have been trying to cure their aversion to the sun as well as creating that little virus to reverse the vampires’s mating bond. There were moments when I was with Faith on the maybe the Kurjans can help question. In the end of Marked, Dage and Dayne, the Vampire and Kurjan leaders, sort of put the war aside in a you stay on your side and I’ll stay on my side way, so maybe Faith isn’t wrong that life has changed in 1,000 years and maybe we can work together.

All that remains of The Seven is Ronan, Ivar, Benny, Adare and Quade, who is still in the inner bubble containing Ulric. They need two more members to complete their circle of seven and they approach Logan Kyllwood and Garrett Kayrs, but the blood initiation/trial kills more members than it welcomes and since it is secret group, they can’t even tell their families that they are risking their lives just trying to join.

We also learn that little Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood has even more pressure on her than Janie. Hope is the first female vampire born. She is has the mark of a prophet. And now we learn that there was a prophesy of the first female vampire and she would be important to the destruction of Ulric. Pressure, pressure, pressure. That’s a lot of pressure for a seven year old. There is also the question that in the end (if they become part of The Seven) will Logan and Garrett allow Hope to risk herself or will her uncles risk everything, even their membership in the Seven, to protect her.

Overall, I feel like I am back to that moment when I first read Fated (Book 1 of the Dark Protectors series) where little Janie created a dream world and met young Zane there. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on each next book but more importantly, I couldn’t wait to see what happened when Jaine and Zane grew up.

Now it is Janie and Zane’s daughter, Hope, meeting the young Kurjan leader’s son, Drake, and I am even more excited because nobody is going to be happy about Hope bringing home her Kurjan boyfriend.

In the prior story arc, Zane wasn’t the only one who stepped into Janie’s dream world. A Kurjan named Kalin also visited Janie. Kalin felt as strongly about Janie as Zane did and I would have wondered who she would end up with if somewhere along the storyline Kalin didn’t become a serial killer murdering human women. That kind of takes him out of the running for paranormal romance hunk. Hopefully, young Drake won’t get that same desire for slaughter as he hits puberty that Kalin did.

So once again I will sit impatiently waiting for the next book, which is Logan’s, to see what happens and how long it will be before we get to the other characters and until we can finally get to Hope’s story. And I am certain that Rebecca will drop that one sentence in each story that makes you stop cold and go “Wait! WHAT??? Damn it, when is the next book?”

The chance to dive back into the Dark Protectors universe, and a new slant on a beloved series by Rebecca Zanetti should not be wasted by any Paranormal Romance reader. If you loved the powerful, sexy and completely addicting first set of stories then you’re going to love falling back into this world filled with new characters, enemies, danger, friendship, the chance to catch up with old friends and a love to risk it all for.

Yeah, I fell in love almost from the start with Ronan… Faith, not so much though, at least at first. There is intelligence, genius even… and then there is common sense, street smarts and the stubborn determination to put mortal ideologies onto an immortal. Granted, Faith had a lot to deal with, to understand about this unknown world. Yet, Ronan proves over and over, often at his or his friends’ peril, that he knows what he’s doing, can certainly protect her and guide her in this world and would basically do anything for her. His power is unbelievable, yet Faith continues to try to make Ronan adhere to mortal values and logic. She has a lot to learn, a lot to experience before she’s truly Ronan’s mate. By the ending of the book I felt she had finally gotten there… but it was, at times, a rough journey with Faith for me.

I don’t intend to go into the plot, for that you really need to read Vampire’s Faith firsthand for yourself. It is a intriguing, dangerous, sexy and excellent journey back into the Dark Protectors world We meet new friends and allies, encounter enemies, face down terror and danger, and reunite with some old well loved friends along the way.

I had a blast stepping back into this intricate world once again, and if you love Paranormal Romance, Suspense or Romance then you’ll fall in love with this story and want to continue the series. I highly recommend Vampire’s Faith and look forward to Demon’s Mercy. If you haven’t read the Dark Protectors earlier books… you could start here and know what is needed from earlier through the plot and dialogue… but I’d really suggest starting from the beginning if or when you can because it’s an amazing series that you’d enjoy. I know it’s not always possible with a long series to go back financially or time wise, but if you can it’s well worth the effort.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is a series I love and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed Ronan and Faith's story and I can't wait for more books in this series. I need to know more about the secret sect called the Seven. These books really need to be turned into a mini-series.

I've been meaning to get to the Dark Protectors series for a while now and being approved for Vampire's Faith by NetGalley gave me a jumpstart. The Seven, the Kurjans and the Cyst seem to be a new arc in the series so this book is a good place for me to start. But I am going back to the beginning as soon as I can. I've read the Realm Enforcers series so seeing that Logan and Garrett have major roles to play in this arc is exciting.

The Seven, the Kurjans and the Cyst is a part of Realm history that has been deliberately concealed. I'm not going to get into details about what the Seven do and who the Kurjans and the Cyst are because spoilers you know. But I can tell you that Ronan Kayrs may come off as the bull in the china shop type but is definitely one regal alpha. As for Faith, in spite of being a neurologist, she is a spitfire, dedicated to her work, determined and fiercely independent.

I can guarantee you an edge of your seat, nail biting, experience as you go through this book along with a whole load of hand to hand combat and a couple of exploding mountains. I am especially looking forward to what is in store for Grace and Adare, I do hope that is the next book.
