After meeting when Rocky suffers a fall but refuses to let Gia help him get back into his chair, the two are attracted right from the start, but it's a developing thing, not 'love at first sight'. Gia is having some unexplained health issues, and when the explanation becomes clear, she has to face buried memories and not-so-well-buried resentment. Leaving the camp they both worked at, she ends up in a hotel with no idea where to go from there. Rocky comes to the rescue, but wants to be able to rescue her more permanently. But is marriage really the answer? And when things seem to be falling apart all round them, will they be able to work together to hold their marriage together?
For some reason I didn't approach this book with particularly high expectations - but I was pleasantly surprised. The writing, setting and characters all drew me in and kept me interested. Watching the characters and their relationships develop was interesting, and I particularly enjoyed the meeting between their respective parents. The resolution was very satisfying, though I'd like to see more of their married life in a future book. Overall, this is an author I'll be looking out for more by. Recommended.

Note that I received a free copy of the book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
