Royally Hung really jumps straight to the punchline of a royal wedding of convenience which wasn't to its favor. It would have done the story a favor if there had been more of a lead-up. But the main characters's chemistry and the general fairy tale of marrying a ridiculously rich playboy prince still made it a fun read.
Royally Hung is a Cinderella retelling; Prince Dare runs away from a ball and convinces Edee to enter into a temporary marriage of convenience so he can avoid a marriage arranged by the King. The trouble with this story is that Dare is an arrogant jerk rather than charming, and shows very little character growth throughout the novel. While you do get sucked into the Dare's world and he becomes somewhat likeable, he never quite becomes the man you hope for. Something that would have also helped improve the book is having differentiation of voice for each Dare and Edee. They sounded exactly alike, even used the same phrases, despite one being a foreign prince and the other an American. While my curiosity would be enough to make me read stories of the other two princes should the author write a sequel, I do not feel this lived up to its potential.
I honestly could not get past the second chapter in this book. I hated "Prince Charming" so much in just one chapter that it completely killed any and all chances of me being able to read this book.
It is a hoot! It's predictable in nature but oh so naughty! The Prince rebels and marries an American bride of convenience. A contract marriage. And we all know what happens in those...
This playboy Prince had the naughty mind and mouth to back up his reputation. It's filthy fun and a sweet story in one! Plus he has two brothers- think bonus hotties! (Or more books!)
If you're craving a royal adventure with a Prince who isn't interested in the crown and a woman who will attempt to win his heart.
It's a must read to keep the royal fever alive if only for a few hours while reading ;)
This book needs to be on your kindle or in your hands.

This was a super fun and super fast read. I liked that we started with the Prince's POV because he's a cocky (pun intended) MFer but it's quite enjoyable. Could I guess what was going to happen? Yes, of course but it didn't make it any less delightful. AND, it was funnier that I thought it would be! A bonus! Definitely a good book to bring out when you need a smile (or a smirk).
This is a sweet, fun, sexy story that begins with a Vegas Elvis wedding and ends with a real prince and princess in a fountain declaring their love for each other. There are lots of things to be overcome for Prince Dare to claim his American princess Edee, but when he does it’s definitely an HEA.
There is only one way to start this review … with laughter. There is no way that I could write a serious review of Royally Hung because I laughed and smiled throughout the story. And, it started at page 1. Dare stole my heart at the beginning and didn’t let go. I love a man who loves a good time and there is not a royal out there that could top Dare. Well, maybe one but, as of the time that this review posts, he’s taken.
Prince Darejan, the royal spare, the last one anyone would want to rule the country, the man whore, the partier, the man least likely to get married. Well, until he is ordered to. So, if King Queenie is going to tie him down, he’s going out with a bang. What better way than throwing his own bachelor party in Vegas baby. After losing his parents in a horrific accident while being chased by paparazzi, he hates photographers but wants his final bash to be immortalized. He/she will have to sign their life away promising not to leak the pictures, sign an NDA and just fade into the background. There is no way that he was expecting what he got. Yea, the royal jewels stood at attention and the plan to end this marriage farce took hold. Now, to get her to agree.
Edee does not trust any man to be loyal, faithful or devoted to her. She’s had her share of cheating, lying men and she’s through with them all. She’s happy being a wedding photographer … of dogs. But, how does she pass up the opportunity to photograph royalty? Still paying off loans, not supported by anyone since being thrown out of her house by her step-mom and sisters, she’ll take whatever job she can get. Then she sees the Prince. Her mouth opens, her panties drop and she’ll sign anything that he wants her too as long as she could look at him. Then, he proposes the most outlandish, hysterical thing and, with the amount of money he offers her, how could she say no? Eh, she’ll help out the future King of Vale, what does she have to lose? Maybe, her heart?
So, Anne Marsh, did you or do you have a little obsession with a certain ginger-haired prince? Just asking. But, thank you for not making Edee like a certain new Duchess, they are so totally different. She was definitely a piece of work and I adored her throughout the story. Talk about total opposites attracting! These two were the ultimate. I loved the Cinderella moments and couldn’t help but love everything about Dare, especially when he found out exactly what was going on with his brother. Yes, she threw in a serious part or two but most of this story was just plain fun and games. I loved how she brought things to a close and can’t wait to see what she does with Nik and Luca.
Royally Hung was just a fun and entertaining book to read. It had it’s laugh-out-loud moments, it’s serious moments and two people who were never meant to be together but fit.
Called by his uncle the king of Vale to do his royal duty and marry, bad boy Prince Dare wants to fight it every step of the way. He is sowing some of his wild oats, when he runs into Edee, an American.
Edee has built up a successful second hand internet designer clothes business from nothing, She smart, goal centered woman who knows exactly what the prince is after but isn’t going to fall for his charms.
Until they both start to fall and then the realization that an American wasn’t what the King’s idea of the perfect Prince of Vale’s bride would be.
Marsh writes marvelous flirty and dirty with a heart of gold.

What a fun, quick read. Easily devoured in one sitting. Very flirty and fun, a perfect beach read. Adored Dare and Edee! They were so cute together. I'm anxious to read more by Marsh
I read this book in honor of the impending royal nuptials of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and let's just say, I hope they have us much fun as Dare and Edee. But the main characters's chemistry and the general fairy tale of marrying a ridiculously rich playboy prince still made it a fun read. I'll definitely read the rest of the series.
4 stars!
I loved this book! It had me laughing throughout the entire story! I know everyone seems to be doing "prince " stories lately, but this one is my favorite so far!!
Prince Dare has been giving an ultimatum by his Uncle. Prince Dare MUST get married for his country's sake. Dare does NOT take this well Since he doesn't want to get married or become King ( that is his brother's job), he heads off to Las Vegas where he meets Edee. She is the the opposite of princess material. She is a realist and doesn't like the spotlight or anything that comes with being a Royal. She is a pet photographer and likes her low key life. The only things she doesn't like is her step mother and sisters who treat her like she is only around for chores (see the cute princess undertones here!?).
Dare is hot and dirty. I loved every second of him. I like how he told the story. I liked everything about this book!
I wanted to love this book, but there were a couple things holding me back. I enjoyed Edee - she was interesting and funny, but I found Dare to be just too much. I understand the whole playboy to devoted lover trope, but his level of self-centered-ness was offputting. More importantly, the overabundance of metaphors, similes, and comparisons, in general, was distracting: "my sexy black crow," "she's the drabbest of peahens where I'm the showiest of peacocks with the biggest of...tail feathers." It felt like every paragraph had at least one of these. I was often times confused by the dialogue - every character seemed to be speaking in one-liners rather than having an actual conversation. This made it hard to keep up with what was happening. Parts of the book were very confusing due to this.
That being said, I think the plot, in general, was interesting - as a reader I was invested in seeing how we would get to the scene that the book opened with. I was also intrigued by Nik's storyline as well as Luca's. I'm assuming if this becomes a series they'll become focal points. But there are thousands of prince-focused romance book out there, and because of the writing flaws, Royally Hung doesn't really stand out. It's a fun read, but I don't necessarily know if I'd recommend it.
