My thoughts
Would I recommend it? yes
Would I read more of this series? This was the last book to it and the last one I need to read and review since I've already read and review the first two books.
Would I read more by this author? Yes, in fact I have a few of her other series to read and review.
I can't believe it took me this long to read this one even though I had already read the first to books to this series and loved them, but I finally did and can now say I've completed the series. And out of the three this one might just be my favorite one, plus if you don't want to read them as a series you can read them as stand alone , by picking which ever book you want to read. One of the things I like about this one was how far Ginni was wanting to go to helped her friend but then she finds out that its a real marriage , other thing I liked was how they start to realize that they have feels for each other and that they might want to stay married to each other. The one thing I didn't I didn't like while it was more of a person then a thing was Ginni father but over all I loved how it kept me hooked in the story and how the Ginni knew what she wanted and was not going to be pushed around, and how Nasim liked her for she was, with that said I want to thank Netgalley for letting me read and review it.
A great romance read. I've heard somewhere that The road to hell is paved with good intentions and Ginni puts herself on a crazy road. This book is a very easy read that I think most romance readers will appreciate.this book was provided by the publisher via netgalley.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
This was a fun book to read and I liked it better than book 2. Probably because Ginni and Nasim were great characters and seemed to get a long well.
One thing that did not make sense was Jasmine's father asking for him to be compensated for the wrong woman marrying Nasim when Jasmine was the one behind the plan and she was HIS daughter! Nasim should be the one asking for compensation!!
Lots of drama and we see a bit of the couples from the previous books. Glad that Nasim and Ginni could get their HEA!
What happens when you have an arranged marriage to a woman who you've met a couple of times and then find out she isn't who she's meant to be. Sheikh Nasim Said is all geared up to marry another sheikh's daughter in order for his oil to go through the other country, but when his future bride faints just after they say I do, all hell breaks loose as she isn't who she's meant to be. Ginni Leeland is standing in for her college friend as she's eloping with the man of her dreams, but Ginni has other plans for Sheikh Nasim as she wants him to listen to her proposal about the oil industry. Will he listen and take her up on her plan or will Ginni fail and have her daddy come and sort her out.
Loved reading the third book in the Zahkim Sheikhs Series. Ginni Leeland takes her friend, Jasmine's place, and marries Sheikh Nasim Said. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written love story of an American and a Sheikh.
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.
Sheikh Nasim Said goes through with his wedding and finds out that he is married to the wrong Bride. Ginni has to find common ground when the wedding proves to be real. Last in the Zahkim Sheikhs series gives the reader the last of the cousin's tale of romance.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
I enjoyed the third book in the series. I liked the twist of changing places at the wedding. I wish there was more interaction with the other wives.
This is a fun, sexy, thrilling and engaging romantic journey filled with interesting charters, dangerous situations, emotional ups and downs and passion.....
Sheikh Nasim Said is a strong, sexy, charming larger than life alpha male agreeing to an arranged marriage to save his country from war. Ginni Leeland is sassy, sweet, charming and looking to prove she is ready to take over her father's company by getting a meeting with Sheikh Nasim when her best friend want to elope instead of marry him taking her place temporarily seems like the perfect solution to both their problems... Enjoyed this highly entertaining read.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. This is a fun, sexy, interesting story. I think most romance readers would enjoy.
Not a bad book, just not great. I was not in love with the heroine, she got on my nerves. She acted very juvenile for an adult.
I love reading Leslie North's Sheikh books !! This one was really good !! Can't wait to see what she writes next
He never saw her coming and she would knock his world off it’s axis all to prove her worth to her father. Excellent way to conclude the series.
Other books in this series were more complete and fleshed out This story was very short and the female lead was not all that likeable.
Having read the Captive American, I was already familiar with the Zahkim Kingdom. Sheikh Nasir was supposed to marry Jasmine, from a neighbour country in order to establish more bonds between the countries, to enable growth in economics. However, after the wedding ceremony he discovers he has not married Jasmine, but her American friend Virginia (Ginnie). Ginnie is pretty sure her marriage to the sexy Sheikh is not legally binding, but she needs a lawyer to find out. Surely, her friend wouldn't put her in that position? As daughter of Leeland enterprises, she wants to prove to her father that she is more than capable to take over the company. And she needs a contract with the Zahkim kingdom to prove her point.
With both parties trying to annul the marriage contract, both Nasir and Ginnie can't deny their mutual attraction. And bit by bit they ask themselves: is it really bad to be married to each other or not?
A cute and funny read. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the ARC.
5 Star Review
Received ARC in exchange for an honest review
3rd book in the series & really loved this one!!
Virginia ( aka Ginnie to her friends) takes the place of her friend Jasmine at her wedding so she can escape an arranged marriage ... Nasim the bridegroom has no knowledge of this until they have spoken their wedding vows ....
Can they undo whats been done ? Do they even want to ... the chemistry between the two is off the charts !! Great book & end to this series !!
Loved both these characters !! Leslie North does a great job writing Sheik romances thats for sure !!
Leslie North is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. This book is the perfect ending to this wonderful series. Her characters are so enduring. I loved how spunky Genni was. She was willing to marry a stranger so her friend can escape an arranged marriage. I loved the chemistry between Nasim and Genni. This was a great book!
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you!
Sheikh Nasim Said was Arif’s cousin and to be married today in the palace gardens as his cousins had done. But this was a business deal and the old sheik- Sheikh Ahmad who was father of his bride to be- Jasmine wanted a formal occasion. It was up to Nasim they would have eloped or had a simple civil ceremony as he wanted to get this done and over with but he stayed with the new tradition. Nasim wondered where jasmine was then seen her in the distance. Thoughts of how Arif said the sheikh’s should all marry for love went through his mind but too late to worry about that now this deal was very important to his country. There was almost two hundred VIPs there to attend this wedding. Then when asked Nasim said he chose her for his wife or he believed was to be his wife. But wasn’t she a little taller and she didn’t have the traditional bride henna on her hands. Also seemed to be stumbling over her words almost as if she could barely get them out or her arabic was rusty. Then she swayed ands started to fall to the ground but Nasim caught her and took her to the library in the Palace as he felt it had to be the heat. Then she sat up and pulled off her veil. Nasim quickly realized this wasn’t Jasmine. She had to be an American by the way she talked- from New Orleans if he placed her accent right. Then Nasim became angry when she said she would explain. He replied explain how she had managed to destroy the alliance he had been about to make with Dilobuli. He had signed a marriage contract and Sheik Ahmad was going to be furious. Then nasim added “ do you realize this prank’s put my country , our oil business, and even possibly my family’s throne in jeopardy”? Then Viginna/Ginni she had an offer from Leeland Enterprises that will be a lot more attractive. Nasim then noticed the solitary square cut diamond on Ginni’s hand and knew jasmine had been in on this. Nasim said they would not be friends or partners that they were more for now she was his wife. Ginni laughed as Jasmine had told her the time to faint that would interrupt the ceremony before things had become to cemented into a marriage. Jasmine had fallen in love with Erik who was German and they were expecting a little boy. Then ginni explained Nasim had been a hard man to get a meeting with and Nasim said he had spent the last six weeks trying to negotiate a deal with dijobuli the one Ginni had destroyed. Ginni said she had a better proposition for Nasim and pulled up her spreadsheets on her Android. Nasim said she had overlooked the political ramifications of her actions. Ginni added this deal would work for everyone as Leeland Enterprises would pick up the cost of improved roads for Dijobuli instead of a pipeline that could lead to spills. Ginni also said he would have to speak to Jasmine about the marriage as she was the one who tossed that in the trash. Nasim lead Ginni back to the reception. Arif noticed it was not Jasmine with Nasim as did his wife Christine. Then silence fell over the room. Nasim tried to get Sheikh Ahmad to discuss things in private but the Sheikh said there was nothing to say that nasim would be hearing from his lawyers for the insult, and the trickery. Then Nasim said that Sheikh Ahmad held grudges like a camel carries water. Ginni’s father’s name and company carried a great deal of influence all over the world. Then nasim said he would take ginni to her room in the palace as there were probably no hotels vacant and he added he thought she wanted to talk business. Nasim wanted Ginni in his bed then he would figure out if he could make a deal with leeland Enterprises. One with advantages for low cost transportation that he could dangle in front of Sheikh Ahmad for appeasement. Ginni wasn't sure if she and Nasim were actually married until she looked up the words Jasmine had taught her to see and they were married. Ginni had been engaged to Hamk who worked for her father but she hadn’t slept with her fiance as she was holding out for marriage. As it was it turned out Hank was more interested in the family fortune and running her father’s company then Ginni. Deep down Ginni knew knew she had been in love with the idea of love not with Hank anyway. Ginni decided she better look in to a divorce the next day. Ginni told Nasim she ha dgraduated form college with honors and had a degree in economics and a minor in business. Ginni had been working her butt off to show her father she was ready to take over her father's business. But her fathers seemed to only remember her first two years of college when she had screwed around and her last shopping bill from Paris. Nasim said he was also his family’s black sheep. Nasim took Ginni in the desert to see the Ashlands. He found he wanted her more than anything he had ever wanted. Ginni and nasim became lovers and Ginni had fallen for Nasim but she felt everything would blow up in her face. Then as Ginni was trying to figure out how to fix things for Nasim she found out an dsaw her ex Hank he said her father sent him to check on her.
Yet another great book by Leslie North about Sheikhs. I loved it she surely didn’t disappoint. This was a fast enjoyable easy read. I didn’t want to put it down. I loved the plot and pace which was fast. I loved the description that the author gave in this book. I had no problem with my attention from the beginning to the end of this book. I loved Nasim and Ginni together. I read this in one setting. I loved how Ginni wanted a meeting with Nasim and help a friend but also did what she had to do to meet with Nasim even if it was marry him. I could find nothing to criticize in this book and that in itself was Great!! I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.
This was my least favorite of the series. I found the concept of an arranged marriage with a bride switch that no one knows about to be a stretch of my imagination. I liked Nasim but Ginni left me somewhat underwhelmed. I was given an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a fantastic addition to this fantastic series by this amazing author. This is one of my favourite series by this author too. I just loved the story from the very first page till the last word. I felt like I was thrown right into this book with how amazing the story is and I could just picture the whole story as I was reading this book. I loved everything about this book, the storyline, the chemistry/romance and the characters. I could not find anything that I didn’t like with any of the 3 books and this is why I always come back to this amazing author for books to enjoy as your always guaranteed a fantastic story to read and I would absolutely and totally recommend this book to everyone. I’ve even got my mum and a couple of friends reading this authors books.
Sheikh Nasim Said is going through with his arranged marriage—it will be good for business, and his country Zahkim, even if his cousin Arif says it will be a disaster. But when his veil- shrouded bride faints halfway through the ceremony, he discovers he hasn’t married the daughter of a neighboring king, but the luscious Ginni Leeland. His wife is a stranger, but he can’t wait to get to know her better –in every way—even if her stunt has threatened Zahkim’s relationship with their neighbor. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book in one day.Leslie North is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
