In Bed with the Beast was a funny and heart-warming story that I absolutely loved. Tara Sivec crafted a great story about a sweet, nerdy girl and a gruff, broody, but secretly sweet guy who finds himself unexpectedly falling in love.
The characters were really well-written and I enjoyed learning more about them as the story went on. Belle was hilarious with her random rambling facts. Her innocence was refreshing, and I enjoyed watching her try to navigate the art of seducing a man. Vincent was a great character as well. Beneath the grumpy exterior was a man with a kind heart, who had been hurt in the past after putting his trust in the wrong person. I loved how the two of them slowly came together. Their fall for each other was a slow one, and I loved how Belle brought out the softer side of Vincent.
The banter in the story was hilarious and I laughed out loud so many times while reading, The secrets added another layer to the story as well. I loved the ending, and I cannot wait for Ariel's book. Her character was hilarious and I am eagerly anticipating seeing her and Eric go head to head. This was my first book by Tara Sivec but it definitely won't be my last.

In Bed with the Beast is book 2 in the Naughty Princess Club. We already read about Cinderella's story.
3 woman who are in a bind and start own business.
This is obviously Belle's story. My favorite of the Princess's.
When Beast starts showing up at the library and being protective The way he is described as the beast but his name is Vincent. His character was great to follow.
So many great parts of this story but all I have to say is start with book 1 and just one-click the remaining series. I can't wait for Ariel's story.

If you like a great story line along with romantic comedy then this is a book for you!

I had a blast with In Bed With The Beast, and if you love a good modern day retelling of a fairy tale classic, then you’ll want to grab this book right now. And really, don’t the colors of that cover remind you of Belle’s gown, you know, the other Belle. *grin*

Belle is our nerdy, book lover and can she ever come up with the most obscure quotes imaginable. I loved Belle and it certainly isn’t difficult to imagine her or her reaction to one growly, fierce, hot bouncer Vincent. When she stands up to her dad Belle finds herself evicted quickly and is in need of a more permanent place to stay than the library.. Vincent comes to her rescue with a spare guest room, a long list of rules and thing to not do, including messing with a locked room.

On the surface the sweet Belle and the burly Vincent would seem total opposites, and in many ways they are. Yet, in the heart, the personality and the emotions these two people are a perfect fit. I loved their interactions, the way they slowly overcame their differences and of course, the smoldering sizzle that surrounds them whenever in each other’s company. As I said, I had such fun with In Bed With The Beast and if you love fairy tale retellings in a modern setting then you’ll love this one, too. I would recommend this one and the entire series to any Contemporary Romance reader who enjoys a good romance, and has never left fairy tales behind.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Isabella Reading has always been the quiet, intelligent, shy girl who does what is expected and does not seek attention. But after meeting some new friends, Cindy and Ariel, that have started to push her out of her comfort zone, she is beginning to want more out of life than living in her overprotective dad's basement and living vicariously through books. Starting The Naughty Princess club (a stripping business) with these two new friends and hanging out at the strip club Charming's are definitely changes. She is starting to stand up for herself. She wants the real fairy tale with love and passion like Cindy has found with her Prince Charming, PJ. And she is determined to save the library she runs from closing down so the extra money is needed.

But all of her changing is a bit too much for her dad to take and soon she is left living in the library, until an unlikely savior convinces her to let him help. Vincent "Beast" Adams works at Charming's as a bouncer, and is big, burly, gruff, and broody. He seems angry, mean, and closed off. But he begins to start looking out for her unexpectedly.

Beast brings out the fire and sass in the normally reserved Belle. And she brings out his protective , and calmer side at times. But she can also rile him up too. As they find themselves room mates there is plenty of sexual tension and confusion. Belle's still looking for Mr. Right or at least Mr. Right Now and Beast makes it clear that he is not the one. So she wants some lessons in being flirty and sexy. But he also does not like when she looks elsewhere either. She drives him crazy and makes him vulnerable which just adds to his confusion and grumpiness.

There is fussing, fighting, challenging, and yearning for what they think they can't have. There are secrets, miscommunication, and misunderstandings. They push each other in some ways and balance each other in others. But there are secrets that could rip their fragile foundation apart.

It's feisty, sweet, sexy, and fun. I loved this modern twist on Beauty and the Beast since it is my favorite fairy tale. Cindy, Ariel, PJ, and Eric have big personalities and make for a motley crew. I am looking forward to outspoken Ariel's story next.

I was gifted a copy.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Tara Sivec, but from what I remembered, I thoroughly enjoyed each experience. This read was no different. In Bed with the Beast was a hilarious tale loosely based on Beauty and the Beast that tackled a woman’s growth and development into self-sufficiency and independence. It told a story of kindness and charity, of funny hijinks and antics, of the bond found with family and friends, of the intricacies of interpersonal relationships, and of faith in happily ever afters. There was romance, drama, and laughs to be found in its pages. I had a blast reading it!

I could tell that I could become a huge fan of Vincent and was begging to get his perspective. I couldn’t really connect with his character and I needed him to counteract the effects that Belle had on me. Every time she doubted his feelings or motives, I wanted to shake her for ignoring the obvious. In so many big and small ways, Vincent showed her his intentions and how very much he cared for her. It hurt so much when she would disregard this or treat him disrespectfully. Hello! You had no place to go, he gave you a home, and you are being unappreciative. RUDE!! I really liked that these characters, despite their immense attraction, didn’t just jump into bed. They were able to grow beyond the physical and got to really know each other. It made their relationship that much more special.

If you’re looking for a good laugh while watching someone try to sabotage their chances at everlasting love, you won’t want to miss this!

Another amazing spin on a classic fairytale!

I don't care how gruff and grumpy Vincent is, there's just something about him that pulls you in. I'm not going to lie, you don't really want to like him at first. But you can't help it. Even when he's being a bit overbearing and demanding, you find yourself wanting to bend to his will anyway. And when you dive deeper into him and his personality, oh boy. This man will surprise you. Then he becomes irresistible. Trust me on that.

Belle is hilarious! The most timid of the three Naughty Princess, she's always good for a great laugh, an awkward moment, and a whole lot of random facts. She frustrates Vincent to no end but there's an undeniable charm to her that makes it impossible for him to resist her.

This whole book is a riot! You can't wipe the smile off your face the whole time you're reading it. All these characters are fantastic to watch, not just Vincent and Belle. If you're looking for a fun and hilarious story that checks all the boxes, you've found the right one. This is a fantastic addition to this series and I can't wait to read the next one!

This book is everything you could want in a rom-com! Beast and Bell have the romance and the rest of the crew of the comedy. Loved every word.

The fist book in this series was a 5 Star read, so I had high hopes for this book to be the same.
Sadly, there were a few parts that made me want to stop reading. Ariel has turned into a royal b*tch and I don’t like her one bit. Towards the ending it looked like it would end like book 1, but there was a secret revealed that was going to ruin the fairytale ending and then 3 more chapters were added to complete the story.

I would have loved to see more of the Beast come out, but he was very, very tame. I really don’t think I’ll read book 3 in this series.

I received this copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

I love the Beauty and the Beast trope in romance so the blurb sold me right away on this one. I have a weakness for the brooding silent types and Vincent, aka Beast, fit that to a T. I wish we would have gotten his POV, at least once. I think it would have fleshed him out more. He is my favorite character.

My low rating was parts Belle and parts the supporting characters. For all we're told the h is nice and kindhearted, she sure didn't show that side to Vincent. Belle was a bit shallow, immature and childlike. I couldn't understand the pull Vincent felt for her, they didn't have anything in common besides their mutual physical attraction. So it was hard to root for them when I didn't feel a real connection. Her friends were too brash and Ariel, especially was beyond obnoxious. Sadly this series is geared towards a different audience and I won't be reading the rest of the series.

I’m always on the ledge about the retelling of fairytales but Tara nailed it! This story was the perfect blend of sweet, hilarious and heartwarming!

I must admit I was a little bit naughty and started with the second in the series, but that didn’t spoil it for me at all. I loved the relationship between the 3 friends and I’m now off to one click At the Stroke of Midnight! Looking forward to reading Cindys book!

Eagerly awaiting Kiss the Girl but I’m glad I’ve got book 1 to tide me over!

I am a complete sucker for a fairy tale retelling - especially a Beauty and the Beast retelling *swoons*

This retelling was definitely different than the others as the ladies in this series are looking to finance their futures by creating a stripping business. Belle has yet to strip, however, as she is the shy one of the group who has yet to explore her sexuality.

Enter Beast. He's a bouncer at a strip club (owned by Cinderella's "prince charming"?). He's grumpy, but has a kind heart. Belle is interested in the Beast, but he seems determined to keep his emotional distance from her.

This story has my favorite tropes: forced proximity (Belle ends up living with the Beast), shy girl falling for the "bad guy", and the whole "teach me how to be sexy" thing. I just love those tropes - they are like candy to me.

I cringed at times in the beginning when the trio of ladies talk about their stripping business, but that quickly faded when I appreciated them owning it. Why can't they want to be strippers? And, even though Beast doesn't appreciate it at times, I thought it was great that Cinderella's fella didn't mind her stripping (I never thought I'd say that sentence. Ever.). Sure, the book is light and funny and silly at times, but there is real empowerment here. I'm a true believer that a woman can use her body as she chooses as long as it is her choice, and there is no harm being done to another person.

And on that note - I recommend this read to fellow lovers of fairy tale retellings...with a twist.

If you like rom-com, this is the book for you. Tara has a perfect timing for humor and her characters show it. It was a delight so see Belle growing as a person and her interactions with Beast. Can't wait now to read Ariel's book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It spoke to my inner princess and my love of Disney fairy tales in all the best ways. The mix of humor, romance, sexiness and vulnerability was beautiful to me as a reader. Isabelle needs to save her library, her only job and the only outlet her father has given her over the years. When he forbids her from seeing her friends, Cindy and Ariel, who are members of the Naughty Princess Club, well, she leaves. She stands up for what she wants and fights for it but she doesn’t have anywhere to go. Vincent noticed Belle the first night she was at the club where he works. When he figures out Belle is without a home, he offers his though he doesn’t see himself as relationship material especially as the strong, silent type. Well, Belle’s vibrancy and love of life can’t be swayed by Vincent which makes their interactions a joy to experience. As Belle works to save the library from closure, will she find love with Vincent? Will Vincent lose out on love by staying silent? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This story is a fun, sexy take on the story Beauty and the Beast. Isabelle "Belle" Reading has been the quiet, shy girl her whole life and now at 25 years old she is ready to have some fun, but her very strict dad has other thoughts on that idea. When Belle gets caught by her dad sneaking back into the house dressed up as he calls a hooker with her best friends Cindy and Ariel, she ends up moving out of her dad's house. Now living in the library where she works her life is falling apart. Belle just learned that the library is in danger of closing so Belle decides she is going to be a stripper at Prince Charming just like her friend Cindy. In the meantime, Vincent "Beast" Adams, who works at Prince Charming, keeps showing up at the library. Beast finally tells her she can move into his house instead of sleeping on the floor of the library each night, but he has a few rules that she needs to abide by. The biggest one is not going into the one room that is locked!

As the two of them try to navigate living together, it is fun watching the big, surly, gruff guy deal with the sweet, quiet, shy girl. When Belle tells Beast that is going on blind dates to try and learn how to be sexy so she can be a stripper to earn money for the library, he is not happy. Each of her dates turn out worse the last! When Beast finally agrees to help her be sexy, that is when the fun begins. As these two get closer and closer, past secrets start to be revealed. What Belle doesn't know is that the biggest one has yet to be revealed. It takes a leap of faith that truly can stand the test of time!

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale so I knew I'd love this story. It was fun, entertaining and sexy all at the same time. I really loved how every now and then a part of the story popped up that mirrored the original. Overall I really enjoyed Beast and Belle and their path to their happy ending!

After reading At the Stroke of Midnight I was dying to get my hands on the In Bed with the Beast and Tara Sivec freaking delivered!! I was in love with these two and the 'beasts' cagey, alpha maleness!

In Bed with the Beast is a hilarious re-imagined version of Beauty and the Beast. Isabella is 100% a bookworm and is constantly comparing real life to what she has read in books. She is constantly reminded that real life is not like the beautiful romances she reads. Which, hello, I think we can ALL relate too.

I really enjoyed watching her grow comfortable in her own skin as she tries to save her towns library. She keeps being told that she can't and isn't ready to be a stripper, but she is persistent and learns how to dance through YouTube videos. Along with asking beast to help her 'get comfortable' around men.

Let me just say this last thing in this rambling review. I LOVED the plot twist for this book! I had a vague idea, but I didn't catch it until it happened and it made me utterly happy because it's not something I had read before! Also, when they 'stormed' the beasts 'castle' was probably my favorite part of the entire book!

If you are looking for a witty take on the beloved Beauty and the Beast, then In Bed with the Beast is a must read!

Spending your adult life living in your father’s basement is not conductive to having a romantic life. For Isabelle Reading – living in her father’s home is conductive to her quest to try and save her library from closing. After a huge argument with her father, Belle finds herself searching for somewhere else to live. It lands her back on the doorstep of her library, seeking refuge within the shelves of books that seem more like home that anywhere else.

In a strange turn of events, Vincent ‘Beast’ Adams starts patronizing the library each night. As the bouncer at Charming’s club, Belle knows that Beast definitely has other priorities on his agenda. After all, doesn’t his job require their bouncer to show up at night? Beast quickly confesses that he knows Belle is sleeping at the library and offers a place to call ‘home’. In spite of her hesitation, Belle decides to take Beast up on his offer of hospitality.

The shy librarian is on a mission to get her priorities straight. The first item on the agenda is the desire to finally book her first stripper event. With limited experience on what is desirable with men, Belle puts her nose to the drawing board with the determination to save the library fueling her every move. Who would be the best candidate to teach Belle the ‘ropes’? None other than the Beast that keeps them all safe while in the club. Nothing will be the same after Belle and Beast can no longer ignore the pull that draws them together.

Belle….Belle….Belle….what is a girl to do without a Beast by their side? In Bed With The Beast is the second installment in the Naughty Princess Club, and another ‘winner’ in my book!! All of the antics that these ladies encounter in life certainly doesn’t lack in entertainment. Belle and Beast have a unique beginning in this book, but quickly use their circumstances to learn more about their obvious attraction for one another. What does a librarian have in common with a bouncer in a club? More than you can realize!! Don’t miss the latest comedy filled take by Tara Sivec on your traditional fairy tales!!

In Bed with the Beast is very well written, hilarious, witty, and fun. Tara always does a great job developing characters and writing life into them. I knew as soon as I heard about this series it was going to be epic, as all of Tara's books are. If you're looking for a brilliantly written, at times dirty, fairy-tale, then this entire series is just what you need. Grab a blanket, a cup of coffee, and fall in love with Beast.

This was one of my favorite twist on a fairy tale that has ever been written. There was a great hook in the beginning and I really enjoyed the writing style. I loved how Belle was the sheltered girl who finally let her her colors show. As the story unfolds you see the beast and how the story has similarities to the original tale but it was more complex. The humor was such a great addition it made the tale more well rounded. I fell in love with the characters and can't wait to read more in this series to see which other princess will turn up.

Belle tames the Beast in this hilarious story about finding yourself and becoming your own person.

Belle is a doormat who does everything everyone tells her to do. She follows orders and doesn't really think about herself. She is more concerned about saving her library than anything else.

The Beast is mysterious and usually talks in commands. He has secrets yet to be revealed and doesn't plan on sharing them anytime soon.

This book is told from Belle's POV which I think adds to the mystery surrounding the Beast.

Overtime, you can feel the chemistry shift between these two characters. It was almost like it surprised both of them.

As always, Tara gives us a laugh out loud book that has your feeling as if you are a part of this quirky group of friends.

If you love hilarious rom coms, HEAs, and fairy tales, you will absolutely fall in love with this series.

I received this ARC for an honest review. I love how Tara writes a character and you think "I know someone like that or this is me!" You can relate to her characters. She writes about tough changes in life, but she makes you smile and laugh through out the book. I liked Belle. She simply just wants an opportunity to grow and find out who she is while trying to save her beloved library. She wants to find her place in life and in her new business of the "Naughty Princess Club". You find yourself rooting for her and yelling at everyone to just give her a chance. Her "Beast" Vincent helps builds her confidence, but he has a BIG secret...You have to read the book to find out 😉
