As a children's librarian, I find it difficult to keep our intentional crafts creative, unique and worth the effort.. Draw, Paint, Sparkle is going to spice up my story time crafts immensely. It gave me a lot of simple solutions to painting problems I've come up against when working with children, and inspired me to combine mediums I hadn't attempted before.
Librarians would definitely benefit with a copy of this in their manual.
Recently I had my grandchildren to entertain during the school holidays, they love making things, but I was a little lost on how to keep their interest. I wish I had this book to refer to!!
It really lay out a type of plan, which includes supplies and how to encourage exploration and confidence. I think this book is really fabulous, it can be adapted to any age group and it actually freed my own mind to the possibilities of various art styles and understand of children's development. Really love this book.
I haven't been able to download this book. It looks like it might be pretty good.
This book is great for kids to learn drawing and painting. I believe in having the right materials for kids to enjoy learning something. Especially, arts is important to discover their talents or make them enjoy something they are doing.
I really liked how this book was designed. There are 25 lessons in it showing step-by-step drawing instructions. It also has shows some painting techniques attached to that lesson so that it can become a complete picture.
I think the book also has a style of triggering creativity and own exploration, which is important.
It's quite detailed with what materials to use, different type of elements to draw (animals, etc), and different styles.
I would recommend parents to get this book to encourage their kids to start drawing and painting.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for granting a copy in exchange for an honest review.
