This story had me from me page one and kept my attention throughout. I loved the WOLF team and can’t wait to read more of their stories!

In this book we have the team heading in to find an ambassador’s son and the woman that attached herself to him when guerilla warriors kidnapped and drug him away into the jungle. Bianca Devlin has devoted her life to making the lives of others better by working for NGO’s providing relief to those in need around the world and though on vacation stepped in to help Collin when others did not. Enter Carlos “Cage” Castillo and three of his team sent in to find Collin and remove him, and any other innocents, from the bad guys. And, they do so, in a very bloody manner. An accidental bite occurs that could change the path of Bianca’s life and Cage feels the need to stay nearby to determine what the outcome will be.

I love books that provide characters I would love to know in real life and this book did just that. Bianca is a wonderful person who cares about others and actually does something to make the world a better place. Cage is a dedicated Marine, team player and there for his pack. The two of them together are a match that is a joy to read about. When I finished the book I wanted to read more in the series and now have to wait to see what will come next.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Not my favorite. It was just, well, boring. There was excitement at the beginning, and then we waited, and waited, and waited to see what would happen. The characters waited, we waited, I skimmed.....and I didn't like her reaction to the reveal. Really I just didn't like her. So this, was not a winner for me.

So this was a little bit disappointing. I loved the first book in the series, but the story of Bianca and Cage was lacking. The things I loved in the first one, the military setting, the banter between all the men in the Bravo Team, was almost non-existent in this story.
The book starts with an action packed few chapters, that got me so excited, but after that the author hits the brakes on the action, hard. There is lots of overthinking and over-analyzing on the part of the main characters, which starts to repeat itself at some point. I had big hopes for this one, and I don't think I will be reading the next instalments in the series.

BITTEN UNDER FIRE is fantastic. It is a realistic aspect of changes that force you to see things differently. Not only was Bianca forced to look at her life in a whole new way, but Cage was too. He had to see his life, his family, and his world differently as emotions, real life and in his case, something he wasn't used to -- fear -- forces him to look closer and feel more. I adored Bianca's parents and laughed at her father's thrill of indoor plumbing (read the book and see the places they were and you will understand). Cage's team members lent the camaraderie that always gets to me; they are serious, funny and supportive.

If you are looking for a sweet, amazingly hot romance, a look at the world from different aspects that somehow manage to meet in the middle, characters that will stay with you even after the book ends then get your hands on BITTEN UNDER FIRE by author Heather Long.

Right from the start I was drawn into this one. I liked how Bianca was doing her best to keep her and Collin save. I was glad when they were rescued, even if Bianca got bit in the process. You could tell that Cage was regretful when he realized what he might have done and did what he could to monitor things. I loved how Bianca and Cage go to know each other, knew that Bianca had been bitten and it was just time before she turned. I liked that they had that time because I didn't think that Bianca was going to take getting turned into a wolf very well. When the secret came out things went better than I thought. I liked that through out the process Bianca and Cage had very open conversations about things. It made the ending so great, loved how Bianca came to accept things.

Book 2 in the Bravo Team WOLF series, Bitten Under Fire was a great follow up to When Danger Bites. Bianca’s spark and Cage’s fire makes for a dynamic partnership and a fabulous story. I look forward to seeing what comes next

This was a likeable story but it was a little too rushed. I know it is weird to say about a book in this genre but it was a little too unrealistic and at times, boring.

“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

After almost a decade as an aid worker, Bianca takes a vacation to Costa Rica, where she is kidnapped -next to eight year old Collin- by local guerrillas. Talk about bad luck. While rescuing Bianca, Sergeant Carlos Castillos -Aka: Cage- from the Bravo Team WOLF -a team of werewolves and Kat- accidentally bit her.

I really liked this book, and its characters. I love how Bianca doesn’t hold her tongue and her determination towards her job. Other thing that I absolutely love is the way that Cage respects her decisions even if his “hero complex” and wolf tell him the opposite. This book is an easy read with lots of hot scenes, really funny ones (“easy tiger”) as well as serious ones.
All things considered this is a book I highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy read or a paranormal-romance.

Bianca is on vacation, her first one in several years, when she sees a young boy being kidnapped. She chases after them and finds herself being held captive also. One night, they are saved and in the process she gets bitten. Her savior, Cage, is a wolf shifter who has mistakenly bit her. He follows her home to see if she will change and to tell her what he has mistakenly done. This was a sexy read and I am looking forward to the next book of BRAVO Team WOLF book.

Very interesting premise certainly out of the ordinary and not typical;. I enjoyed it a lot., great character development, very interesting characters, happy to see a strong woman. I want to be Bianca when I grow up. Cage was super sweet and his pack very supportive.

This is #2 in the Bravo Team WOLF series and the first book I have read by Heather Long. It won't be the last because I have bought the first book. Bravo Team WOLF is sent in to save a diplomat's son kidnapped from a resort by guerrillas and also saved Bianca, a world aid worker who happened to be on a well earned vacation. Saved by a wolf in a jungle? Bianca moves to Texas where her parents have a home to plan her next aid trip. Cage, the Marine who saved her life lives across from her. Could this be a coincidence? I loved this book. Really hot Military guys, romance, some mystery and a happily ever after. I loved the chemistry between Cage and Bianca. Can't wait for the next in the series. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read from this author but it will not be the last. I really enjoyed the story and the spin the author put on it. The first pages really reeled me in. I liked Cage and Bianca and how their relationship progressed. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

This book was sadly not for me, I find it very slow and like nothing is happening. It started good but after one chapter it felt like nothing was happening.

Only an overachiever like aid worker Bianca Devlin could find herself fighting for her own and a young child's life when she is on vacation. She will need to pull on every bit of her strength to survive the jungle and the after effects.
Sergeant Carlos "Cage" Castillo and his very special team of marines are sent to rescue a child. As wolves they can track easily, and terminate the problems they might find. Unfortunately sometimes mistakes can happen.
A paranormal, romantic suspense with a very exciting story line. Lots of soul searching from our hot hero. Guilt and desire are playing havoc with his self control. You can read this book on it's own but we meet some fascinating characters in this, that I hope we will get to see more of in the next books in the series.
A very hard book to put down once you start.

This book starts off leaping right into the action, making it a really exciting book to start on a day when you need something other than caffeine to wake you up! I loved how the author reeled you in with a rescue mission and then allowed the reader to get comfy and cozy with the main characters. I love military romances, and when you throw in a paranormal world, it becomes a great mix of genres that is sure to delight readers who love alpha males. And the great part is that our heroine is no beta - she gives as good as she gets and sticks up for herself. A match made in...well...the jungle!

All Bianca Devlin wanted was a vacation. And really, she didn't even want that, but her boss forced her to take some time off and enjoy the sandy beaches of Costa Rica. When she sees a little boy being kidnapped, however, her instinct to protect kicks into gear and she finds herself kidnapped right along with him. Enter Sergeant Carlos "Cage" Castillo, a Marine sent on a search and rescue mission for an ambassador's son, who wasn't expecting to meet a woman like Bianca. With the heart of a saint and the stubbornness of a mule, she has no intention of hiding and licking her wounds after her kidnapping. Instead she jumps right into a project that will help those less fortunate than her. Cage follows her to Texas, where he soon finds his feelings for her are more than just that of a rescuer and victim. Which is a problem, since Cage is a werewolf and after accidentally biting her during the mission, she just might be one too.

A strong-willed woman and a tough-as-nails Marine - what could be a better mix than that? I loved how sweet Cage was towards Bianca, despite his overwhelming anxiety over her possibly turning into a werewolf. While he went into the relationship with the objective to get close to her and ensure she was safe, he eventually couldn't help falling in love with such a generous and kind woman. Bianca, in turn, couldn't help falling for the protective man who couldn't stop checking in on her. He became a fixture in her home, and their relationship seemed so natural. Like they had known each other for years, even though it had only been a few weeks. It was nice reading a romance like that. It didn't feel like it moved too fast, and yet the reader knows it is moving pretty fast considering the circumstances. I enjoyed their relationship a lot, and it made me anxious to read about the secondary characters next!

This is my first book by Heather Long, and I am eager to read what she has in store for us next!

3.5 Stars for this Shifter romance book. Bitten under Fire is the second book in the bravo team WOLF series this author has written and published and I really liked these characters and the writing style. This book can be read separately from the first book – I haven’t read the first one yet as well for example – since they’re interconnected to each other and with each containing their own story-line.
---
The story-line is addictive and had me glued to the pages right from the start thanks to the easy and fluent writing. We read from both pov’s; the shifter one, Cage, and the human one, Bianca, and that gives this story and characters more depth it otherwise wouldn’t have had so I’m always happy when authors write from multiple pov’s, especially with stories like this, in which you have two ‘worlds’ to explore. Even though it’s a story that, in context, I’ve read a lot of times in other shifter books already – paranormal being meets human and they fall in love. Human doesn’t know what he is and maybe even gets turned herself -, it didn’t bother me. But because of that, it wasn’t really surprising and that’s why I gave it a 3.5 star rating.

I was really curious to get to know this particular shifter world, but in the end, I feel like I missed some depth/developing of it all, since the story mainly focuses on the romance part. Nothing particularly wrong with that, since I looove a good romance and the one developing between Cage and Bianca is really sweet and HOT. But there was still so much more I’d love to have read about these shifters and in particular things revolving Cage/Bianca that happened towards the end.

But, overall, it was a really enjoyable book! It has military elements – I LOVE MILITARY ROMANCE BOOKS. It has paranormal shifter elements which I loooved. I mean: WOLVES!! Just Awesome! Cage and Bianca are great characters to read about. Especially Cage. And not only because he’s this YUMMY sexy and hot military man who happens to be a wolf shifter as well, but I just found his thoughts and experiences in this story really interesting and it was a joy to read from his POV. The romance developing between these two characters was really well done and the developing was written at a good pace. I loved the writing. And this book may not have the most original story-line development, that I talked about earlier, and which is why it got this rating, but it was good enough to want more; More of this world and these characters. So I’m curious to see if there’s more coming our way – maybe a Silver book? That would be awesome! And of course, I’m going to check out the first book as well and add it to my to-read list.
---
If you love paranormal shifter/romance books, this series is one I’d recommend adding to your to-read list since it has a lot of what you’d expect and want in a shifter romance book.

Once again I came in on book 2, without know that there is a book 1. I was able to follow along without having read the first book, but I will be going back to read it now. I loved Bianca! She has lead an unconventional life, and it's not often that you come across someone who is as willing to stand up for what's right as she is. I want to be her friend!

Finally taking a vacation after months of living for her job, Bianca finds herself jumping to the rescue of a young boy or is being kidnapped by guerillas. Now Bianca is also kidnapped will does whatever it takes to make sure the young boy and she survive long enough to be rescued.

Their rescue comes in the form of Bravo Team WOLF. During the rescue, Bianca finds herself injured by a large animal.

Cage can’t believe what he finds when their special ops teams invades the guerillas camp. A sole woman battle to protect herself and their mark for rescue. Cage also can’t believe he accidentally injured the woman while in his wolf form. He doesn’t want anyone to know of his mistake but something about this woman enlists all his protective instincts. So, he decides to move across the street from Bianca to make sure she doesn’t go all fury at the full moon.

Bianca was an amazingly strong character. She knows her mind and isn’t afraid to follow through with her choices. She made this novel for me. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Cage but Bianca’s spirit was something to behold.

Sweet, sexy and an amazing female protagonists!

Bitten Under Fire by Heather LongBianca Devlin's boss thinks that she needs a vacation. Which is why she's at a posh resort which got attacked and she was pulled into a kidnapping when she instinctively tried to protect a diplomat's son. Bianca is used to dangerous situations. She travels around the world helping people who are less fortunate than she is. But she never expected to end up here. And definitely did not expect that she would get bitten by a wolf.

Carlos "Cage" Castillo didn't mean to bite Bianca. She just accidentally got in the way of the bad guy he was trying to take down. He admired her guts but now he feels like he has to follow her to make sure that he's bite didn't cause any unintended consequences.

I'm somewhat new to shifter books and, while I didn't like this book as much as the Laurenston series, this was an okay read that I think regular readers of shifter novels will enjoy.

Anytime I get a opportunity to sink into a good paranormal I do especially since it is hard for me to find one that interests me of late. Bianca is not your average "jane" so when she gets caught up in a drama that finds her in trouble too things happen fast. Then along comes Cage and the unthinkable happens. As you see on how this goes while you also slowly scoot to the edge of your seat waiting on a outcome. The heat level also builds along with a fever with these two getting along so well. The characters steal the story getting you to stick like glue wishing also this one was a bit longer.
