Celina was a journalist and her best friend and biggest supporter Akeira was very excited with Celina having an article put on the second page which being on the first couple pages of the newspaper was huge especially being Celina’s first time. This was only the beginning of Celina’s career and she was determined to make the front page and become the type of journalist who brings real issues to light. Celina was going to her cousin erin’s birthday party- Erin and Celina were very close- at the Cursed Ravens MC clubhouse. Erin’s boyfriend-Ace- is a Cursed Raven MC member who Celina hasn’t met yet. Celina didn’t know how the MC worked. Once at the clubhouse Celina is introduced to Erin’s bestie Knuckles who was a mountain of a hot man. Celina locks eyes with Knuckles- whose real name is Jack- and can’t seem to look away. When Celina looks away from Knuckles finally then looks back up at Knuckles his eyes are locked on her. Celina is a control freak when Knuckles asked her out during the week he declined but he showed up at her house with food when she was hung over from the birthday party Celina let him in and they ate and talked and he was coming back later the night to cook dinner for her. Their chemistry is so strong. Celina was attracted to bearded, tattooed men. Celina didn’t do casual and didn’t do no feelings in relationships. Celina was the first woman Knuckles had been really attracted to and interested in , in years. Knuckles has two daughters Willow- thirteen and Wesley is eight. When Knuckles was to prepare dinner for Celina he got a call from his ex Flora she wasn’t feeling well and he went and got the girls and took them to Celina’s and she was the first woman they had ever met that their father was interested in. The girls loved Celina;’s dogs: Snape, Carlton, and Kobe as they had always wanted a dog. Willow wants to be a journalist or reporter. It had been a year since Celina had a boyfriend as he had cheated on her and everyone knew but Celina. It had been three years for Knuckles. Knuckles is the Sergeant Of Arms for the Ravens and that means he keeps the peace by any means possible. Knuckles wants more then one night and lets Celina know, he says he is old fashioned and not looking for a one night stand. So Celina thought about it and still took Knuckles to come over. Knuckles and Celina sleep together. This is a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed it I read the first book in the series and this one is just as good. I advise you to read the first book in the series so it's a smoother read for you and you know a lot of the characters. To the author you did it again another five star great book I would rate higher if I could. The author makes the characters so real I felt like I was there with Celina ,Erin ,Ace an, Knuckles and his girls and even the dogs. I loved Celina and Knuckles together who were more alike than they had known. I loved Willow and Wesley as they did ad to the book a lot. I read this in one session as I didn’t want to put this down. I happily found nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ups and downs of this book and I highly recommend.

When I found out Knuckle Down was about a single dad in the MC AND written by one of my favorites, I FREAKED out. I love Chantal's MC books and this one was no different. You can probably guess that whenever the kids popped up were my favorite parts, and the dogs. 😄 I can't wait to read Rogue's story!! I have a feeling it'll be an emotional one.

Once again Chantal Fernando has impressed me with the second book in the Cursed Ravens series . I have to admit that I was so happy that Knuckles, story was told. I was particularly fond of him in Ace.
He is loyal to his daughters and his club, everything else comes second. That is until he meets Celina, and she rocks his foundation. Knuckles is instantly taken with Celina’s beauty and her brains, Her smart wit and smart mouth, are just a bonus. He steamrolls Celina, pushing his way into her life, and for Celina, how can she say No, when everything in her is screaming YES!
For Celina, Knuckles is not like the men she had dated in the past or ever for that matter. She had been cheated on and lied to by her last boyfriend, so men were not on her radar right now. But how do you keep a man like Knuckles away?
These two were explosive and I loved it so much. The banter and innuendo had me laughing and loving every bit of this story. I enjoyed that there was again, the intermix of the MC characters, throughout the book. The character base is deep and that makes this greedy MC lover very happy!
The relationship between Erin and Celina was lovely to see. Erin, being BFF’s with Knuckles and being Celina’s baby cousin, made the dynamic even that more interesting and hilarious!
The addition of Akeira, Celina’s life long best friend, had me belly laughing! There were so many facets to this story, you had Celina, fighting for her cover story and then decidinding that it was not best for her to write it. To her ex and her boss stealing the story. A surprise pregnancy, an arrest, kidnapping... you name it this story had it all. But for me the underlying theme of this story was about allowing yourself to feel love again,. How to over come fear and just live.
Again, Chantal Fernando, knocks this one out of the park for me.

A single father struggles to change for his daughters and the woman he loves in this second book in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series from New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando.

As a single father of two girls and the sergeant at arms for the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club, Jack “Knuckles” Chester doesn’t have much free time. And having earned his road name from his reputation as a fighter, Knuckles isn’t one to back away from a challenge.

But what he'll never admit out loud is that his two daughters have changed him irrevocably, softened him even. And these two girls are the only women who will ever hold his heart forever. That is, until he meets the cousin of another biker’s old lady.

Celina is nothing like the women Knuckles used to date. She’s a journalist for the local newspaper, dresses well, and basically just has her life together. And the last thing she wants is to be involved with a Cursed Raven. But when the ripped, bad a** biker worms his way into her heart, she has trouble remembering all the reasons they would never work.

But when a scandal at her newspaper breaks the thin trust she has with Knuckles, will she walk away for good? Or will Knuckles fight to keep Celina in his life?

Review:

First of all Knuckles, is the BEST!

How can you not love a character who loves his kids, is a stand-up guy, a gentleman and alpha all at the same time? So far, he is my favorite out of the guys in the Cursed Ravens. Not saying that Celina is not great too, but Knuckles is my favorite. This is the second book in the series and you really do not need to read the series in order to enjoy it. I recommend reading the first one because it was o much fun to read. This is Knuckles and Celina's story. It was just as much fun to read as the first book. There is not as much of a mystery as the first book, this is mostly character couple driven as Knuckles and Celina work out their issues. As her other books, there are lots of fun and snarky dialogue and excellently written sexy times.

I highly recommend this Author and series.

3.75 stars--KNUCKLE DOWN is the second instalment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult CURSED RAVENS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Cursed Ravens MC. This is thirty-three year old, Sargent at Arms and single father Jack ‘Knuckles’ Chester, and twenty-seven year old journalist Celina Hutton’s story line. KNUCKLE DOWN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed were necessary. The Cursed Ravens MC is a spin off from the author’s Wind Dragon MC series and advances the new series arc several years. Celina is the cousin of Erin Dawson –Ace of Hearts Book one.

Told from first person point of view (Celina Hutton) KNUCKLE DOWN follows the building relationship between the Cursed Ravens MC Sargent at Arms and single father Jack ‘Knuckles’ Chester, and journalist Celina Hutton. At her cousin’s birthday party, held at the Cursed Ravens MC property, Celina Hutton would come face to face with her future, in the guise of single father Jack ‘Knuckles’ Chester, a man who loves his daughters, and is very much a man willing to give Celina Hutton a chance with his family. Celina is a struggling journalist who is hoping for the one story that will place her on the front page, a story that could very well involve the Cursed Ravens MC but a story she will destroy when she finds herself falling in love. What ensues is the building romance between Celina and Knuckles; the potential fall-out as Celina is betrayed by the people with whom she works, and a much larger betrayal by someone within the Cursed Ravens MC.

Celina and Knuckles have both been burned in the past, and a very independent Celina struggles to let anyone get close. Knuckles’ first priority are his two young daughters but meeting Celina Hutton has our hero thinking about a potential future for himself and his girls.

The relationship between Celina and Knuckles is one of immediate attraction but Celina is quick to rebuff Knuckles’ overt flirting and attempts at seduction. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and hot, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic, language and text.

KNUCKLE DOWN is a dramatic story that focuses on family, friendships, betrayal and trust but the story line focuses more on the relationship than the Cursed Ravens MC. The premise is fast paced, revealing and engaging; the romance is sassy, edgy and hot; the characters are charismatic, likable and colorful.

Mary – ☆☆☆☆
Jack "Knuckles" Chester is the sergeant at arms for the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club and he earned his road name for fighting. But with two daughters, he doesn't have a lot of time for them. He wants to change that, and he wants to find a woman of his own, but he doesn't trust easily because the last one cheated on him.

Celina is the cousin of Erin, Knuckles’ bestie and old lady of Ace, Knuckles' brother, and daughter of Gage, the MC's president. When Celina shows up for Erin's birthday party, Knuckles already knows who she is and wants to get to know her better. He doesn't think that her being a journalist for the local newspaper is a problem for the club. Celina also has trust issues because of a cheating ex-boyfriend. She doesn't see a relationship with Knuckles going anywhere. Although she is attracted to him, she keeps pushing him away.

While Knuckles keeps pushing his way back into Celina's life, she is dropping her walls and things are moving along good. That is, until her boss and ex-boyfriend run a story and put her name on it, and the thin layer of trust between Knuckles and Celina is ripped in two.

Can they get the trust back and repair their relationship? Will Knuckles stop long enough to listen to her side of the story? Can Celina tell him the secret she just learned without him leaving for good? Oh, and you will not believe the zinger at the end, OMG!

I am loving this series and can't wait for more. It seems to get better with each book. I loved the first one and I think this one was better, but I can't wait to see who the next one will be about, maybe Rogue? Anyway, if you are looking for a great MC story, grab this one and enjoy!

Knuckle Down is the second book in the Cursed Ravens MC series. This is Knuckle's story. Knuckle is not only the Sergeant at Arms of the MC, he's also a single father to two beautiful daughters. He not only does what it takes to protect his club but also what it takes to protect his family.

Knuckle's swore to himself that he would never let another woman back in, given the horrible relationship he had with his girl's mother, who would blame him. A relationship is nothing if there isn't trust and Flora proved over and over again that she couldn't trust Knuckles..

Celina is a journalist for one of the biggest newspapers in her town. Her dream has always been to have her article on the front page. When her cousin Erin invites her to the MC clubhouse for Erin's birthday party, she didn't go with the intention of finding a man. But when she meets Knuckles all bets are off the table.

One thing I loved about this novel is how independent Celina is. I loved her strength throughout this novel. I also loved the fact that Knuckles respected her independence and let Celina have her way. As these two became closer I learned that each of them is tearing down the others walls. These two are more similar than I thought.

I am a sucker for a single father romance, especially when that single father is a member of a Motorcycle Club. I love the fierceness that comes along with the character, the promise of doing anything to protect whats his.

Overall, I really enjoyed Knuckle Down. This was a fast read for me, with compelling storytelling and an on the edge of your seat romance, I was intrigued. However, I did rate this a 4 out of 5 stars due to the insta-love concept and the somewhat predictability that came along with it. I did love Knuckle but, so far in this series, Ace is still my favorite.

Sergeant at Arms. Father. Brother. Lover. Knuckles' role in the Cursed Ravens MC is more than just muscle and intimidation. He's there to protect his extended family, in any way. After a crazy few weeks with his President's newly discovered daughter who becomes his best friend, he comes face to face with her cousin. Classy, sultry, and all around sassy; Celina isn't Knuckles' type but he can't deny the immediate lust he feels seeing her. But what will it take to make this beauty see he's more than just the cut on his shoulders?

Celina knows men, and people really. As a reporter she has to keep a sharp eye for detail. A glimpse into her cousins new motorcycle club family could be the break she's been waiting for. But this wicked MC is more than what them seem. Their number one focus is family, a foreign concept to Celina (apart from her love for her cousin). And their supposed protector, Knuckles, is like a teddy compared to the grizzly expectation she had. He's caring, sweet, and a father to two beautiful girls. And now he's set his focus on Celina and the future he sees them having

I feel like there was a flipped script in this Ravens story. Celina is our standoffish heroine whereas Knuckles, the supposed bad boy, is the calm and collected hero. He's got to peel back the complicated layers of Celina and her trust issues before he can get to heart of her. There's an easy flow to Knuckles' attempts though; he's not pushy or controlling. He sees things as they are and adjusts accordingly. Who knew such a. Badass could be the funniest and sweetest hero of the bunch. With fun at every turn and drama just around the corner, the climax was SO unexpected and I LOVED it. Can't wait to see what's next for the Cursed Ravens.

What can I say? Ms. Fernando is one of my favorite authors. And to think I’m actually enjoying reading MC books, too. Thank you, Ms. Fernando. While this book is about a member of the MC, she still doesn’t tell us exactly what they do. Okay, so we know one thing but none of the bad stuff. And I’m okay with that. I don’t need that. I need the characters, the conflict and more importantly, the romance.
I have to say, Knuckles intrigued me from the start. A club member with kids and a soft spot for his president’s daughter. Her “bestie” at best. I loved Erin in the first book and she just proves how much she has grown in this one. I also liked seeing Gage going on a date, too. But let’s back up for a moment. This book is about Celina, not Erin. I liked Celina from the start. She’s the polar opposite of Knuckles, at first, and then sooner than later, I can see the similarities between them.
I loved how Celina really fought her attraction to Knuckles in the beginning. We got a sweet romance between them, too. Ms. Fernando knows how to write a sweet but sexy romance between her characters. Yes, her formula is simple but just when you thought everything was great, she always manages to throw a HUGE wrench in the story. I never saw it coming and that’s what I love about her writing. Nothing is set in stone until the last word is read.
I know that I’m a newbie to MC books but Ms. Fernando doesn’t write them with all the details. Her books are romantic, heartfelt and above all, about the characters. Do yourself a favor and start reading them. You won’t be disappointed.

Knuckled Down

**received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Knuckles is my favorite of this series and i was so excited that his book was second in the Cursed Raven series. Chantal Fernando has an a way of writing that gets you invested from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. Each book is full of suspense and romance and this one was no different. Knuckles tells it like is and does not hold back and when he is faced with Celina, he knows that he might have met his match, he just needs to convince her that they belong together. Celina doesn’t rely on anyone especially after a messy breakup and when she meets Knuckles she is drawn to him but knows she should stay away. But together they could be dynamite!

Celina loves that her cousin Erin has finally found place with her father and with her man. What. Celina isn’t expecting is to be attracted to a biker herself. She just came out of a messy relationship and wants to focus on her career. But Knuckles breaks down her defenses like no one has before and she can’t help but want to give him a shot.

Knuckles is instantly attracted to Celina and will do what he needs to break down her walls so that she will let him in. He even introduces his girls to her, which is not something he does, but he knows Celina is special. And each time he thinks he has made progress there will be something that will challenge them.

Celina will also put their relationship in jeopardy when she decides to write a story about the MC. Will they be able to weather the obstacles ahead? Or will they be tested to many times for them to make it work out.

This is the second book in the series. We meet Knuckles and Erin's cousin Celina in the first book. Neither are really in the mood for a relationship but sparks sizzle between them. A little fling turns in to so much more.

Love a single parent trope and Knuckles is so great with his pre-teen girls. There is lots of sass and humor in this story. If you are looking for an MC book, I wouldn't necessarily call this series a traditional MC genre. The men are involved in the MC, but most of the action takes place away from the work of the MC. we see the club house and meet the rest of the guys in the club. But the story focuses on the romance of the main characters. Just fair warning--doesn't take away from the story at all.

Loved Celina the most in this one. One well put together lady with lots of thick walls around her heart, Just takes one persistent biker to make her re-assess what she thought she knew. Great awakening for her.

Looking forward to more from this author!

Knuckle Down is a softer side MC romance novel that delivers a little bit of suspense and a whole lot of family love.

I will be honest and say that I wanted a bit more action from the MC club but that I just a personal preference. While I like the dark and brittle MC romances, I think Knuckle Down and The Cursed Ravens MC Series is the perfect series for readers who prefer lighter reads. You get a bit of the big bad biker on the surface but deep down you get the super sweet and family loving men that I think will appeal to a lot of people looking for a softer romance.

Celina is a strong and independent journalist that has learned to rely on herself and herself only. She hasn't let a man in for a very long time and has no plans to do so anytime soon. Yet the moment she locked eyes on Knuckles, she knew he was everything she didn't want but couldn't stay away from. I really enjoyed watching Knuckles knock that wall down.

Knuckles also knew the moment he saw Celina that she was it for him and he does everything he can to pursue her and make her his. I loved that he didn't give up and that he made it impossible for her to say know. I thought it was cute and endearing.

Overall, I enjoyed Knuckle Down. If you are looking for a lighter MC romance book then this is the one for you. It's full of love and family but still has a hint of drama/suspense.

Knuckle Down is the 2nd book in the Cursed Raven series.
We meet Knuckle in Ace of Hearts, and he became Erin's besties. He is also the Sergeant at Arms for the club and damn good cook Celina comes along to the club house for her cousin Erin's birthday, she's a reporter, and has managed to spike Knuckles intrest.
The sparks between Celina and Knuckle are undeniable, but will Celina finally let go of her past and finally let someone in? Let's just say it's hard not to when Knuckle makes her dinner and brings his daughter's along. Celina sees first hand that he's not just a biker but also a great father.
I'm seriously loving this MC family and can't wait for Rogue's book.

4.5 stars

I love this series, that being said I liked Ace’s story much better. I just feel like Knuckles’ story was missing something but overall it is a fantastic read. What more can you ask for than a single father putting his two daughters first especially in the MC world. And then throw Celina’s sassiness and commitment issues into the mix and you have a good book. Bikers usually don’t mix well with journalists, but that doesn’t stop Knuckles from pursuing Celina, from the first meeting he was a goner for her. She took her time warming up to him due to her past. Great continuation of the series. I can’t wait for Rogue’s story!!

Who doesn’t love a big hearted, alpha biker?

Celina and Knuckles are the two you would never picture together. Chantal makes their characters fit so well, that you can’t see them apart.

Celina and Knuckles are upfront with everything. He know he wants her, but she doesn’t want to let him in. Good thing he’s persistent, and won’t back down from her.

It isn’t all bliss between the two. One argument makes them say things they can’t take back, and they walk away from each other. Can she get him to listen to what really happened? Can she finally get pass her trust issues?

I can’t say how much I love Knuckle Down. And I can’t wait to read Rogue. I give knuckle and celina five huge stars

So I hate saying this but I didn’t like Knuckle Down nearly as much as I did the previous book. I love this author’s books so it pains me to type this review.

I was so excited to read about Knuckles, the single dad of two girls and hoped that he would be matched with a kick ass woman who deserved him in her life. Unfortunately what we got was Celina, who happens to be the cousin of Erin who we met in the previous book. Celina was immatures, childish at times and I just didn’t think she was the right match for someone like Knuckles at all. I am not going to go into a huge review stating all the things that didn’t work for me, but I will say the only reason why I did not set the book aside and move onto something else was for Knuckles. Plain and simple he was what kept me reading.

While I didn’t like this one at all, I am still looking forward to the rest of the series because I really did like the previous book. While this one didn’t work for me as much as I had hoped, as always form your own opinion, what didn’t work for me may very well work for you.

There is always something intriguing about a motorcycle club for me. They're not law abiding, but they're deliciously dangerous and (in books) generally good guys on a personal level. Knuckle Down.

Knuckles is a parent to two adorable girls. The mom is around, but not too active in the book. Celina is a journalist. I loved this aspect of the story. She battled with herself over the writing a story about the MC and also had some issues with her place of employment that played a factor.

There is a "big" misunderstanding in Kunckel Down, but it's not the super ridiculous kind that has me rolling my eyes. While I wish there was more talking about things instead of assumptions, but that's also how real life is.

Celina is a strong women, with an equally strong moral and ethical code that I don't think most journalists posses. Knuckles is a loving father but also takes no shit from anyone. It's a good mix and the two of them are perfect for each other.

Chantal Fernando is back with another deeply passionate and satisfying romance, Knuckle Down, the second novel in her Cursed Raven MC series and once again draws readers into this close band of brothers and the women they fall for.

As a journalist for a local paper and a woman used to looking after herself, Celina Hutton prides herself on her direct attitude and her ability to play with the big boys. She never expected to find herself caught up in a motorcycle club however….which is exactly what happens when she joins her younger cousin Erin for birthday celebrations at the clubhouse where Erin’s father reigns and finds herself unexpectedly attracted to the Cursed Raven’s member Knuckles. Bearded, tattooed Knuckles isn’t the kind of male Celina would normally be attracted to with his shaved head and cocky attitude, but there’s something about him that calls to her. Despite her best efforts, Celina soon finds herself falling for Knuckles but as someone who has been hurt before, Celina is used to keeping her guard up. Will Knuckles be able to crack through Celina’s wall? Or will their relationship only bring more pain into her life?

Knuckle Down is yet another deeply enjoyable MC romance rich in passion, sensuality, humour and family. Continuing to explore the Cursed Raven's MC, Chantal Fernando this time brings to life the story of Celina, cousin to previous main character Erin, and Knuckles who we had the pleasure of meeting in the first book. Knuckle Down is another fast paced novel with a romance that heats up and flairs to life quite quickly. The part of me who hates her characters coming on too strong bristled at this, but for the most part I felt their romance was written really well.

Celina is a strong and independent woman, something she prides herself on. She's also very guarded, the result of being hurt by past relationships. Knuckles is in for a fight winning her affections, but as you would expect from the hardheaded and strong-willed biker, he is determined to convince Celina to give a relationship with him a go. It was entertaining seeing Knuckles refuse to back down or let Celina withdraw while also respecting her need to set the pace.

I thought it was very adorable on Fernando's part to include Knuckles daughters in the story, Westley and Willow. Being a father gives Knuckles more substance than just being your typical biker. Obviously being a biker doesn't mean a person can't be a family man, but in this novel having daughters especially seemed to bring out a softer side to the male hero of the story that really worked in my eyes.

So much fun to read and quick to devour, Knuckle Down was another great MC novel from Chantal Fernando. Fernando is my go-to gal for MC novels and continues to retain this title with another great novel. Can't wait to read the next one featuring Rogue!

I love when Chantal writes about the MC world and then she combines characters from past books into all her stories. If you read the first book in The Cursed Ravens, then you know that’s where we met Knuckles. He is the sweet down to earth single father of two beautiful girls and the Sergeant of Arms in the MC. We met Celina at the end of the first book and she is Erin’s cousin and journalist for a paper. When Knuckles and Celina meet for the first time their attraction is intense but Celina fights tooth and nail to keep her walls from crumbling down. Knuckles takes on the task of integrating himself into Celina’s life to get to know her. She finds it funny and irritating because she is an independent woman. Celina has another agenda and that is to write a story about the MC. When she finds out the MC aren’t who she thought they were she puts a stop to the story while someone may be causing trouble in the background. Celina and Knuckles are becoming close all the while there are people trying to keep them apart. Celina has trouble letting people into heart and they both have trouble trusting. When trouble brews Knuckles, and Celina must fight to keep what they have or risk losing out on something special.
I love that men in the MC can be sweet and protective when it comes to family and those they love. This second book was better then the first but still the was some drama in places that there didn’t need to be. I loved Knuckles and when he girls were in scenes they were so cute in their interaction with Celina. Both characters are stubborn and that can cause a lot of drama to unfold. I do love the story line and each scene flowed into one another and never lost momentum. There is an intensity to the men in the MC and when they find a need they will do anything to fight for it. Love that kind of story and Chantal knows how to write those kinds of stories. This one has all the characteristics that she loves to write about and that is why she is one of my favorite authors to read about. We must tone down the dramatics though Chantal and maybe find a happy balance to the drama. Keep on writing though because I love all your MC series and have never missed a book.

3 to 3 1/2 Stars.

For the life of me I could not get into this story. The characters just seemed flat. I enjoyed Knuckles in the last book, but he didn’t even seem like the same character. He seemed dull and kind of blah. I really didn’t feel a connection with him and Celina. Celina was just a cold flat out mean person. She was so mean to knuckles and she too was just flat. I couldn’t relate to her at all.

This book seemed so different from the first. It is almost like a different person wrote it. The characters before got on my nerves, but I was into them. This time the story was a chore to get done.

Was very disappointed. Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
