I picked this one up by mistake thinking it was part of a different series by this author. While I understand it is a series of standalones, I really struggled jumping into the series on the last book and so it didn't work for me.

I enjoyed this 5th book in the Oxford series by Lauren Layne. It was funny, entertaining, and well written.

Brit is feeling a bit low about herself, as she can't seem to find a long-term boyfriend.
Hunter is her boss, and has been her best friend years, and agrees (kind of) to help her figure out how to hold on to a guy for multiple dates...
That can't go wrong, can it???

There were times I was so frustrated by the characters and their actions that I growled out loud and my hubby laughed at me. Their lack of communication drove me crazy!!!

This was a wonderful read, and I would recommend it!

Hot! This was a great fun read, with just the right amount of steamy parts. Brit and Hunter are sooo meant to be together. I don't typically read serialized books out of order, but I couldn't pass this one up based on the description. The character development was great, and I loved that there were so many side characters that became familiar names. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This was a very fun and quick read. In fact, I read it in one day because I just couldn’t put it down. The author did a really great job of relaying those feelings that one gets in the early stages of a relationship, especially one that has been built upon years of friendship. The dialogue was crisp and witty, and the characters sounded like real people, not that stilted and contrived language that RomCom novels sometimes have. The friendships the characters shared, both male and female, were also fun. The only negative is of my own fault, because I didn’t realize that this was the last in a series, so there were references with secondary characters that I didn’t fully understand. That being said, even though I know the end results, I now have a new series that I can eagerly dig into. Oh, and (mini-spoiler alert) fans of a certain 90s sitcom will love the Epilogue. Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I freaking love this series! Lauren Layne writes such great, perfectly flawed characters and gives them such fun and sexy stories!

Hunter Cross loves having Brit Robbins as his best friend, even if she is a female, and one of his employees. She is smart, gorgeous and very dedicated to her job. When Brit comes to him one day complaining that she sucks at dating....everyone just treats her as one of the guys, not as a sexy woman, she decides she needs to take drastic action. She asks Hunter, a huge playboy, to help her learn how to be sexy and how to date. Reluctantly, Hunter ends up agreeing and this is where the fun really begins. Slowly as Hunter is "teaching" Brit dating techniques, their feelings towards each other start to change until they both finally give in. Oh my gosh, the things these two went through were so laugh out loud funny, while being sexy as hell at the same time. The journey they took to get to their happy ending was wonderful and perfect!

Lauren Layne hit all the marks for me with "I Think I love You". Once Brit realizes she's having trouble keeping the interest of the men she has been dating, she wonders what she has been doing wrong and enlists the help of the her friend and boss, Hunter. I loved Brit's and Hunter's friendship and really enjoyed their slow evolution into a aromatic relationship. Layne achieved a perfectly paced slow-burn romance and a well-balanced office romance that feels exciting, not creepy or abusive. Now I want to go back and read about the other characters in the Oxford and Stiletto Series.

This book was incredible! I enjoyed reading this title so much, I've since gone and checked out more titles by this author. The dialogue and character development were superb, and I could not put the book down. One of the best reads I've encountered in a while. Can't wait to read more by this author!

This is a book I didn’t want to read.. because it means two series I have loved are ending. The author rights perfect HEA books that are so addicting and make you feel good. She is the ROMCOM of books in my opinion. The book starts off slow but once you get to 20% it is super hard to put down. This book is a standalone but I wouldn’t recommend it because of how many characters are actually in these two series that all come back together in this book. The author does a bit of reminding you of the characters but if you don’t know them it can be quite confusing and you don’t feel the impact of it all.
This book is about Brit and Hunter our last two single people. Brit has worked for Hunter since the beginning of the series ( I think its 7 years) and they have always had the perfect friend and coworker vibe. Brit is tired of every guy breaking up with within a few months and asking to be friends. Brit doesn’t want any more male friends. What Brit wants is the one. But she has no idea how to get out of the perpetual friendzone and be seen as a “mate” . She decides to enlist her best friend and boss Hunter to teach her the art of Seduction.
You can actually feel the chemistry. You feel the angst. You feel the explosion of emotions. I fell in love with all of Hunter’s actions. He is swoon worthy. I think the book ends too quickly for me and I wanted a bit of a different end. But as usual the book was still perfect..

Five stars of course!!! Lauren Layne is an automatic buy/read for me. I didn't realize this was the conclusion to the Oxford series; I was probably the only one who didn't realize it but what a great way to end the series. I'll miss the characters but I think it was a good ending and wrap up for our favorite Oxford and Stiletto characters! I think the Hunter character could've been a little more flushed out - I feel like we had more of Brit's perspective than his but overall, I really enjoyed this one! I am grateful to NetGalley for the ARC!

Wow I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. From the very first page I could not put this book down. I loved the Oxford and the Stiletto series and reading this book and reading about all the people from both these series again just took me back in time. Lauren Layne did such an amazing job with this book. You got to see this new story about Hunter and Brit who we had meant in previous books. Hunter and Brit just happen to be best friends. Hunter was so hot, and sweet. I think he might just be my new book boyfriend. Then you have Brit who lacks confidence in herself and she is just looking for love. She needs help in the love department and who better to help then your best friend. Things get complicated. Good meaning friends start to interfere and offer their advice. Something that started out as a good deed to help your friend starts to make you feel things. You begin to doubt yourself and you have no idea what to do next. . This book just made me laugh, smile and even cry at times. It took me on such a wonderful journey. I was so sad when I read the last page because I just wished the story to keep going. Honestly I hope that this is not the last book in this series. Thanks so much NetGalley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Okay. So I loved this series and this book. I wasn’t really expecting it to turn the way it did because of how the characters had acted in all of the other books and the way they were acting in the beginning of the book. But it was so evident and so adorable in the way this relationship flourished and the way the friends all came together and helped them. The ending killed me.

Here it is broken down: The character development was on point. It was honestly so perfect. It wasn’t like as soon as Brit suggested this, Hunter was all for it. No, he was adamantly opposed to it. But it was the cutest thing ever. The book was devoured by yours truly and I hadn’t expected anything else from Lauren Layne. And it wasn’t skeezy either. The friendship was still very much there. I think that was why it worked so well. It was all about them two. Not anybody else stepping in. And the epilogue was the cutest thing ever.

The Friends theme song was stuck in my head the whole rest of the day.

I highly recommend it.

I Think I Love You proves yet again why Lauren Layne is one of my go-to contemporary romance authors. I can always depend on her to give me a romance that will make me smile and swoon. She did just that with I Think I Love You.

In I Think I Love You, it's finally Hunter and Britt's turn to fall in love. They've been best friends and co-workers for years. They spend the majority of their time together, and have honestly never been attracted to each other. Hunter and Britt have one of those special platonic friendships no believes are real, but theirs is... Or at least it is until Britt asks Hunter to teach her the art of seduction.

This book was a typical LL read. She took me on a fun and fast-paced journey from friendship to love. I enjoyed every minute of it. There wasn't a ton of drama, and I loved watching Hunter and Britt realize they really were more than just friends. I also enjoyed seeing the other members of the Oxford / Stiletto gang again. I Think I Love You was a great ending to an incredibly fun series.

When Brit determines that she can't keep a man, she decides to turn to her best friend, Hunter, to be her dating coach. Hunter teaches Brit in the ins and outs of how to dress to attract a man, first dates, first kisses, and how to be sexy, but along the way, the two realize that have more than friendly feelings for one another. This is a sweet romance that brings an end to the Oxford/Stiletto series.

I received I Think I Love You by Lauren Layne for free in exchange for an honest review through NetGalley. This was not my first Lauren Layne book, nor will it be my last. She writes a solid romance. Brit and Hunter were both loveable, funny characters. I found myself rooting for them. Obviously the ending isn't a surprise, but that's why I read these. I love a happily ever after. I found myself giggling at the story at times, but it was still quite steamy/hot in other places. I devoured this book in one day. Bring on more Ms. Layne! You will always be on my "to buy" list!

I love a good friends to lovers story and this one is so cute! Brit enlists her friend Hunter to help her learn how to seduce a man and actually be able to get into a relationship with one, not just a couple of dates. Little did Hunter know that by helping her, he would be the one completely knocked off his axis, seduced and thoroughly entranced by his best friend.
Sweet story! Loved Hunter and Brit together in all ways.

Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC!

I expected to love this last installment, I Think I Love You, of Lauren Layne's Oxford series because I have been loving everything that Layne has written lately. She could do her own version of the telephone book and make it a new and necessary item.

The actual love story between best friends Hunter and Brit is fun and interesting but feels like a vehicle that brings together all of the characters from the Oxford and Stiletto series instead of being the complete focus of the novel. While I can understand Layne wanting to give the Oxford series fans a treat, I felt it was a little at the cost of Hunter and Brit's story.

That said, I read this after a rather contrived and poorly written romance, and the fact is that even a semi-disappointing Layne is better than many of the romances readers encounter, especially if you like smart dialogue, and emotion and reactions that feel "right."

While I personally would have liked more from this novel, it is definitely a must-read for those who've followed the series.

I am an absolute huge fan of Lauren Layne! I love all her books and this one was spot on for humor, love and romantic angst again. I would highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone.

This book follows best friends Brit and Hunter who are also co-workers; in fact, Hunter is Brit's boss. Brit is spunky and adorable and is able to make every person her best friend...including anyone she tries to date. Fed up with always being dumped due to no spark, Brit decides she needs some lessons in seduction. Enter her best friend Hunter, a good looking, successful man who is a serial dater. Hunter is vehemently opposed to this plan until he sees Brit trying to put it into action without him. Reluctantly he agrees to help her and as you can imagine, they both start to see the other in a very different light. They have trouble navigating the new pitfalls in their relationship but the real test comes when Hunter has some family issues to deal with. I don't want to spoil things in the book but I loved the ending.

This book is adorable and the interactions between all the characters are hilarious; Lauren really knows how to make you feel like you are part of a family when you read her series. I'd recommend anything she writes.

The best thing about this friends to lovers story is Britt and Hunter, the friends who become lovers. They are completely charming. Their friendship seems natural and oddly unaffected by the fact that he is her boss at work - at least nominally.
I wish they could have discovered their attraction in some way other than Britt asking Hunter to teach her how to be seductive so guys wouldn’t immediately friend zone her - possibly my least favorite plot device. While it is almost impossible not to go down the predictable plot path of fake dates turning real, jealousy, mixed signals, and confusion as to what it all means, it doesn’t matter. The journey is so enjoyable with these characters that I’d happily follow them down whatever plot path they’re on.
While you don’t have to have read other books in this series to enjoy this one, there are plenty of opportunities to peak into the lives of characters from the previous books.

Okay, so I’ve read quite a few of Lauren Layne’s books, and have really enjoyed all of them, especially this series, so I was very excited to get the opportunity to read the final book in the Oxford Series. For me, this book started out really slow, in fact, I almost chose not to finish it, but given I loved the other books, I decided to forge forward to see if it was going to pick up. Thankfully, after about the fourth chapter it became a very enjoyable, humorous, hot and sexy story. I’m okay with the friends to lovers books, loved Hunter and Brit as really good friends, didn’t really like the “coaching” aspect of the relationship, but when things finally turned it was soooo well worth sticking with the story. I adore the other characters in this series, everyone just seems to melt together into this very close knit group of great friends, really a very funny and down to earth group. Closing epilogue was great, although I would love a follow up book to close up certain relationships, I’m just that kind of romantic person who wants details of great characters in a complete closure, but I get it if the author is done. Loved the series, and really enjoyed this book once it got past the first few chapters.
