Lauren Layne is one of my favorites for contemporary romance, and this one was fun! The friends-to-lovers trope can be an enjoyable one, and Layne did a nice job of making it feel realistic. I appreciated that there wasn't much overblown, irrational drama or silly misunderstandings or lack of simple communication. There also wasn't the years of pining on the part of one or both of them. It was refreshing that they truly had been best friends who didn't realize what they had. Hunter and Brit were both likable, and it was fun to see the whole Oxford and Stiletto crowd to end the series!

Layne gracefully brings the Oxford and Stiletto series to a close with this last entry.
This series is sheer wish fulfillment, gorgeous people at two super successful magazines living high style in New York. Interestingly enough, Layne chooses to bring together a couple who have been best friends for six years.
Brit and Hunter seem perfectly content with their platonic friendship. Brit is friends with everybody . . . and that's the problem. She comes to Hunter bummed after being dumped by yet another guy. Why is it she's friend-zoned by every guy she dates? What's wrong with her?
Then she gets a brilliant idea: since Hunter is so successful with the ladies, he has to teach his best how to be seductive!
You know what has to happen from there, and it does. The two have an unexpectedly rocky road as they try to figure out themselves, their relationship and their future.
Told in LL's usually smooth, vivid, often funny style, I only glitched once at former couples showing up all smiles and giggles. Mostly she did a good job with showing the great lives of the couples from other stories.
A thoroughly enjoyable romance, perfect for summer reading.

*I won this book off of Netgalley for my honest opinion*
This is the first time I have read a Lauren Layne book and it won't be my last. She sucked me in right away with the characters and their chemistry. I loved the chemistry and history she had created with Hunter and Brit. I am big sucker for friends to more and this one definitely delivered. My heart ached at times and I couldn't stop smiling at times. It was a wonderful read that I couldn't put down!

I'm going to start this off by saying that this is the first book I've read in the Oxford and the Stiletto series. I was afraid that I would be lost on what was going in with it being the last book of a series, however, I was still able to follow the story and fall in love with all the characters. I'm definitely going to go back and start at the beginning so I can read about everyone's stories.
I Think I Love You is all about Hudson and Britt. They are best friends turned lovers. Britt has a rough time with dating and is constantly "friend-zoned" by any guy she dates, so she asks her BFF Hudson to teach her the art of seduction. I am absolutely in love with the friendship and their chemistry. You get the feeling that they would do anything for each other.
It wasn't just Hudson and Britt that stole the story but their friendships with everyone else at the Oxford and Stiletto offices (which is why I need to go back and read the others).
This was a beautiful friends to lovers romance story. I couldn't put it down and was not ready for it to end. Despite not having read the other books in the series it was a perfect ending for everyone. It was beautifully written and I may have shed a tear or two at the end.
This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the genre.
This ARC was provided to me by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I Think I Love You is book 5 of Oxford Series by Lauren Layne. The Oxford Series follows a group of men and women who work at a popular men's magazine. Each book focuses on one couple and it's a spinoff of the Stilleto series which is a women's fashion magazine. I Think I Love You is the final book of this series and it was perfection. This is a friends to lover romance that featured many of the secondary characters from previous books so you get an update on what they have been up to.
Characters: I can identify with Brit's friendliness and struggle finding the right match. She is everyone's best friend. She helps making sure everyone is at ease. She just seems to be in the friend zone. I think having Hunter as her best friend can be intimidating for future partners.
Hunter is a serial dater. He knows he is moving out of NYC so he doesn't want to settle down in relationship. He is a catch. He is available. He has a good job. He is good looking. He is not your typical alpha hero.
I love the friendship between Hunter and Brit. They have history together. They are comfortable with each other.
Plot: I knew that there must be something that can trigger the change between friends to lovers romance, however I wasn't a huge fan over the seduction lessons. I love how involved their friends were in the relationship.
Romance: This was a swoony read. I am huge fan of friends to lovers romance. Hunter is a good guy and it showed a healthy relationship. This was a slow burn romance. They didn't kiss until the middle of the book.
My feels: I absolutely loved this book! It makes me want to re-read this whole series. I love how all of the other couples showed up and played a role in this book. This was a great conclusion to a great series.

I Think I Love You is the final book in the Oxford series by Lauren Layne. It feels like the end of an era. I'm super sad that we won't be getting any new books in this series because I've enjoyed every single book and have come to care about all of these characters that I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with my life now.
I Think I Love You follows Brit Robbins and Hunter Cross as they make that emotional love journey from best friends to more than best friends.
Brit has once again been dumped by her boyfriend because he thought they were better suited in the friend zone and Brit is tired of always being friend zoned so she concocts a plan to get her best friend Hunter to show her how to seduce men into wanting to be more than her friend.
Hunter hasn't gotten into a long-term relationship because he always thought that he'd move back home to Kansas City and settle down there. Starting something with someone in New York just didn't seem like a good idea to him and he's never thought about Brit in that light since they've always been such good friends but with this whole love coach business, Hunter is seeing Brit in a different light and he has no idea what to do with these thoughts, these feelings and the more time he spends with Brit, the more he realizes that maybe she doesn't see him like that.
Lauren Layne writes my favorite kind of contemporary romances. The big city romances with strong, big city characters that you can't help but cheer for because her writing style is so engaging. Brit and Hunter wormed their way into my heart and I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them fall in love with each other. The other thing that this book had going for it was everyone else from the Sex, Love and Stilettos and Oxford books. I enjoyed the heck out of the previous books in both of those series so seeing everyone come together in friendship and support in this book made me happy. This series ended on a high note and though I'll miss everyone, I thought this book was a great send off. I definitely recommend.
Grade: 4.5 out of 5

ANother fabulous story by Ms. Layne. Solid plot building and characters. Interesting. Loved how the story ends

This book was so great and enjoyable but it is also bittersweet. This book marks the end of a series, but really two series. Both the Oxford Series and the Stiletto Series are wrapped up with this final book. I loved reading this book because I got to reconnect with all the past couples as far back as Julie and Mitchell (Book 1 Stiletto Series)
I Think I Love you is the final book in the Oxford Series by Lauren Layne. It can be read as a complete standalone, but this is a series that I would suggest reading in order to get the full experience of these friendships. Plus you do see ALL the past couples from both series so you might want to meet them first, but you don’t have to. This story is told in Dual POV in the third person. I loved the storyline and all the characters.
This is a sweet, sexy and entertaining friends to lovers/office romance. There was just enough angst to keep you turning the pages and I loved the added little bit of the forbidden being and office romance. But what I loved the most about this story was Brit and Hunter’s friendship. I laughed, swooned, yelled, and even shed a tear for them. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Lauren Layne book.
We follow Brit and Hunter’s friendship in this installment to the series. Both Brit and Hunter work at Oxford and have been best friends for over 6 years. So when Brit feels like her love life has stalled and she keeps getting put into the “friend zone”, who better to turn to for advice then her male best friend Hunter. To say he isn’t on board right away is putting it mildly. But with some coaching and advice from the other Oxford males, he decides to help. Can Brit and Hunter keep things platonic?? What happens when they cross that line?? What happens when Hunter has to make a tough decision?? Can these two find their HEA?? Read this fun friends to lovers romance story to find out.
I LOVED seeing all and reconnection with all the past characters in this book. I thought Lauren wrapped up these two series perfectly. Although I will miss this cast of characters quite a bit, good thing I can always reread these books….and I will!!!!
I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Lauren Layne’s books or who have already read the other books in this series. You don’t want to miss this ending!! But if you haven’t read any books by Lauren or any of the books in this series….What are you waiting for. Start reading these wonderful books!!!

I am sad to see this series end and really wish I had loved this final book more. While it is a solid friends to lovers story it missed some of the magic of the earlier books. The plot was fairly typical and with such a short book the amount of time spent on former couples was more distracting than anything.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review..

‘I Think I Love You’ feels like the true end to Lauren Layne’s Oxford series, a not quite full-length tale of the last standing couple, who don’t even know they’re meant to be paired with…yet. Layne tackles the friends-to-lovers trope here and straightaway, I knew it would be a tricky one with questions that needed to be answered—questions that this trope always seems to invite for the pairing to be a believable and satisfying one.
Brit and Hunter slide in somewhere later in the Oxford series as best friends, and as boss and subordinate, whose status-quo hasn’t changed in years, until Brit stirs the waters by adding a particularly farcical element in the setup which, according to Layne, has the power to change everything they know about each other. As a plot device that sets the action and the romance on a predictable path, Brit’s apparent seduction tutoring works all too well. So the story goes.
It inevitably goes sideways and it isn’t a surprise to see Hunter screwing up colossally, but what is frustrating is his not doing enough to make up for it and Brit being too soft-hearted about it. With the abrupt conclusion however, there isn’t a chance to see Hunter fighting for a relationship with Brit, which I knew I needed to read after the way he’s waffled too much in his manly cowardice. In other words, the grovelling hardly matches the crime.
I was actually more interested in the implications of this trope and how Layne would tackle the explanation of the sudden flip in the switch in their relationship when years of never looking at each other ‘that way’ were thrown to the wind—because this would probably justify the validity (which I can’t quite blindly accept as timing, serendipity or the sudden realisation of scales falling from eyes) so to speak, of best friends becoming lovers. How does a seduction plan inexplicably turn Hunter into looking at Brit from a platonic friend into someone else? There’s a suggestion here that a platonic friendship perpetually hangs on a knife’s edge, needing merely the slightest thing for it to tip over into a different space, so would that have meant that Hunter and Brit would never have crossed any line had Brit not taken the first step?
The long and short is, I’m not entirely sure if I’m quite convinced about this trope still. It’s probably cynicism speaking here nonetheless and that Layne chooses to tackle this once again isn’t surprising seeing how often it appears in her books. I do think Hunter and Brit do ultimately belong together—best friends can and do make good lovers—only that I had hoped for a more solid grounding for them becoming a couple other than sudden, forced proximity with all the talk of dating and seduction giving them the orgasmic shivers.
As far as it goes, my wistfulness with finishing this series probably has to do with my introduction to Layne via Penelope/Cole, whose story started my going down the Oxford rabbit hole. I loved seeing the rest of the Oxford crew even if some stories worked better than others for me, and with all the series I’ve gone through, I had hoped this one ended more on a bang for me.

So glad to get Hunter’s story, this was fun from start to finish. Loved the chemistry between Brit and Hunter, plenty of sexiness and the right amount of angst

What a wonderful way to end this incredible series! Brit and Hunter made this slow burning, friends to lovers story impossible to put down. From slapping your forehead at their obvious denial to cheering their finally giving in, their story was full of witty dialogue, steamy chemistry, and deep emotion. I’m sad to see the Stiletto/Oxford series end but it was really a perfect ending.

I Think I Love You was ooo freaking cute!! This was an adorable friends to lovers romance that I couldn't put down. I know when I dive into a Lauren Layne book, I'm in for a book that will make me feel good and smile, and this one didn't disappoint. It was a delicious friends to lovers romance, with a slow burn that had me glued to the pages. Brit and Hunter were phenomenal together, both as friends and as more. I read this book out of order, but now I feel like catching up on the rest of the Oxford/Stiletto books, it was that good!

In the last installment of Lauren Layne’s OXFORD SERIES, best friends Brit Robbins and Hunter Chase are finagling their single ways through NY, dating, working, having fun with all their friend at the STILLETO and OXFORD offices.
But…Brit starts to realize that although all the guys she dates are great, they don’t see her as the happily ever after kind of girl. She’s been relegated to “friend” status more times than any girl she knows and want to know just exactly what is wrong with her. Why don’t the guys find her worthy, or sexy, or marriage material? For help in figuring this out she enlists her best friend –who also happens to be her boss, Hunter Chase in helping her discover what she’s doing wrong and to teach her how to get a man to like her – like a woman and not a friend.
Right away you can see where this is going, and especially since it’s a Lauren Layne book, you know it’s gonna be a heck’uv’a fun ride from best friends to lovers to whatever else happens!
I always lose sleep whenever a new LL book comes on the market, this time no difference. I all but inhaled this book from cover to cover ( Well, Kindle margin to Kindle margin if we’re being truthful!) Layne’s characters are always perfectly drawn, real people you can see yourself being besties and having cocktails with. Through in the fact that every other OXFORD/STILETTO character was featured in this book as well, and I gladly gave up a night’s sleep just to spend some time with the gang again.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an arc of this book. It is so worth the 5 stars I’m rating it as. Wish I could give it more!

Ah! One of my most anticipated books of the year and it did not disappoint! Hunter and Brit were so cute and I loved getting their story. So in love with this series and sad to see it end.

Reading the final book in the Oxford series is such a bitter-sweet feeling as Hunter and Brit come under the relationship spotlight in this friends to lovers romance.
Living and working in Manhattan's fast-paced environment is a long way from Hunter Cross' roots in Kansas. He enjoys his life in 'the city that never sleeps', but it isn't home. He has always viewed his time here as a temporary phase in his life. As a result, his only permanent relationship is his friendship with Brit; it simplifies his daily routine until the time is right to move back west. That's until she asks him for a favour resulting in emotional turmoil and the end of their relationship as they know it.
Brit Robbins has a problem. She wants what her friends have...whisked off her feet except she always ends up in the friends' zone. The men she dates only hang around for a short while until they may their excuse and leave. What is her problem? She decides to enlist her best friend and boss Hunter to resolve her dilemma and is grateful when he reluctantly agrees to help. Only, his assistance triggers feelings neither of them can ignore.
For me, this series is pure escapism. The employees at Oxford and Stiletto are polished and professional in their designer suits and shoes. They work hard and play equally hard but maintain friendships with their work colleagues. The banter is humorous and fun as they enjoy their glamorous lifestyles. I Think I Love You ticks all those boxes as Brit's plan takes an unexpected turn as she and Hunter get emotionally closer to each other. It's tricky uncharted water for them both as employee and boss. Yet, somehow, it works, until it doesn't and the consequences are life changing.
The end felt a little rushed as Hunter finally comes to his senses, and Brit meets him halfway by deciding to take matters into her own hands. It gets Hunter 'off the hook' but I would have liked him to grovel significantly more. However, I respect Lauren's decision for two people who otherwise know each other so well, both are sufficiently mature to realise there isn't any point making mountains out of molehills...even if I wanted slightly more drama. (wink)
I've loved every Oxford novel. Each couple featured compliment each other perfectly and it's been entertaining to keep track of them all throughout the series. The epilogue is a little sugary for my taste but I wholeheartedly appreciate the author's sincere sentiment as we say goodbye to characters we love.
4.5 stars

Brit and Hunter have been friends for years but when Brit asks Hunter to be her seduction coach, their dynamic slowly changes. Both start to realize how important the other is in their life. I loved getting to see the Stiletto and Oxford friends, I mean characters! These people are so real and having them all together again was awesome!

So I am pretty sure that I wont request another book from this author and maybe I am being harsh, but this is the second book I have read from this author that just didn't do much for me and while I didn't hate the first book I read from her I kind of hated this one. Why you may ask? Being one of the main characters was a jerk and while I have read other books that the main character was an ass they tended to redeem themselves somewhat, this guys Ian didn't in my eyes and I do not find that sexy at all. So while I may be in the minority here it is what it is. I couldn't stomach him and I was disappointed in Lara who seemed to be a smart woman and tough with others she truly needed to be tough will Ian she didn't however..

I am not going to write a summary of the story because you already get that - I am simply giving my honest review of this book. I have read many Lauren Lane books and the and Oxford series are some of my favorites. I have read the entire series and I have to say that this is my favorite one - and it's a tough crowd to beat. Lauren writes great characters and her stories flow. I am sorry to see this series end.....they have been wonderful books. I highly recommed this book as well as the others in the series.....they are well worth your time!

I have read every book in this series and I love them all. This book is about Hunter and Brit.Hunter is Brits boss and her best friend.
Brit and Hunter arecomplete opposites when it comes to their dating lives. Hunter can date any woman and they want more than one date from him and that’s all he really wants. Brit on the other hand wants to find the one and settle down. Brits relationships only last a couple of months, nothing long term. So Brit decides that she needs a guy to help her be more desirable to men so that maybe she can find the one.
Brit asks Hunter to help coach her and at first Hunter ishuts her down but finally accepts. As Hunter coaches Brit to be desirable he starts seeing she is very desirable to him. Then the coaching stops being coaching and gets a little res
.
This is a very sweet book of two people finding there forever. All be it only one of them was looking for forever. This is a dual POV, funny and super sweet. I loved this book and all the other ones in th Oxford series.
