Brit Robbins is a beautiful woman living in Manhattan. She has a great apartment, fabulous friends, and an amazing job at Oxford Magazine. The only thing missing is her Mr. Right. After yet another break up, she's beginning to wonder what's wrong with her. The men of New York didn't seem to take her seriously as girlfriend material. She was attractive, loyal, friendly, and made people feel comfortable. She dated, but things never made it to the next level. She's often treated like one of the guys. It was like she was locked in the perpetual friend zone.

She decides she needs a new strategy and a plan. She wants romance, love, passion, and her happily ever after. She also wants to feel uncontrollable all-consuming lust. She comes to the conclusion she needs a teacher. An expert, someone to be her love coach. To teach her how to seduce a man, and be sexy. She picks her best friend and boss Hunter Cross, who she trusts more than anyone. He's extremely hot, charismatic, and has the experience she could benefit from. He's dated a lot and was a bit of a playboy.

Hunter has been best friends with Brit for the past six years. He cares deeply for her, but his feelings for her have always been platonic. They were close, and talked work, relationships, and everything in between. There's nothing he wouldn't do for her, but then she stuns him with her request to give her a lesson in the art of seduction. He reluctantly agrees, and helps her to just feel, and not overthink things so much. She's tired of being the pal, and wants to be seen by men as a desirable woman. She just needs some pointers on how to get guys to fall for her.

It's awkward at first, and their uncomplicated relationship suddenly is overflowing with sexual tension. Things feel different as they become really aware of one another for the first time. There is flirting, intense attraction, jealousy, and soon everything has changed between them. Their plan derails when their pretending becomes something real. They both find themselves wanting more and best friends turns into best friends with benefits. Brit has finally found that spark she's been looking for, and Hunter realizes he's taught her maybe a little too well, as he figures out he's the man she's thoroughly seducing.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers office romance that takes place in the Stiletto/Oxford world. This was a fun, flirty, sexy story about two best friends who find love in the last place they expected. I adored Hunter and the special relationship he had with Brit. I love this series and this author's writing.

Lauren Layne and her Oxford men are just hot, sexy and in some case clueless when it comes to women. The attraction between Hunter and Brit is sweet, thoughtful yet when it comes to what's really between them is hot. I loved that Brit is a strong woman yet we see a side of her that just wants to be loved. Hunter has always been there and boy when he helps out he helps in a way he never knew was missing from his life. All in all this was another great story in this series cannot wait to see what comes next in the Oxford series.

Knowing that this is the final book of Lauren Layne's Oxford series, I went into it feeling nostalgic, excited, and a bit sad. I have loved these characters. I have enjoyed every minute of time I spent with them. And I will miss them terribly.

I think it's fitting that Lauren Layne concludes with Hunter and Brit's story. We've seen flashes of them throughout the series, and we knew--as did their friends and co-workers--that there was more to this whole "we're just best friends" thing, even if they had no clue. Fortunately, the clue hits them big time and in the most delightful, fulfilling way.

It starts as a favor: Brit wants Hunter to help her become more appealing to men. What neither anticipates is that she will become more appealing to HIM, and vice-versa. My favorite moments in this book were the little ones as Hunter and Brit discovered that they might just love each other romantically: the way he notices how she looks in jeans, the way she reacts when he touches the small of her back. FABULOUS.

Not that anything will come easily to them. Lauren Layne sets up their inevitable conflict, going in a direction that is neither predictable nor hackneyed. This shows respect for her story and her characters. I enjoyed how she incorporated characters from other books in the series, whether as friends, bosses, or a Greek chorus of sorts. They help Hunter and Brit understand how they feel about each other and the problems they face, and they help them figure out what to do about it.

The epilogue is bittersweet, and you can sense that it is for Lauren Layne, too. These two series and their characters have brought us joy, broken our hearts, and delivered the quiver. They have been our friends, and for that, I am quite grateful.

This was a super cute, quick, enjoyable read. This was the last in the Stiletto/Oxford series but can be read as a standalone. Layne does a really good recap within the chapters so you know who these side characters are from previous books.

It was a friends to lovers story. Their friendship was so cute. Their banter and chemistry was great. It was super slow burn.

With this being the last in the Stiletto/Oxford series, I think those exchanges were my favorite parts of the book. Layne got every single character in there. I loved the friendships both the girls and guys had with each other. And that epilogue was amazing and the perfect end to the series!

Hunter and Brit are best friends, they know everything about each other.Brit needs help with her appeal to men and who is better to help her than Hunter? Soon they will understand that they have feeling for each other and things will get interesting.

They story isn't unique yet I loved it!It was fast paced and I didn't get bored. If you are looking for a sweet and sexy romance this is perfect for you!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing -- Loveswept for a copy of this book.

I love Lauren Layne, I really do. And while I don't love her any less after the final book in the Oxford series, I am going on the record to say that I like the Sex, Love and Stiletto series better. They are both set in the same world but the other one had something extra that I felt Oxford didn't. Can't tell you what that is and they are both worth reading. Anyway, this is about I Think I Love You so let's dish.

The final installment of the Oxford series focuses on Brit and Hunter. These two BFF work together and have a connection unlike any they have with other people. After Brit's latest date with a guy, she realizes (with the help of her friends) that guys treat her like a friend. She never feels special with them and it's always insta-friend zone. So she asks Hunter to teach her how to date/seduce men. And if you have ever read a romance novel, you know what comes next. I love the two of them together. They call each other on their BS, talk to the wee hours of the morning and have great sex. They were friends first. Which is great. I just think that I need to take break from the friends to lovers trope for a while. It annoyed me because it seemed to reinforce that men and women can't be friends in romance novels and dang it, I want that to happen more than it does without it developing in to something more or one of them being gay.

One thing that really annoyed me was the constant use of the character's last names. I'm a firm believer that when you mention the character's full name once, you're done. Unless they happen to be introducing themselves to someone, once and done. This felt like 80% of the time a secondary character came in, they were full named. And it got really annoying really quickly. But that's just my pet peeve. I'm weird.

I gave the book a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It's a good book. It's not one I will rave about but I didn't hate it, it was light and sexy and had good characters. Great vacation or Sunday afternoon read.

I Think I Love You is an entertaining friends to lovers romance. It is part of a series, but works perfectly as a standalone. Hunter and Brit are good together - not great, but good enough that I could buy in to the romance. The story does have plenty of fun banter, which I always appreciate and I liked the approach to the romance with Brit asking Hunter for help in her dating life. The story is predictable, progressively moving from friends to physical attraction and then something more, with the bit of drama thrown in to keep things moving, but it is still entertaining and lighthearted, making it great for a low angst weekend read. The biggest drawback for me lay in the best friends aspect of the plot. Casual friends, I could see, but these two knew surprisingly little about each other to be best friends. The fact that Hunter has always seen his New York life as temporary and plans to move back to his home town seems like something a best friend would know, yet Brit is completely blindsided. It just didn't ring true for me. That aside, the story is a fun read and even though I haven't read the other books in the series, I didn't have any problem following the story, including the appearances of what I assume are past couples in the series.

Thank you thank you thank you Lauren Layne for giving us the story of Hunter and Brit, and even more for giving them the most perfect story we could wish for!

My gosh, I’ve just finished the book and I have a huge small fixed on my face.

This book has, once again, confirmed Lauren as one of my absolutely favourite authors.
She just has a way with words, dialogues, with everything concerning creating a story, that is simply catching and mesmerising.
You know, the storyline was not the most particular one, a friends to lovers story, but it was written with such a maestry that I couldn’t literally put the book down.

I already loved Hunter and Brit from the previous books, and I fell even more in love with them after their story. I can now confirm that they are quite simply a perfect couple. They balance each other, Brit with her bubbly and warm personality, Hunter with his more subdued but oh so sexy character.
I loved how their relationship morphed from friendship to something more, and from something more to more more.
They had their up and downs, but one thing that I appreciated was that deep down they always knew how much they meant to each other, and even after some disagreements they managed to find the way back to each other really quickly, and without meaningless dramatic scenes. 😍

The whole family of Oxford and Stiletto was just amazing, so heartwarming and just great. It’s breaking my heart a little bit knowing that this is the last book of this huge and happy family, but I hope we will get some small novellas in the future!! I need my Oxford/Stiletto family fix every once in a while!

So yeah, definitely read this book, you won’t regret it. And if you’ve not read the previous books of the series, what are you waiting for??? Go pick them up, you can thank me later 😜❤️

I Think I Love You was the quintessential friends-to-lovers romance—the absolute best rendition of the beloved trope. The subtle progression from the best of friends to feeling that hidden spark of attraction was perfectly penned to capture the ‘before‘ with succinctness. With Layne’s skill at crafting relationships it was easy to fall into their history without having been a part of it and believe the basis of their foundation, making their fall into more even more believable.

I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful and sexy and lighthearted this story was. But mostly how fun it was to see two best friends cross a line they thought was safe in order for him to teach her the art of seduction at her request. Those little moments that shook each of them off balance, whether from a touch or a lingering glance or falling too deeply into the acting, were incredibly enjoyable and thrilling, and I found myself anxious for the next moment and the next. The tension and banter and frustration that built from it made their eventual fall even sexier than what was expected. My stomach was somersaulting its way through the entire novel—and I couldn’t devour it fast enough.

I Think I Love You was a fantastic feel-good love story that demands to be consumed in one sitting. Even with how sad I am that the Oxford series is now complete, I’m on a high with how wonderful the send-off was. If ever there was a novel to cheer on with shouts of Yes! as you read it, it’d be this one—and you really should read it.

I Think I Love You is the final book in the Oxford series, but it reads as a stand alone. I haven't read any of the previous books and didn't have any issue enjoying this one!

Hunter and Brit are best friends. They have been best friends for years. Brit turns to her BFF to get some dating advice. You can guess how this will end up, right. Overall, the story is predictable. Of course they realize they have feelings for each other. Of course Hunter freaks out about it-she's his friend, he is bad at relationships, blah blah blah. Now, I don't mean this as a negative. It was still enjoyable to watch these two fumble their way through their feelings. Plus, the supporting characters are great and add some fun. There were a few times I wanted to throat punch Hunter for being so dense, but overall I thought he and Brit were great characters.

I Think I Love You is a hit for readers who love the friends to lovers trope, great banter (Lauren Layne is the queen of banter), and the perfect balance between light/fun and endearing/romantic.

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher, via NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Hunter Cross has been best friends with his senior production manager, Brit Robbins, at Oxford magazine for 6 years. But Brit has a problem. While all their friends at Oxford and the sister magazine, Stiletto (like Men's and Women's Health), seem to have paired up and found their someone special, she seems to be put into the friend category by all her dates. So she asks her best friend, Hunter, to be her dating coach, like Will Smith, in the movie Hitch. Hunter reluctantly agrees, but as he helps her, he finds that their relationship shifts and he doesn't want anyone else dating her.

Although this is the 5 and last book in the series, it is the first that I have read, but worked for me as a stand alone. While there are quite a few secondary characters from the previous books, enough context is added when each is introduced, so that it is not an issue. The main characters are masterfully developed as their relationship shifts. Friends to lovers stories are especially close to my heart, as I married my best friend 39 years ago.

To be honest, the synopsis for I Think I Love You almost scared me off. Anything where the plot sounds like it’s centered around a physical relationship is not generally my thing. However, I’ve learned that when it comes to a Lauren Layne book, it’s always best to give her the benefit of the doubt and I’m once again glad I did. While there were a few of the too-graphic scenes I don’t really appreciate, there weren’t more than her other books I’ve read have had.

One of my favorite Romance tropes is Friends-to-More and I Think I Love You utilized it really well. I loved Brit and Hunter’s friendship. I’m really glad that we got to see them together as friends before they really began to fall for each other. I was expecting the “lessons in seduction” to be kind of cringe-worthy and they really weren’t. It was mostly Hunter reinforcing to Brit that there wasn’t anything wrong with her and she just needed to be relax and be herself.

This is the last book in the Oxford series, which is also connected to another book series from Layne. However, this is the first book from either series I’ve read. There were a lot of side characters that were kind of hard for me to keep track of, being unfamiliar with the couples from the previous books, but I think fans of the series will be pretty happy with the cameos. They did make me want to go back and read some of the books I’ve missed.

Overall, I really enjoyed I Think I Love You. It was a quick, cute read (I read it in a day) with likable characters. Lauren Layne continues to be one of my favorite Romance authors and I’m really looking forward to whatever she writes next.

Overall Rating (out of 5): 4 Stars

As always, Lauren Layne nails the rom com category. I really enjoyed this best friends to lovers romance. I could feel the connection between Brit and Hunter as friends and then even more so as they became more. For me friends to lovers, especially best friends, is really hard to make believable, but I was fully invested in this. Lauren's books always read like movies to me and I think that's why I love them so much. They're the perfect length and pack enough tension and heat to keep me engaged for the entire book. I Think I Love You was no exception. I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but I look forward to whatever gems Lauren has in store for her readers next.

Brit is having troubles finding the one. She has guys ask her out but it never goes past the first date. She can’t seem to get out of the friend zone. With all of her friends getting married she just doesn’t understand what is wrong with her. So who better than to ask her help her to find someone other than her best friend Hunter. At first Hunter is like heck no but when he sees her flirting with a guy he doesn’t care for he changes his mind. But once they get started it awakens something in both of them that they never realized before. This book is a friends to lovers and it is really good. Book given to me by author on netgalley.

This was a fun read with Brit and Hunter discovering they can be more than friends. Loved the group of friends and how the drama didn't go over the top. The change from friends to lovers was done well and I really enjoyed the way the author wrote it. Life got in my way or this would have been a one siting read. I will definitely be picking up the others in the series.

I Think I Love You is one of those sweet and sexy romance books. It's a friends-to-lovers. It's adorable. It's fun. I want a Hunter for myself. And I want friends like those who work at Stiletto and Oxford.

This is the last book in the series, but the first one I've read. Backwards, I know. And not something I usually do, but it's really a series of standalones and this can be read without the others. I was content knowing the secondary characters were all in other books, but not upset that I didn't know their stories (I will one day because they were just too much fun to not read).

Hunter and Brit are best friends. The ultimate best friends. They talk to each other about everything and would do anything for the other.
Which is exactly what Brit is counting on when she asks her best friend to help guide her in the ways of dating.
What neither of them could have foreseen were the feelings and sparks that would fly when they pretended to break that friendship barrier.

I couldn't put this down. Seriously. I wanted to read through the night, but sleep called my name. They were just so much fun and it was so entertaining to watch them fall for each other. You should definitely give this book a read. You'll feel good when you're finished.
"Trust me on this. The key to being irresistible? Quit trying so dam hard to be everyone's best friend. Just be you."
"Says my actual best friend."

Prior to I Think I Love You I'd read two books by this author - a hit and a miss. So I knew going into this that it was a gamble. I found the hero too hesitant for me, and a man not willing to stand up for himself was just a turn off. How hard is it to tell a date, 'you know; I don't think I want to sleep with you tonight?' Instead, his 'best friend' butts her nose in and takes care of it for him by pretending to be his betrayed girlfriend. Aside from that, in the little I read, I found the heroine and her group of friends to be obnoxious, and not in an endearing way. Though I am willing to concede that maybe if I'd read the previous books in this series and already liked the other women, it wouldn't bother me as much. Aside from that, I felt like this book was trying too hard to be fun and quirky - it fell short on both counts. At this point, I'm not sure this author is for me.

You can't see my goofy grin through the screen, but trust me it's there. Reading a Lauren Layne novel is like eating a truly rich dessert with a whipped cream topping. Her books are decedent with a touch of whimsy.

I Think I Love You is Ms. Layne's finale to the Oxford series and really the Stiletto series too. It was the best friends to lovers romance I've read in years! I was delighted by the end and in tears after the epilogue.

Brit and Hunter have been friends as well as boss/subordinate for more than six years. Brit is the classic, friendly blonde next door. She's every man's best friend but never their girlfriend or wife and she's sick of it. Hunter is her very best friend. She's met his family, they know everything about each other... so who better to teach her how to appeal to the opposite sex?

I honestly can't say enough about this book. Hunter and Brit lived the friends to lovers trope which I have seen done a million times, the difference? I believed them. They were weird and quirky with muffin tops and insecurities but they both saw the very best in each other. At the end of the day, they were each other's very best friend. I felt their natural progression to a romantic relationship and any roadblocks in their relationship felt valid and honest.

This book was low on angst and high on sweet and sexy romance. I absolutely adored this novel. I need to go back and reread both the Stiletto and Oxford series because I am not ready to say goodbye! Brava Lauren Layne!

Fabulous series finale! The Stiletto and Oxford couples have managed to subtlety maneuver Hunter and Brit into a friends to lovers romance. Under the guise of needing help with men Brit convinces Hunter to be her guinea pig. I think you know where things will go but it's certainly entertaining to "watch" the feelings get jumbled. The cast has great banter, awesome friendships and really cool jobs. Sorry to see this crew end but it was a great ride, each couple has their own book and not necessary to read in order. My copy came courtesy of Netgalley, review provided voluntarily.
