I received an ARC from NetGalley for this review.
I Think I Love You was my first book in this series. The best friends to lovers trope is one of my favorites so I was very excited to read this story. Brit and Hunter have been best friends for years when she decides she needs his help becoming more seductive in order to find a husband. Hunter becomes her love coach and soon realizes he doesn't want to see Brit with other men. The story was overall very sweet and sexy. The pacing was great and kept me interested until the end. The negatives I found is that there were toooooo many secondary characters that were not really needed for Brit and Hunter's story but were added to wrap up the series. I'll say that keeping up with the names was very distracting. Also, this book is written in third person and because of the amount of characters it was not always my favorite. Overall, I recommend this book as a great summer beach read... 5 chilli peppers of hotness!

I've read a lot of romance novels with the "we're only best friends" theme. I felt like this was a nice twist on that theme. The characters are well developed & I enjoyed getting to know them & seeing what the other characters from the series are doing. I highly recommend reading this if you're looking for a sexy, sweet romance.

4.5
Despite Hunter being Brit's boss, they are best friends. So when she's sick and tired of feeling like she constantly put in the "friend" category by her dates. She's ready to get serious and start a family. Now, she just needs to find the right guy. So who better than her best friend, a veritable ladies man, to give her pointers in seduction?
I Think I Love You is a classic friends-to-lovers romance and Lauren Layne write Hunter and Brit perfectly. Starting out, I really loved their friendship. They are truly best friends. Understanding each others' moods and looks and knowing when to step in and help on a bad date. It's not very surprising, then, that feeling would develop as Hunter begins helping Brit feel confident and sexy, but it was quite a joy to read. The conflict of course being, if they develop romantic feelings for each other, how do they balance that with their friendship. Not wanting to sacrifice one for the other.
As Hunter begins teaching Brit, he starts to consider what his future plans might be. He doesn't see himself working at Oxford forever, rather he thinks he'll find his way back home to Missouri to be closer to his family. But, again, how does Brit, or does Brit, figure into that scenario?
I just enjoyed everything about this book. It was a fun, light, and quick read. And being that last book in the series Lauren Layne did a great job of having past couples floating their way in, out, and around the romance between Brit and Hunter. It's a great sendoff, if rather sad to see such a great series finished.
But this has truly been one of the most satisfying romance series I've read. I look forward to many re-reads in the future.

Brit and Hunter have been best friends for years. They are like brother and sister. Brit wants to meet the right guy and have him sweep her off her feet, however, it seems like every guy she dates, put her in the friend zone after a few weeks. She needs to get her sexy on and who better to show her than her best friend. Hunter never lacks for a date, he’s good looking with a Hot body. At first he is against Brit’s idea, but then when he thinks about it, who better to teach her the art of seduction than her best friend. Why is it that all of a sudden, Hunter is getting these feelings of jealousy when he imagines Brit on a date with another guy.
Brit doesn’t understand these warm feelings when she’s around Hunter. What’s up with that, he’s her best friend. As their lessons get more intense, Brit is afraid they might cross a line that they won’t be able to navigate back from. Can two best friends become so much more.
I loved this book, it was sexy and funny, plus I loved the ending.

Received an advanced copy in exchange for a fair review.
This is my 6th or 7th Lauren Layne book, the vast majority of which have been in the Stiletto/Oxford universe and I have to say... they have gotten old. The plots are not very original and themselves and if you read a bunch right in a row they will blur together.
I think Layne is at her best in the early books in a series because she still builds the world and develops side characters but, like many other contemporary romance series I've read, by this far in, everything is shorthanded. I've read most of these so I vaguely remember these people but I think a new reader would be largely unable to get their feet under them with the plethora of past couples.
That said, Layne's books are quick reads and her characters are mostly fun (assuming you can keep them all straight). The stakes are low, the endings are happy. If you like zipping through series like this, you can do a whole lot worse!

Usually when a series gets too long, I have a habit of losing interest but Lauren Layne’s Oxford and Stiletto series for me, is an exception. In her latest and sadly, also the last book in this funny, sexy and highly engaging series, I Think I Love You, readers are given the most relatable romantic trope ever, the friends to lovers story. Hunter and Brit are both working for Oxford, they’re both transplants to New York, from midwest towns and they’ve quickly gotten the BFF vibe quite early into their relationship. And it is apparent from the start of the book that they are the epitome of the BFFs. They have the most open and wonderful friendship. Until Brit needs Hunter’s help in the dating department. When their lessons starts crossing the just friends line, things get complicated and lines get blurred until these two have to decided what they really mean to each other. I Think I Love You is a fantastic and marvelous goodbye to this lovable series. The way Ms. Layne has managed to navigate the ever mysterious switch that triggers friends to become more was just eye opening. Brit and Hunter just tugs at your heartstrings and you kind of forgive the latter for his blunders because you just know that they are meant to be. The appearance of the other characters from previous books makes me nostalgic how far the series has come and how fitting it is that the final romance gets a lot of help from them. I definitely recommend this book from an author who I now consider the queen of contemporary romcoms.

Brit Robbins needs to figure out why every guy she dates breaks up with her and asks to just be friends. Desperate to find out what she is doing wrong, she hatches up a plan to get some dating advice from the one man in her life who knows her the best... her BFF Hunter.
Hunter Cross wants nothing to do with helping Brit pick up guys. But, leaving her in the hands of some slime ball isn't an option either. Taking one for the team and agreeing to help her, it isn't long before their innocent relationship-centric interactions start to change the way they look at each other...
When the best friends introduce in some benefits, their once infallible friendship is about to be tested...

"She'd been so sure that being with him like this would mess everything up, but right now it felt the opposite. As though they were finally finding each other after all this time"
This was such a great read! Brit and Hunter have an epic friendship that takes friends to lovers to whole new level of sweet and very, very steamy.
When Brit keeps getting friend-zoned left and right, she decides that she must be doing something wrong while dating, and asks Hunter to teach her how to keep men interested. With dreams of getting married and having kids, if she doesn't figure out what she is doing wrong now, she worries she will never find "the one."
Hunter is a devoted friend who agrees to help Brit out, but tries to keep them from falling into a blurred line of real attraction... pretty unsuccessfully. In focusing on Brit's dating life, he soon realizes that he doesn't want Brit to have a successful relationship.
While I loved this story and the main characters it focused on, I did feel like Brit and Hunter's story was missing a little something. With an abrupt feeling ending that left me wanting, I would have loved a little more substance to this storyline.
As a lover of all things Oxford and Stiletto, this book was almost a bonus story of sorts, and it was such a treat that I got to revisit all of my favorite characters from both of the series! (After the Kiss was my first LL book, and has had me hooked ever since!!) Brit and Hunter were late introductions to the series, but they were a perfect addition to the magazine alums whom I already knew and loved...
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

I received a copy of this story from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I've read several of Lauren's books at this point - she is rapidly becoming a staple in my stack - so I was really excited to read this one. Combined with the fact that it's a tension-between-best-friends scenario, I was all in. And I hate to say this but it was only okay.
There were parts I liked and thought really worked. And I loved seeing the progression of the supporting cast. But overall, I wasn't as into it as I've been with her other works. There were almost too many characters and it took away from Hunter and Brit's storyline. There were times when Brit felt rather annoying.
If you enjoy Lauren's work and have been following the Oxford and Stiletto series, I'd definitely recommend reading this one. If this is your first introduction to her writing, I'd start elsewhere.

A sweet friends to lovers story. In the final book of the Oxford series, Hunter and his best friend, Brit, are left to find love. Of course they are best friends who don’t feel anything for each other, or do they? The ease of their friendship, the knowing of each other’s nuisances and the sweet devotion they feel for one another is perfect and everyone can see they are each other’s soul mate but them. But when Brit’s self esteem about her love life starts to crash, she ask Hunter for help in become a “catch” instead of a “gal pal” to men. It starts the awakening of real feelings but feelings complicate their friendship. How could they really like each other? They are best friends not boyfriend and girlfriend.
There are also many cameos from the all the other couples that have gotten together in the Oxford and Stiletto Series. They are all really a big extended family of friends who all truly care about one another. Interfering and meddling and having fun are what all these couples are about.
If you like sweet friends to lovers story that is high on angst and fun on romcom, this book is for you. I enjoyed my time in Oxford Land. I felt like the end was a little rushed and a little too perfect but overall, it brought a smile to my face.

Sometimes it is hard to let go... to say goodbye to an experience that you loved. I suspect it would also be difficult for authors to close out long running series, series which have brought all their readers together with characters they have grown to love. I Think I Love You has become the last book of the Oxford series by Lauren Layne and we get to have a final look at all the characters from this series and also the Original Series, Sex, Love & Stiletto.
Layne had developed a group of smart, savvy New Yorkers... some transplanted from other parts of the country all coming together under the umbrella of a sophisticated magazine group. Over the series, the co workers coupled with each other and we benefited by being a fly on the wall. Layne covered so many topics during these two series... how men and women interact, how they need to get over their own demons, open up to the possibility of real love and then accept it when it is right in front of their face.
And in this tale of Brit Robbins and Hunter Cross, we get the classic case of What is In Front Of Your Face.
Brit is tired of feeling like a romance will never happen. Date after date, no matter how promising it may seem in the lead up...Men just don't seem to see her as "happening"...or "there is no spark". Instead there is the pleasant good bye and off they go. Now Brit knows she has a decent look and can carry a strong conversation. She also knows she is easy to get along with...so what is the deal...She is thirty, has a terrific career and job so how can she stop all this "Let's Be Friends" stuff and switch it up to "I want to have you over ever surface in this apartment" stuff..
After having a drink consultation with her girlfriends, Brit decides she needs to have some guidance, some insight about what men think about, how they see women and what gets their parts hard. Brit has the perfect person to go to, her best friend in all of New York....Hunter.
Hunter Cross has it all together. He looks like a men's magazine ad... and he does work for one. He is one of the transplants and thinks periodically about what his family is doing back home and how all of his siblings' kids are growing up and the family times he is missing. Yet, Hunter loves working at Oxford and the close knit group he has become a part of. One of his favorite parts is Brit. They are the best of friends and always have each others back. She knows all of his little "tells" when he is in a questionable spot and has saved his ass time and time again.
So it wasn't unusual for Brit to ask Hunter to come to her apartment to have pizza and a talk. What was crazy was what Brit was proposing. Hunter wasn't sure he heard her right...
She wanted him to tutor her in seduction for men...
What The Hell!
Oh, no that was not going to happen...and when they had this conversation, Brit saw Hunter wasn't going to change his mind. She didn't want to hear how great she was and anyone would love her.
He wasn't getting it...She was sick of being one of the guys to them...She wanted to be pursued.
Brit decided to take matters into her own hands and started practicing on another co worker who had a reputation for being a huge player. Brit walked up to this guy, batted her eyelashes and flipped her hair and Hunter went nuts.
What was she doing...what was that thing with her gazing up and looking all interested...Oh, No this is not happening...If she wants to practice, then it will have to be with me.
Hunter dug in and told Brit as much. They laid out ground rules and and let the teaching begin.
Of course, there was a little hiccup neither of them would admit to. They both cared for each other...and were worried they would lose their important friendship. When the coaching reveals how a kiss should truly feel to Brit, she is a bit lost...And Hunter is not immune to those feelings either.
This is the main focus of the book with all of the other past characters intermingling. We see where they are now, how strong all the bonds are and enjoy every moment. The men guide Hunter to see what is in front of his face and the women help Brit with her insecurities too.
All in all it was a solid wrap up for these Oxford friends we have made.

LOVED, loved, loved! This is a fabulous friends to lovers story with the added bonus of seeing all my Oxford/Stiletto favorites. Humor filled, fun, and sexy is what comes to mind to describe this book. When his best friend Brit Robbins asks Hunter Cross to help with her dating woes what else can he do but say sure why not. One fake date and Hunter knows nothing but trouble can come from this arrangement. Now how to get out of it without ruining the friendship. Is that what he wants? What does Brit really want?
Don't miss this one. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous friends to lovers romance.
Lauren Layne's I Think I Love you, the last book in the Oxford series was an absolute delight. I'm just sorry I didn't find this series earlier. Though the book reads well as a stand alone all the secondary characters/couples were so interesting I want to know more about them.
Brit and Hunter made excellent friends but I loved watching as things shifted and they started to be aware of their attraction. It was a fun sexy ride to their HEA. I highly recommend this book.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley.

I freaking love this series and really sorry to see it end but as with all good things we knew it had to come to a conclusion at some point. This was a good one to wrap it up and all the secondary characters from previous books have come back for cameos throughout the book. Brit Robbins is finding it hard to find a man or at least a man who will stick. She turns to her best friend and boss, Hunter Cross, for help as her "love coach" to teach her how to date and the art of seduction. The only problem with that is the teaching takes a turn and who is seducing who and is it for real and are the feelings for real? It was so fun to watch these two circle each other and figure out how to make it work. Definitely a fun and satisfying read and this can be read as a standalone.

This one didn't wow my socks off.
In part, it could be because this is the first one I've read of this series, so I am unfamiliar with the side characters who have hooked up already.
I just couldn't feel the connection between the two MCs. There was no tension there for me, and I found them kind of boring.

First let me say, I love the cover of this book! It really fits this story perfectly. I’ve read one other book in this series and I had no trouble following along. It definitely can be read as a stand alone although they’re a lot of secondary characters from the series in this book. Hunter and Brit are best friends and also Boss / employee. I love these kinds of stories and Lauren Layne certainly did not disappoint! Hunter and Brit together are hot and have great chemistry! I look forward to reading the previous books in this series. 5 Stars!

Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and Lauren Layne is the master of gently pushing her characters head over heels from comfy Friendsville to Totally in Love Town.
We're adults, Brit. We can have sex and friendship if we choose to.
Haha, not in the Oxford and Stiletto world, you can't. I loved seeing the Oxford and Stiletto guys and gals again - this really was the ultimate epilogue for Lauren Layne fans. While co-workers and best friends Brit and Hunter may not end up my favorite couple of the crew, their loving and goofy friendship made this a fitting end to the series. And I loved how nosy Brit and Hunter's co-workers were:
"I'm okay being that girl who slept with her best friend. I'm not okay being the woman who sleeps with her boss."
"Nobody has to know."
"Yeah, the people at Oxford are so good at minding their own business."
The fun here was watching Brit and Hunter explore the whole friends-with-benefits arena with friends and family watching them, knowing all along that Brit and Hunter were perfect for each other. Watching especially Hunter bumble around with his new feelings for his old pal Brit was so fun. I'm a big fan of the clueless guy who is suddenly jealous of every guy around his girl. The lovely part was that, as much as Hunter screwed things up and had to make them right, it was Brit who was always by his side:
"You need me," she said simply. "You may not know it, but you need your best friend right now, and despite what I said the other night, that's me. It'll always be me, Hunter."
And while I just called this whole book the ultimate epilogue for Lauren Layne fans, the actual epilogue was perfect, too for fans of past Oxford/Stiletto couples. It made me wish there were more Oxford/Stiletto stories to come.
Note: I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC generously provided by Netgalley.

This book starts off with the heroine, Brit lamenting the lack of good men to date. Brit's friends at Oxford magazine have all found the ONE- except for her. Brit's best friend is Hunter.
Hunter is also her boss at Oxford. She confides in Hunter about her dating dilemma. He reluctantly agrees to give her lessons on dating and how to get a repeat date. She's so nurturing an kind, she constantly puts herself in the friend-zone.
The men that she dates don't feel the spark with her.
This is 3rd person POV, so we get a bird's eye view of Brit's dating/seduction lessons.
Brit asks for Hunter's help. She starts by going through her wardrobe. Yes Hunter started to roll his eyes. He got into it and even gave some good advice. Brit would dress business/casual, even on dates. I really thought Hunter's reactions/feedback were spot on for a typical guy.
Hunter: "Lesson number one... When it comes to guys and first impressions, obvious is a good thing."
Brit doubts this but Hunter is adamant: " Making snap judgments based on appearance is going to happen whether you like it or not. Might as well work with it." [Chapter 6, location 772]
Brit gives the more flattering clothes a try and adds the flirting techniques from Hunter. Brit dates a couple of guys but she doesn't feel any spark with them. During the "lessons" Hunter and Brit get closer. They don't want to ruin their friendship.
Everyone at Oxford knows these two are meant for each other. They're the last to realize it or admit it.
I expected Hunter to step up, speak up and do the right thing. He's a lug head.
The women of Stiletto (the previous series) and Oxford support Brit and confront Hunter. One of the guys, points out: "Now ladies, remember, we men can be idiots. We need time to sort it out."
I loved Hunter. He was an idiot for most of the book. Brit did friend zone herself without realizing it With each and every guy.
I loved it when the light bulb went off. Gah, it took them long enough!
I loved the ending & the epilogue. I really enjoyed this. 4.25 stars. Book 1 was my favorite, this was a close second. I've read and enjoyed several of LL's books. She does friends to lovers stories just the way I like them. I was rooting for these two. Way to go Hunter. Brit, you're all right! You've always been all right. Now you know it.

I’ve loved every Lauren Layne story I’ve read and always eagerly waiting for the next. This story is the conclusion to her Oxford series and it was fun seeing all of the couples from this series which overlaps with the Sex, Love and Stiletto series.
Brit always seems to make friends with everyone but never has that special spark with anyone. So she asks her long-time friend and boss, Hunter, to teach her about the art of seduction. They’ve always been such close and platonic friends but Hunter is not prepared to help Brit in this way. As you can imagine, the fake dates and flirting start to lead to more and neither is prepared to potentially ruin their friendship.
This was a fast, flirty, sweet, funny, and quick read that I enjoyed although it wasn’t my favorite of the series and the end felt a little rushed. I love a friends-to-lovers story and enjoyed Brit and Hunter’s close friendship which eventually turned into more, although both initially resisted.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and publisher for providing this early copy of the book to read.

Truly an enjoyable end to the Oxford/Stiletto series. Brit and Hunter are perfect together. The best friends to lovers story is great and I recommend it.

I loved this book! It was the classic friends-to-lovers romance, and Brit and Hunter were both enjoyable characters!
